Looking at your business, thinking about your life, asking yourself the question, where am I showing up? Where is my ego, my pride right now? Showing up, where is it leading me? Into the corner. I love how you said that if you feel cornered, you're pinned in the corner. Check the ego.
Hello, and welcome to the Remarkable CEO Podcast.
Podcast, a show dedicated to chiropractors who.
Want to transform their job into a.
Business so that they can have a.
Remarkable practice as part of a remarkable.
Life, not instead of one with your hosts, Dr. Pete Camiolo and Dr. Steven Fransen.
What's up, remarkables? Welcome to another episode of the remarkable CEO podcast, Chiropractic's number one business podcast. Thank you very much. I'm Dr. Steven Fransen.
And I'm Dr. Pete Camiolo.
And as always, we are stoked to be with you guys. So we show up stoked. That is our default. So this is our weekly wellness workshop, like we teach you guys. It's like you've got to do your workshop every week. You've got to land on a message that if you didn't share your message, your head would explode. That's what this is for us, right? So I teach our clients that they should run their practice from workshop to workshop, not from Monday to Monday, right? Running your business from Monday to Monday is a terrible idea. Run your business from workshop to workshop. Watch what happens when you crescendo your energy towards that. And, Dr. Pete, I know that that's true for you. This. This is. This is my workshop, right? So I. I like to say that we run our work week from studio time to studio time, right? To be able to share this message with our beloved chiropractic. What an honor. What a pleasure to work with such a pro like you, Dr. Pete, and share such an incredibly important message. I consider it the second most important message in town. What an honor. And I'm stoked to get after our conversation today. You know, we're going to have a challenging conversation for the owners out there. It's.
It's.
It's one that comes deep, deep from our own experience and our Right out of our own scar tissue around screwing this up ourselves. But it's the. The lesson that we want you to walk away with today is understanding that what's good for your ego is probably bad for your business.
I'm going to repeat it. What's good for your ego is probably bad for your business.
I want you to think about this right now because.
You know, when we. When people walk into the office, what do we say to them, hey, leave your, leave your stuff at, at the door. Like leave it at the door. When you show up, show up ready to serve, show up ready to, to work.
Right?
That's what we would. You know, it's kind of like a general rule and I think probably any business, you know. And it's way harder today, guys, by the way, because people take their life in with them. It's in a little bottle box that sits in their pocket. And it's like really hard to quote, unquote, leave your stuff at the door because the stuff just keeps buzzing in your pocket and it keeps tracking you down. But the reality is, Dr. Stephen, while we have that expectation of our team that they would remain focused to be able to serve, when it comes to you and I, us as a leader, this is our leaving it at the door. You got to check your ego and leave it at the door when you show up on Monday morning, when you show up to your team meeting, when you show up to your board meeting, when you show up to fill in the blank.
Moving forward, I'm going to challenge all of you to. Because this is a self study. Like you got to check yourself. No, nobody else. This is inner. This is deep in inner work. Like this is only, only you kind of know where you're at. I mean, probably people around, you know, people that are close can tell because you can see the symptoms, the evidence. We're going to get into it a little bit today, some practical ways where you might be able to identify if I'm, if I'm actually being led by my ego right now. Is this a egocentric, ego driven conversation or energy or mindset? And guys, so much of our, the, the life that we have, the, in your business, the challenges you may face are actually the consequences of the invisible becomes visible. And this is the invisible that will become visible. And so this is a deep conversation. Dr. Steven, I want to share something that as we were prepping for today, I, I wasn't going to share this, Dr. Steven, but I am. And it was actually something I've been just meditating on and actually came from some time with prayer in prayer. And this was last week actually I did a 21 day fast actually to start the year. And it was during the fast that I got this revelation. And the revelation was simple and the message is really simple. I'm just going to share a few things from my journal. It was. The message is the price of pride. The price of pride. A couple thoughts. Number one.
When you have pride, okay. Pride and ego. I'm seeing them as a bit connected right now. Okay, so 100 is number one. Is I. Is it robs you of your peace?
See, when you, if, if we said, man, I would love to have peace in my life, I would love to have peace in my business, I'd love to have peace in my marriage. I love that peace in my finance. I love that peace in my health. Like, right, like peace.
And I know how important peace is to the Fransons, you know, and I know how important it is to me. But what came to me was like, man, the price of pride. One of the prices of pride is you. It robs you of your peace. And so if you found yourself being lacking peace, maybe you've been struggling with some anxiety, some fear, some worry, some anger. I don't know what the emotions are that would counter your peace. The things that would rob you of your peace. Whatever the counterfeit, the replacement of peace is. Pride or ego might be the thing that's getting in the way. Number two is, and there's some deep things in here that I might not get into, but one of the things that I felt was it cuts off the fullness of my goodness. In other words, we talk about above, down, inside out, right? We tell our patients, you know, I'm not the healer, right? I move the bone. God does the healing. We say, you know, my job is to identify and correct the subluxation. Your body is designed to take that and heal itself. The body is created with an intelligent design. And what pride does is it subluxes you. It cuts you off from the fullness of the goodness. It cuts you off from the fullness of what's possible to receive in your business and in your life. And so in ego and this, guys, this doesn't just apply to our. Your practice, by the way, and I know you all know this, but it applies to every area of your life. If you've got ego in your finances, or ego in your, in your health, or ego in your, you know, that thing is going to come back around. It's going to get you. And I'm saying to you, we're saying today, like, hey, guys, let's just, as leaders, raise our hand and say, you know what, I need to check my ego somewhere. There's probably an area or two in my life, in my business, that's affecting me, affecting the business, affecting my life, where I probably got to check into that. Dr. Steven, I wasn't thinking I was going to go down this path. I figured I'd Just go here, because I know we're going to get practical, but I just want to share what's on my heart, you know, like, that's. This is. This is fresh revelation that I just received during the 21 days of fashion that I started 2025 with. And it was like one of the things I got. And I thought, man, that's awesome that we're talking about this, because I'm still. I'm just married. I'm just letting this thing. I'm. I'm gonna sit with this probably for the next six months and try to figure out what all this means. But I'm just saying, man, there's a price of pride. There's a price of ego. I don't know what it is, but it costs you. And so what we want to do today on this in our conversation is just say, hey, guys, let's identify where that might be the case and let's start making some adjustments, right? Let's start making some adjustments. Because on the other side, it's going to be.
There's just going to be so much life.
Well, a maxim of the remarkable practice is heart, head, hands, feet. So what you did was set the table for the heart of this, right? So to go from conceptual to practical, we can, you know, we can go into the head, right? So what does this look like? Okay, so how does this show up in my practice? And, you know, exactly how am I doing that, right? Walking that out. And then what can I do to change? And then let's. Let's get to work with it, right? So hard. Head, hands, feet. The heart of the matter here is that it is a heart issue, right? So.
Ego'S a heart issue and pride is a heart issue. And then frankly, it's our default, right? That's how we're hardwired. This is our brokenness as humanity, right? So you're just showing up with pride and ego. That's. That's just your default. If you're not thinking about it, if you're not aware about it, guess what? You're walking that out, right? So this is just a moment maybe to check yourself, you know, on your. Just your awareness, right? So, because I. I was wandering in the wilderness with this one for a long time. So the first 10 years of our business and our practice, I had no idea that what I was doing, you know, as far as the damage I was doing being ego driven and. And pride led, you know, and I got to a point in the business and the practice where I had a. Come to Jesus moment with just complete burnout, being smoked, being maxed out, and I had painted myself into a corner.
Quite literally, right? So, you know, as we had this big pump in practice and I had myself positioned, you know, France and family, chiropractic. Everybody wants to see France. Of course, that felt good. That was good for my ego, right?
So.
And, oh, he's the head doc, and you know, his. His wife, she's in and out of the practice having kids, so I guess he's the head guy.
Okay.
Yeah, that's great. That was good for my ego, right? So. Oh, you know, you. Oh, you Want to see Dr. Oh, that's good for my ego. It's like, oh, all the new ones want to see you, and all the existing patients and the veterans want to see you, and there's some patients who will only see you. Oh, man, did that feel good for my ego, right? So I had associate doctors to all. All lined up, you know, to learn from, you know, from the guy, from the man from Dr. France. I'm like, oh, that was good for my ego. And of course, everybody's like, oh, wow, all these doctors here to study for you. Good for my ego, right? So guess what happened, Dr. P. So as I. That broke me, right? So at the end of the day, I had painted myself right into this corner. That was not sustainable, it was not scalable by definition, was not durable, and ultimately was not transferable because of the dynamic that I had created. Although it was good for my ego, it was bad for my business, and it showed up in so many ways. This isn't a someday pain thing. This is a Monday pain thing, okay? So this is hurting you right now, right? So if you make it about the adjust tour, not the adjustment, I'm talking to you. If you make it about the chiropractor, not the chiropractic, I'm talking to you right now, right? So if there's a. If there's an 8020 rule in your practice where 80% of the patients will only see you, I'm talking to you right now, right?
So.
And you know, if you've made some of the mistakes or more in this, and there's a countless list, right? So I spent 10 years building this dynamic and spent the next 12 years undoing it, right? So I can just hopefully speak into you right now. Do not do that, right? So this restrictions the capacity issues associated with a broken. Excuse me. A solid white line practice versus a broken white line practice. This is how this stuff manifests, guys. Like the. This is the manifestation, this is how this shows up. Right? So. And this is not just going to kick your ass one day, which I promise you it will, it's kicking your ass Monday, right? This is absolutely a constrain of your business. This although feels good right now and is something that probably feeds that dog, right? So that pride, that ego, what's good for your ego is bad for your business.
What's up remarkables? Hey, let's face it, 95% of our problems are people problems. You can't find a players, can't keep a players. Don't know how to leverage your team, create expectations and agreements or hold people accountable in order to optimize your team. Doc, what would happen to your practice if you, if you were finally able to get the right people in the right seats, doing the right work, the right way? For most chiropractors it would change everything. You'd increase your capacity to see more people. You'd make a bigger impact and a bigger income. You'd be able to delegate and scale your business. Or maybe you need to get your associate relationship dialed in. That would mean you get your time freedom back. You could get a handle on your schedule, maybe even become a CEO. If this is what you want your 2025 to sound like, make sure that you join us for the remarkable team building immersion in Brisbane, Australia, February 28 and March 1, 2025. I can't wait to be back in Australia, Doc. Bring your team with you. Get everybody on the same page. They'll be back in your office on Monday with more clarity, more accountability and more purpose than ever. Energize and mobilize your team and see your practice grow. What are your goals for 2025? Is it a seven figure foundation, a seven figure revenue, seven figure profit, or maybe even a seven figure exit? Whatever season you're in, you'll need a seven figure team. And you know it's possible as you were sharing Doc Steven about you know, say the first 10 years and paint yourself into a corner. It's a slow, it's a, it's a slow burn for a lot of people. It's a long, long process to get to this point until you get to that break point right for you, maybe let's say around 10 years or something. And then you spent the next 12 years fixing the, fixing it, you know, cool thing. I want to share this as an encouragement to everybody who's listening and I'm seeing this now. Dr. Stephen More with the Doctors who we're bringing. Who are. We're serving in the remarkable practice, who are getting this, having this epiphany sooner, and they're actually able to avoid a lot of the pitfalls. And like you said, our scar tissue is where we always speak from. It's not coming from.
Trust me. We're coming in. We're crawling in.
We are limping into the.
Yeah, we're just.
I'm just.
I barely made it to the door. I'm just on my knee. I'm pulling the door to see if we'll get into it.
And.
And this was actually the fruit of it and the. The desire. I know of your heart. My heart is man. We said, hey, we gotta. We gotta serve chiropractors. We gotta serve the profession of chiropractic. We gotta. This is too much. There's too many things that we've learned that we. We can't just keep this to ourselves. Like, we need to pass. Share this with the. With everybody. We need to get the message out. Therefore, the remarkable practice, right, The Remarkable CEO program is like, now it's this podcast. It's like this all birthed from, like, whoa, whoa, whoa. That was a lot. That was painful. That was hard. That was.
Whoa.
And I did that to myself in many ways. Like, wow. Like, we could actually prevent this from happening if we could get ahead of it. Our CO program, the first course you go through is the cts. What does CTS stand for? CEO Transformation System. I'm not going to break it all down. Each word means something. But this idea of you going from an owner operator to a CEO identity. Identity is deep. Identity is a core, core issue.
Right?
It's at the core.
It's.
It's deep. It's below the surface. It is deep, deep, deep inside of you. And Doc Steven, you might say, well, I can justify all day long that friends and family, chiropractic and building this thing on my ego actually got me to the level of success I needed to get to. And you can argue that all day long. And it's possible that that was maybe what was your story. And it was redeemed. Clearly, it's been redeemed. And you're paying the. You're paying the price for it now by having to tell people over and over all about it. So there's a cost, but you've stewarded well the message because you have the lesson. And from the lesson came the playbook. From the playbook, it's distributed to the people, and the people, hopefully execute the playbook. And they get a better practice because of it. It came from that. But you wouldn't have been able to release it had you not broke, gotten that brokenness. Right, had you not had to humble yourself and come to a place where you had to come to the end of yourself. So the analogy that I use, Dr. Steven, I'll share this is the analogy of metamorphosis, which if you look at a butterfly, a butterfly starts as a caterpillar and there's nothing wrong with being a caterpillar.
Right?
Caterpillars are amazing. You know, God made caterpillars. My kids love seeing caterpillars collecting them in the summertime, things like that. Caterpillars have a purpose. It's just not their destiny. There's a season for you being that there might be a season where you know you were a caterpillar, but that's not ultimately what your destiny is. Your destiny is you. You, you were meant to fly, you were meant to soar, you were meant to transform into something new. And, and, and so as you lick, look at your own story, your own life, and you break it down into the different sections of your life and your business, look at it and through that lens and say, have I truly transformed looking at it through my lens of attraction or is there still a pride or is there ego? Is that still inside of that domain of my business? Is there any area where I need to adjust in 2025 in where I could actually make some adjustments? We can ascend going through the conversion process, looking at that specifically and saying, you know what? Is there any area of ego that's still where this business is anchored? It's tied down by this ego driven and process or procedure or belief or mindset. Go through retention process and ask yourself the question, is there any area inside of retention where it's still ego driven? Right. Are we still. Is that, is that the lid?
Right.
We talked about the new wine skin we're talking about. Is there. Because that is old wine skin that's not going to be able to handle the new wine that is not able to handle the increase. If you double this year, that won't be able. It will burst. It'll break. Cannot handle it. Dr. Stephen, right? You're gonna drag my dead body out of. Underneath the high level. Yeah.
Remember that.
No, we won't. No, we won't. You were, you were in the corner. You were pinned in the corner. You're like, and I'm not dying.
I'm, I'm not gonna die here.
I Can't. So I had to.
You had to.
Something had to change. Dr. Steven. So looking at your business, thinking about your life, asking yourself the question, where am I showing up? Where's my ego, my pride right now? Showing up, where is it leading me? Into the corner. I love how you said that if you feel cornered, you're pinned in the corner. Check the ego.
So I don't want to leave people here with. Oh, man.
Yeah.
Now, thanks so much, guys. Happy Tuesday to you too.
Right?
So now I'm driving home from work, listening and being like, why do I listen to these guys? Just pissing me off right now. It's like, we don't want to leave you there, guys.
We.
We want you to know that, you.
Know, this is something that is.
Let's call it, fixable, right? So we're CEOs and we're chiropractors, and we love to fix things, right? So we. We're also DCs. We're doctors of cause, and we're just trying to get to the cause, right? So you can never correct a problem if you don't recognize there is a problem, what the cause of the problem is, right? So let's talk about how to adjust this. So the case management around this is to start with a clear vision. You need a new vision, right? So once you have a new vision of what this next iteration is, what does new wine skins mean to you? Like, where are we going? What is my destiny? Right? So putting a story to that. So it's the next iteration of your business. Remember, core values. Core values don't change. Core values are a forearm tattoo. If you've done the work. Core values are a forearm tattoo. Visions evolve, right? So as just God opens new doors for you, he wants. He wants you making all your big mistakes in a small room, and then he give you a bigger room, right? So what's the. What's the next bigger room he's got for you? Like, get clear on that. What does that look like?
Right?
So if you have total clarity, clarity is the greatest accelerant. If you lack clarity, that's going to create friction, right? So get your vision clear for the next iteration. Then you got to look at yourself as a leader. Like, who do I need to become as a leader? What's that iteration going to call for? What muscles do I need to work on? Maybe it's this one. Maybe it's this one. Guys, maybe we're just putting our finger in that bullet wound right now and just being like, oh, yeah, you feel that? This is like, maybe we're poking on that T5 spinous process and be like, see, it's that one. It's not this one, right? It's that one. Oh, yeah, that's the spot, right? Maybe ego here is the inflammation for you, right? So maybe that is the point of nerve irritation and inflammation that's subluxating your growth, right? So maybe that's it. If that's it, you're welcome, right? So this conversation is for you. Let's just create that awareness around that and say, hey, I need to reconcile that, right? So I'm going to work on my ego this year. I need to get smaller relative to my team and the rest of my organization. Now, that doesn't mean you shrink. It means that you build everyone else up. Because it's relative to. You've got to make. You've got to elevate and edify your team. Your team's got to get bigger. And I don't mean by number. I mean you need to develop your people. You need to focus on building up your people, right? So you need to grow up and go from focusing on building your business to focus on building your people and let your people build your business, right? So maybe that's you right now for the next level of leadership, and then it's your systems. So I know that, you know, when I was running all the systems, the processes and procedures, right? So I was doing all the. If it was attraction, conversion, retention, and I was the guy in the seat, it was a freaking F14 tomcat, right? So. And I was in there just taking them down, right? So it's just like. That was. That was awesome. And then when I started my associate doctor program, I started folding in new pilots and took Francon out of that F14. And next thing you know, there's two, three, four, five pilots into it, and I'm like, why aren't they getting the same outcomes and the results? I'm literally telling them what to do and what to say. What I recognized was that F14 was built for Fransen. It was built for me, and it flew straight and true as long as I was in the seat. It was just so ego. Like, I. What I recognized was God only makes geniuses. And what. What I had to do is I had to create a more scalable process and system so that the next 35 associate doctors could thrive regardless of their cognitive profile or personalities or how persuasive and influential were. We did create a system that was based on empathy and empathetic conversion as Opposed to persuasion and influential leadership.
Right?
You can learn how to be empathetic. You can learn a system. So we had to upgrade our system and turned it into an F16, right? When you have an F16 and you have the right pilots and you just keep putting those great A players in there, you can teach them how to fly, right? So it was upgrade in the system, you know, and then it was the, the training of those systems. So we had to have the right people and making sure that we built out an A class team and professionalize the business now that we've operationalized it. And then we had to focus on development and training and investing in developing our people so that we could have a more scalable and durable organization. And it was less and less and less and less about me and more and more and more about the chiropractic, not the chiropractor. It was more about the adjustment and not the adjustor. And all of our energy went into educating people on the principle of chiropractic and making sure that they were focused on what it meant to be under regular chiropractic care, not my care, under regular chiropractic care. And we built up a team around that principle, that concept, so that that F16 was exactly the next iteration of the business. And our focus became, let's create a more scalable, more durable organization. And I needed to get smaller while the business got bigger, right? So because at the end of the day, Dr. Pete, what was good for your ego, it's just bad for your business. Hey, Doc, Steven Fransen here. If you're like me, you know that we're in the business of saving lives. And when business is good, everybody wins. That's the good news. But here's the bad news. Most chiropractors don't own a business at all. They own a job. It's a job they love, but it's a job. And far too often it feels like that job owns them. Is this true for you? Do you own, own a business or a job? Have you built and do you run your practice on brute force? Does it rely fully on your time, your effort, a pound of your flesh? Are you responsible for all growth, for all new patient generation? How about new patient conversions?
Is it all up to you?
How about patient care and delivery? Are you a sole practitioner, an owner, operator, who owns the practice, but it's also the the only one that is head down and bum up taking care of all the patients. Is revenue generation or collections all up to you? Let me ask you the Most telling question, Doc, what would happen if you took 90 days off? What breaks in my experience, most on purpose chiropractors do not lay awake at night worrying about their practice. They worry about their business. Let's slay that dragon. The Remarkable CEO Pro program has helped hundreds of chiropractors just like you turn the job that they love into the business that they've always wanted. Are you ready to run and build your practice on leverage instead of brute force? Do you want to create the scalability and durability that will allow you to make a bigger impact and a bigger income? What would it mean to grow your practice, increase your productivity and your profitability? Do you want to get your time freedom back? Are you ready to turn your pirate ship into a battleship? If this sounds like you, then the remarkable CEO program is for you. Just last year, 53 of our remarkable clients received the Seven Figure Club Award, meaning they hit the million dollar mark for the first time or their next million dollar level, be it 2 million, 3 million, 10 million. Up to 36 million and growing now, Doc, is it crazy to imagine that your practice could be next? Click the link below and learn how to apply for the next cohort of the Remarkable CEO program. We look forward to working closely with you in creating the business that supports your remarkable life, not competes with it.

Hey everyone. Welcome to the Success partner. So we've got Sam oh from Australia and talking all things it and X rays. So do you want to introduce yourself? Sam.
G', day, guys. Sam here from Medicloud. Thanks for the introduction. Yeah, we're, we're based in Australia. We dabble a little bit in New Zealand as well. And business is growing. So happy days. As you said, we specialize in the technology space. So it's. And X ray systems. Our bread and butter has always been X ray systems. That's where we started out from my garage and we noticed that the clinics needed a lot of help with the IT side. So having that background, I'm like, let's, let's give them that help that they need. Let's give them that nurturing that they need.
Yeah. And I know you started in your garage, but you've grown so much. You're looking after people, a lot of people in Australia and you don't just dabble in New Zealand. You're heading into New Zealand and through Asia as well, aren't you?
Correct, correct. So, you know, we are in the process of finalizing a company registration in New Zealand so we can start giving the same quality products, quality service to the profession over in New Zealand, north of south island, and then we'll just continue growing in that, in that space.
Amazing. So speaking of that, what are the sort of problems that you solve for, for our listeners? What are the, what are the sort of things? I know it's IT and X ray, but can you be more specific in that?
Yeah, absolutely. I mean, there's a couple of different approaches we take. So there might be an existing clinic that's having challenges and issues or there might be a new startup clinic. So they're entering the market space with setting up a new practice. If I start on the entry side of the equation, we kind of look at the clinic that's getting set up or wanting to be set up from the very, very early days and we try and gauge an understanding of what do they want to achieve. Are they going to be a single clinic or a multi location clinic? And then we provide information and access to resources on how they can go about down that path. So everything from the technology space, we become their cto. I know it's very important to have the C pillars in any organization. So we become their point of contact as their chief technology officer. We start with, let's get the basics underway. The Internet. What sort of Internet can we get access to at that location? Getting that set up. The phones, how do you want your phones to work? We find a lot of startups, you know, one of the pain points is they don't know where to go, they don't know what to do. They'll start using their personal mobile phone, they'll start, you know, registering a random number to use for the clinic. And that doesn't always work in their best interest, especially long term. You start growing that business, you don't have that infrastructure set up correctly to begin with. All of a sudden everyone's ringing on your mobile phone rather than a designated phone that you can still answer from your mobile phone and so forth. That's the primary infrastructure side.
So just on that, so that you're talking about the launch stage of practice. So this is people who are starting a practice.
Absolutely.
It's begin with the end in mind. One of the seven habits of highly effective people begin with the end in mind.
Correct.
So getting the infrastructure there at the start will actually enable them to grow rather than trying to refigure it down the track where it just creates all awkwardness. That's what you're saying in the launch.
Absolutely. And that can cause a lot of disruption to a clinic that's already halfway through its life cycle. So we try and get a good understanding. Where do you want to be, where do you want to go? What's your plans for 12 months, 24 months and maybe five years down the track? And then we try and come up with a solution that's cost effective today, but allows that future proofing of growing the business in the future, growing to a larger clinic or going to a group of clinics. So that's where we really focus on in the launch stage of a clinic.
So getting it right in launch so that they can build effectively without having to reconfigure things. So cost effective through launch. So it's not going to take much dollars there.
Correct.
There are costs involved, but then through build and scale you can take that system and add to it rather than having to reinvent it and keep on getting new systems.
Absolutely, absolutely. And everything's always thought out and designed in a strategic manner. And we make sure we know where you can cut costs and cut corners in the technology space. And we know the items that you kind of go, no, we really can't afford to cut corners in this particular aspect of the launch of a clinic or the startup of a clinic. So we hammer that in to the clinic and we go, let's figure out a way to budget for this accordingly. Let's help you focus on the core important items and then let's see how we can save your costs on other components within the clinic. So we're here to be guided by you, but at the same time we take a very strong ownership of what you're doing. So we become part of your business. We end up becoming your business partner in, in a, so to speak, kind of way. Yeah.
And that's the, the IT side. Can you talk a bit more about the problems you solve with X ray as well?
Yeah. So the, the beautiful thing about Australia is that the chiropractors can tap into what we call Medicare here through third party teleradiology companies now. So, so people understand this when you want to tap into Medicare, Medicare requires two items, the procurement of an X ray. So someone taking the X ray and the reporting of the X ray by a radiologist. So as a chiropractor, you would put on the hat of a radiographer, you're taking the X ray and then a radiologist reports on it. The combination of the two then allows you to have access to Medicare. I Mean, look, there is a specialized company or group of companies that handles that side of it, so you would need to reach out to them. But we know all the fundamentals that's required to get that up and running from our side of the equation for the clinic, in the best interest of the clinic. And then we look at the most cost effective way to get that into place for any clinic that wants to start taking X rays. And you know, I had a discussion this morning, the clinic has grown substantially and they're very, very tight on space. So we've come up with a solution that's going to allow us to fit an X ray machine effectively into a closet. So, you know, we can request certain solutions from the manufacturer to say, I'm going to fit this into a tiny little room, it's not going to be your standard fit out. And we need this to be done in the most cost effective way so it becomes a win win for, you know, for the clinic and their patients and future patient outcomes.
Awesome. So your problem solve and you know, the outcome you want to achieve and you work as a chief technology officer to help them achieve that.
Absolutely.
Think outside the square, which is amazing.
We do. And look, we try and make sure the clinic passes on the headaches of dealing with builders, construction people, electricians, data cablers over to us. We liaise with them. We know again, we know what's a cost effective way of doing certain things. And the most simplest example I'm going to give in this scenario is you require an operator shield to stand behind when taking X rays. And the legislation says you need to be able to see the patient when you're taking their X ray. The legislation doesn't say how you need to see them taking the X ray, it just says you need to see them when you're taking their X ray. Now, as you can imagine, you're taking a thoracic AP series. You might want them to breathe out so you get through that AP correctly, you're getting to see the spine. And what we've done is the lead windows, they're quite expensive. So we've asked the manufacturer to incorporate a camera directly into the X ray collimator. So the collimator is always going to be facing the patient and if the camera's there, you're going to be able to see the patient from the computer screen when you're taking the X rays. So we've eliminated the entire need of having a lead window, which 2000 $3000 saving to the clinic on the spot. And guess what? We're not charging any extra for having that webcam in a nutshell, built into the X ray machine.
Amazing. I never even heard of that. That's amazing.
Yeah.
So talking of the dollars, what sort of ROI can the CEO expect from investing in your services as Chief Technology officer?
That's a double edged line. So you've got your instant roi, which is what you would get from just taking X rays. We're not talking about long term retention of the patient, we're talking purely about taking X rays. I would generally say to someone, if they're not going to take 5 to 7x rays a week, then it is not worth their while unless they want to, you know, have, have that ability to do in house X rays. Right. If you are doing between five and seven return on investment, probably two years. If you're doing 10 patients a week, 10 new X ray patients a week and you're doing a full spinal series, you can get a return on investment rather quickly within 12 months. That'll cover the cost of your build of the X ray room, the lead shielding, your paperwork and the cost of the equipment delivery and installation. So you can really, really.
So you're talking return of investment, not just return on investment. So you're get the money you put in backs, that's return of the investment.
Correct.
In a short space of time, if someone's having more than 10x rays a week.
Absolutely, yeah, absolutely. It's not rocket science. It's very straightforward, it's very simple. It's, and again, it boils down to the clinic having good procedures and processes in place. As a chiropractic patient myself, I've got, you know, titanium cages in my neck, I've got a fused lumbar spine. So I realistically, if I was to see a chiropractor for the first time, knowing what I know about my own spine, it won't actually, I want them to X ray me. I don't want them to touch me without, without that X rays. So, you know, so that's, there's a massive clinical benefit to having the X rays in the clinic and there's again, there's a lot of tips and tricks. We, we educate the clinics on when we do install an X ray system, on how to use the system correctly, how to get the most value out of that system, how to save time when using the system. I know for a fact a lot of our clinics with our particular X ray system and the way we've designed and implemented it, you should be able to do a full Spinal series. So that's a set of 5-6x rays within under two minutes.
So you've got the logistics down. So considering what's important next, how do you. And you've talked a little bit about this, helping doctors be prepared to succeed in the future, that's really around being the chief technology officer and thinking ahead of what they're thinking, right? That's how you're doing that.
Absolutely. So, and look, we leverage off our existing clientele base. We see what works, what doesn't work, who's doing things a particular way, what's working for them, what's not working for them, and we gather that knowledge and without disclosing information about someone else or on someone else's intellectual property, we review constantly and revise constantly what's working out there. And we look at the changes in technology, you know, with the introduction of AI and, and new practice management systems and everything along the way, and we go, how can we allow these clinics to integrate into these systems moving forward? How can we improve the patient workflow? How can we streamline a clinic's, you know, ability to work as efficiently as possible and free up the time for not just the chiropractor, but the ca, you know, and a very simple example of that is we've got a lot of clients using practice management software called Cliniko. And a lot of these cloud systems, they don't have too much capabilities of working with internal products because they're all cloud based. They don't integrate with any products internally. So we've taken it up on ourselves to go, all right, they're taking X rays. How do we get these X rays into Cliniko automatically? And we wrote special, special code to do that. So now we've got a code that automatically sends the images straight into the practice management software. You know, spinallogic's already got that capability in there. We didn't have to write anything special, but we've done that for a majority of our clients that use Cliniko, then we've taken it one step further and we're like, well, in a radiology environment, which we look after radiology centers, the front desk management system, or the clinic management system sends the patient details into the X ray machine so they don't have to walk to the X ray machine, type in the details. And we've done that as well. So now it's going in both directions.
Then that's the IT background. You're actually thinking ahead and making sure that it's as easy as possible for your Clients basically, isn't it?
Absolutely. And we've got the check in module. You know, we've come to enough TRP sessions to hear about check in checkout. We're like, hey, great idea, let's put a check in module into Cliniko. And now that we've got that underlying code in place, we can start reaching out to, you know, Prac Suite and other cloud based providers and say to them, guys, we're able to do this for your software. It'll add value to your product but ultimately it'll add value to the clinics that use these products. So that's the long road for our business but ultimately it's about providing something back to the profession.
Yeah, amazing. So what's the best way for the listeners to learn more about your services, get in contact with you, take the next step?
Look, something that we've kick started mid last year and it wasn't purely for SEO purposes was our blog. So we've created the on our website www.mediccloud.com. you got to spell it right. M A D I C l o u d.com.au We've got a blog section, we've called it the Medic Cloud Hub. Go in there, there's a lot of training videos, there's a lot of information there on things you can do within your clinic, within your X ray systems. You know, whether you're buying a secondhand X ray machine from, from Facebook or whatever might be the case, we're there providing you guys a whole bunch of resources and information. And all our contact information is on our website as well. So you can quite easily reach out to us directly from our website, whether it's through our 1300, 658103 number or our email address or the contact form on the webpage.
Yeah, so really go to the website. So thank you so much Sam. What a great service you provide through Australasia at this point. But I can see where your vision is going. So a great, great success, partner of the remarkable practice. Looking forward to seeing you, seeing you in person very soon at one of our events.
Can't wait. Thank you.
