The Truth About E-commerce Gurus (They Destroy Shopify Stores!) 🙅♂️

A creator breaks down why e-commerce gurus steer people wrong about selling T-shirts. He covers pricing, brand building, and keeping customers, sharing what actually works in print-on-demand instead of the hype.
All the gurus, youtubers, email experts, Facebook dudes, whatever, they're all lying to you about e commerce. See, we just took a brand new store from the beginning of February to today, which is March 8th to $113,188 in sales and 54 cents. So that's, you know, like a little over a month. Six figures in sales from scratch. And if I had listened to the gurus out there, this never would have been possible. Why is that? Everywhere I look and I had to make a video about this because I'm like over here giggling like these people got no clue what they're talking. Because I get these emails, I see these YouTube videos, and it's all these experts, experts saying don't sell t shirts in 2024. They're too low margin. It's impossible to make money with T shirts. All that means is you're low skilled and you have no idea what you're talking about. Because T shirts first of all are the number one best selling piece of clothing. Okay? Set yourself up for success. Sell what's easiest to sell. Crazy concept, right? And I just think it's funny when people say this because T shirts are our bread and butter, man. Like we have been making millions of dollars off of t shirts since 2014. 2013. Ish. And it doesn't get more difficult. It is about equally the same as it has ever been. And low margins. It's a state of mind. It's not real. Let's look at Pause, one of our stores here. I want to show you something. So we sell our T shirts here for $32.99. Our cost of goods sold on these, around $10 shipped. So we're left with $23 profit, 66% margins. Oh my God. So low margin. It's like, guys, the reason that people say T shirts aren't profitable is because usually they're bad marketers and they're trying to sell products for $19.99 because they don't know anything about building a brand. They don't know how to charge more money for a T shirt. So what they say is they lie to you and they tell you T shirts don't work. Sell high ticket dropshipping items and then what do they do? They sell you a in course about high ticket drop shipping. Am I right? That's. We both know that's what they're doing. Sip of crab to celebrate that. So what do you do? It's simple, guys. In my opinion, and I have the data to prove it because we have taken five stores at the million dollar mark and we're about to take a sixth. We just took this store from zero to six figures in a month. So believe me, it is on its way to seven figures, selling mostly T shirts. So why is it that we can do that? But, but all the gurus tell you it's a bad idea. Simple. They don't know how to build a brand. What I want to invite you to do is first of all laugh at these people with me. We're going to laugh our way to the bank, ladies and gentlemen, while they try to sell their. Whatever the hell they're selling, right? Whatever's high margin. And look, there's nothing wrong with selling. We sell other stuff too, right? Like we sell hats. We sell a ton of hats actually. Like hats are an amazing thing to sell right now. I mean basically anything that you can do, print on demand. We've tried selling it. But the big thing is, is T shirts are like your lead product, okay? They're the easiest way to get people into your brand. Because people buy T shirts more than they buy other shit, right? You have to think long term because if you're selling these weird high ticket items that people only buy once, guess what? They never come back and buy from you again. And if you're familiar with marketing at all, you know that the first sale is the hardest one to make. The second sales, the, the third sale, the fourth sale, when they come back and keep buying from you, that's where all the money is. That's how you make millions of dollars. But when you sell these really weird, random, higher ticket, high margin items that people only buy once, then you're stuck in hard mode because you have to get a first sale over and over and over and over and over because people never come back to buy from you. And I've talked about it many times on this channel how we have like almost a 50% return customer rate. A lot of our customers come back and buy more from us because we understand this. We understand that T shirts are where draw people into your brand. We understand that you can charge 32.99 for a T shirt. All these other guys, they say it doesn't work because they're trying to sell t shirts for $19.99. Like of course that doesn't work. Have a little bit of self respect. Know your worth, baby. Know your value. It's like, dude, keep up with inflation. You gotta be stupid to try to sell something at 19.99 when prices all around the world are Going up. And if someone is telling you to, teaching you that T shirts don't work cause you go to sell em for $19.99, there's no profit. You, those people are just bad businessmen if they can't understand inflation and raising your prices and people are used to paying more. You can't even go get like a $20 shirt at Walmart anymore. You probably can, I don't know. But I really invite you guys to go watch my video which is like I took multiple stores to seven figures just to prove it's not luck, right? Because you'll learn how to build a brand. You'll learn how you can have a million dollar T shirt company. And yes, you can sell other items. You can sell whatever you want, right? We got all kinds of stuff on here. Hoodies, hats, you know, crewnecks. If you're a longtime viewer you'll understand that. But go out there, stop listening to these people. Don't listen to their lies. Nonsense. The truth is, is you can sell anything. But if anyone's telling you not to sell T shirts, they're really pointing you in the wrong direction. They're damaging you. They're not setting you up for success. Go watch my video about how we took multiple stores to seven figures to prove it's not luck. See for yourself how you can build a brand like this. Because you don't want a store where you have to get new customers all the time and rely only on new customers because to make money you can do it. We've done it before. It's not the easy way. Okay? Building a brand, selling products that people come back and buy more of over and over and over and over and over again. Don't you want that? Don't you want people to buy from you 10 times? Yes. You are not stupid. The gurus are because they're trying to sell you shit. Anyways. Make sure to like comment, subscribe. This is a short video.
