This was not the video I thought I would get today. Still curious about me, huh? This is an Eastern Phoebe who I met at the Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve where I was doing some bird photography today. He kept sitting on my camera monopod and me Even sat on my phone. These birds are known to be incredibly friendly. They're also said to bring you good luck and new beginnings. Some people even say that they will bring you wisdom. We'll have to see about that one. It's generally not good to encourage this type of behavior in birds. I tried to discourage him without being aggressive towards him. I also left the area he was in several times, but he kept following me around the entire preserve. Eastern Phoebes are notorious for acting like this, but they can scratch your eyes. Plus, while seasoned birders and nature photographers like myself might know about this type of behavior, your average jogger or dog walker probably doesn't. Speaking of the Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve, I'm actually going to be leading a winter bird photography workshop there with the Atlanta School of Photography. Just don't go towards my eyes, please. Please visit my website or their website for more information about that class. I really can't wait to see you there. I almost forgot, despite this little guy jumping all around and being on my camera, I did manage to get some photos of him. They're here at the end of the video.
There's nothing in there to eat. No. Do you want to be a photographer? Little birdie photographer, huh?
Thank you again so much for watching. Please like and subscribe, and I'll see you next time. Bye-bye.
