A doctor explores current student loan repayment strategies, including switching to SAVE or IBR plans and navigating forbearance while staying on track for PSLF forgiveness.
What is the best program to get into besides Save for pslf? Since we are losing credits now that we are in forbearance? What options do I have right now? I think if you make a switch from Save to ibr, save to pay or whichever payment program, as long as it's not going to impact your payment much, why not? Why not go for it? They could be putting you into the IBR plan in January next year. So I've seen a lot of people that are eligible for new IBR. This is if you hadn't borrowed before July 1, 2014. I have a lot of people applying for IBR because payments in IBR are very comparable to what they would be in save. So I would think if you don't want to wait longer for them to place you back into repayment and you don't want to have to rely on that PSLF buyback program, apply for Ibrahim.
