Big news in the mortgage world today. Mortgage giant Wells Fargo has pulled out of the mortgage space. Now, Wells Fargo is one of the big three, with UWM Rocket Mortgage and Wells Fargo being the third biggest mortgage lender in the country. So a huge sector of the market that's gone now. They'll still do mortgages if you bank with Wells Fargo or if you're in a minority tracked community with Wells Fargo. But I think it really goes to show, whether you're a loan officer or a consumer, it really does matter who you get your mortgage with. And that just apparently wasn't a sustainable model. You know, my take on it, as Wells Fargo always was, was kind of a higher margin, little higher rate lender. And that started probably dwindling down. They weren't doing as many loans as they needed to stay profitable. But they would then kind of spice it up. They would at times have really good. They rolled out a minority track program earlier this year. Very specific details. They give you a great deal, or they had pretty sharp pricing on their jumbo loans to kind of stay relevant. But everything else in between was way off the mark. So I think it was either you had to be very, very specific to get a good deal or they just weren't competitive. That's why we stay super competitive. Low margin, lot of lending options. And that is sustainable even during these down times in the economy.
