This is a YouTube video titled "🚨 Solar Panels 🚨" containing a monologue or single-speaker commentary recorded on April 7, 2022, discussing the impact of solar panel liens on home appraisals and property sales. The speaker explains how solar panels are valued in appraisals depending on ownership and liens, highlighting potential complications for sellers.
Solar panels on your home are not actually counted as value on an appraisal unless they're free and clear, unless you paid them off 100% and they're your property. If there's a lien out against those, they're still considered the solar panel companies and they're not real value to the property. And if you were to sell your home and you have a solar panel lien on the property, you either have to pay that off in full or negotiate to transfer that lien the payment to the buyers. That could be a little bit of a setback if you're a seller on a home. Just an interesting take on having solar panels on your house.
