This is a patient testimonial video produced/posted by Dr. Greg Eckel describing Maury’s experience with stem cell injections in both arthritic knees. Prior to treatment Maury reported severe, progressive right-knee pain (8–9/10 depending on activity), impaired walking and daily activities, and exercise limited to pool walking (about 72 laps per session). The transcript documents immediate treatments (injection, hyperbaric therapy) and an early follow-up around May 6; three weeks after the injection Maury traveled to Israel for 16 days — and reports his knees are about 95% improved compared to before treatment.

Now I've got it going.
Okay.
All right. So thank you, Maury, for coming in and giving a testimonial. This is your pre video before we do the injection. So we're, we're getting ready. We're going to do the stem vite shot to both of your knees. So you've got bilateral knee pain. The right knee is worse than the left.
Correct.
And we had talked about, you know, what has been going on with that right knee. So maybe you can share with us what, what's going on.
The right knee has been progressively getting worse over, especially over the last year or so. It's to the point where it's past discomfort, it's not allowing me to do things. I can't walk normally, there's a weakness in my knees. The pain level is, depending on what I'm doing, is anywhere from an 8 to a 9. And so the other knee, not nearly as bad. It's just starting. But they're both arthritic.
What were your options up to this point?
The options are either live with it or have a knee replacement. First on one knee and eventually on the other.
Geez. And in particular you said that eight, you're getting that eight to nine out of ten pain every day.
Pretty much every day, depending on use.
And you were saying in the car in particular, it was a big time.
Yeah, it's a real problem, even driving. And I lucky because I have, I forget what they call it for cruise control, but it reacts over the traffic.
In front of me so I don't.
Have to worry about turning it on, turning it off.
Got it.
And I need that because I have to allow my leg to stretch.
Has the pain changed anything that you do in your day to day or any routines?
Everything.
Yeah.
What has it changed?
I mean, I can't be mobile, I can't do a lot of things. I can't go golfing, I can't even walk. But the only exercise I'm able to do is pool walking and I am able to pool walk. I find that the pain when I get in the pool over the first four or five laps and it's a standard Olympic sized pool, I feel it and then the endorphins move in and I'm able to walk a mile in the pool. I do 72 laps. I try to do that three times a week.
Great, great.
But that's the only time I can do it.
Yeah, it's weightless, basically. Yeah. So I'm really, I'm really looking forward to seeing what, what we get done for you. We're gonna do both. Yeah. I'm super excited. So here we go.
Here's the second part of my treatment, which is a hyperbaric chamber. And I've got stuff on my knees that I'm doing and all that. Lights, flashes and whatnot. So hopefully it'll all work.
As you know, this is the second day since I've had my shot. It's a Sunday, May 6, the day of the shot. The two shots I walked about.
I would.
I would guess around two, two and a quarter miles over dip overdid it, and consequently my knees hurt that evening. Yesterday, Brennan and I went out and I walked about a total of maybe three quarters of a mile. I had the hyperbaric treatment. We went down to Saturday market. I can't tell you that my knees were any better. Maybe I'm not wearing a brace. And what I did notice was the left knee, which was not as seriously as bad as the right knee, did give me some pain that I hadn't had before. I will report back the end of today and let you know what's going on.
Hi, my name is Maury. And in early May, I had stem cell injections in both of my arthritic knees. It got to the point where I couldn't walk properly, I couldn't sleep, I was in constant pain. And stem cells seemed to be the right thing to do. After the research that my wife and I had done regarding this treatment. Subsequent to my stem cell treatment, in three weeks after, I went to Israel for 16 days, something I couldn't even contemplate doing prior to the success of the treatment. Currently my knees are about 95% better than they were before.
