In this second video of a five‑part series, solo‑entrepreneur Donna Brown urges business owners to reveal the personal causes they care about and to share them publicly, especially within their Facebook groups or profile pages. She argues that authenticity—showing the hidden side of oneself, such as supporting animal shelters or advocating for equal pay—creates magnetic attraction and solidarity among peers. By openly stating their values, entrepreneurs can become agents of change, turning small individual actions into ripple effects that influence larger communities. Brown’s call to action is simple: post the causes you support, encourage others to do the same, and recognize that even a tiny pebble can create meaningful waves of impact.

Hi, it's Donna Brown, and I just— this is video 2 in a series of 5 videos about a giant call to action of becoming an agent of change. As solo entrepreneurs, we have decided to create our own lives and our own business and our own incomes in a way that is most— that reflects us the most. But does it really? My call to action to you in this video is to show that part of you that you're keeping hidden. Who do you— who do you donate— what causes do you donate to? What things are dear to your heart? What are you— what are you trying— what changes are you trying to bring to the world? Are you putting in— and do the people in your Facebook groups even know that about you? You'll find so much more solidarity and so many more ways of drawing together and pulling together If we come out and say everything about ourselves instead of having this, this business facade which gives us just like a little wedge of our personalities and doesn't let us show up for who we are 1,000%. And that is how you will magnetize people by being— that's what authenticity is. Standing up for stuff. So stand up for what you believe in. Tell people in your Facebook groups that's what you support. By the way, I'm a huge dog lover. I support, you know, I donate to shelters. Who else does that? I'm working on, you know, equal pay for equal work. I'm working on— tell people what you're working on. Encourage them, whether they agree with you or not, or whether they have the same interests or not, encourage them to say, what are you doing with your business that is doing good in the world? It's really easy to point the big, you know, your big— our fingers at large companies and governments and say they're not doing enough. But we are, we are so powerful. There are so many of us. And sometimes it doesn't take that much to send ripples in a pond. All you need is one tiny stone, a pebble. You are that pebble. So my call to action to you in this video is to— Tell people in your Facebook groups. Put it on your profile page if you don't have a group, or post it somewhere else in your groups. This is— these are the causes I support, and this is what's important to me. And encourage everybody who has anything to do with you to do the same. Thank you.
