Hey, it's Don from WDO Photography, and I just wanted to quickly pop on and give an update on Muppet the owlet. So if you are following along and watching my other videos, then you'll know that Muppet that fell 100 feet from her nest on the Panther Hollow Bridge in Pittsburgh Schenley Park. She was rehabbed for 2 weeks and then returned to the park where she could be reunited with her parents and where they are able to take care of her. The first several days that Muppet was reintroduced to the park, she was a big star. In fact, I've seen national and international news writing articles about her. Muppet was very easy for a lot of people to spot when she was initially returned to the park. That's not really a comfortable thing for owls. Owls like to remain hidden and not be seen. Though they are a raptor, a predatory bird, they are susceptible to being prey as well. So this little floofy, fuzzy Great Horned Owl named Muppet, over the course of several days, made her way to places that she felt safer. And folks like myself, although I didn't see her yesterday, but folks like myself kept finding her. Crowds would gather and people were gawking at her. And again, that's not a comfortable thing for Great Horned Owls. Got a message today, this morning when I woke up, from someone who was helping out with her rescue, who said that she has seen where Muppet has gone to, that she is somewhere safe. She's somewhere a little more secluded, somewhere that people can't more— can't find her as easily. So she's also doing really well. She is getting food from her father, so that's always great to hear. So her family is taking care of her, and she is doing awesome, which is of course the most important thing. You know, everybody loves seeing this Cute little floofy baby, but more than, more than that, we want her to be healthy and successful. Well, that is today's update on Muppet the owlet. Keep following along because I'm going to try to safely keep a distance and still try to observe her, and I'm gonna obviously keep watching the parents and watching Muppet's sibling. I'm gonna keep an eye on all of them, and I'll keep posting updates as I have information. If you do spot Muppet, please make sure you're keeping distance from her just so she doesn't get freaked out and need to feel the need to move to another location. So, but like I said, that's all for now. So thanks so much for watching, and I'll see you next time. Thanks again.
