This is a YouTube video titled "📈 Rent is Increasing at a Record Pace 📈" containing a monologue or presentation from July 31, 2021, discussing the rising costs of renting and home prices, and the financial implications for renters versus buyers. The content features a single speaker explaining trends in lease renewals and rent increases across the country.
We've talked a lot about how home prices are going up at a record pace. It's caused a lot of people that I help to consider possibly going back to renting. Lease renewals on renting is up 6% year over year. So that thousand dollar rent last year is 1,060 this year, 1120 next year. So on. Many people are thinking I want to upgrade and buy a house. Maybe we'll just upgrade and rent a bigger place. That new lease is up 14% year over year across the country. So keep in mind, when you're renting, you're just chasing this ever increasing amount. When you're buying, you're gaining this ever increasing amount. So totally different way to look. Sam.
