In this YouTube interview, host Toby Potter (the Unshakeable Investor) talks with Erin Snow, a leader at the faith‑based Kid Connection ministry. Toby recounts giving Erin copies of his books The Unshakeable Self and The Empire Forge and asks her to share how they resonated. Erin explains that the books’ step‑by‑step daily disciplines and mental‑framework helped her empower a weekly women’s Bible study group and sparked a personal shift: she no longer feels she needs external permission to pursue her goals. Toby then outlines the premise of The Empire Forge: a narrative about a working‑class executive woman confronting a male‑dominated corporate culture, emphasizing the “Rise of the Undeniable Woman” – a moment when a woman stops seeking permission and trusts her inner voice. Both discuss the importance of reconditioning the mind, believing in one’s entitlement to an amazing life, and translating those principles into daily practice. Erin describes how she is applying these ideas in her Kid Connection ministry, using the mindset and disciplines to cultivate confidence, spiritual fitness, and leadership in children, aiming to raise future Christ‑centered leaders. The conversation ends with a promotional call‑to‑action directing listeners to theunshakeableinvestor.com for more information on the books and courses.

Hey everybody, Toby Potter here, the Unshakeable Investor. Hey, today we have the amazing opportunity to visit with Erin Snow, right?
That's right.
Yeah, uh, so met Erin over here at the Kid Connection, was walking around with the Unshakeable Self book, and she had indicated that she thought her church had purchased this book and had given it out. So I had given her a copy of it. She took it home to her husband, and I had also given you The Empire Forge.
Correct.
Right. So I said, take these two home, read them, and then tell me what you think. And you came right back within a few days and said, oh my gosh, can I get this book, Empire Forge, for my Sunday school group?
Right, right.
So you want to— why don't you tell the story so I'm not ad-libbing? Sure.
Uh, it was the— I was probably the first day or two I started reading it and I was immediately hooked, you know, um, based on your experience and, um, how that was so similar to some things I've been through on a personal level. And every morning I have, uh, 10 women and we do a Bible study together, and I thought this is an ideal book for them to share because it's step by step, um, all the things that we have talked about, but this puts it in print. Yes. Uh, and especially like the disciplines and the layers of the mental framework and, um, the ideas behind that and how to do it. And it's, it's simple.
It's very simple if you make the application.
Exactly.
Yes.
And I love the first you know, from everything from like the first hour, you know, and, and how to put those daily disciplines and implement in them in my life to have to stay spiritually fit, because it is a discipline and it's the mind, body, spirit, and you talk, you cover all that in this book. So it was just really, really neat to see it in print.
Well, let's talk about— so it's called The Empire Forge: She Built What They Said She Couldn't. Built from nothing, unmatched by any man. So it's a book about the working-class executive lady in corporate America who's having to fight, struggle with daily struggles like the rest of us, but also have to fight through this, uh, male-dominant corporate environment. It's not easy. And so when I wrote this book, I, I did some research and I did a lot of interviews and said, what are the biggest challenges? What are the biggest things you face as an executive woman trying to show everybody you've got worth? And so this is what this came from. And so one of the things I wanted to read was the prelude, and it says, The Rise of the Undeniable Woman. There comes a moment in every woman's life where she stops asking for permission. And I think that is the main thing, is that we, we stop— men don't ask for permission. We're alpha males. We run, we gun, we don't ask for permission. But I think that the females of the corporate America and of the world have been so conditioned that we have to get permission to be able to evolve. And so there comes a moment in every woman's life where she stops asking for permission, not out of anger, not out of ego, but because the voice inside her grew louder. Than the noise around her. And this is where this book starts, and it really does help individuals really understand the power that you have inside yourself, the, the potential that you have to grow, build, evolve into something great without permission. Just run and go. So let me ask you, as you've gone through the book, what has it done for you?
Well, it just spoke to everything that I— that a truth that I've always known, and I just never felt either from old beliefs safe enough or like I had permission to step into that. And so what this did for me, it just ignited something within me, like a deep truth in my soul that I have permission. I don't need anyone's permission.
You give it to yourself.
You give it to— exactly.
You give it to yourself.
You absolutely give it to yourself. But these disciplines that you have outlined here really helped me put that into place, you know, like, and that's where that permission comes from, that you have to implement a few things.
Well, you have to, you have to change your mindset. You have to recondition the mind. And one of the things that I am profound about is the power of the mind. If you can believe it, you will achieve it. But if we haven't conditioned our mind to think that way, Oh my God, that's not for me. I'm not allowed to do that. Can I have permission? Most of the time we don't ask ourselves, is it okay with you?
That's right.
So this is where the book comes in and it basically states, yes, you are entitled to an amazing life. You are entitled to have everything you desire out of life. All you have to do is start believing it, then put it into a daily practice. So that you will then achieve it.
That's right.
And that's what this book is all about. So where are you going next now that you're an empowered woman? Where are you going? We running for president? We running for Congress? What are we doing? You don't have to wait on men anymore, just run and gun.
Well, right now, currently, I am over here at the Kid Connection, and I'm implementing like a ministry and helping grow Christlike leaders. Um, I just feel like that's just such a calling, um, to help grow these kids in a safe environment where they feel heard and seen and loved. And as Courtney, you know, she will speak to this. You all are familiar with Courtney. When a kid feels loved and safe, the learning will come.
It opens up their mind.
It does.
It opens up their spirit. It opens up their Their ability to receive. They're not so secluded. They're not so drawn back. Now they're wide open to say, hey, how can you lead me? That's amazing.
Exactly. And they develop a sense of confidence and they can go out into the world. And it all starts, you know, in environments like this, because these, these children will be our leaders someday.
Yep.
And so it's important for me, a calling for me on my heart, um, to help develop that and minister to these kids, not just through academics, but, um, you know, we're a faith-based school over there. So it's really important, and it's just something that, um, God put on my heart, and I am, uh, so grateful.
Well, one of the things that we're trying to do, and this is why this is so valuable with somebody like you, is you had this mindset growing up. You were restricted. You were— I won't say brainwashed, but you were taught a certain way. But if now you understand the value and the power you have as an adult, and you can now pass it to a child who can then start believing it early in life, then they rise so much faster, so much higher, so much more impactful.
Right, right. And it's things like that from your book and the mindset, you know, you can carry that, that will carry out into these children, and hopefully, you know, that they can carry that into their everyday, you know, into their homes. Like, as they grow up, that, that foundation will be there, and we've all been a part of that, and it just trickles out. And, uh, I'm just so grateful for the opportunity.
Erin, thank you so much for grabbing me in the hall grabbing the book and then taking it to the level you have. So I want to thank everybody for being on here.
