Suzanne Longstreet, a mindset coach and hypnotherapist, talks with Donny Raus about NLP techniques, overcoming limiting beliefs, and emotional processing tools for personal growth.
Donnie.
Hi, guys. My name is Donnie Rouse and you are listening to the podcast One Life. Today I have a special guest, Suzanne Longstreet, who is a mindset and success coach, NLP master coach, and a master hypnotherapist. Suzanne believes that too many people get stuck in indecision and overwhelm as a result. Her driving purpose is to provide high performance mindset shifts that transform her clients thoughts and their beliefs. To do this, Suzanne uses quantum linguistics as well as other proven techniques designed to break through your limiting beliefs so that you can unleash your inner badass and confidently take action to grow your business and your revenue. Suzanne, say hi.
Hi. I'm so excited to be here with you. Thank you.
So for people who don't, I mean, so I've known Suzanne, we're both part of a group called boldheart, which is a kind of like a conscious group who, who have businesses that all aim to make a difference in the world. And through my conversations with Suzanne, I know her to be exactly that, which is why she's on the show and because I know she has a shit ton of value that she could bring and at the very least at the end of this episode, give you a tool in which you could start to make shifts in your life. So I guess the first question is like nlp, hypnotherapy. So these are kind of terms that not many people know unless they're kind of like doing that soul searching. If someone were to ask you for the first time, like, and you were explaining NLP and hypnotherapy, how would you explain it to them so that it was easy to digest?
Mm, absolutely. So nlp, neuro, linguistic programming. I would explain it as the practical side of psychology and how you can quickly and efficiently change your world and install new habits and new behaviors so that you can learn, lead a better life and make do more, be more, have more. So it's essentially being excellent at everything that you do. If I was to quote from Bill.
And Ted, and then how does. So how does the like linguistics like the explain more about like the linguistics aspect, what that means to breakthrough.
So neuro is brain, everything to do with your brain. And how we pro. And the linguistic, we call it linguistics are our middle name. So we use our words to change our brain wiring and we do that through programming. So that's essentially what it is. So the neuro brain wiring with words, linguistics and reprogramming or programming to change behaviors and beliefs.
Okay, so just to reiterate back so you use linguistics the way we speak to reprogram the brain.
Yeah.
So for those who are not, who don't know anything about that. So what do linguistics have to do with programming?
Oh, my gosh. The two most powerful words in the English language are I am. And anything that you say after I am programs who you are. It becomes your thoughts that you say over and over again become your beliefs. And your beliefs drive your behaviors. So if you just change your mindset instead of saying, and I've heard so many people. I was talking to somebody yesterday. One of my gorgeous clients said, oh, I'm so stupid. I'm like, oh, you know, like, stop that. So as soon as you hear that, stop it and change it around and to something. A more positive statement. And I want you to be really careful. There's some really great. What we see as positive words that aren't actually positive out there in the world. So things like I am unstable. Stoppable means stoppable because the unconscious mind doesn't hear the negative. So it's as simple as that. Those two words, I am changing them to something really positive and affirming and something that's going to help you and something that you believe. I think that's the other part is I remember in 1992, I was leading, I was in a sales world, sales role and I was learning from Brian Tracy affirmations. And I remember saying all these affirmations and they didn't work because I didn't believe them. So the important thing is, is believe it. And that's what the process of NLP does, is help you believe it. We call it a conscious mind, unconscious mind integration.
And what are the. What are the. So what are some of the, I guess, attributes or things that could help people start to believe that some vision, some goal, some desire that they have is achievable?
You know, the best one is to actually take a picture in your mind seeing yourself in that situation. So, for example, if you want to do something like attract a red Ferrari.
As your car, it's actually the car I want to attract.
Really.
That is very much so.
That's so funny. I just had an image of a red Ferrari. I'm like, okay, well, we're going to go with a red Ferrari. So you want an image. You want to be. So most people will just take that picture and put it on their vision board. Right. To make it even more powerful for your unconscious mind to program it to get there. You want to put you in the car on the picture and you can do that just in your own brain. So you just see yourself in the car, driving it. And the best way to do that is, Donnie, at some point on one of these weekends, go and rent one and drive around in it for just an hour or so and have people take pictures of you in that car and then put it on your vision board and it'll happen quicker than you have ever manifested anything else.
I believe that a hundred percent. So I, I'd heard this idea, they said. So money is one of the, one of the areas that people have the, like the hardest or like their, their mindset is just kind of is a little bit messed up when it comes to money because there's so many like negative beliefs around money. And I'd heard this, this tactic saying, you know what, carry in your wallet a few hundred dollars bills on the outside of a money clip and just do that. So that's why every time you pull out your, every time you pull out your money, you see a few hundred dollars there and you remember that abundance is there. So for the last, probably last week I've been doing that. And the psychological shifts that I've noticed just in less than seven days was interesting. All of a sudden I felt more calm and more like it was a natural thing to have this wad of money. Seeing the hundreds at the beginning and felt like it was 100 throughout. And it just after a few days I started to notice just a variation in my mind. And so what's the cause of this shift? Seeing it and what is it?
Yeah, I love this. And that's so true. It's really that your thoughts create your, plus your physiology. So your thoughts drive neurotransmitters. They bathe every cell in your body. So as soon as you have a thought, those neurotransmitters bathe every cell in your body. And so you feel it in your physiology. So your thoughts plus I say this so many times, it sometimes gets all blended together. So let's do it again a little slower. I get excited. Your thoughts plus your physiology, which is all your neurotransmitters bathing every cell in your body create your emotions or your state. And your state drives your behavior through the strategies that you run, they are running so deeply unconsciously that you're not even aware of it. So if you've just changed your focus or your thoughts, you've changed your behavior and you've changed your emotions, you've changed because you're bathing your cells. Instead of lack and scarcity, those neurotransmitters you're now sending abundance and, and joy and peace and flow and ease through your body. And that makes a huge difference.
And so what's the easiest way to break state? Because I know once the mind gets going, it is, you know, it's very hard. Once it's wound up, there's kind of no going back. You can try to. You can try to think something differently, but in your mind, you're like. It's like. Calls you bullshit, and it just keeps running the show. What is the. What's like the fastest way for someone to stop the process? Like stop a thought in this track and really, really shift?
Yeah. Well, the best one is stop it. Those are the two words that I use in my coaching all the time. So stop it. And then, and then do it again. Now here's the thing. A lot of time. And then put something in that you want. A lot of times people aren't even aware that that record is playing over and over again in their brain. So it's about first being aware your thoughts, paying attention to them. We have first thoughts, second thoughts, and third thought, third thoughts. So the first thought is I am. The second thought is you are. The third thought is thoughts about our thoughts. And so we want to be really conscious of what we're thinking and paying attention to our emotions, which a lot of people don't do. Because a lot of people, and I'm gonna say it, I know a lot of your listeners are women. A lot of women are cut off because they don't want to go into their body because something might have happened to them in their past and it was uncomfortable there. So they just stay out of that and they don't. And so they're cut off at the neck. And so it's really about feeling those emotions, paying attention what those emotions are paying attention to those thoughts. And then once you're aware of them, then reprogram and allow new positive thoughts to come in. And quite frankly, the best method I know to do that is to have a daily practice, twice a day of saying positive thoughts to yourself. Best time is first thing in the morning when we're still in the alpha state, as we're coming into the awareness and waking up and just before we go to sleep. And the best thing to do is also to do it in the mirror. In the mirror, looking into your left eye, which is the receiving side, really.
The first time I ever heard that.
Yeah. It's from martial arts and iridology and shaman shama. As the shaman practice There's a lot of theory around left side is the receiving side. So if you want to receive something, receive it in your left eye, especially if you want to say it to yourself. And at first you're going to feel them bounce, like those thoughts bounce, like, I am magnificent. Oh God, who are you fooling? Okay, I am magnificent. And the more times you say it, the more times you'll believe it. And so then here's the fun thing is when people, other people try to put their nasty negative thoughts onto you, you'll go, that's not true. That's not who I am. They won't bother you as much, so you become impervious or invincible.
So let's backtrack to the feeling of emotion. Because I know there's a saying that what you resist persists. So whenever there's resistance, that's what you keep on bringing into your life. That's what you're going to keep on feeling. So it seems like it very much is related to feeling the emotion in your body because most people, it's so uncomfortable that they try to. They tried to mute it, but as a result to do it, they're actually amplifying its effect. So if you could go into. So emotion comes on, what is the process of actually going through the emotion and being able to then release it out?
Honestly, the best one I know is hypnosis. And that's something that's. So give me a specific example.
So if I'm trying to think of someone in there, in their everyday, if they start to notice and then I'll share like a practice that I've actually been doing recently and I've noticed a shit like different shifts. But if, let's say a person who feels inferior going up to their boss, so there's this kind of fear and they get a feeling of not being good enough or feeling that they might get retribution for their boss.
Mm, okay, so fear, worry, anxiety about something in the future. Okay, that's a good one. So the best way I know is to go out into the future to 15 minutes past the successful completion of that meeting with the boss or that meeting with a friend or that confrontation that you don't want to have to do and see yourself shaking hands and happy and positive and feeling good and walking away satisfied and happy and so going out into the Future event, 15 minutes past the successful completion of that event, and then see yourself doing it positively. And I always, in the meetings in corporate world, I would always see them nodding, see them happy, see them nodding and Then what happens is it immediately shifts your physiology and your thoughts and your emotions so that as you walk into it, you're expecting a positive outcome. You're not in fear of a negative outcome, you're expecting a positive outcome, and that shifts your physiology. The way that you think, the way that you come across, you come across more confident, all of those things. That's one way. I've got another one.
I like that.
I love Dr. Amy Cuddy, who YouTube video. It's a TEDx talk. And she talks about. They actually did a scientific study where they actually had people stand with their hands on hips, like Superman pose or the V, the victory pose, like Usain Bolt used when he won the Olympics, like making themselves bigger. And when you. Yeah, and when you hold your arms up in that victory pose and your legs spread apart, what happens is your body believes that you're a winner or a victor, and your behavior then drives the change to your physiology, which drives a change to your thoughts, and you have a more positive outcome that way as well.
So physiology first. I like that. Yeah, I like that a lot. One thing I've been noticing is so the interrupting the thought in bold art, they say, oh, well, ask. Hmm, that's interesting. Why do I think that? But I have been. Lately, I've been doing something completely different. I'd say that's interesting. I may learn something here in the ask of seeing. I may learn something. Now all of a sudden, the download of the message or the lesson in whatever that thought process is comes in. It's like, holy crap. I've been finding things that I had been oblivious to, you know, year for decades. And now all of a sudden, the answers are coming right thing, because I'm interrupting the thought. But then I'm asking a different question in that thought interruption.
I love that. That is so advanced. And I'm going to share with you. When you are in a state of curiosity and learning, you actually open up more to possibility. And that shifts you inside. It truly does. So you're actually changing your neurology by looking at that and paying attention to what you can learn. And quite frankly, in the hypnosis work that I do is I get people back to the event and I ask them what the learnings are, because when whatever happened, you get the learnings that are positive about you and take them into the future. That just. That's all your unconscious mind has been trying to do, is get you to pay attention to what you needed to have learned in that moment.
Another powerful thing that I've been saying recently is divorce the story, marry the truth.
Oh, I like that.
Yeah. That one is because if you, if you put emotion behind it, then all suddenly like, damn, I've been bullshitting myself. And the real reason that, you know, my business or something might be is because, you know what? I haven't been in organized. And all this disorganization is what's causing me the stress where, where you might blame the business completely or blame, blame something. And then the, when the reality comes in, it has nothing to do with that, but it has everything to do with something that's stuff that's in your control.
I love that. Yeah, that's. So there's so many advanced techniques that you're using that you're, you're creating on your own that are actually part of what we do. So you're on it. You're absolutely on it. It's great.
Yeah. These are all things I'd learned from reading like Tony Robbins and all the different, all the different people in the industry. Even stuff that you asked me and then. So, I mean, so we said we already kind of go, we'll go back. What gets in the way of people? So the idea of one life is waking people up to live now. Waking people up to the desires that they have deep inside their hearts. Because that is, you know, it's, it's the idea that life is. Life is blessed, blessed, life is sacred, life is exciting, life is everything. And. But it's only right now, like we only have this moment and people put things off because they think that at some point in the future they're going to be able to fulfill these desires when the truth of the matter is, is that very much with the, with what we're talking about, like, about the whole thought process and because they're not seeing it completed, because they're not putting the thoughts, you know, focusing on towards what it is they want. They never, they never even take the first step. And as a result of that, time passes. Maybe they're too old, maybe their health is not there, maybe they have kids and family and it's very difficult. How would you know, like in your experience, what are the two biggest fears? What are the. I know that there's always that I'm not enough, but what are the things that get in the way that get people stuck from ever taking action on driving towards those desires?
Yeah, I think there's two things that I'm going to answer. There's. This could go two different ways. One is that where their focus is and One is their, where their focus is, that is present, past or future. And I forgot the other thing. It'll come back in a minute. The. Essentially it's. There's too many people who are focused on tomorrow and then they're living in anxiety and worry about what might happen rather than enjoying the present. Or they're dragged back into what happened in the past and they perhaps are running victim mode or they are having thoughts that are just too, too high, too focused on what happened in the past rather than enjoying the moment. And the other thing that I think stops people is, is the, the negative language that they keep telling themselves on that pattern inside of them. They just keep stopping themselves from moving forward and not doing. And the panic and the terror and all of that stuff and, and not paying attention to their emotions. That's what I wanted to say earlier is our emotions are data. If we, instead of just, you know, wanting to push them down or not feel them, if we treat them as data, what am I thinking when I think about that event that's happening in the future? What am I feeling? Okay, there's, there's something. I feel icky. Okay, well, what emotion is icky? And go in and feel it and use it as data to inform what you're thinking and then you can change your thoughts. So then you can be fully present in the moment and think about the outcome that you want in the future. And instead of dreading it, look forward to with it with excitement. But I do notice that a lot of people who are thinking that the future is going to be brighter is because they've had a bad past. And if they're not living in the moment, it's that they're, they're, they're thinking that they have to sacrifice themselves now in order for future gain. So there's a lot of different components that go on and stopping them.
I mean, I get caught in that one there that the sacrifice for future gain until it's. Until I say my body says no more. And I'm like. And I go, so if I'm someone or so I'm say, I want to book this trip to Rome, Italy. I've been thinking about it for decades because I love espresso and I want to try. This is me. But I've actually done it and I get this feelings of angst. Working through that process, okay, I've identified or taking that trip makes me. Gives me a feeling of anxiety. Now what, what specific.
And so I would go into the specifics. What specifically are you feeling anxious about, like, go in and really analyze it, find out what's going. Not the why. Why will just keep you stuck in analysis. Paralysis. Just in the conscious mind, the thinking mind. So get into the. What specifically am I feeling anxious about? So if I was to ask you, Donnie. Oh, you've been there, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. So what specific. And we can understand that the world. This is a time when we're in a pandemic. So the world you might. There might be concern about. Well, we don't know what's happening. And all of. And that's very. Nobody knows. And so if we were to know and just to drill it down into. Well, I'm really concerned and feeling anxious about what's gonna happen with COVID Mm. That's real. And so what can you do now to. Well, what specifically. I was talking to a client about this. She's worried about her children going back in the fall to school. They want to call them back, and some parents are wanting to do it, and some parents don't. I said, what specifically are you worried about? And she goes, I'm worried that they're not going to be cleaning it properly and the kids are going to touch each other because their kids. Her kids are really young. And I said, so what specifically are you. And we played it all the way out. And she said, well, I'm worried that my kids are going to get it. And I said, well, that's a really real concern. So now that you know specifically what you're really worried about, what can you do now? Well, I can keep them home and homeschool them. Great. Then that's. That's her choice. That's not everybody's choice. She's fortunate that she's able to do that and still run her business. Not everybody in the world is able to do that, so they need to play it out to. Okay, how can we do this? What can we do? What specifically am I concerned about? What are the steps that I'm gonna take and what am I gonna do that really helps to break it down and get us out of the. Why Crazy.
Yeah. And so where do you find people get stuck more? Do they get stuck in the past more or they get. Are they in the. In the future more?
What.
What typically, like, puts the block at people in your experience? I'll put it this way.
My. My ideal client typically is more stuck in their past because they've had some sort of trauma or abuse happen. So they are still. Even though they're trying to be in the now, they're they're thinking the future is way too up. They're thinking up a little bit too optimistic about the future. So they're not enjoying the present. And they're still focused on. Oh, they. The trauma. It keeps getting triggered. The bad thing that happened. And, and I call trauma something as simple as, you know, it's sad, but it happens too often. Bullying it. You know, something happened when they were 13, something happened when they were 14, something happened when they were 5, and they were bullied or left by a friend or abandoned, all of those things. And there's a little bit too. Too much focus on the past negative and not enough focus on the past positive. So I would say past.
And even looking. Looking into that past. It's funny because we take a snapshot of whatever it is that happened and then we apply a meaning over it. And I remember hearing a story once about a woman who was. She was in the train and her and her father had like a really hard relationship because when she was younger, she was. They were playing on a train and she was like hanging, like near the window, hanging out, and her father came up and grabbed her. In her mind, she created the story that her father was trying to push her out of the window. So it caused this tension. And then only after revisiting and going back and replaying the thing, she realized, holy crap. This entire time I thought my father was. I was playing in the window and my father was trying to pull me away and protect me. But how we get things wrong, you know, when we're translating these things, we get them wrong. And I mean. Yeah. Me, our meaning. Like the meaning. I mean, gosh, yeah, yeah.
And that's the label. We call that the label of the label. So in the meaning might be different. And it's based on our filters that we're running and our experiences and our values and our beliefs and all of the meta programs that we have inside of us. And how I view the world is different from how you view the world and our experiences. So that might have happened to you and you would have been what? Whatever. You wouldn't have even remembered it. Whereas she attached a completely different meaning to it that changed her world. And. And so. And at 5 or 2, we can't even. We call it the cup of our neurology is too small to be able to handle the. The swamp of emotions that happen at that time. So we push it underneath the waterline, deep down into our unconscious mind or our subconscious mind. Then it becomes a snarl that happens and it's Brought up in therapy 20 or 30 years later and that's no go.
Cat.
Yeah, no, that's, that's what we work with is those snarls that are down there, those beliefs, those, those labels, those meanings that we have that are not it. And that's why when you go and get them, the actual learning and that's positive about you, it just, just makes it disappear.
Mm.
Yeah.
Awareness makes everything. And I just had the question, let's see where I was gonna go with this. We're aware of where program comes, but some people have never started that journey. So they don't even know where this, where this meta programs were, all this kind of like this blueprint that they, that they're living, where it comes to it. So explain like to the person listening who may not be aware of it at all, what the, what the concept of this blueprint is. Like this map that they have in them, the programming and where does it come from and how do they start to realize and identify and just see this programming in action?
I have a seven day course that's going to answer that question. I'm thinking, oh my goodness, that's a big one to answer in a couple of minutes. The programming happens as a result of their life experiences and their family cultures. And for the first seven years of our lives, according to Morris Massey, that's our imprint period. And so we're learning from our parents and we have no critical faculty, we have no conscious mind. So we are just absorbing everything as truth. Which is why we all believe that Santa is in existence until approximately seven to nine years old.
Is delta and theta waves, right?
We're in theta waves. Absolutely. We're in theta brainwaves in which is a deep hypnosis state and between the ages of zero. But when we're born right until seven, and they're now saying that there's actual science that proves that we are in the delta state of brainwaves, which is 0-4 MHz in the womb. And then they start to speed up a little bit as we are born and come into life, and then they go in later, and then later they speed up and we get the conscious or the critical conscious mind and the critical faculty that come in in about 7 to 9 years old, sometimes as early as 5. Depends on the person and their experiences in their culture and what's going on in their family and the generational beliefs. There's a whole lot of stuff and all of those inform the filters that we have. So which is why it's really Fun. When we get married and we have all of those filters running, and I have all my filters running, and he has all. He or she have all their filters running, and this is the way it should be. And it's like in my family, my birth family, you walk into the house and you yell hello. Because we had four kids and. And my mom wanted to know when we were home and you had to kiss somebody goodbye. Because in our family, we had. This is unfortunate. We had multiple people killed by drunk drivers. So we kissed. Yeah, so we kissed. When we said goodbye, it was just the story, the family story. It's not that. Didn't that happen to everybody's family? Is what the child thinks. And now. So now I'm with a man who is lovely and delightful, and he doesn't. He doesn't. I had to teach him that you have to come in the house and say hello, and before you go, you have to kiss me, because I need. Those are my. Those are my value. Like, that's. That's at the base of everything I am. And. And so thank goodness he's willing to. He thinks I'm crazy, and that's fine, and he's willing to do what I need him to do. But this is the basis of some of the arguments that husband and wives or spouses have with each other. Well, that's my normal. Well, this is my normal. And how do we. How do we mesh? But they form, those filters and those metaprograms and those beliefs and everything form because of the family histories. And we don't even. We may not ever even know why. They just are.
I was gonna. I think. Well, I think it's a beautiful. It's a beautiful kind of habit to get into. I mean, I came from an Italian family, and when you said the first thing I thought of when you said the kissing, it's. It's very much in the Italian culture, it's like a sign of respect. Like, if you go into the house, if I brought. If I brought a girlfriend home to meet my parents, the first thing you do is you always go to the parents, you know, give a kiss hello, even if it's the first time you're meeting them. If you don't, it's an immediate. Like, then, you know, you have to win. You'll have to win back the, you know, like, the favor of my parents. But definitely a culture thing. So I thought. That's what I thought. When you first said that, I was like, oh, yeah, well, I can relate to that. That's kind of what it is.
My family with different reasons why. Yeah, yeah.
And yeah. So the whole, the whole programming, it's in people. I. In the reason. One of the reasons why I do this podcast, because it's all about living life, but it's also about bringing awareness and shifting perspective because everyone thinks they're alone. So I'm very. I like to express what's going on in my mind. Breakthroughs and different thoughts that I have. So this way people can listen to my words and see that, wow, you know what? I have those same thoughts because everybody seems to think they're alone. Everyone thinks that there's something wrong when they're. When there's not. Our brains were designed like that for a reason. We're designed for survival. So the whole, you know, I'm not enough or I'm not going to be loved, that's just. That's. They're not even our thoughts. It's just something that we've been embedded with. So when you realize. I went to hypnosis once, literally probably a decade. Yeah, actually probably about a decade ago. And I remember her, the woman saying something, she goes, listen, we all have the thoughts. The only difference is no. No one speaks about it. I was like, ah, really? I was like. But at the time I thought she. I thought it was just kind of bullshit. I didn't think she. I was like, I don't know if I believe her yet. But then over, you know, from being parts of different groups and people expressing themselves openly and being vulnerable. You really hear that? Yes. I mean, it is the same. We're all kind of running those same fears. And it's just something that's like default in all of us. And the sooner we can accept that, the sooner we just say is, okay, I notice it. Leave it behind and then go forward.
Absolutely, yeah. We all have core wound. And our label of that, which was what we were talking about earlier, our label of that is different. So my. There's. We call them. There's four different ones. We call them the four UN's because two of them start with the.
The word un and these, the wounds for their four wounds.
So they're one. It's one wound. But we use four different labels at the deepest root level level to describe them. And it's really what label has most meaning for that person. So it is. The two UN's are unworthy, unlovable, powerless, and not good enough. And those generally are the four core wounds. Like, again, one core wound. Those are the four labels that people usually. They'll pick one of them. Sometimes unworthy and not good enough. Get mashed up together. I've noticed that. And so we just pick one and then get rid of it as a limiting decision. And then another one that I heard which made me really sad, was useless and hopeless. So people who felt useless and hopeless, and those are usually tired, tied to powerless, but they just can't go that deep, which is fine. So then we just clear it, and then their whole life changes. It's amazing, the technique. It takes longer to build up the rapport and the belief and the willingness to do the work and to allow it to release than it does to actually do the hypnosis technique that gets rid of them. And once it's gone, it's amazing to see the difference in behavior within hours.
No, I'm sure I'm, like I said, going back to that little money, that little money trick, keeping that. You could see the shift happening in real time.
That's so cool.
And so. So we said hypnospiracy, beliefs that get people stuck. So if I had to ask you, what is your. If there was one, like, if you had. I asked this to everybody, if you had one year to live, what would you want to do? Be experience. And these are those desires that maybe you've forgotten about that you put off for a different time.
I'm so glad you asked me that, because I was like, I don't know. The first thing I thought was, I don't know. I don't know. I'm like, yes, you do. And I just went. I just had a picture of me living in the south of France.
Beautiful. Where would you go?
I loved the town of menton, which is 3km away from Italy. It's on the other side of Nice, on the Cote d'. Azur. And I could see myself in a little somewhere in the country. So there's a little bit of space around me and it doesn't have to be big. My husband and I are there because I really love the French language. And I took it throughout my schooling because I live in Canada and. And I'm relearning it as we speak. So I'd love to go. And I would spend the last year living there in France, enjoying the cheese and the wine and speaking French with my husband. That would be my ideal thing to do for a year.
I'm now excited about going to southern France, and I've never had that desire. And I mean, already. I mean, there's so many, like. And this probably we've probably already covered this, this lab, this last question, because it really. Yeah. I mean, you gave so many great nuggets of information that could help people break down, like the thought process as well as, as well as take it and have something. We're going to go back to the question anyway just because it's the. It's always the question I ask. If you had. There was one thing that you could. One tool and the tool belt that you can give somebody like the listener here to be able to take into their lives, be able to take an unwanted feeling to shift it or maybe and you can take your pick or you know, see that desire and be able to break through what it is that's holding them back. What's one tactic they could do that maybe take, you know, five minutes or whatever it may be, but something that they could incorporate their day to move them past it.
Yeah. I would love everybody to start saying some really positive statements that they believe to themselves. They start with I am and then a magnificent positive word that goes after it. And if it's, even if it's I am worthy, I am powerful, I am complete, I am enough, I am lovable. And if they just say those words in the morning into their left eye in the mirror and then at night, I do believe that. I've seen, I not only believe it, but I've seen people transform their lives. They. The things that used to bother them don't bother them. They take action in a different way. I think that's the really the biggest thing is they change their behavior, they change their actions, they are thinking differently, they're doing differently. And when you are different, when you be different, then you will do different things and then the outcomes and that you want will. You will have different things. So when you be different, you do different, you will have different and you will have what you want.
That just reminded me of something that a practice that I do is so normally whenever I do a any kind of journal, it's kind of like a journal of gratitude. And then I'll journal like accomplishments of the day. And one thing that I found was that we neglect to see that like the little successes, we're more critical, we're critical minded, we focus on the things we didn't get done and we don't give ourselves credit for the little things. When I started doing little successes and the successes weren't necessarily like, oh, I landed an account with a new store or I did these things, but little mindset shifts saying, wow, I noticed that I had a thought and I was able to kind of become conscious and interrupt the thought. Wow, that's because those. Those are little. Those are like, really. It's like nuggets of gold. Those are such big successes. Because the second you do that, and not just that, but also celebrate them with yourself, like, with that. Like a patting yourself in the back or with a kind word, then you could really. Then like the momentum, then you. It starts to become playful and like. And you're sort of looking for things to deposit, reinforce. Because you could only. You can only build on. You could. I'm not sure who says that you can only build on success. You can't build on failure. People might say, like, you know, if you fail, you know, what did you do wrong? But the success is the failure. Just like the. One of the biggest things for me was that the problem is the solution. It was. Came out of like a health. Like when my friend does some work with dysfunction in the body, he's like, that the problem is the solution.
Yeah. And you can focus on the problem or you can focus on the possibilities. Yeah, I. I like that. I. Robin Sharma, calls those micro wins. Celebrating the micro wins. And I like that micro wins and have five every day. And if you have five every day. And then he did the math. 150amonth, and then however many that is a year. A lot.
My math. And Robert Sharma, he's the. He's the monk with the red Ferrari or.
Yeah, the monk who sold his Ferrari.
Yeah, Yeah. I feel like this Ferrari stuff just keeps coming in. I feel like I'm pulling it into my now.
It's interesting that I was able to tap into that too. So that means that's where we're in deep rapport and it's in the morphogenic field above you. So that means that it's possible. It's right there. It's in the vortex. Donnie. Gotta reach in and get it.
I'm ready. Well, awesome. Like I said, that was. That was awesome. I really, I really enjoyed it. I know I came away with. Definitely came away with some new things. And I've been, you know, I've been in this. In this field studying just for the sake of getting myself better so I could help other people. And I pulled some. Some new distinct, like some new tools that I could apply to my. My, My life immediately. So I know people listening here now will be able to do that same thing. So I want to say thank you for so, so much for coming on. You're a beautiful person and I'm very grateful to know you. I'm grateful that you came on here. And if you. Anyone, last words you want to say, if you want to tell if people are interested in doing lp, if you want to mention how they could find you.

And to drink wine, to eat cheese in the south of France.
Right. I love that.
That sounds like a perfect goal to me. I aspire for the same thing.
