Hi, guys. My name is Donny Rouse, and you are listening to the podcast One Life Worry no More. Because the microphone is on the right side, I have to drink my coffee with my left. So. Good morning, everyone. This is come to. I feel like I started doing these the morning. So in a way, it's actually all very fitting because it's like your morning coffee with Donnie to live your one life. And this podcast, literally, it's on a whim as well. I'm getting ready to depart today to go to Turkey. And so the podcast, I'm going to title it Worry no More. How often do you. Like, how often do you worry about something, right? Something is in the immediate future, and your mind is just kind of racing because it's trying to think of all the things to keep you safe, all the things you got to do, and it just literally, these things just keep stacking on it, and you're probably not even writing them down. And because you're not even writing them down, they literally just start spinning in your head. And as a result, you kind of like, go into, like, this frantic mode. Well, in the story, I'm gonna give you a very, very simple, somewhat simple process if you're willing to do it. It's very simple and just kind of some. Literally, this is a reflection of what's going on currently in my day, because as I said, I'm just getting ready to take my first trip out of the country since this whole. Well, I mean, I did Puerto Rico, but since this whole Covid thing, this is like my first big international trip. So when I woke up this morning, I was the last week I spent trying to, like, align everything, get everything, order. So this way, while I was gone, I didn't miss a beat, you know, servicing my stores with my coffees as well as doing the farmer's market. So I have my brother who's helping me out, and I'm training two people today to do one of my markets up in Fairfield, Connecticut. And in trying to do all this, there is this kind of like this racing of the mind because I'm trying to figure out, well, do I. Did I remember anything? I mean, did I forget anything? I'm looking, you know, looking at even just my packing list, and there's literally, my mind would just keep racing because I'm like, where do I need to go? Do I still need to go to store? No. Should I go make a bank deposit? Should I post these podcasts? And, like, it's trying to think of all, like, the ends it has to tie up before I take that trip. And if you've gone into that mode, I want you to just stop. So so many of the things that we do on a day to day basis, we think that are like extremely important or we may do them because we think that other people, we're gonna let other people down by not doing it or by giving ourselves some time. I'm here to tell you that is a lie. You know, right? You are the most important person that you need to take care of. And to get to the podcast to what the title meaning is worry no more. What is the one word, the one word that will literally release everything that you're experiencing? Got it. Well, let's see if your answer is match with mine. The word is surrender. So getting ready to go on the trip. I'm like, there's so many variables that are out of my control. Like, I just did the COVID test, pcr and I'm waiting for the results to back. I don't even know if they're going to get back in time by the time I make it to go to the airport. And then restrictions, everything's changing so fast because of, you know, the COVID variant and whatever it may be. So there's there was this like, this kind of like this angst and like, well, what if something changes when I'm there? What if I have to cut my trip short? What if I have to do this, what if I have to do that? Literally? And it kept piling on and then finally I just said, no, this is stupid, just relax. And it happens. Typically when I go for periods of time and I don't travel, I kind of get in like this mode of worrying about everything because I want to make sure that everything's gonna be okay when I depart. But then once I am at like getting ready to go to the airport, I realize, you know what? Nothing's, it's all out of my control now. I just have to surrender and trust that everything is going to be okay. So think about your own life now, right? Think about the work you're doing. Maybe you're in school and you have tests coming up, you've thoroughly prepared, but you're still worried about it. Or maybe someone who has some kind of health condition or something like that. You've been as much as you can, you're doing all the right things, maybe to your own health, but you're still worrying. What would it look like if you just surrendered and trusted that everything's going to work out in your best interest? Everything's going to work out in your favor. How would that change your outlook of your day, how you showed up in your day, how you interacted with other people? Nothing happens in that state of angst, right? Like, ideas don't even come to you when you're worried about things. You don't even get good ideas, right? Your ideas suck when you worry about stuff because you're trying to force everything. But the moment you let your mind relax, all of a sudden it's like, thank you. I could come up with some more creative answers. I could come up with different ideas, and then all the options, all the. The resources, everything floods in because you're no longer trying to force it. Let's bring it back to life. What in your life are you forcing? Are you trying to force feel those areas of resistance? Maybe it is finding a significant other. Maybe it is your weight, maybe it is your job. You're trying to build your income. Because whatever reason, what would it feel like if you were to just let go, right, and say, you know what? I accept that this while maybe I want to be somewhere different. I want to change. I accept that this is where I'm starting from, this is where I am now. Or that, you know what? There's so many things that are beyond my control, and I realize the only thing I do have control over is the actions that I take. How would focusing on only what you can control and trusting that everything is going to work out in your favor, how would that feel? First of all, how would that impact how you show up in your day? I'm repeating these questions for a reason. Hopefully they start to sink in and you hear them and you answer them. You realize, oh, you know what? He's got something there. I should just relax into my day. But ultimately, I was talking with a friend, we were talking about happiness, and she was like, well, you know, I think I'm happy. You know, like, I think I'm living a happy life. How do I know? I'm like, well, what do you mean? How do you know if you're, if you're feeling. If you're. If you're living a happy life? She's like, I mean, yeah, sometimes I'm happy. Sometimes I'm, you know, I'm in this state, sometimes I'm doing this. I'm like, well, so let's not think about, you know, like, travel and what you're doing, but rather that happiness is an emotional state and the quality of your life is an emotional state. Isn't that true? Haven't you been places where even if it's a place where you're not, maybe you're home in a certain area and you want to get out. But there have been times, if you are honest with yourself, maybe there's been some times where you were very present. In that moment you realized, you know what, everything is perfect right now. I know I've had many of those moments and it kind of like, it crushes like, you know, all the objectives and all the things I'm trying to do because I'm realizing, wow, if I don't need all this external stuff for that happiness and like I'm feeling the moment right now, then maybe happiness is something more than having all the experiences, everything else, maybe it's just being happy, like experiencing the moment, surrendering. That is all I've got for you guys today. I hope you enjoyed this post. This morning coffee with Donny Rouse. If you did, please give it a thumbs up. Share whatever thing you can do to get the word out. But ultimately, I want you guys to live a passionate and full life. And one of my reasons behind doing this podcast is to just kind of give you perspective on life, make you realize, well, one, everything's great right now. Everything is a matter of spectrum. Everything is what you're filtering through your eyes, right? You can have nothing and still be happy. You can have everything and still be miserable. So what does that tell you? It's all a mindset. It's all the state of mind. And I'm not downplaying anything because I, in my heart of hearts, I want you all to travel to experience the world because I think when you go out there, you'll realize that people are the same. People are awesome, right? There's good and bad people everywhere. But mostly in all of my travels around the world, what I've found is that people are mostly good. And you have, you know, if you're, if you're aware and you're smart, you could avoid all the, like, the negative stuff, right? It's when you choose to like, you know, kind of dance with, dance with that side that you kind of experience some of the stuff, like the negative stuff. But that is all I got for you guys today. I hope you enjoyed this post. I am off to Turkey, but. And by the time this, I air this episode, I might be back from Turkey. But nevertheless, I will be recapping that experience. God bless and I will see you guys again soon.
