In this YouTube announcement, Don from WDO Photography shares that his wife has accepted a university teaching position in Atlanta, prompting their move from Pittsburgh to Atlanta in a few weeks. Don expresses enthusiastic excitement about joining Atlanta’s photography, photo‑teaching, and soccer communities, and promises to create videos about his transplant experience. He reflects gratefully on his lifelong ties to Pittsburgh, thanking the city’s people for shaping him and acknowledging the personal loss of leaving them. He offers local services—photography lessons, headshots, and coffee meet‑ups—for anyone still in Pittsburgh, and urges viewers to subscribe to his free monthly photography newsletter, which will continue to provide content and updates during and after the move. He frames the departure not as a goodbye but as a “see you later.”

Hey there, it's Don from WDO Photography, and I have some really big news to announce. My amazing, incredible, talented wife has accepted a teaching position at a university in Atlanta. That means that we are packing up and leaving Pittsburgh and heading to Atlanta, Georgia in just a few weeks. I'm first off super excited. Atlanta is An incredible town, and I can't wait to get there and get set up and meet everybody and get involved in all the communities that I plan to get involved with. So the photography community, the photo teaching community, the soccer/real football, not American football community, and, you know, and just getting to enjoy the town. I'm definitely going to be making a lot of videos about Atlanta as a transplant and sharing those here with you all. So, but Pittsburgh, what can I say about Pittsburgh? You know, this has been my home basically my entire life and I love it here. I grew up here, right? Really, truly found my place here in Pittsburgh, and and what is a place but the people that are in it? So really, I I have to say thank you to everyone here for shaping and impacting who I am. I mean that sincerely. This town has taught me so much. It's taught me how to be kind. It's taught me. How to be neighborly. And, um, and I'm really gonna miss it. I'm gonna miss all of you. Let's be real, that's who I'm gonna miss is the people. So I'll be here for a few more weeks. So if you're local and you want a lesson or you need a headshot or you just want to meet up and grab a cup of coffee, then please let me know. If you aren't already, please also subscribe to my newsletter. It's free, it comes out just once a month, and it's packed full of information about photography. And that's where I'll, you know, be sure to include information when we come back to visit. So I don't want to say goodbye because, you know, I don't think this is goodbye. I think this is more like see you later. So thank you so much for watching, and I will see you later.
