This is a YouTube video titled "Lowest Rates of 2025 📉" created in August 2025, featuring a single speaker discussing recent weak jobs reports, their impact on mortgage rates, and the Federal Reserve's potential rate cut. The content provides an economic update focused on mortgage market trends and expectations for interest rates.
Mortgage rates are near their lowest levels of the year, all thanks to weak jobs reports. So the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which is the most renowned jobs report out there, it predicted 110,000 jobs will be created in the month of July. It came in at only 17,000 jobs created a huge miss. That shows weakness in the economy. Like we've talked before, that means lower mortgage rates. But it didn't stop there. They also went back to previous months and revised those reports much lower. So, for example, they went back to June, which was showing 147,000 jobs created. They revised that down to only 14,000. Over a hundred thousand jobs vanished in thin air. They did the same thing in May. May was showing previously 144,000 jobs created. They revised it down to 17,000 jobs created. So there's hundreds of thousands of jobs that were misreported. If you've heard some of my videos before, I've been calling this out for months now, saying that the economy is not as strong as the reports make it seem. There's a lot of chinks in the armor. We just need the numbers to reflect it. And good things will happen to mortgage rates. That's exactly what's starting to happen now. And it also shifted the market's outlook on a Federal Reserve rate cut. The Fed meets September 16th and 17th, and now there's 85% odds of a Federal Reserve rate cut. Now, keep in mind, when it comes to mortgage rates, they don't wait till the day of for the Fed to cut rates, for them to be trading and getting better. They look at the expectation, the outlook. So mortgage rates are going to be trading off what the Federal Reserve members are talking about, what their expectations are, what they might leak to the media. So the interest rates, mortgage rates could start getting better in the, in the near term, before September. So keep a close eye on all of our info we're putting out there. We'll keep you posted on where mortgage rates are headed. But it looks like a very positive outlook in the near future.
