Podcast episode (host: Dr. Anne Truong) introduces a new oral testosterone option marketed in the transcript as "Kaiser Track"/KYZATREX by Marius Pharmaceutical — an oral lipid-filled testosterone preparation intended to survive stomach acid. The episode reviews low testosterone (symptoms, common causes), diagnostic cues (ADAM questionnaire; lab range cited as ~300–900 ng/dL), and clinical details for the oral product: available strengths (100, 150, 200 mg), usual twice-daily dosing, and recommended starting dose (150–200 mg in the morning, with later titration based on blood levels). Contraindications (known prostate cancer, genetic hypogonadism), Schedule III prescription status, common adverse effects (polycythemia/↑hematocrit, thrombosis risk including pulmonary embolus, leg swelling, lipid profile changes, ↑blood pressure), and potential drug interactions (diabetes meds, anticoagulants, steroids, blood pressure medicines) are emphasized; monitoring (bloodwork roughly every three months, blood pressure checks) is recommended. The host also promotes natural testosterone-boosting strategies (sleep, weight training, Mediterranean-style diet, reduced alcohol, stop smoking/vaping) and advertises a paid community program (Modern Man Club).

Well, I'm excited to let you know there is a new testosterone treatment that is a pill instead of injection that's called Kaiser Track. It is testosterone adokinated. So what that is is a capsule that's filled with lipids. So that way it dissolves in your stomach easily and product is not destroyed by your stomach acid. It is produced by Marius Pharmaceutical Testosterone unconate is a long acting testosterone. It is different than testosterone cyprinate and it is an oral testosterone supplement. So when men have low testosterone or hypogonadism, the ranges is between 300 to 900. And if there'd become symptomatic, the symptoms of low testosterone is usually fatigue, decreased focus, loss of muscle mass and of course decreased libido and even loss of firmness in erection and also sometimes even osteoporosis, irritability and also even poor sleep. When you have low testosterone then you have symptoms, then it is time to consider perhaps testosterone replacement therapy. In the past, testosterone replacement therapy has always been either through an injection or through a gel or a patch. Gel or patch or sometimes very unpredictable in absorption. So the best way was through an injection which you do once a week or once every two weeks and also pellet implant of the testosterone. I do the injection and the pellet. But now there is a new treatment with testosterone which is through an oral capsule. So I'm excited to tell you about about it. So we talk about the indication for low testosterone. And so if you are low in testosterone and also symptomatic, you should be discussing with your doctor to get blood work as well. There is a standardized test to test for low testosterone called the ADAM Test, the Androgen deficiency questionnaire. Adam, I'll put the link to that here as well that if you answer yes to three of those questions it's indicative that you have low testosterone and and also know the testosterone start to decrease when you get older and it decreases around maybe late 30s or so. Also other Medical condition will also cause decrease in testosterone such as diabetes, sleep apnea, obesity, excess alcohol, liver problem, kidney problems, and also excessive illegal drug use and excessive cannabis as well. But certain medications such as cimetidine and ketoconazole and progestin contribute to low testosterone. So Kaiser Track, let's talk about that. Kaiser Track comes in three different dosages at 100, 150 and 200 milligrams is usually given as a twice a day regimen. And the starting dose is recommended between 150 to 200 in the morning. And then the doctor will adjust your dosage after several weeks and adjust to the appropriate dosage accordingly to what your blood levels are. However, contraindication to Kaiser Track is a known cancer to the prostate or you have the hypogonadism condition that is genetic etiology. But just know that testosterone is a Schedule 3 drug. So you can only get it through a doctor. And it need to be monitored because there's a lot of side effects of testosterone treatment if not being monitored. One of those side effects of taking testosterone is polycythemia, which is an increase in your hematocrit which then lead to clotting. And also if the concentration is high, can also contribute to prostate hypertrophy as well too. Super high level can also cause venous clotting and even pulmonary embolus. It also causes swelling in the legs and also can affect your lipid profile like cholesterol and LDL and vldl. So if you're taking this, you need to be monitored with a doctor. Your medication should be adjusted for cholesterol medicine as well as diabetes medicine. And your blood work has to be monitored almost every three months. So that way you don't have high red blood cell, which is a polycythemia. Also know that Kaiser Track can also interact with medication that you have for diabetes as well as your blood thinner medication, as well as if you're on steroid and also blood pressure medication. But one of the side effects also to be aware of of taking Kaiser Track is that it can also cause increase in blood pressure. You need to be monitored for your blood pressure. As with any medication, there it's benefits and there's also side effects and you have to outweigh which one is outweigh one another. If you are monitored with a doctor who looks at your blood work and monitor these conditions, you should be fine. But also know that there are natural ways that you can increase your testosterone, such as getting adequate sleep, moderating alcohol and also stopping smoking or vaping and exercise can also increase testosterone as well, especially doing weight training exercises. And just know that if you also eat a Mediterranean diet or diet less than processed food, less carb, you can not only increase your own internal testosterone, but if you are taking a little bit of supplemental testosterone, you only need a small dose of the supplemental testosterone and then you can increase your own production testosterone so it works together. So that way the lower the dosage that you can get the maximal benefit from, the better you are. Therefore you will have less side effects like the side effects I mentioned earlier. What I see working with my patient in treating their low testosterone or hypogonadism is that I advocate for them to be on a Mediterranean diet and exercise, get adequate sleep and also stop smoking and also moderate alcohol. I see their own testosterone level increases which then I only decreases the additional testosterone treatment. At this time I'm doing impellate and injection, I find that their body uses the testosterone more efficiently with less side effect. As with anything, diet and exercise is key to how your body can exogenous testosterone. So I wanted to keep you attuned of some new testosterone treatment that is an oral certainly I will try to use this in my regimen and I hope that's been helpful. I would really appreciate it.
