Yo, what's up? It's Devin from the From Delivery Driver to CEO podcast. I'm back, baby. We are back, and we ain't going nowhere. And if anyone says we are, you need to bitch slap them. Anyways, today I want to talk to you guys about a conversation that I had with one of my employees who was frustrated that he wasn't a professional or getting results after only doing the job for two to three weeks. Now, this is something I see in the online marketing space all the time. People are so pissed off when they don't get results instantly, but here's the truth, and you haven't earned those results yet. So let's talk about it, and let's get into today's motherfucking episode. Roll the clip. What clip? Yeah, roll it. All right, so the other day, one of our sales reps who had just started a couple weeks ago, he came up to me and he was like, hey, you know, I'm so angry. I'm just, like, so frustrated. I kind of feel like giving up because I'm not getting results. And then I look at the other people who are doing this, and the results are coming so easily to them. I wish I could just be like them, essentially, and just frustrated, thinking he's not talented, thinking this isn't for him. Oh, my God, you know, blah, blah, blah, I can't do it. And I was like, dude, honestly, shut up. Because you haven't earned success yet. How would you expect to be good at something if you've done it for two to three weeks? All right, the guys you're looking at, they've been doing this every day for years. And yes, it does seem easy to them because they've been doing it for such a long time. Now. Those guys, guess what? They're gonna give you systems. They're gonna make it easy for you, and they're going to try to make it so it's impossible for you to fail. But you can't expect to just come into a new skill, whether it's owning a business or running a store, doing sales, marketing, Facebook ads, YouTube ads, whatever. You can't expect to just, like copywriting, come in to something and be a fucking expert when you've only done it for all of five minutes on the grand scale of the entrepreneurship timeline. And here's the truth. Like, you can be good at something after doing it for a year, but once you've been doing it for 20 years, holy shit. You're on an entirely different level. And I don't want to say this to discourage anyone. In fact, that sales rep who was just, you know, whining about how he's not good yet and he wants to give up. Well, guess what? I was like, dude, just keep showing up every day, all right? Keep showing up every day and the results will come. If you keep putting in the reps, you will see results. Rome wasn't built in a day. You can, you don't get massive and jacked in the gym in a day like me. Like, look at this. If you're watching on YouTube. Oh God. So jacked. I weigh like 160 pounds. I'm amazing. But, you know, results aren't made in a day. You put in the reps, you earn the success, you earn the right to be successful. And if you're like angry at yourself for not succeeding, if you feel like giving up, honestly, some pussy shit, man, just gotta be honest with you, because you haven't earned success yet. How conceited are you to think that you deserve success when you've done something for 10 minutes for a couple days? Oh, you launched three Facebook ads and it didn't work? Dude, we had to launch thousands before they worked. And sure, you know, like, we sell courses and if you do take courses or something like that, you're gonna, you're gonna beat the learning curve. Instead of like this, right? Trying to figure it out. If you're watching video, you know, I'm doing a bunch of squiggles, like up and down and shit, you know, instead of like doing it on your own, where it's that, you know, you take a course or something, it's like easy, it's a steady climb up, but. But it doesn't matter. You're still not going to go straight to the top, put in the reps. Ladies and gentlemen, we live in this age, this era where everything is instant, where everything's easy. There's porn on demand. Dude. Like, I remember being a kid, if I wanted to look at porn, I had to wait till my parents were away. I had to load up my dial up modem. I know this is gross. Nobody wants to hear it. And now kids these days, right, they can just fucking. They load up their phone, they're like on the school bus or something. I don't know. I don't know where kids are looking at it, but whatever, right? Like, we have instant access to everything. We have Amazon prime, we have Uber Eats, we have Next Day to Live. We have everything handed to us quickly. And because of that, people have unrealistic expectations that, hey, success should Be quick, too. And, dude, sometimes it is. And there are ways to speed it up, like we've already discussed, but you still need to put in the reps. Like, listen, what's a shortcut to getting jacked in the gym, right? There is one. It's called steroids. Right? But even with steroids, it doesn't just happen overnight. You still need to show up, you still need to work out, you still need to put in the reps. So if you have a course, guess what? It's not going to magically make you successful. You need to show up, you need to put in the reps. And trust me, it is worth it. Because what are the. What is the alternative? To tell you right now, the system that we live in is fucking broken, all right? Go to school, get a job, blah, blah, blah. It's like, dude, it's not working. It's not. It's not sustainable. Social Security, it's not working. And sure, you can, like, be happy and you can do those things and it'll be fine. And if you work hard, you can actually grow up in a company, too. And there's nothing wrong with that. But the real truth is, is the life that most people want where it's like, I don't have a boss. I have ultimate freedom. I don't have, like, to answer to anyone. I can go on whatever trip I want. I can buy whatever car I want. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want with whoever I want. That's going to require most of the time, you, to build a business. And you need to be realistic with yourself. It's not going to happen overnight. I mean, God is like the most powerful being in the universe, right? He's omnipotent, endless powers. He didn't build the earth in a day. Think about how powerful he is. Took him, what, like seven days, seven nights? He's the most powerful being in the universe, baby. And I can guarantee you that after the first day of working on building the Earth and putting all his cute little animals on it, and when he wasn't done yet after that first day, he wasn't like, fuck, I just feel like giving up. I'm no good at this. God, no. He took time. He put care into it. He put effort. And the result was outstanding. We have this beautiful planet filled with all these beautiful people, this beautiful world, all these beautiful animals, you know? Point is, is you haven't earned it, okay? You have no right to be angry. And when I see people that are angry that they didn't see results after like three ads or doing it for like one or two weeks, I'm like, dude, you need to grow up. You need to come to grips with yourself. You need to get it together, man. Because guess what? You're working on something that's going to change your life. You're working on something that could make you millions of dollars that could drastically change your life. Your kids lives, your spouse's life, your friend's life, your family members life. Dude, first thing I did when I made a bunch of money, I bought my grandma a la Z. Boy, I know that's not like a huge deal or anything, but my grandma, she's one of those ladies, she's like, I love my chair. I just want to sit in my chair. I want to eat popcorn and I want to watch some True Crime on that. And so if I just. By getting her lazy boy, like, dude, boom, life changing. And guess what? If you work hard, you can buy your grandma a bunch of lazy boys too. Or you could pay off their mortgage. You can buy yourself a sick house. Like, there's so many opportunities, but you need to be realistic and you need to show up every day. You need to put in the reps and you will see results, okay? But stop being a bitch, stop getting angry, and stop complaining when you haven't succeeded after doing this for two whole weeks. All right? Hear what I'm saying? This is a short episode, but I needed to get that out there because I. My employee said that and I was like, dude, this is wrong. This is wrong. And guess what? He made fifteen hundred dollars yesterday in sales. Boom. It's his best day yet. I just dabbed for everybody watching on. On the podcast apps. And yes, it was really lame, but you know what? I don't give a fuck. So anyways, put in the reps, don't give up, and don't get pissed off when things don't work. Just say, look, that didn't work. Learn from it. View it as an opportunity. Because when you fail, it's not a failure, it's a lesson learned. Take that lesson. Actually absorb it. Don't just say, oh, that didn't work, and then just try the same fucking thing again. No, no, no, no. Learn from the mistake. Figure out what went wrong. If you don't know what went wrong, ask someone who will know, someone who can help you, someone who can tell you what went wrong and then learn a lesson from it. View it as something valuable. Then keep fucking moving. Try it again. Put in another rep. Go every day and you will be surprised at the results you see over time. It's not gonna happen overnight, but it's gonna happen quicker than you think. As long as you put in the results every single day. Anyways, this is Devin Zander, the guy who used to be a delivery driver and now the motherfucking CEO. I'll see you guys on the next episode and I hope you enjoyed. Make sure to leave us a fucking thank you. Five star review. Don't be mean. I need five stars. It makes me and my dog feel so good. All right, see you guys. Thanks.
