This is a YouTube video titled "How We Can Help in Volatile Markets ππ" containing a financial market commentary discussing upcoming CPI inflation data and its potential impact on mortgage rates, explaining strategies for locking in rates amid market volatility. The content is a monologue by a single speaker providing market insights and lending advice.
Big CPI inflation report coming out this Thursday, which will be a big market mover. Now, last October's report showed a 0.6% increase month over month. This October's report, which is what comes out on Thursday, they're estimating a 0.5% increase in inflation. So still they're saying inflation went up, but for the 12 month rolling average, we would drop off a 0.6 number and add a 0.5 number. So inflation for the first time in quite some, quite some time would be getting a little bit better, potentially, if the estimates hold true. If that inflation number comes in too hot, mortgage rates will skyrocket. If it comes in less than expected, mortgage rates should actually see some really good recovery this week. So very volatile times. And the cool thing we can do as a wholesale lender, we can still lock you in, have you protected prior to that, then if things get worse, you're protected. If things get better, no worries. We can go shop the other 200 investors we have and get you an even better deal. So you get the both your best ends of both sides of it. And that's something rarely any banking lender can do.
