Jeffrey Bland argues that healthspan matters more than lifespan. Living longer means nothing without the ability to move, think, and connect. Exercise, diet, sleep, and relationships are what you can actually control.
When it comes to longevity, lifespan is way more important than healthspan.
True or false?
False. False.
False.
I would say that would be false.
Because lifespan is unpredictable. Many factors.
That are unpredictable.
Healthspan is something you can actually do something about in a very big way, directly including exercise, eating properly, sleep, your social relationships, all those things. So whether you live to 80, 90, 100, 110 doesn't matter as much as.
The quality.
Of your life until that last week comes.
It's kind of the idea of like, would you want to be 120 years old, sitting in a nursing home, not knowing who you are? That wouldn't be too much. So what I like to say is we like quality and longevity.
