Chapters
The one question that resets everything. When you feel overwhelmed, when you feel that there's a sense of urgency, that you have so much that you need to do, but you don't know where to start, there's always one question I always ask myself. What is the one thing that I have to do that's going to move the needle? If I spend all my time on all this other stuff, is anything going to get better? Is any progress going to be made? Or am I just putting out fires? What's the one thing I can do that's going to move the needle? See, that's clarity. And then I forget about all those and I focus on that one thing that gives me progress. It gives me success. When I start having that clarity, the rest of this somehow miraculously takes care of itself because I'm focused now on the business, not being buried up in the business. Most CEOs face that challenge every day. They show up, and they got all this chaos and they don't know where to start and they lose clarity, they lose focus, they lose drive. Find the one thing in that day that will move the needle, focus on it, let the rest take care of itself or take a back seat.
