Hey, guys, My name is Dr. Lara here at Herring Lake Sample Hospital. Today I'm here with Francis, and Francis is coming in for drinking a lot of water and having some urinary access to the house. Now you may recognize Frances. Frances had a really special story where she was rescued. Mom's been working with rescue now for about six years. It's 100 plus. And Frances eyes were so badly damaged that she had to have them surgically removed because of the severity of the neglect she had experienced. And so if you guys want to see or hear about her story, you can look her up on the Dodo on Facebook. She's got about 6 million views on there. She also has her own page. Mom, what's the name of the page? Frances Love is blind. Frances Love is blind. So if you search that, you'll find her story. Her mom does a ton of work with rescue. She's just telling me about a Foster that she's working with now. His name is Foster Fred and he's a little dachshund who had to have back surgery. So the video today is primarily about coming in for increased water consumption. So the real reasons that we look for water consumption increase, top reasons would be A, diabetes, B, you would look at probably some sort of kidney disease and you could also consider, God forbid, some sort of cancer and something called cushing. So those would be the most common things. Hypercalcemia, which is an elevated calcium, can sometimes cause increased water consumption and it would also lead to increased urination. The way that most of those things are going to be ruled out, you're going to be started with blood work and you're also going to want to have a urinalysis performed. Those are things that will really give us as the health providers a really good view on what's going on with the kidneys and everything else. From there, that'll give us some indications as to where we need to point, point, you know, our focus. And then we can go ahead and give us some more precise answers as to what the cause is and how we would go about treating it. If you guys have any questions about increased water consumption or anything else frances story or the 100 plus rescue, just leave it in the comment box. Otherwise, if you guys found this video helpful, please give us a thumbs up. Share with somebody that you think might need the help and or subscribe. Thanks for watching and have a great day.
