This is a YouTube video titled "Business Boredom: What to Do When You're Bored #shorts" created in August 2025. The content features a single speaker discussing the common experience of losing excitement in business ventures over time, especially for those with ADHD, and emphasizes the importance of persistence despite boredom. The speaker explains the natural human tendency to seek novelty and the need to continue working even when initial enthusiasm fades.
And it's normal, by the way, to get bored with something and it's gonna happen. I need you to understand that business, a lot of the time is gonna get boring, especially if you have ADHD like me. It probably goes a little bit like this. You are really excited about something for the first week, okay? You're like, oh my God, this is amazing. I can't stop, I can't put it down. I love this. I'm so excited to do this. And then the next week it's like, yeah, I should do that work. And then you do it right and you're like, you know, you're kind of into it, but you're not looking forward to it as much. You kind of start getting a little more distracted and, and you're not thinking about it all the time. Like that first week you couldn't stop thinking about it. It was all you could think about. Second week, you're not thinking about it as much. Starting to come mature. Third week you're like, oh God, I don't really want to do it. And then you kind of half ass it. And by the fourth week you're really bored and you're like, I don't want to do this anymore. So one thing is, there's nothing wrong with you and there's nothing wrong with the business model because it's come boring. We as humans tend to enjoy extremely new and novel experiences, okay? And that's normal. But you have to be able to do the work when it's not as fun or not as exciting. Because if you're constantly seeking out novel experiences like we discussed earlier, that means you're going to constantly look for new business models. But they're always going to get boring. They always do. It's work, it's a business. You stick with it and then you get results.
