There's this very unique opportunity that exists in January and it only happens once a year. And the unique opportunity is this, that if you've planned right, finish the year strong and then the whole team has recharged the battery, you get this Net Net effect that happens in January where you haven't lost any momentum, your marketing has been humming along, which we're going to talk about marketing in a second. And then you come back in January, everyone is recharged and replenished, your practice is in a really good space, you plan and prepare, and then you get this Net Net effect happen where you absolutely smash January out of the park.
Hello and welcome to Build you'd Remarkable Practice Podcast. This podcast is dedicated to chiropractors who are in the seasons of launching and building their practice. Join myself, Dr. Lona and my co host, Dr. Bobby as we have conversations each week as it relates to building the practice of your dreams. And remember, you can have a remarkable practice as part of a remarkable life, not instead of one. We are here to lead you on the way.
What's up, team? Welcome back to the Build you'd Remarkable Practice Podcast with the amazing Dr. Lona Cook and myself, Dr. Bobby Lajasi. Dr. Luna. What's going on? How's the week been traveling?
Hey, Bobby, it's winter here now, so we've officially switched seasons. Hard frosts. How about you? You're probably like ready to go to the beach or something.
Well, we've done the swamp. I'm sorry, I don't want to rub it in, but we have done the swap now, so. Yes, it's summertime here. The weather has been beautiful, I must say. Maybe the birds background. Life is good, man. I can't complain. It's an amazing summer and you just.
Came off an immersion, so that was great, too. I'm sure we did.
We had our Australian attraction immersion, which is awesome down in Adelaide. But you know what? You know, I guess the more mature that I get in my ears, the more that I realize every season is a great season. It's just a different kind of great. Yeah, yeah. Winter has some beautiful things about it. Spring or fall has some beautiful things about it. Summer obviously has some beautiful things about it. Right. Every season has beauty about it.
It's a good way to look at it. Makes it easier to just like, be in the moment then.
Yep, exactly. Just submit and enjoy it. Although I am definitely a harder summer person. I love it.
It'd be a metaphor also for your practice. The seasons that are challenging are usually just Gearing you up for, like, the next season of summer that's coming, you know?
Yep. This is absolutely true. We do have seasons in practice as well. And whether you're listening to us right now, and you're in the launch season, which means you're just kicking things off first year or two, maybe you're in the build season, which means you're head down and you're bum up and you're grinding and you're growing and you're grading yourself to capacity and you're implementing systems. Maybe you're in the scale season, which is, hey, I've got associates, I'm onboarding more, I'm expanding my team, I'm growing this business. Or maybe even you're listening to us and you're in the exit season, you're thinking about exiting next few years. What we're going to be talking about today is something that I would say is profound inside of chiropractic. And I would even say it was profound for me in my office in the early days until I learned how to solve it. And the topic of today's podcast is how to not lose momentum through the Christmas holiday period. Okay. Because I see it. I see it all the time right now we're in mid November, and it's like people already start switching off. You know, vacations are booked. Oh, you're making schedules of care. Maybe you start to book people out four months in advance and you realize, oh, Christmas is in between, that maybe some of your practice members are like, you just put me up until the 24th, and then I'll see in January, I'll get back to you. And you don't book through January. Right. Maybe you start doing things like, maybe I should switch off my marketing, guys, should I switch off my marketing during Christmas time? Okay, maybe it's things like, we're taking two weeks off, everyone's off, no one's in the office, and then we'll restart again in January. Or it could be learner something as simple as, yeah, we're going to do our 2025 planning in January.
These are all the common little things that we see happen at this time of the year. But one thing that it all leads to is a very slow and poor starting 2025. And I know that I found myself multiple times in the early days getting to January, coming back after the break, energized, ready to rock and roll. The practice is way quieter, at least 30% quieter than how it was in, like, November or December. And then I feel like I spend the Next six weeks trying to like get the wheels moving again and trying to like get moving forward. And next thing I know it's not until middle of February before it's kind of picked up back to how it was before. Have you experienced the same thing? You see this happening as well with offices that you speak to?
Yes, I think lack of planning is a big deal in chiropractic. I also want to just draw this parallel here. You know, most of us have had this conversation repeatedly with our practice members of like, good habits, less stress during the holidays, trying to keep your people on track to be healthy through this season. That for many people is a stressful season. And what do they tend to do? Eat too much sugar? Not misadjustments, not move their body enough. Like stressful situations with family and their health kind of like goes backwards. Right. Like doing successful business and successful chiropractic operations is not so different than what you're trying to teach your practice members and your patients about consistency and energy being everything and how you show up through especially. We're not just talking about a week, we're talking about November and December into January is critical for how quarter one's going to go. So being more intentional than you ever have to recognize. Like, I'm co creating what I'm going to experience in quarter one by how I finish out 2024.
So get this. I actually had this meeting with my team on Monday because you said something there that really triggered me and that was, do you know which day this is actually published? I think it was American Heart association that published this. You know which day is the most common day for people to have heart attacks on?
Maybe Christmas or the day after Christmas.
You nailed it. 25th of December. It's the most common notable to have heart attacks on. This is public by the American Heart association of public guess when the second largest dates.
The 24th.
26Th. Boxing Day. Okay. And do you want to hazard a guess When's the third?
The 27th.
No.
You're in a good role there. No, it's on the, on the 1st of January news day.
Yeah, that makes me sad because obviously it's like a lot of emotional stress that also is like taxing that system. And that makes me sad.
Yeah, totally. I feel it. I feel. I don't know. I was teaching this in the workshop multiple years ago when we ran detox after the holiday workshop. And I remember looking through that research and interesting enough right now, more just talking. I just google it in front of me. And yet the person pops up on Google. It's, you know, published study published by American Hearts. So I was right. 25th is the first 26th of the 2nd and 1st of January, the 3rd.
Yeah, that's not. That's not random, you know.
So if you're listening to this podcast right now, I just want you to take a moment now on your drive in or your drive home or your walk, wherever you are, to just feel that, okay? Just feel the effects of that, guys, because we're in healthcare, true healthcare, not sick care, right? You're listening to this. You likely own a chiropractic office. You work in a chiropractic office, right? You work in a health facility. You should feel that, okay? So I look at that and I think to myself, okay, during this period of time, people actually need our care more than ever before. And so I used to find myself in the early days guilty of being of doing things like, oh, great, yeah, okay, no worries. We shut in the 24th and then we're not back until the 8th of January again. So we just book around those times. I know you can't make it anyway, and I would just like shut the office clean for that 10, 12, 14 day period of time. But when I learned this, I was like, no, like my communication practice completely changed. If people start saying, oh, it's a busy time of the year, that's when you need to get adjusted more than ever before. Like knowing that, you know, when people start saying, oh, and I've had practicing this week saying it to me for reference. This week is Right now is the 14th of November for me. Okay? I know people from November saying to me things like, oh, okay, you know, next week it gets a bit busy now, right? And you know, insinuating maybe that they had a break until January. And I'm like, you know what, when things get busy, is there more stress in your life or less? There's more stress in your life. Do you need to get adjusted more or less often? When there's more stress in your life, more often, maybe getting adjusted. Okay, cool. And they actually appreciate that accountability. Knowing this, that guys, that's something that you want to take with you. And you want to make sure when it comes to your team training and meeting next Monday that you speak that into your team. Because now is not the time to lose focus and take our finger off the poles. If anything, it's time to magnify focus and ensure that we are providing people with something that's actually going to help their health thrive through that period of time. And not suffer as we can see in stats.
So good. So good. And then to flip that back to you as the practice owner, like Will, you know, because heart attack, perfect storm of stress. Not just probably what they eat, but also mental emotional stress and their nervous systems trying to process all that. And lo and behold, here's our health outcome. So to flip that back to the chiropractic practice, we start to take too much time off. We're not focused in the office, we're coasting out the end of the year. Now we get into January, quarter one starts not so great. Now we kind of get dejected. Now our practice isn't growing. Now our team energy's off. Like, does that lead to more or less stress in your life than if you would have just cleanly kept your energy on track for finishing out your ear intentionally and projecting out like it leads to better outcomes across the board in your life? Right?
Yeah, yeah, that was me. I used to just take January and be like, it's going to be slow. I used to like already in September, the previous year, be like, yeah, January is going to be. So January is always a write off month. And then I realized, well, why is it a write off month? Is it because I'm putting that intention out there? And then as a result of that, my behaviors follow through and I don't do any marketing, I don't do any care planning properly. And the next thing in January, I'm planning for 2025. And then next thing I realized I've actually lost the opportunity of January, which is a whole month. Like I lost one month out of the 12 in 2025 to grow because I'm planning in January when really I should have planned in November and December and then be ready to execute the plan come January 1st.
Yes. Yep. You know, I, I like in a good way stumbled into a habit that we started probably 10 years ago where we kind of, I think, you know, sometimes you just throw yourself a bone and you don't realize what you've stumbled into. And one of the things we started to do is end the year very intentionally and how we really packaged and sold our wellness care plans and just making it a second effort. If someone wasn't set up on like the best plan or they knew that like pricing was going to go up in the new year, we just were more intentional about our sales process in our wellness plans at the end of the year. And so it started this habit, we called them holiday sales or holiday plans, where we would end the year as our strongest month. So it actually was like we had 13 months on some levels in our year because December would always just blow the other months out. But it was such a great way to end the year. And I remember talking to my accountant who'd be like, how do you do this? Because every other practices won't like whining about the end of the year and the holidays and you guys continually knock it out of the park. Which I'm blessed by that we kind of stumbled into doing it that way. I don't even know why I started doing that. But it has always set up then us to come in on a high note to kick off our year because the whole team feels good. There's bonuses, there's all the things going on because we just end so strongly.
Can we double click on that? Because I know a lot of people are going to want to know more about that. So what do you mean? Are you saying that in January you do your fee increases every single year? Which hint, hint is a topic for another time? Because you should be doing fee increases. I love that. As a best practice from Lonno. And so in December, you're like, people are paying in advance. Like, st. Tell us more about that loan. I'm sure people are super interested. Yeah.
So when we first started it, we weren't setting up auto payments so people would buy packages of care, right? So like 24 visits, 36 visits, you know, family plans, whatever. And so when we first started it, we just said, like, this is going to be the best pricing for the next 12 months. And families would just start to stock up on more visits. Right. And so it was a great time also that if they were like, oh, well, I think my husband might be coming in and he hasn't come in yet. I'm just going to buy him some of these visits, even for Christmas, you know, like, we just allowed them to just start to purchase more. When I started being coached by TRP, Dr. Pete said to me, well, why don't you set them up on auto. On auto plans instead of just packages of adjustment? It was like, well, that's a great idea. So then we, you know, just assured people, like, you're gonna lock in whether you buy a package or you lock in the auto payment of your twice a month adjustments or your once a week or whatever, like, this is the best pricing that we will have for the next 12 months because come January 1, all the wellness plans will move up. And so people just, they literally wait sometimes to like, oh, I'm just gonna lock in my Pricing in December. That's even if the pricing is just as good in November. They're locking it in in December because we've primed them at. That's the time to lock in.
Do they lock it in for, like, the remainder of the care plan that they aren't? Is that what they like? So let's say someone's on once a week for 12 months, and they're three months in, and that's going to finish in September 2025. What you're saying is they can prepay at that price up until September of 2025. Correct, right.
For the next 12 months. Yep.
Gotcha. Gotcha. All right. Well, there you have it, guys. So look at that. I love that line that you used. And the line that you used was. And you're probably going to say better than me because you've done it a million times. But I believe it was something along the lines of, this is the lowest price you're going to get for 2025. Correct. Yeah.
This is the best pricing. Prices will go up in 2025.
This is the best pricing. 2025 pricing can go up. There you go, guys. So if you just inserted that strategy into your December, again, let people know this is the best price you're going to get for 2025. And guess what? They're already mapped in 2025. So they have intention to be following through and getting adjusted. And you're essentially telling them, this is the best price in 2025. So they can lock that in by going ahead and paying that now. And guess what? That also leads to better retention, because you know that we're going to be following through their care plans. Win, win, win.
And we always kind of kick it off right after Thanksgiving as. As, like, our sale. And we also have a patient appreciation day, usually right around that time. And so it's just like, getting us moving into, like, people know Patient Appreciation day is going to happen, and then we sell wellness pricing for the coming, you know, however many months that they're going to set it up for, which is usually a year of care, and then. And then we can just move on to the next year.
Really nice. I love it. Yeah.

In a few minutes we're going to come down. I want to share the five top tips to implement in your practice so you don't have the Christmas hangover. Instead you have the January record breaker. All right, that's what this is about. Five top tips, guys. To not have the Christmas hangover, but instead have the January record breaker. We're going to come back to that in a second. But why don't you speak into this a little bit? Because a common thing we know, we take holidays, we take vacations. Okay, Christmas, isn't that a good time for me to recharge, for my family to recharge, my team to recharge? How do you, what are your thoughts on that and how do you balance the need between recharging the battery so you actually come back energized and replenished in January but also at the same time be able to keep the wheels moving so we don't, you know, let everything fall or let the wheels fall off and lose all that momentum.
Yep. Yeah. So I think it, it is a really important time to recharge and be intentional about what days you're going to take off. So Bobby and I were chatting about this before we hit record of just being sensitive also to like what's transpired in the 11 months coming up to like the, the holiday season and the, the especially Christmas and New Year's break. And you know, I Was saying like this year I feel like we've ran lean at times and so my team has really pushed it. So this is a year where we're actually going to take some intentional extra days around Christmas where normally we maybe would take two, but this year we're going to take like five or six and still want to split. Where we have a couple days maybe right around Christmas where people can get adjusted some days off and then again where people aren't having to go forever without an adjustment. Because I don't want that for my, my patients or my practice members. But I also want to give my team the ability to go visit family, get recharged so we can all come back and like ticket come January 2, which will be our first day open in the new year.
So. So guys, I want you to take note of what Lo said there. So the big thing there that I heard is plan in advance, which means you should be looking now. And like I said right now for me it's the 14th of November. For you probably it's going to be a couple of weeks after this. But look in advance and go, okay, well what day is Christmas Eve? What day is Christmas? What day is Boxing Day? How does that line up with the Sunday anyway? What day is, you know, the 1st of January? They are all public holidays. Right? So you at the very least absolutely can take 24, 25th, 26th first. Then there's two Sundays in there. That's a week that's like seven days off. Okay. So the key with this is planning in advance. Now what I do on top of what Lo as well is I also take note of my team and I understand that, you know what, not every team member needs to have two weeks off. So my office manager, for example, she is off this Friday. She should be off about 15th. I remember she's got a, I think it's a 12 day holiday. She's traveling to, to South Korea. So she's going to come back start of December, recharge battery. So she doesn't need another 10 days or two weeks off. Right. Literally those public holidays on top of the vacation she's having now, she's going to come back in January, fully charged up. Then some of my chiropractors, they haven't had a vacation holiday since June mid year. So they are going to be like, all right, they'd love to have 10 days off and they're going to try to get a 24th, you know, through to the 3rd or 4th of January. I'm the same. My Christmas actually is on the 7th of January, so we have that off. We have family time here in Australia. It is the summer period. So every year from the 24th until the 7th, I'm going to the beach, I'm hitting up the waves, I'm going with my family. I'm enjoying the summertime, right? But I do that now. I wasn't like that in the beginning. I do that now because we have a team in our private practice of six chiros. So there's other chiropractors that are like, bob, hit me up. I want to work as much as possible. I'm fine with just public holidays. Like we just said, there's six, seven days there. I'll do extra shifts. Outside of that, I'm full of energy and hit me up. I'll take over and do extra shifts and I'll adjust all the people, all the load through that period of time.
But which is actually a great way to have people grow, right? It's where they have to feel what that feels like to see more than they maybe even normally do. And that grows their capacity. Right?
So 100%. Yeah, 100%. You nailed it. And then they have this yearning to want to see that consistently. They're like, wow, you know, I just saw three times the end of what I usually see. And guess what? I'm alive.
I did it. And that was so cool. I want to do it now regularly. You know, it becomes like the new level of normal for them. So take, take a look at your team and just understand that time off is important. And remember, we did a podcast in this guys, that rest and recuperation is a valid human activity. So this time of the year is a great time to make sure that you do get the rest of the family time and enjoying time off and, you know, gratitude and appreciation. But the key to doing that and having the practice grow, because it doesn't have to be at all conversation. It's not like, do I take time off or do I focus on growing the practice? You can have an end conversation when you have time off and you focus on growing the practice. But it all comes down to planning and you got to plan it now. That's the key.
Yeah. Yes.
So good, because what happens is I find that there's this very unique opportunity that exists in January and it only happens once a year. And the unique opportunity is this, that if you've planned right, finish the year strong, and then the whole team has recharged the battery, you get this net net effect that happens in January, where You haven't lost any momentum. Your marketing has been humming along, which we're going to talk about marketing in a second. And then you come back in January, everyone is recharged and replenished. Your practice is in a really good space. You plan and prepare, and then you get this net effect happen where you absolutely smash January out of the park. Finish January totally right. You finish January, you're like, that wasn't a January lag effect at all. That was like amazing January. And then you move into February, breaking records already, right? And you're like, this is going to be a great year.
And maybe not down under, but at least in the United States, coming off the holidays, the sugar, the people are in winter. People are ready for something that's going to give them a boost. So it is a great time, I think, to be out in your community pounding the pavement, getting those new people to come into the office that are like, okay, I need to take better care of myself in 2025.
Yes, 100%. So with that team, let's unpack five top tips for not losing mental Christmas period and setting yourself up for a record 2025 and a record January. Lona already unpacked one. And that was. I love the way that she does that in her practice about locking in pricing. 2025, now that is genius. And it already gets people focusing in the next year and their intention, their planning as it pertains to their health for next year. Here are the next ones. So I'm going to unpack these, Lana, or I'm going to mention them on by one, that we can just unpack them. Number two tip is mapping out all schedules in advance. So what that means is people that are converting into care right now, you know that that process is going to be going through the Christmas period. So get ahead with asking people, hey, loner, are you going away for Christmas? What would your answer to be? That, Loner. So you just came up to, hey, loner, you going away for Christmas? You're going to be away anyway.
No, I'm going to be here.
Fantastic. We're going to be here as well. Dr. Branko, Dr. Nath, Dr. Ned, are going to be that period of time. So no problems. The tent can organize all through that and through the public holiday this year. If loner said, see, awesome. If loner said, I am away, guess what my next question is. When are you away, loner? Yeah. Or when are you back? Exactly what dates are you away? Because we want to get on top of that on time. Fantastic. You're away from the 27th and you come back on the 4th of January. Excellent. I'm going to let my team know at the front and they're going to map around that period. There's. And what we do in our office is we have a series of exercises. We call them holding exercises. So if someone goes away on a vacation like that in their care plan, we give them holding exercises and they hold that because they will help you hold your adjustments better. You're not going to progress forward because you're not getting adjusted. All right, but they're going to slow your regression. They're going to help you hold your adjustments better so that when you do come back, it's going to be much easier to pick up where you left off from.
I love that word regression. Such a good word to use. People don't want to regress.
Correct. And they should know that they're either progressing or regressing. There's no plateauing and they're progressing if they're following the three legged stool of getting adjustments in rhythm, breaking the bad habits and adding the corrective exercises, you know, so if someone's away on holiday or vacation, depending where they're going and how long they're going for, sometimes I do also find a chiropractor in the area. But if not, or if that's not possible, holding exercises, fantastic. It's going to help you hold so you slow your regression, but you won't keep progressing. At least when you come back, we're not, you know, paddling backwards, essentially. Love that. Good. Yeah. So tip number one. Anything you want to add to that? Mapping appointments and events?
No. I love your language. Everybody should have their, like check out CA or your office manager. Listen to that blurb right there. And then train everyone.
Yeah. And why is this so important? Remember the stat the learner and I shared start of this podcast? We need those adjustments to the Christmas period, guys. It's the period of the highest levels of stress throughout the year. Right. Map in advance. Because just like your practice, you want it to be, you know, in a really great healthy state in January. You also want your body or their bodies, okay, to be in a really good healthy state in January too. That's tip two. Tip number three. Well, what's your thoughts on marketing, people? Go. Shall I start switching up my marketing now? I'll dial it back. I'll turn off my marketing, restart it in January. What would you say to that person?
That's a silly idea. Do not do that.
I'm glad you said It. Not me.
Yeah, no, we are consistently marketing. We don't stop.
Mm. Yeah. You market through Christmas.
Yeah, we. We keep everything working. That's working the other quarters, actually. Again, probably no surprise when I look at our marketing calendar. What's the most robust time for us? Quarter four. Consistently, year over year. We are. We are more repeatable in our marketing calendar and in the events we host in the way that we do internal things in quarter four. And we just had this at our team meeting where I was like, I want every quarter to feel like quarter four and just how well prepared we are for the events, the giving, the. Some of the things are things we're doing in our community, giving back. But it's just good energy. It's good mojo. Like, that's part of our calendar. Right. Quarter four is stacked. And we always have great quarter fours. There's not a coincidence there. So, yes, double down on your marketing for the whole year, but certainly not, don't give up in quarter four.
Yes, 100%. So tip number three, guys, is do not turn off your marketing. I increase my marketing. And the reason I learned this in the early days as well, in that most car offices would shut and I get all these people that are calling, they're like, oh, everyone else is shut. So I was like, okay, there's actually less noise. And, you know, I even. I can't remember where I learned this, but I learned somewhere that the cheapest. The cheapest cost per lead is actually in January, February, March, the first quarter of the year. So what you ultimately want to do is keep your marketing going. Guys, we keep our marketing going. This is your chance now. If you've been, like, lower new patients this year, this is your chance now to, like, build up leads. Now, of course, you want to try and process those leads in a timely manner. There's different ways to do that depending on the size of your office. But this is your chance, like, to come back in January for there to be, like, 65 leads. And you're like, we got work to do. Obviously you want to try and call some of them during that period of time. We have. We had a sales team that's offshore. They keep calling during that whole January, sorry, December period and just booking in the new ones. But do not switch off your marketing, guys. If anything, I would say keep it on and dial it up, because you're going to come back to a January without huge, huge requests of people that wanted to come see you inside of the office.
Awesome.
Yeah, yeah. Tip number four for not losing momentum through the Christmas period is we run in January a big annual workshop, right? So it's a goal, goal setting Health Workshop 2025. We used to do like detox after the Christmas holidays and it kind of morphed into a goal health goal setting 2025. When you get this right, guys, you can almost pre sell a year's worth of care by getting focused on one of the health goals for 2025. I love that.
That's great.
That's how powerful it is. Okay, so we start that campaign on it. We usually run the workshop around week three in January, but what we do is we start the marketing from the workshop from week one in January, right? So literally like three third of January, we start the marketing for that workshop. So if we're going to start the marketing for the workshop in January 3, when do you reckon we start the preparation for the marketing of that workshop?
December 1st.
You've got it exactly right now. December 1st, right. We start putting together the email sequences, the SMS automation, okay. We start putting together the landing pages, which is how we do it through. We start putting together the workshop. All of this starts to happen now. So if you're going to do something like that, I would strongly, strongly encourage it. It's a brilliant way to start the year because remember, your team is refreshed and energized. These things called New Year's resolutions. People are also making New Year's resolutions as it pertains to their health. And so it's a great time to capitalize on that and really ask people's vision when it comes to their health. Further, in 2025, you can almost pre sell a year's worth of care, right? Just by getting the book to look at in advance.
That's great. That's. That is. I'm doing that. So you've started a class like that.
And you know, if you're a TRP member, you've got everything. Guys go on to module number 86 and body singles. You've got the workshop there, you got the slides, you got the email sequences, the SMS sequences. All of it is there. You got the assets there. Take it, make it your own, edit it now if you want, send it out to someone to upwork to make it your style and your colors and your branding and everything. But you want to prepare all the material now so that literally January 3rd, you can just push the button on and email stuff going out, SMS start going out, registration start happening, right? And get that workshop happening. Like I said, we usually do it in week three. Of January and it's always every single year, one of our biggest, if not our biggest workshops. So, yeah, we cap it at like 80 people and it always, always packs out 80 people. It's like workshops in the front end of the year are so. So.
And I'm assuming when you say workshop, you are having them tactically work on their. Like they're leaving with something.
Yes, correct. Yeah, they're setting their intentions, setting their goals. It's essentially. Yeah, any workshop that I do, the, the actual meat of the workshop stays pretty similar. It's the intro. Right. That changes. And then the close is also pretty simple as well. So the way that you set the frame is going to change. If it's a workshop in January, it's goal setting. So I'm going to set the frame and I'm going to share the stats that I just shared in this podcast about hard tax, because same thing, you get the whole room's features. When I think about that, I start talking about why is that the case? It's because of stress. It's because of the stress period accumulating and then a certain time stress that's maximum. Well, guess what did that problem that that person have on January 1 started December 31, didn't it started months, years before. So now is January is a great time to have a clean slate. Now is a great time because everyone's fresh as well at the holidays. Now is a great time for us to set our health intentions, which are the most important things for the year. So we're going to be unpacking tonight principles around the body, how it's designed, when it takes you inside to show you how, how the body works, how the nervous system is regulating stress, how it links and joins the whole entire body together. Then we're going to take you through what are the three biggest pillars that you can influence when it comes to your body and your health. Right. And then we start unpacking the chiropractic story into all of it. Right. But answer to your question, yes, we're going to filling out worksheets because if they're engaging, they're going to also they're going to consume more information, they're going to retain more information. And part of that is, yeah, we get to set their immediate medium and short term goals. 20, 25. Love it. Put that on their file. Then when you're adjusting them and that becomes your tabletop conversation piece for the whole year.
That's great. Yeah, it's like doing 80 revals in one room, basically.
Yeah. It is, right? 100%. And then you think about it. Let's say we're in March now and loan starts missing adjustments and we have to have that conversation around. Miss your last couple adjustments. And she said, I know, I know. It's been so busy with X, Y, Z and that goals that she told us in January on are sitting on her file. Okay. There's a law called the law of commitment and consistency that learn is going to feel out of integrity and she's not going to feel very icky. I was not going to feel very nice. She'll feel a bit icky if she's out of integrity. What she said to us before. So if we say, hey, set us medium term goals are xyz. And you also said to us at that workshop, my job is to keep you accountable. Right. This is me keeping you accountable. And keeping you accountable means it's headlock time.
Yes, yes.
And I'll keep doing that up until you tell me, Bob, that's not important to me anymore. I don't know. You can't be accountable for that anymore.
It's good.
All right. I love the way that you put that. It's like doing 80 reevaluations at once is exactly it. That's leverage. Yeah, golden. So tip number four, consider running a workshop in January, guys. Goal setting workshop. After the whole F 2025 and then the fifth and final tip, we're not losing momentum through the Christmas period. It's big one. Schedule your 2025 board meeting. So at the end of the year now we do our major annual board meeting. We do it in December, which sets out intention for 2025, sets out goals, our marketing calendar, major projects, visions that we hold. I used to wait to January to do this and again found out that I'd lose the opportunity of January. And now we've shuffled that all over to December six. So do you have designated time set aside where you're going to reflect on 2024? You're going to note down your wins, you're going to note down your learns, lessons learned, then you're going to cast your mind forward 2025. You're going to dream. Are you going to clarify your vision? And at the back of that then you're going to get clear with your goals. Attraction, conversion, retention. Right. Do you have designated time for that? Because that reflection process and that gratitude process is absolutely proven to help you grow your practice. Lada, what's been your experience with board meetings?
Yes, a hundred percent. And like we take a full day Generally. And it's part of it is the board meeting and then part of it's just like celebration because everybody has poured in for, you know, for previous year. And so it's part of us like rounding out that year is having good energy of milking, you know, the wins, the learns, where are we going next? But also just like coming together and having a moment together. So.
Yeah, exactly. Right. So schedule guys your board meeting so you can start playing 2025 and get everything set up. And I would say at a minimum, you want to have crystal clear clarity around Q1. So what's happening from a marketing front, what's happening from a training front, what's happening from, you know, major projects front, any new investments inside of the business, inside of the office? Q1 has that.
Hires. Yeah, exactly. Right. Nailed it. Cool. So there we have it. Any final comments on not losing mentors for the Christmas period?
No, I love that we did this right now. And then it should probably roll out early December, so you've got hopefully a three week period before each shutdown for Christmas where you can get your ducks in a row and celebrate with your team and learn from them as well because they probably have some great insights that you need to squeeze to set your trajectories for 2025.
Yep, exactly. You heard it there. All right, team, so May 2025. Remarkable. And remember, build a remarkable practice is part of a remarkable life. But all of that requires planning and intentionality. That's where it starts off. So now is the perfect time of the year to start doing that and not switching off. Because believe me, your future self will thank you.
All right, until next time, team. Have an amazing week. We'll catch you next time. Douglar, thank you so much for your amazing insights and we'll talk to you guys all really soon.
Thanks, Bobby. See you.
