Today I'm here with Eric the trainer. He is a Hollywood physique Expert with over 28 experience in physical transformation. I love that word, by the way. And he's worked with top actors, musician, MMA fighters and the military. He's worked with Def Leppard, Arnel from Journey, Mike from Nickelback, the Fallout Boys, and Big Time Rush. Anybody you know that's famous? He's worked with them all. It is awesome. He's also his technique has been featured in Muscle and Fitness magazine, Train magazine and Access Hollywood and the Tara Banks Show. He hosted the Celebrity Sweat, which airs on Amazon Prime. Eric has traveled to the Middle east for the past few years and trained American troops also. Not only that, he's just a great person to be with and in fact, I just found out that he is raising $5 million for the Martial Art History Museum by doing 1,000 push ups, one push up per second. That is amazing. I can't think of anyone that I know can do one pushup in one second. Hi, Eric.
Hi. It's great to see you. Thank you so much for having me on your show. It's exciting to be here.
Oh, I am excited to talk to you because I just think that you offer such a unique approach to what a listener needs and want to, you know, and I want them to get access to things, things in here that and what you offer. So can you tell us about your unique approach to training?
Yes, I have a proprietary way that I train actors and actresses here in Hollywood. We work with people that are on camera or on stage. We work with actors, actresses, we work with producers and directors, but also rock stars, famous musicians, even celebrity chefs. Anyone who's on stage or on camera works out with us. And we train men and women in a different way. So you could say that we are gender specific trainers, Meaning that the ideal woman does not necessarily look like the ideal man. So logically, it wouldn't make sense that they would eat the same foods or do the same exercise. So we have a protocol to train women. We have a protocol to train men that are very different, and we get success. So most of the guys that we work with end up looking like Tarzan, and most of the women that we work with end up looking like Jane. And Jane does not go to the gym. So the hallmark of our female clientele is that they look like they've never met me. They just kind of fell from the sky. Strong, sleek, feminine, elongated and empowered.
Oh, I want that. I want that. I want to look like that. What about the man? What did they look like?
With your protocol, Most of the men end up looking kind of like this guy. Look like this guy Tarzan. This is Tarzan? Yeah, most of the guys look like Tarzan. Tarzan has broad shoulders, a small waist, a sharp jawline, and he's in great shape. So Tarzan could wear a suit, and you wouldn't necessarily realize what great shape he's in. But if he takes the suit off, he's the lord of the jungle. He could fight a lion. And so we try to give our men sort of a superhero physique. Small waist, broad shoulders, full pectorals, broad back. They all are very happy.
Well, how do you do that? What is your approach? How do you get that, you know, that Tarzan physique?
Well, you know, instead of thinking about fitness, like working out, getting in shape, whatever that means, we actually look at the body almost like art, almost like sculpture. So I may not be a painter, I may not be a poet, but I consider myself to be an artist that deals with bodies. And so we do a combination, a proprietary combination of classic bodybuilding technique mixed in with body weight exercises. So we do pull ups, we do pushups along with traditional shoulder presses, bench presses. We use a false grip on many exercises, Meaning rather than wrapping your thumb around the bar and using the bar, we actually do a false grip which divorces the arm from the exercise and really gets the primary muscle, whether it's the chest or shoulders. We also do something called the engorge phase afterwards. So, for example, if I was doing a traditional bench press, as soon as I was done, I would squeeze and the pectoral region and, and hold that squeeze for 10 seconds. This summons nutrient rich blood to the area and it allows you to change twice as fast. There's no mystery to the way that we do fitness, meaning fitness and religion should not be the same. In religion, you go through the motions of doing things you pray for for the, for the best case scenario. Fitness is not like that. I could tell you what you're going to look like before we start. We're very specific. I've worked for the same movie studios and the same producers for decades and I have no learning curve. So I have to be on my game all the time. It's a lot of fun though. I love it.
Oh, wow. So tell, tell me about the. The jet rep. Is that what it is, is that you hold it, the isometric holding the muscle and that's what brings in that gush of blood flow to the muscle.
Well, the jet rep itself is a limited range of motion. Meaning let's take shoulder presses for a sec for a second. If I start here with a weight on my shoulder and I press all the way up and come all the way down, that's called exercise. And there's nothing wrong with exercise, but what we do is we start at the bottom and we come up just above the head. Do you know why we just do that? That's called a jet rep. It's a limited range of motion. The reason we do this is, number one, it causes the muscle to remain in tension. So the time under tension stays longer. The second thing that happens is the primary muscle is working and it takes out the secondary muscle. Because if I were to call out to you the muscle that's working as I lift this up. Ready? Shoulder, shoulder, shoulder, shoulder, shoulder. Tricep, tricep, tricep, tricep. The tricep is the secondary muscle in any shoulder press. So by going only halfway up doing a jet rep, we're keeping the tension within the primary muscle and that muscle will change faster.
Wow, that is a very unique approach. I love that. And in fact, at the end I'm going to share that. Eric actually going to give us a site where you, the listeners and me will go on and you put in a code and get 40% off the first month where you can get access to this protocol online and on demand classes as well as live classes as well too. So this is my favorite part here. Tell us about what you observe with sexual fitness with the client that you work with.
Well, when it comes to sexuality, Especially sexuality. Within the Hollywood community, you would be surprised a lot of the top celebrities and stars that you see gracing the silver screen or on television or even on stage at big rock concerts do have issues with their sexuality, because sexuality is both a physical thing and an emotional thing. And many times when you're in the spotlight and everyone's trying to get your attention, it can really sort of rattle your brain and your mind is sort of spinning. Also, when you're staying up late at night and you're not eating a healthy diet, that can affect your sexual performance also. So what I'm really trying to say is many celebrities, especially male celebrities, have come to me where they're secretly battling sexual issues, and we have had to find solutions to those problems.
And how common is that?
It's very common. There's usually someone who has a sexual issue that we're trying to solve at all times. Usually it doesn't come in waves. Usually it's one after the other. And it's many times very surprising. It happens to younger people. It happens to older people. Of course, many people believe that as we get older, our sexuality naturally declines. But I don't think that's true at all. I think that if you stay in great shape, if you are spending time with someone that you truly love in your heart, and I think that if you eat healthy foods and get enough sleep and reduce your stress, you. Your sexuality can actually increase as you get older as opposed to decrease.
I totally agree with you 1000% because I see that with my patient with the. I treated over 7,000 men, and that's exactly what I've been screaming on top of my lungs for in the last 10 years working with them is that. That you can have sexual vitality for life until the day you die. And it all starts with what you said. Diet and exercise and mindset. And having said that. And I. And you and I are the same in our thinking and that you have mentioned previously before we talk that you're 53, but you're at the best sexual vitality right now of your life. How is that?
You know, it's kind of funny to think because When I was 21, 22, 23 years old, I was a girl crazy, wild guy. And there was nothing I enjoyed more than going on dates with beautiful women. And sexuality was a huge part of that era of my life. But now, Years later, at 53, I'm actually having sex more now than ever before in my life. And I think it has to do with the fact that I'M in a place personally where I'm very, very happy. I've found the love of my life. Her name is Alicia and we have a very close emotional and spiritual love relationship. I'm wildly attracted to her. I work out constantly. I eat very, very healthy food. I mean, the food choices you make many times have a huge effect on your ability to perform sexually. And here in Los Angeles, we actually have a food delivery service that I use and that many of my clients use, where every single day food is delivered to your house at 2 in the morning. So you wake up and it's ready to go for the entire day. Healthy, organic, portioned out perfectly. So there's no brain power use in selecting the very best food for what your goals are. It's called Sunfair. And so for anyone that wants to check out Sunfair, if they go to S U N F a r e sunfair.com, it's huge in California, it's huge in Arizona and we are going to be taking it national later this year. So it will be available in every major American city. But you know, they say you are what you eat. Yeah, you. That includes the bedroom. If you've been eating healthy foods, that confidence and that health will reflect in the bedroom and you'll just feel better.
What's your diet, Eric? So you said you eat healthy foods. What's your main diet then?
My main diet is a selection of animal based proteins, so chicken, beef, eggs, fish, turkey, along with water based carbohydrates, fresh fruits and vegetables, maybe a little rice because I am married to a Japanese girl. And so we eat sushi a lot. And then I drink lots of water, lots of green tea. And if I'm going to have coffee, I usually have it black. I don't add any sweetener to it or milk. I'm not a big dairy guy. I try to stay away from dairy primarily because the enzyme within my body that could effectively break down dairy to use it as muscle building protein left my body when I was about two and a half years old because from an evolutionary standpoint it wouldn't make sense for adults and kids to compete for food. So many of us, even that dewy dairy, whether it's cottage cheese or Greek yogurt, you're not, your body's not able to glean the protein out of that, so you're kind of wasting your time. And then there's a huge part of the population that's lactose intolerant. So you can tell that your body's intolerance. Right, right. So I stay away from dairy, but I eat mostly meat, vegetables, fruits, and a little rice here and there.
Well, yeah, listeners, look at this man, you don't, you don't see his whole physique, but look at that arm, look at that chest. That's what he eat and that's what you should be eating. And he's not on hormone replacement therapy. This is all natural. I can tell he's not, he's not on growth hormone, he's not on peptides, he's not on anything. So this all, you know, diet and exercise.
Right, and diet and exercise is best, by the way, like romance, on a consistent basis. So I don't believe in the, in the notion of working out three times a week. I think that you should do something each day to break a sweat and allow those endorphins to release in your mind so you feel terrific. I think that doing something physical each day, exercise wise, is much better for longevity and overall health than taking days off in between.
And does that include also having sex as well? Is that you consider that exercise because you burn about 150 calories for a man?
Well, you, you probably haven't been to my house. Cause I burn a lot more than 150 calories. I do believe that sexual health is like fitness in that you should do it on a regular basis. And there's an old expression used around Hollywood, use it or lose it. That includes sexual health. So if you go through long periods of time where you're not necessarily sexually active, sometimes it takes a little bit of prompting to start that motor running again. So I would maintain your sexuality because a lot of people don't want to admit it, but it's true. Part of your personal identity is tied in with your sexuality. And there's nothing wrong with saying that. Meaning part of my, part of my identity as a man is the fact that I have sex with my wife. And I enjoy the process. And it gives me confidence. It's, it, it is a proven medical stress reliever. And there's clinical proof that men and women that have sex more often live longer and fall into depression less than those that don't. And so to me, it's the best prescription I've ever experienced.
Yeah. And I prescribe that every day. And I even tell men that at least three times a week, kind of like exercise, you know, have sex three times a week, you don't use it, you actually lose it because the penis is actually a muscle. So if you don't use it, it actually Atrophy. Right. And get scarred down. And then if you only use it like once a month or once every three to four months, how do you expect it to be in good shape, you know, if you start to ask for more demand of it? And the penis actually has the highest blood flow per centimeter than compared to any organ.
Wow.
Any organ compared to the liver. The liver, it's a lot of blood flow, even more than the heart. So per per centimeter in blood, because, you know, penis can actually enlarge 30 to 40 times its size compared to when it's placid. And that can happen within, you know, less than a minute. So because of that, it's very sensitive because it's so enriched with blood flow. It's so sensitive to the diet.
Right, right.
Because it depended upon what, you know, what's floating in. In your blood. So that, that lead us to, you know, I wanted to mention, you were saying that you. You see a lot of the client you work with, which are stars, have, you know, sexual problem, is that the three most common cause of ED actually are reversible, which is one, the number one is alcohol, a lot of alcohol. So you're allowed six, I mean, 14 drinks a week or two a day, which is not bad. But if you continuously maybe do 50 drinks a week, you know, then there may be some issues. And then the number two is smoking. Smoking. And then number three is obesity, you know, obesity. And those are all reversible and manageable. Those are the top three contributors of ed. So it's not like you have a heart attack and you have ed. These are, you know, things that you can modify. And I know with your protocol, as we talk, what you have kind of an approach, I kind of call it sexual fitness protocol that you see actually transformation in about, what, three weeks. So can you tell us a little bit about your protocol for sexuality?
Absolutely. First of all, I just want to establish for your listeners that I was a martial artist starting at age 10, and I didn't walk into a gym until I was about 22 to work as a trainer. And so I was a martial artist for a full decade before I ever became a trainer. So I'm not necessarily a fitness guy that does martial arts. I'm a martial artist that does fitness. There is a difference. And from a martial arts perspective, if we look at the. At the hundreds, thousands of years of martial artists dating back to Asia, when they had sexual dysfunction, they actually treated it the same way. They treat many different injuries. And that is trying to put qi or blood flow towards the region. So there is a mystical reason region of your body that's located one inch below your belly button and one inch inside of your body that is called the Dan Tien. And you can look this up online. They have books written about the Dan Tien. It is the physical and spiritual center of any martial artist. And so everything should flow out of that Dan Tien and give you life force energy, which they call Qi, which is spelled Q I. And we actually work, by the way, as a sidebar, we work with a qigong master here in Hollywood named Chris Shelton, who is a curative qigong master. This guy is amazing. He's kind of a modern day Mr. Miyagi. He's so fantastic. And he really heals any client that we have that suffers from injuries or mental stress that they can't shake. He actually is on site and he heals them using their qi, using their life force energy and increasing it so they get better. But what we do as martial artists to help cure ed is we go to regions in the pelvic section and we rub in a circle vigorously for between 30 seconds to 90 seconds. And what that does is it summons nutrient rich blood to the area. And many times it just increases blood flow. So many guys, when they initially have the reaction of shock, when their penis does not respond to them, they actually try to shake it around like it's a party favor. They try to sort of wake it up like it's a, a friend that fainted. And they're not wrong because sometimes by moving it around a little bit, you can get some blood flow going. But a more accurate and a more effective way to do it is actually to go to the base of the penis, so, or the testicles and massage those because that's where the blood is surging from. So whether it's a gentle, and I mean gentle testicle massage, because those little guys are sensitive, or it's going to the base of the penis right above the top where the, where the pubic bone is, and rubbing in a circle vigorously for 30 seconds to 90 seconds. This begins to initiate nutrient rich blood flow to the region. And it can really help. Now, in some cases where that's not as effective, we actually go to the lower pelvic floor in between the testicles and the anus, that part, and we actually massage that region. And this is self massage. You don't have to hire anyone to do this. And you should do it with care. We don't want you to hurt yourself, but we want you and it's a circular motion. It's not pressing down, it's not rubbing back and forth. It's a circular motion. Blood flow.
How much pressure? Like light pressure? Kind of a light pressure?
I would say medium pressure. Yeah, it's not light pressure. It's medium pressure. You can start light and increase it gently, but that literally summons nutrient rich blood to the region. And many times by doing that several days in a row, you can start to really increase the blood flow to your entire pelvic girdle, let alone the penis. And then by actually stroking the penis, and you'll notice it will respond faster. And I would encourage people that are experiencing ED to bring blood to the area and then feel free to masturbate and to sort of see, let that process reinitiate. Sometimes if you haven't ejaculated in a while, it's not just ED you're experiencing. The whole system's kind of shut down. And like a friend that's asleep, you don't want to shake them and yell at them. You want to gently wake them up. And as they come, as they come to consciousness, you want to have good communication here I am talking about communication with your penis. Yes, I am. I'm talking about communication.
I love that. Communication with your penis. Yes. Wake up.
But I'm telling you, there is a mind muscle connection when you work out like so. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time and a great mentor of mine, used to say to me, before he did bicep curls, he would imagine mountain peaks. So as he did each bicep curl, he would fantasize that he was creating the Alps. He said that when he did chest, he would imagine that he was creating these, these, these huge pieces of sculpture within his own pectoral region. That mind muscle connection is actually true for sexuality also. So there has to be a connection between your mind and your sexual organs where you have contact, let's call it, and a relationship where you can reawaken that part of you and feel that tantalizing desire again. Because sexuality is a physical thing, but it's also an emotional and spiritual thing at its highest level. So don't think about the process of getting an erection and ejaculating just as a physical thing. I mean, a hug is a physical thing, but it actually is a. It's an emotional delivery system. And I would, I would say that on the highest level, when you make love with someone who you adore, whether it's a man or A woman, whatever you like. And we welcome people from every walk of life here. We have trans people here, we have homosexuals here, we have people that are relatively asexual here. And there's no wrong, there's no wrong answer, there's no wrong identity. But as you have intimacy with a partner by yourself, try to make the emotional as important as the spiritual, as important as the physical. And that triad becomes something that becomes part of your identity. Because I can tell you this, I've never done drugs in my life. I've never smoked a cigarette, I've never smoked marijuana. I've never done any drugs in my life. But the high that I get from an orgasm, my goodness, I can barely take it. I mean, sometimes I look at my wife and I'm like, you know, I'm going to have a heart attack one of these days because you ticked me off the cliff of Mount Sinai, you know. And she laughs. Because the male orgasm, you know, can be something that's, that's quite. It's like going on a joyride. It's like going on a roller coaster. It's. It's amazing.
Well, when, when you have an orgasm, men and women, you actually release about a thousand neurotransmitters in your brain. That, that's why you have that high and that explosion. There's like a thousand different chemicals that is in your, your body that is released at the same time. So it's healthy for like you said, not only the penis and the, but it's also for the brain as well. And everything you touch upon is what I, is what I have always teach in my framework about regaining sexual performance mastery. It starts with the brain and the emotion and then the hormone and it goes to the nerve and the blood vessels and the muscles, which is the penis. And the sexual response actually starts with, in the brain. Do you agree with that? It starts here, not down below the belt.
It really does. And therefore, because we know that it's an emotional and psychological process that begins in the brain, if you have bad feelings about yourself or your partner, if you are overwhelmed with stress, if you have low self identity, that can really affect your sexual ability to perform. And so it's important for you to, to have a strong self identity and to have confidence in the person that you're, that you are. And if you find that you're working at a job that doesn't mean much to you, if you find that you're in a relationship with a partner who doesn't satisfy you psychologically, emotionally, it might Be time to change. And there's nothing wrong with change. I mean, I'm speaking to you as a guy who is divorced. I had a first wife, and we grew apart, and we divorced. And now I'm in a second marriage, and I've never been happier in my life. And so I come to you as someone who had to make that decision to shift away from a partner. And we're now friends, and we share a son who's terrific, and so that's lovely. My son Henry is my favorite guy in the world. But, you know, sometimes it takes courage to recognize the fact that you need something different than you currently have. And I encourage you to have that courage and to step away from the person that's not inspiring you and find someone who loves you for the person you are and work at a job that. That you're passionate about. I mean, ask yourself a question. If you suddenly won $50 million in a contest and you didn't have to work anymore, would you still do the job that you're doing today? If the answer is no, you may want to consider. What do you want to do with your life? Life is relatively short. I mean, I remember what it was like to be 23 years old and take cute girls to the movies in New York city. Now I'm 53, and I live in Los Angeles, and I'm married to a beautiful woman. And it went by like that. So life is short. You should enjoy yourself, spend time with those people that you love. And then when you're with those people that you love, let them know. Let them know, say, you know what? I love you. I appreciate you. I honor you. Like, let them know, because life is short, and it's important to be honest with yourself and live an authentic life.
Right? And I. I love the way how you say that, because I. One of my mentor, I. I went. I met, like, a couple years ago. He advised me to calculate how many hours I have in my life. So in the US life expectancy for a woman is 80, but for a man is 79. So if you. So I'm. I'm 55 now, and mine. And at 80 times, you know, 55 and I. And then I multiply the years and multiply the hours. I have about approximately 200,000 hours in this world. If I die at 80, 200,000 hours, that's not a lot of hours in this planet that I have to do what I want to do, make the impact that I want to do. So when you say that, I encourage the listeners to let's just say your man, you know, calculate. 80 years old, of course you want to live longer and, and there's, and there's opportunity for you to live longer. But let's say 80, calculate how many hours you have in this world and think about what Eric just said. If you have, for me, 200,000 hours in this world, if I'm not happy in what I'm doing, I better change and do something about it. And one of my passion is, is really spreading the word about sexual longevity in that, you know, what we touched upon earlier with that sexuality does not have to decline as you get older. In fact, like you, it should be better. It's like wine, right? As you age, it should be better, it should taste better. You know, the experience that you have and the emotional maturity that you have as you get older, it should be a better experience. Instead of, you know, in your 50s is declining.
Right.
What are your thoughts on that?
Based on what you just said? I'm going to start making T shirts for you that says life is short, but I'm not down there. Have sex now. How's that?
Oh, I love it. I love it. Oh, my God, I do want a T shirt like that.
Excellent.
Life is short. Have sex right now.
Yes, now. And I'm going to give you, Ann, I'm going to give you and your listeners a little bit of a life hack. And that is the average age of the person in America. They usually live to be between 79 and 80. But if you want to extend that, if you want to be 80, 85, 90, 95, but feeling healthy, they have now found out that the smaller your waist, the longer your life. And conversely, the bigger your waist, the shorter your life. So if your desire is to be above average in your lifespan, make sure to keep your waist small at the end of the day, when all is said and done, the fad diets, the workouts. If I could choose one thing to impart to your viewers about overall health, not just sexual health, the smaller your waist, the longer your life. So make sure that as you grow older, as you go through your life, that you do things to keep your waist small because you'll live longer.
Absolutely. You're absolutely right on that. So for a man, if his waist is over 40 inches, his lifespan is shortened by five to seven years. So it's gonna be, instead of 79, it'll be 74, 70, 73 at that time. So it's with the waist size correlate with the fat or the love handle that is in the, the lower abdomen and those fat, if you look on the inside of the, in your abdominal space, they're, they're called brown fat, which is really bad fat, which in itself is actually an organ. It's, it secretes its own hormone. That's actually it, it's secretes estrogen which takes away, which is converted from testosterone. So a man, innate testosterone gets converted to estrogen, so he becomes more woman and less man. And, and that estrogen is stored as the fat in his belly. So it like, like you say, you know, if your waist is narrow down and at least below 40, which is, you know, pretty reasonable, then you, you live longer because you have less fat in that area. And if you live, you know, so general health correlate with also good sexual health. And they all interplay, right? They all blood flow, they're all, you know, well, general wellness and sexual wellness all relate together. Like do you agree that if you take care of your body that, you know, the sexuality parallels that as well and, or even more.
Yes, as a matter of fact, in men specifically when you work out with weights. So strength, strength training with weights and combining it with pull ups or push ups, which is body weight, it actually helps release natural testosterone and growth hormone that increases your sex drive and keeps you what we call physically relevant. Now the definition of someone that's physically relevant is a man that carries enough muscle so that if he is in a public place and there's an emergency, let's say I'm sitting in a restaurant having dinner with my wife in a crowded restaurant and suddenly a crazed guy with a knife runs in to stab someone. The whole restaurant will stop and they'll look around for the most physically relevant guy who is expected to save the day. Wherever I go, I am normally the most physically relevant guy. Unless I'm at the Mr. Olympia or the Mr. America or the Arnold Classic where there are big bodybuilders everywhere, then we're all physically relevant. But in the normal world where I live and when I travel on airplanes, if there's an emergency, I'm the guy that they're going to look to to help them. And I accept that responsibility. But one of the reasons I confidently accept that responsibility is I have three black belts and I can bench press more than anyone you know. So it really helps to be in shape to be that guy. And that adds to my self confidence, which adds to, of my sexuality. Everything is intertwined.
Absolutely. Now just go back. How much can you bench? You said you can bench more than anyone in the world. How much can you bench?
Well, let's just say this. One of my favorite things to do is to go to New York City to ride in yellow cab, to go to the Empire State Building, lay underneath it, and lift the old Empire State Building a few times. And that's before I jump onto the roof and balance like King Kong. So I love it. No, the last time I was in Chicago, they actually closed off the John Hancock Building and Taebo creator Billy Blanks and I went to the top and we did 1,000 push ups to raise money for a children's hospital. So I am a guy that likes to do physical feats of challenging fun for charity. And, and I also have been a combative martial artist for 43 years. So when we work with UFC fighters, when we work with Bellator fighters and they see a muscly guy and they think, oh, I'm going to have a good time with him, they don't realize there's a lot of skill housed within these muscles. And I'm ready for a good challenge. What about you? Yeah, it's a lot of fun. We have a great time.

Oh, my goodness. And thank you for giving us that promotion there. So one last thing is, what I see is that oftentimes, you know, a man, you know, that's not performing well in the bedroom, and it affects not only his performance anxiety in the bedroom, but also his general overall self confident. And as I see, as I'm working with my patient and I restore their performance, you know, and fix their ED with increasing blood flow by using stem cells and hormones and shockwaves and peptides. But I still see that he's still, you know, not confident and believing, hey, it's, it's working down there now. You know, why is it not, you know, why aren't you feeling confident? Why aren't you feeling like, you know, you feel like you're back on top of the world? How can a man get that confidence back up again?
You know, I think the answer to that question, Ann, and it's an excellent question, has to do with the connection between the mind and the heart and the sexual organs. And that. And the answer to that question is, are you living an authentic life? Are you living the life that you want? Are you being true to yourself? Many times people go through life using their mind and not their heart to make decisions.
They.
They are, they are practical. They are denying their artistry. I mean, we have a. We have a guy right now named Marcus. He's a great example. There's a guy that lives in Dortmund, Germany, of all places. It's about a half an hour from Cologne, Germany. And he was told by his parents when he was younger that he could not be an artist. Even though he loved comic books and he loved movies. He was told he had to go to business school. So Marcus went to business school, opened up a business, which was a huge distribution center with giant warehouses, kind of like Amazon, that are all automated. So if. If I'm selling baseball hats over in Europe and somebody orders one online, inside of Marcus's huge warehouse, a computer, a robot hand comes down and picks up the. The hat and it delivers it through the mail. So he became a very successful business guy, but he never followed his passion. He never lived his true life. And now, at age 38, he actually is allowing that business to be set up so it runs itself. He's coming to Hollywood, and he's starring in a giant Hollywood movie next year. He already got cast, and he's going to pursue a life as an action star in a big movie. He actually created a comic book over in Germany that they turned into the script for this action movie. So he made the comic book as an adult and he worked with screenwriters that turned the comic book that he had made in Germany into a full length screenplay. And he's now an actor in his own comic book screenplay. And it's those types of, of experiences where you're following your passion, you're living your dreams, you deserve it. So stop using this and start living with this in charge. And suddenly the mind and the penis will follow the heart.
Oh, I like that. The mind and the penis will follow the heart. So lead with, with, with the heart first. Do what you feel fulfilled in your passion.
Be your authentic self and you'll see that everything will fall into place.
And I actually see that with you. And you're a prime example of that. When I first met you, I see and feel the energy and the authenticity of who you are and what you stand for just within the first, really 30 seconds of meeting you. And I haven't met you before. You know, we met through Jay. Hi, Jay. Hi, Jay Menes. I hope he's going to be watching this. And in fact, I'm going to be interviewing Chris Shelton as well later on in the month. And I'm looking forward to talking to him about the chi.
Oh, good, Chris. I'm telling you, Chris is literally one of my best friends in the whole world. And what he does is so magical and so special and so wonderful. I can't tell. I can't talk enough about how great Chris Shelton is and his ability to heal others and inspire others using qigong. His curative Shelton Qigong is amazing. I can tell you a funny quick story. We were on tour in middle America. It was Journey and Def Leppard together on tour. And a couple of the guys in the band were having some physical aches and pains that were really preventing them from performing live the way they wanted to. We flew Chris Shelton out to Dothan, Alabama, like we were in the middle of nowhere. And Chris did his magical qigong treatment on them. They were better. They were better. Chris is like he, he is my secret weapon. I love that guy.
Wow. Wow. I'm going to have to make an L A trip and just see your studio and see Chris in action and everything else. So I'm excited. And we cover a lot of good point here and a lot of nuggets. I'm going to have to put that. I'm going to put all that in the show note, guys. And so that way you can have access to it and don't Forget to visit Eric at eric the trainer.com which is his website and his course again, Eric the trainerlive.com and use the code. Try it T R Y I t to get 40% off of the first month. If you want to be the lord of the jungle and looking like Tarzan again and look like him, you want chest like that. What's your size of your chest?
Extra large.
Well, thank you for being here and I really enjoy our time together.
Thank you so much. I had a great time. Ann and I can't wait to see you in person in Hollywood. But we're also opening a gym in Miami. So you can always meet me in Miami if you want to.
Yeah, when is that going to be?
It actually opens on Monday. It's in South Beach. And we're having our grand opening celebration red carpet with press. In about 45 days. You will receive an invitation, I hope to share the red carpet with you.
Let me know that, let me know the date and I will be there. Let me, please let me. You know the date yet? What's the date? You know the date opening?
I don't have the date in front of me, but it's in about 45 days and it's going to be so much fun. I mean, Miami is one of my favorite cities in America. During the pandemic, a lot of the coolest artists and the most amazing financial experts left New York City and they all moved to Miami. I was down there recently shooting four episodes of our new show between Two Biceps. And let me tell you, we had the greatest time. So come on down to Miami. Check out the new Eric the Trainer gym. It's going to be spectacular.
Wonderful, wonderful. And what's your show again? Before we end, what's the name of your show?
I have a show coming out very, very soon. It's called Between Two Biceps. And it's kind of like Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Conan o'. Brien. It's kind of that late night TV talk show celebrity show. But it's not late night. It's hosted by me. And the big difference is our celebrities go on an adventure on every episode. So like I was, I was interviewing Nickelback here in Los Angeles and I said to those guys, what adventure do you want to go on? And they said, we want to go to Miami and we want to learn how to rappel off of buildings with the Miami SWAT team. And we did. So you'll see we shot an initial 13 episodes. We shot in Hawaii, we shot in New York, we shot in Columbus, Ohio. We shot in Miami. We were all over the place.
Well, I'm looking forward to watching that and looking forward to your grand opening in south beach as well. So Eric, thank you for being here and thank you everyone and see you next time.
