They Want You To Be Poor (Here's How You Beat Them)

Devin Zander responds to Mackenzie's story about financial hardship by arguing that government policies keep people poor, and that entrepreneurship and personal responsibility are the way out.
This is what America is destined for, okay? This not being able to make ends meet. Prices are going to get higher, we will get fatter, we will get sicker, we will get unhealthier. Because that is the agenda. That is what they want for us. You need to take control, Stand up, say no more. And you make the changes in your life because nobody is coming to save you. What's up, guys? Devin Zander here and in you, like, metal thing. I'll never do that again, I promise. But in today's video, I want to discuss why it's literally more important than ever to be an entrepreneur. I saw this. There's this video that's been going around for, like, the past day or two. It's actually really heartbreaking. It's extremely sad. But it talks about the current state in America. And this video is directly targeted towards my fellow Americans, though brothers and sisters all around the world, like, don't get it twisted. They're coming for you, too. There's a ton of bad economic policies and, like, hidden agendas that are completely over the regular everyday woman and man, or they them, whatever, right? We're all. No. Like, the government doesn't care about any of us, to be honest. And the system that has been built is built to make us be slaves that just work for people. There's no. No actual critical thinking. There's no logic. There's no questioning things. That's not what we were raised to do. And it's getting worse than ever. But I saw this video. It was really heartbreaking. And it's about the current economic situation. This woman can't afford to live. And I'm just going to play the video and we'll comment on this a little bit. But it just made me. It reminded me so much of my childhood. And it is just so important to take our income and our life into our own hands because the government is not looking out for us, I'll tell you that. And anyways, let's get into it. I don't want anyone to think I'm hating on this woman. My heart breaks for her. Though I do fundamentally disagree with a lot of what she says in this video. It doesn't make her plight any, like, less heartbreaking. So let's watch the video.
I don't. I don't know why I'm making this video, but, like, I feel like my husband and I are doing everything right. We both have good jobs. I'm a nurse. I'm a registered nurse. I work full time. He works full time. We Just got paid this past Friday, right? We paid the mortgage, bought some groceries, put some gas in the car. And guys, it is Tuesday and we have like two or three hundred dollars to last us until next Friday. Like, we don't live in a big house. We live in little, little ranch. It's 1100 square feet, three bedrooms, one bath. Us and our two kids.
All right, like, what the fuck, you know, like, this is what we're told is the American dream. This is the way. This is what you. This is what I in the American school system have been brainwashed to believe in is the dream. You go, you get a job, you go to school, you study your ass off, you get good grades, you get a job out of college, and then you can't even fucking afford to live because poor policy has led. And listen, come fucking hate me all you want, I don't care. Poor leftist policies have led to ridiculous inflation. They want it this way. They don't want you to be able to afford to live because, because they want to take our houses from us. You know, they want to build their own investment properties and they want us to be on welfare. They want to build a social socialist, communist America where we as the people can't own anything because we can't fucking afford it, right? And then they want us to rent, to borrow from them while the bourgeois class is rich and they enjoy everything. Communism, socialism, sorry, doesn't work. People like this lady, people like me, people like you, average everyday people, this is what we get. We get despair, we get heartbreak. We work our fucking ass off and we get nothing in return. And this is why the system is broken, like we've been told, right? Go to school, get a job, be. Be a doctor, be a lawyer. Okay, yeah, I'll just go get fucking $200,000 in college bills. Be completely miserable my entire life, not be afforded to live. Oh, and 20 years later, when I finally pay off my college loans, and by the way, how many people are in their 60s, 70s, still paying off their college loans because you can't file bankruptcy, you can't get out of them. It's a scam do. Dude, you're 18 years old, like in, in these schools convince you to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars. There's no guarantee on the other side. There's no guarantee of happiness, there's no guarantee of a job, there's no guarantee of income, Right? There's literally. The way I see it, there's no point in going to college if your goal is to live a comfortable life where you make good money and you don't have to slave away from forever. If you're, like, dying to be a lawyer, if you're dying to be a doctor to save people, it's a very noble thing. And, hey, you can make a lot of money doing it, but if your goal is to just, like, live your life, be happy, make money, and just be able to relax, you know, like, not worry about your bills, be able to take a vacation, be able to see the world, which, by the way, everyone should do, because we have one life, like you and me, right here, right now. We think it doesn't occur to us that there might not be a tomorrow. But that's the reality, is there might not be a tomorrow. My mom died when she was 17. She didn't see the world. We grew up poor as fuck. And if this is what we settle for, like the current economic crisis, if we try to rely on a job or we try to rely on the government to fix it, all those dreams, everything that you have, everything that you want to do, all the nice things that you want to have, all the good things that you want to see out there in the world, the world is a beautiful place, right? If your goal is to just, like, get a job, float by and do the normal experience, like what we're taught to do, go to school, just get a normal job, blah, blah, blah, it'll be okay. It's. No, it's not. Everything is way too expensive now. It's not possible. You have to work your ass off if you want to make it. And there's only two ways you can do it. You have to be an intrapreneur or an entrepreneur. For those of you who don't know what an intrapreneur is, it's someone who basically, instead of starting their own company, goes and kicks ass within a company. It's basically like you show up, you work for someone, and you become an entrepreneur within that company. You don't just do your job. You do everything you can to help that company grow. Now, this lady's not innocent either. And I'm. You know, I. My heart breaks for her. This sucks. But let's keep watching the video. And I want to share with you. She kind of put herself in this own position, and I will show you why.
I don't. I don't know what to do. Like, I'm in school full time. I work full time. He works more than full time. He works overtime every week. I don't know what to do. I'm so stressed out. This isn't how it's supposed to be. You know, growing up we were told, you know, go to college, get a degree, work to support your family. Here we are, did that. Now what? Now what? I'm not into politics. I, I don't follow it. Frankly. That stresses me out too. But like, I don't know, somebody, somebody has to do something to change this.
Because okay, two things there and this, I can't begin to say how difficult this is to watch. I'm like fighting tears back watching this. I want to cry, but I don't want to do it on camera because it would be embarrassing. It's heartbreaking. But two things that she said is, I don't follow politics, it's too stressful.
What?
Well listen, politics is what put you here because we voted. A bunch of just imbeciles, let's just put it that way, who don't have your best interests as Americans or my brothers and sisters around the world. They exist in your countries too. They do not have your interest at heart. They are lying to you. And it is obvious. Look at big cities. Look at what democratic policies, the left leaning policies have gotten for our big cities in America. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Chicago. You don't even want to go to these fucking cities. They are the most dangerous cities in the world. And yet they are the bastions of hope, the bastions of progress, the home of, of left wing ideology. And yet they're the worst places on the planet. So yes, feel free to ignore politics. I ignored politics my entire life until 2020. And then I saw behind the Veil. It was like the wizard of Oz. At the end you see who's running the show. If you don't get involved in, if you don't state the truth like you need to speak up about how you feel about how we are being screwed over, about how we refuse to stand for it as Americans. So like you can't just say, oh, I hate the how, I hate how things are, but I'm not going to be a part of politics, which is what led to all of this in the first place. If you want it to change, you need to be a part of the change. You need to stand up, you to need, need to speak up, just let them know, like this, we don't want this, we refuse to settle for this. But the second part is what she just said, which is to do something.
To somebody, somebody has to do something to change this because somebody has to.
Do something that's wrong. I, I, Mackenzie, if you're the one who uploaded that video. I feel for you, but that's wrong. Nobody's ever going to do anything for you. There's no saviors out there. I wish there was. Guys, I want to be an idealist, but I'm a realist. We need to have an internal locus of control. Two types of people. We talked about this before. External locus of control. What does that mean? It means things happen to you. This is the worst thing. This is the worst position you could ever be in. External locus of control. You're literally giving up all autonomy. You give up all hope. You say, I cannot affect the situation. I cannot make change. I cannot affect anything. Okay? When you give up your power and say somebody else needs to handle this, then you're powerless. You accept that you can't do anything. You accept that your life remains where it is now forever until someone else does something. And I refuse to let you, the viewer, live that way. You feel free to do it. I can't affect you. But what I can do is tell you that you need to have an internal locus of control. You need to. There's only one person you can rely on, and that's yourself. You can't rely on the government. You can't rely that the next Trump or the next Ron DeSantis or the next Joe Biden is going to do something to fix it all, because chances are they won't. And if they do, it's not going to be for a long time. And you're going to continue to suffer unless you accept that you are the one responsible for your income, your health, your wealth, your happiness, your relationships. Guys, the reason this video hits so hard for me is because I grew up extremely poor. Next door neighbor was a crack dealer. Other next door neighbor boarded up house, lived in the hood. People got murdered across the street from my house. I remember watching my grandma balance her checkbook. I saw 200, $300 in there. I thought we were rich. I didn't understand why my grandma was crying. Because I was 8 years old and I didn't know any better. And I told myself once I finally could understand what that was. I'm a high school dropout. I'm not special. I'm not more educated than you. I have Nothing past an 11th grade education. But I decided to have an internal locus of control, which means I make things happen. It means things don't happen to me. I happen to things. I'm in control of my circumstances. If I want more money, I work. I got this big bookshelf right here. I got tons of books. I got another bookshelf out there filled. There's places like YouTube. The Internet is filled with resources. It doesn't matter if you build an e commerce business. I know that. That's what I'm all about. It's what we do. Doesn't matter what you do. But you need to do something. Because if we do not do something, then this is what America is destined for. Okay? This not being able to make ends meet. Prices are going to get higher, we will get fatter, we will get sicker, we will get unhealthier. Because that is the agenda. That is what they want for us. You need to take control, stand up, say no more. And you make the changes in your life because nobody is is coming to save you. And it's not going to be easy. I don't want you to get the wrong idea and think that you can just start to be a business and be a billionaire overnight. Because that's what everybody says on the Internet. It's going to take work. It is. But what's the alternative? The alternative is this. It is being at the kitchen table crying, two kids, don't know how you're going to feed them. Don't know if you're going to be able to afford your mortgage. Don't know if you're going to have a place to live. It's only going to get worse. We need to stand up and we need to take responsibility for ourselves. Never rely on anyone else again. Day one of your new life starts today. You're in control. You are the only thing that can change your situation. And that's great. It's liberating because it means all the power is in your hands. All you have to do is decide to get up, put in the work. If you want to get in shape, all you got to do is get up and go outside that door and walk, walk a few miles, eat less. If you want to make money, start the business, work on it in all your free time. If you want more friends, go out there and meet them. If you want to meet someone that you love, go out there and talk to them. But you are in control. No one else is going to do any of this for you. You need to stand up, you need to go out there, you to need, you need to grab what you want out of life. It is your duty to yourself. It is your duty to your family. It is your duty to our country to be the best version of yourself. And that starts by never relying on anyone else again and going out there and getting it. Okay. I feel for this woman. I hope that you're okay, and I hope that you're not insulted by my video. I know it comes across that way, but it's something I'm very passionate about. And we all have the power for greatness within us, but it's up to us to seize it. So I know this is a lot different from other videos I've made. I hope you guys enjoy it and leave a comment. Let me know. I'll see you guys.
