Pretty big rule that came out recently that hasn't got a ton of headlines is the Fannie Mae Freddie Mac new rule on second homes and investment properties. So it used to be lenders could do as many as those they wanted as business came in. Now they've been capped to 7% as a couple months ago. It's recently been capped down to 6.5% for Freddie Mac and they're actually cutting it to 6% in July. So tighter and tighter, more limited seats at the table is creating a bigger divide. Those rates are getting pushed higher for all lenders. Something to keep in mind if you're looking into a second home vacation investment property. Just keep this in mind. SA.
