This is a YouTube video titled "Tariffs and Mortgage Rates 📉 #mortgage #residentialmortgage #interestrates #homeloans #realestate" created in April 2025. The content features a single speaker discussing the impact of tariffs and trade wars on financial markets, specifically how uncertainty drives investors to bonds, lowering mortgage rates. The speaker advises homeowners and potential buyers about current favorable financing conditions and encourages reaching out for mortgage assistance.
Everybody's talking about tariffs and trade wars right now. So ultimately, I'm sure you saw the news, the U.S. imposed tariffs in other countries and there's some back and forth going on. It's uncertainty. And anytime there's uncertainty in the markets, investors sell out of stocks which are riskier, and they move their money into safer investments like bonds. Every time bonds have money moving into them, they get stronger. That makes mortgage rates drop, you know, every single time. Think of any uncertain times in the market. Mortgage rates were always low. You know, Covid years, for example, a ton of of money, all times amounts of money were pushed into bonds, made rates low. Now I don't think rates will go that low, but we're in the lower trajectory rates of the lowest they've been since October of 2024. So I think there's more to come. I think we broke below some levels where we might start breaking loose here. So what does it mean for you? If you're a homeowner or a potential homeowner, want to be a homeowner, this is the time where you're going to get better financing. However, the news is getting out and this is by far the busiest we've seen it in years right now. So it's. You're not the only one. Keep in mind the housing market is going to start getting hotter, which also means if you're a seller, you might be able to get a better deal on your house and you'll there's more buyers in the market and you can get a lower interest rate on the new house. If you've recently bought a house in the last couple years with a higher interest rate, there could be a good opportunity to lower that interest rate and get something better. So reach out. We are wide open all weekend. I mean, we've just opened the floodgates because that's what's coming in. And we're here to help people get their best financing on their homes.
