This is a YouTube video titled "Positive Outlook on the NAR Settlement #firsttimehomebuyer #homeloans #mortgage #realestate" containing a monologue or presentation from April 14, 2024, discussing statistics from the National Association of Realtors about the value and importance of real estate agents in the home buying and selling process, emphasizing their role despite the rise of online home shopping.
More positive takeaways from the recent NAR settlement. So the national association of Realtors published some pretty interesting stats this week that really shine a lot of light on the value and importance of a great real estate agent. 86% of home buyers use the realtor. 89% of homebuyers would use that Realtor again, which means they must have had a positive experience. And although people use the Internet to shop for everything these days, including homes, 29% of home buyers wouldn't have found their house if it wasn't for their Realtor. And even the ones that found it online, they needed their Realtor to negotiate the offer and get it accepted. And on the seller side, although 10% of home sales are for sale by owner, where they don't use a Realtor, the number one challenge they ran into was, how much do I list my house for? They needed a Realtor to run comps. And keep in mind, we're at least a million home short across the country, which means multiple offers on pretty much every listing out there. You want your offer to stand out. You want a Realtor to get that offer accepted. Don't try to do this alone. So I think in the wake of all of the NAR settlement, we're going to see the value of real estate agents really shine through. It's going to be highlighted. I think this could be a really positive takeaway for the whole housing market.
