This is a YouTube video titled "🪵 Finally some Relief in Lumber Prices 🪵" containing a monologue or single-speaker commentary from July 21, 2021, discussing recent trends in lumber futures prices and their potential impact on the housing market. The speaker analyzes the price changes and market expectations but does not engage in a multi-person conversation.
More good news for the housing market. The price of lumber futures coming up in July is down 41%. It looks like they might have hit an unsustainable level, and maybe this is the lumber price kind of touching its ceiling. Now, keep in mind the price of lumber is up 400% in the last 15 months, but still, this is good. This is the first kind of retraction we've had. Now, lumber producers, lumber traders still believe that the price is going to stay relatively elevated. But this might be the bounce back and a more sustainable level going forward, which might be the time to jump on a new home. Today, SA.
