Donny Raus explores how feelings and focus shape your life through the Law of Attraction. He shares personal stories and practical advice on using manifestation principles to influence your outcomes.
Hi guys. My name is Donny Rouse and you are listening to the podcast One Life, More Than a Feeling. Every time I do a podcast or a talk on the Law of Attraction, it seems to be one of the more popular episodes. So I thought I would give. This episode is called More Than a Feeling, and it's about maybe where I think a lot of people get lost in the whole art of manifestation. And if you're hearing this for the first time and the word manifestation sounds like a bunch of woo woo, then I challenge you to just kind of just listen through the entire episode. Because whether you believe it or not, you're actually manifesting every single moment. And everything you have in your life, you've actually manifested so more than a feeling. So how do we get something in our lives that we desire? The Law of Attraction would say the way we get what we want is we feel it. And you could people say like, well, pretending or like feeling that you have it before you have it. Sometimes that could be kind of difficult. But in essence, what you're really trying to do is you're really trying to raise your vibration. Said differently. Raise your mood, you know, raise your mood. So this way, all that good stuff that flows in, this frequency of feeling good makes its way to you. Now if you're a little bit. If that's a challenge for you to understand, let me phrase it a different way. When you're feeling shitty, how often do good ideas, do good things come to you? Not that often at all. Right. Is it not because those things are available to you or those things are around you? It's because you're in a state that doesn't allow it to come in. Now, on the flip side, let's think of a time when we're feeling ecstatic, when we're feeling passionate, we're feeling excited, and we're feeling great. What kind of opportunities come? At that point, you start to become aware of different opportunities, different feelings that match where you are. So if I'm going to explain what the Law of Attraction is, it is very much just that it's about aligning yourself with the mood, the frequency, whatever you want to call it, that gets you to feeling good. This is something that I'd always done with trips. And the reason I'm on here today to do this episode is because it was kind of like this little click realizing, well, wow, this is something I do every single time, but yet other times I don't practice it. So what gives? And before I go further with this, I'm going To talk about your feelings. Your feelings are the guide to where you are currently on that emotional chart and what you're attracting. So when you're feeling a little bit unease, right? And the only thing you have to do is check in, because you know when you're feeling great and you know when you're feeling crappy, right? And you know when you're on that, like that baseline where you're not feeling good, you're not feeling bad, you're just flatlined. And that's not a good one, right? Because we want it. We want to be in the higher elevated feelings, higher elevated emotions. So without even going further, where are you on that chart now? All right, so once you've checked that off, and then you say, okay, well, what is it that I want, right? If I'm feeling this, what, what is it that I really want to feel? Because anything you feel is on a spectrum of lacking or wanting, right? So if you feel like something. I do sometimes when I'm doing my business, sometimes I feel like stifled. I feel like, you know what, I want to get out and I want to have excitement. So it's kind of like this cue that's always guiding us into the direction of where we should be going. And if we embrace those feelings, we can start to feel it and eventually lead our way there. Because again, like attracts like. So thinking. I'm gonna give you a brief story about a trip I had done when I was in Turkey four years ago, or maybe even longer than that. I was supposed to go to Turkey, but there was these feelings. I had this doubt about my safety. So it created like this, this. I don't even know how to describe it. It just. I wasn't excited to go, but I was going to determined to go anyways because I don't like canceling any trips. And it was the day before that I actually canceled going on that trip because of many calls from my father at the time. But just think about it, right? So if I were going in to that trip and I was feeling like something was going to happen, something bad was going to happen, I wouldn't be safe. How do you think I'm going to respond when I'm in that country, what kind of experiences do you think I would attract? Don't. You know, like, if you see someone who they look like, they're always looking over the shoulder, they kind of look like, you know, you look at them, you're like, what's wrong with that person? And as a result of feeling and being that way, they Kind of attract that which they want to avoid. So because that trip never happened, fast forward. So for many years to this past July, I went on the trip, but this time I was a little bit more prepared mentally. I was doing more research, visualizing a lot more, because I was like, all right, well, what am I going to experience when I'm on this trip? I know the basics. I know that when I go on any trip, I always meet the most amazing people. And I end up having friends around the world for the rest of my life based on these days, sometimes several days that I spend with them. So that was started to visualize and I started looking to the different areas and the route I was going to take around Turkey. And I started to build like this, this anticipation as to what I was going to experience. I mean, I was experiencing in my mind, the experience was already happening right here. But that is what made me start anticipating and looking forward to going on this trip. And as a result, I had an amazing experience. I had again, I met amazing people, friends that I'll have for the rest of my life. The experience that I had was one that I created, just like the experience I didn't have was also one that I created. And had I gone on that trip, maybe something bad would happen. Who knows? What is it for you? Think of a time in your life where you wanted something so, so bad and ended up getting it, right? Think of it, maybe it's like a car or anything. What kind of feelings did you put into that object, right? Were you looking at it and thinking, oh my God, you know, I'm never going to get it, I'm never going to get it. I highly doubt it. If you got the thing you probably were anticipating, you probably said, you know what? Regardless of what happens, I am going to make this happen. Am I right or am I wrong? And now let's look at the flip side of the coin. Let's look at something that you wanted to materialize but never materialized, right? That never happened. What were the emotions that you were feeling then? What were the things you were saying to yourself? Were you saying, ah, this is never going to happen. I feel like it's never going to happen, never going to happen. It's never going to happen. And as a result, it never happened, right? And were you concentrating on lack? What was your focus? What were the feelings you were getting, experiencing, and what was the result as a result of that? So what I want you to do through this is to realize that every single moment of every day, we are constantly we're like, we're in this kind of this flux moving through, like these emotions that either bring what we want or push away those things that we want in life. But here's the conundrum. Here is why it's so necessary, so important to pay attention to those feelings. Because where you spend most your time becomes an emotional home. So if you're spending all this time feeling sad, depressed, alone or in lack, that's going to be your everyday experience. But hopefully by listening to this, you become at least become aware of it. And you can switch around and go, well, how do I switch around? You switched around by realizing, what is it that you really want? I'd once done this course on time management. It was a Tony Robbins seminar. And one of the questions, he said, if you just do this one thing, this one thing, it's going to change your life forever. And he called it his objective Massive action Reason rpm, I think it's called. And so the first thing he was saying, what is it that you want? Always ask yourself that first. Well, what is it that I want? You can look at your body, for example. This is actually something that recently I was thinking about because a lot of times we say, all right, this is what I want. But then when we actually dissect the thing we're saying we want, we realize we're really focusing on the thing that we don't want. So I would say, okay, well, you know what? My hips are so sore. I don't want the stiffness in my hips. Don't sit as long. But I'm like, I don't want the stiffness in my hips. And by focus, what am I focusing on by saying, Donnie, what do you want? I don't want the stiffness in my hip. So rather than saying, I want to feel free flowing, I want to have this flexibility and vitality, to have explosive movements, feeling young, feeling vibrant. It's a different, you know, I'm saying, well, not really saying the same thing. I'm describing what I want, but not from the place of what I don't want. Right? So what is what I want to. So the whole point I'm trying to make is when you're focusing on, you know, the lack, if you're in this space where your emotional home has been in lack, your emotional home has been a place that you don't really like or feel comfortable in. Don't beat yourself up as a result of it. Because it's a good thing, because it's a springboard. It says, all right, well this is what I'm feeling. What is it that I'm really after, right? If I'm feeling sad and alone, what is it that I really am craving? Connection. And then when you get acquainted with those feelings of connection, you're opening yourself up, because isn't it true? And I know from my own experiences that sometimes I feel alone, especially when I'm traveling. I travel alone all around the world. And as a result of that, sometimes I'm envious of the people who are. Are traveling with, like maybe a friend or, or a significant other. And I'm like, man, you know what? I wish I had that, Wish I had that. But then I snap out of it and I remember the experiences I have as a result of being a solo traveler. The friends that I've met that have become my best friends for my entire life. And then it kind of flips like, what is it that I. I travel alone. Why is it that I travel alone? I travel alone because it's the people I meet that make the entire experience. Ah, yes, I remember, but that. It's this kind of the seesaw. When you see what you don't want, it's literally pointing a laser to the very thing that you desire. And the only thing that you have to do is to focus your attention on that thing that you desire and the feelings of it. I hope. I mean, it's funny, because I feel like this entire process is one that is so simplistic, but yet when you try to put it in there, there's a lot. Some people, including myself, at times have trouble doing it right. But it's a conscious effort, it's a habit to change your focus, to change that pattern of where you're putting your focus. So with. To give you. To summarize it up and to give you just a little bit of homework, just so this way you can see that you are literally, you're manifesting every single moment of your life. Do the exercise I just said. So think of one experience where you didn't get what you want. What were the feelings that you were experiencing thinking about that thing that you didn't get? What are the words you told yourself? Like the words that you say in your head, like, oh, well, I'll never get it. It's never going to happen. And looking at those two, see, do they align with the result you got? Yes or no? Of course they did, because I'm asking the question adversely. Let's look at the thing that you got right? What is the result or the object that you got that you had wanted that you were so excited about? What were the thoughts and feelings associated with this object or this thing? And then third, what were the things that you would tell yourself? How would you describe this thing as you would think about it? Like, oh, my God, I can't wait. This is going to be amazing. What things did you say about this thing that you got? And see how that correlates to the result. So once you understand that, you'll understand that in any given moment, you have the power and the ability to create anything you want. Yes. Some things are going to take more time, right? I mean, like, you can't make things appear out of nowhere, but by constantly putting your focus, your energy, your feeling towards that, you'll know that you're on the way and you will get there. That is all I got for you guys today. Hope you enjoyed this episode. If you did, please give it a thumbs up. Share it with your friends who need to change that focused. Start feeling good and I will see you again next week. God bless and thank you so much.
