7 Manifestations of the Holy Spirit | Dr. Mike Woods, Sr. | #drmikewoods

In this extensive sermon, Dr. Michael Lyris Woods leads a worship service that moves from exuberant praise and a collective invitation to welcome God, into a fervent prayer for the Holy Spirit’s fire to fall upon Atlanta, Georgia, and the congregation. He emphasizes the biblical doctrine that believers are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, urging listeners to view their bodies as temples and to live as living sacrifices. Woods then introduces a systematic teaching on the seven manifestations of the Holy Spirit drawn from Isaiah 11:2‑3: the Spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord. Throughout, he critiques superficial expressions of spirituality—such as reliance on tongues alone, empty worship rituals, and the church’s preoccupation with social media—while sharing personal testimonies of how reliance on God, rather than worldly success, has shaped his life and ministry. He calls for deeper, authentic engagement with the Spirit, urging believers to prioritize wisdom, understanding, and holy living over cultural distractions, and to manifest the Spirit in every aspect of life.

As we offer up praise unto your name. Can y'all say welcome one more time? Come on, sing it to Jesus. Welcome, welcome. Come on, everybody, into those that are joining us live. Open your mouth and say, welcome, welcome into this brokenness. Come on, sing to him. You desire, oh God, to abide in the praises. Shout out and say, hey, hey, oh God, so we live, we live, God, that our hands as we lift our hearts, as we offer up this praise unto your name. Come on, put your hand on your heart and just say, as we offer up this praise unto your— As we offer up this praise unto your name. Come on, sing it to Jesus. As we offer—

good Messiah— this praise unto your name. So Father, we give you praise and we thank you for another opportunity to assemble Father, it is your will that we come together, for your word declares to forsake not the assembly of ourselves together as the manner of some is. So Father, we have heeded the call again to come together in corporate worship. And Father, you declared in your word where two or three would gather in your name, Father, that you would be in the midst of us. And so Father, in the name of Jesus, God, it is not the august crowds, it is not the populace of people that we seek after. But God, our whole desire today is your presence, is your face. And so God, even as we worship today, confuse our very enemy. God, confound our enemy. God, in worship, every plan and every plot of the devil, God, we bind it up in the name of Jesus. God, our hearts are open, our mind is open, and we decree and declare, God, you are welcome in this room. God, we declare today we can do nothing without you. It is in you that we live. Yes, God, it's in you that we move. It's in you that we have our being. God, you're our strength, you're our help. God, God, we don't want to ever miss it to the left or the right. So God, we decree and declare that accuracy shall be our portion. God, our ears are sensitive to your will, our hearts are sensitive to your purpose. And God, in the name of Jesus, make us accurate in everything we do, God. God, we don't want to miss you. We want to be totally aligned, not in your permissive will, God, but we want to find ourselves in your perfect will. And God, we understand that when we come into your perfect plan and when we come into your way of doing things, God, God, that everything in our life becomes easy. For your word declares your yoke is easy and your burden is light. But you declared in your Your word, God, the way of a transgressor is hard. God, let us not be found in transgression in any way in our life, God. And God, we— ah, we declare that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Glory to your name, God, that in everything we do, we stand in holiness, we stand in righteousness, we We stand in peace. We stand in the peace of God that surpasseth all understanding. And God, we cry out to you today, God, because we need you. We need your presence. We need your power. We need your anointing. We need your grace. God, fill us again. God, revive us again. God, let your fire burn. Let your fire burn. Let it burn in our midst, God. Let it burn in our house. Let it burn in our church. Let it burn in our profession. God, burn in us again. Burn in us again. Burn, burn. Let your fire fall on Atlanta. Let your fire fall on this region called Georgia. Let your fire fall. Lord have mercy. Until sinners are redeemed. Until the righteous rule in covenant. Let fire fall. Until holiness is our way of life. Let fire fall. Until our mayor walks with you. Let fire fall. Until our governor walks with you. Let fire— Fall! Come on, talk to him, talk to him. Open your mouth and tell the Lord, send fire, send fire. Let your blaze burn. Let your fire fall.
Oh yes, Jesus!
Those of you watching us online right now, let the fire fall right where you are until your children are saved, until your children are delivered. God, raise up a generation of sons that will burn for you. That will take your glory into the world, and men will be delivered, and men will be changed in the name of Jesus. This is our hope.
Yes, God. Hallelujah.
This is our plan, God. And for that reason, we welcome you.
Thank you, God.
We open our hearts to receive you. Yes, we want nothing more than to be in your presence. We want nothing more for you to get the glory out of our lives.
Thank you, Jesus.
We want nothing more but to move in obedience. We rebuke rebellion, for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. And God, your word declares you suffer not a witch to live. So God, we rebuke rebellion in our land, in our church, in our homes, in our children. We rebuke rebellion, Father, and we declare that men will line up with your wheel, line up with your river, as they learn to believe on you. For your word declares that we believe on you. As the scripture has said, out of our belly will flow rivers of living water. Father, I don't know about you, anyone else in this room, but God, my request is that the river of God, Eshakaya, will flow out of me, God. I don't have time to play church. I don't have time to play with this thing. God, I thank you for being real in my life. God, I thank you that I've learned to live holy. I've learned to live right. I've learned to supple with you. I've learned to reign with you. I've learned to be abased and I've learned to be high. God, I trust you with everything. So Father, today, even this church, Rhoda Church, I trust you with it. I'm in your hands. None of me and all of you. What you choose to do with this apostolic hub, do it in this city. We're not in competition with nobody. We're not even interested in what anyone else is really doing. We want to be in your will. Yes, God, find us there.
Yes, Lord.
And we trust you, God.
Thank you, Jesus.
We thank you that the worst days are over, that the best is here. We give you praise for this service. Let every song be ministered under the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
Thank you, Jesus.
That the anointing in here will be documented on video and translated to those out there.
Thank you, Jesus.
I praise you, God, for the word of the Lord that you've given me for today. Thank you, God. I ask you, God, to speak and send your word with power and let somebody watching be changed and transformed. God, even in this room, send us to a place of transformation and transfiguration. Yes, Lord, give us a place of transfiguration that religion has no concept of. It's interesting, God, that on the Mount of Transfiguration you only brought Peter, James, and John. There were 9 others that were not ready for that mountain. Father, I'm asking you to take us to the mountain of transfiguration where we see you through a lens that we've never seen you before. Ah, that you would transfigure yourself. Right before our eyes, that the Jesus we knew yesterday will be a greater Jesus today and tomorrow. Let transfiguration be a dimension of growth in our life daily. Unpack the fullness of your measure. That we could walk with you. That we can live in you and through you in every regard. Thank you that you add to the church daily such as would be saved. And we bless you for it now, in Jesus' name. Come on, just lift your hands right where you are. Let's worship him a few moments. We give God glory, we give God glory. Those of you that are watching us live, lift your hands, create a space of worship right where you are. We want to welcome all of you that are watching us live even now, and we decree and declare that as this word goes out today, we declare your life will never ever be the same. We declare that your greatest days are in front of you. Hallelujah! Just declare it, just declare it. Welcome, welcome, welcome, God. We welcome you here in Jesus' mighty name. Come on, agree to— hallelujah! We give you glory, God. Hallelujah, Jesus! Father, we worship you, Jesus. Father, we just thank you, oh God.
Lord, we welcome you into our heart, God. We welcome you into this place, oh God. We ask, oh God, that you take control and that you take charge, oh God. We lift your name. There's freedom though you capture me. I got joy instead of mourning. There's freedom in my brokenness. I got joy instead of mourning. There's freedom though you capture me. I got joy instead of mourning. You give me joy down deep in my soul, down deep in my soul, down deep in my soul. Sing! You give me joy down deep in my soul, down deep in my down deep in my soul. There's beauty, there's beauty in my brokenness. I got true love instead of pain. There's freedom though you captured me. I got joy instead of mourning. Can we lift up that there is beauty in my brokenness? I got true love instead of pain. And though your freedom, oh God, it has captured me, sing, I got joyfully-yam. Morning to you. You give me joy down deep in my soul, down deep in my soul, down deep in my soul. Sing you, you give me joy down deep in my soul, down deep in my soul, down deep in my soul. I never, I never been so happy. —so free caught in your love for me. I've never been so secure knowing your love, God. I've never been so, so free caught in your love for me. I've never been so secure knowing your love, Lord. Say, I never, I never been so free caught in your love. Me. I never been secure, never been so secure knowing your heart, Lord. I never been so, so free caught in your love for me. I never been so secure knowing your heart, Lord. I never been so free caught in your love for me. I've never been so secure knowing you're my Lord. Can you sing that? I've never been so free caught in your love for me. Sing, I've never been so secure knowing you're my Lord. Sing, you, you give me joy down deep in my soul. Down deep in my soul! Down deep in my soul sing you, You give me Joy down Deep in My Soul—down deep in my soulll? —down deep in my Soulllll—you Give...you give Me Joy down deep in my soouuulldown deep in my sssoulleeeeee?! Down deep in my soul. You give me, God, you give me joy.
Oh yeah, down deep.
Hallelujah. Down deep in my soul, down deep in my soul. Sing, you give me, you give me joy. Wherever you are, point at yourself and tell the Lord that you give me joy. Down deep in my soul you give me joy down deep in my soul— My soul! Down deep in my soul God You give me joy down deep in my soul down deep in my soul down deep in my soul There's beauty in my brokenness. Has anybody been broken? I got true love instead of pain. And you chose to replace the pain with love. That's freedom. Though you captured me, whom the sun sets free is free indeed. I choose joy instead of mourning. 'Cause you give me joy down deep in my soul, down deep in my soul, down deep in my soul. You give me joy. Hallelujah! Father, we worship you, oh God. Father, we're grateful for another day, oh God. We're grateful for another moment of worship, oh God, with you, oh God. We love you, oh God. And Father, we just beckon before you, oh God, to speak to you right now, oh God, asking that you will rain down your anointing, oh God, that you, oh God, will shift the atmosphere, oh God. Wherever everyone is at right now, Father, I ask that you will meet their need, oh God. God, I ask that you will go before us on today, oh God, and camp your angels all around us, oh God. Holy Spirit, take your place. Holy Spirit, take your place. Thank you, God. Almighty God, we need you. Right now. Need more of your glory, more of your spirit, more of your grace and your mercy and power. We need more of your spirit, more of your more of your love and your grace and your mercy. We need more of your presence, more of your Spirit, more of your power and your grace and your mercy. We need more. Father, we need more, we need more. Now if you can think about words to fill those lyrics, make it personal and tell God what you need more of. Make this song personal. Even though it's lyrically made, we have to make it personal to God. We sing We need more of your presence, more of your spirit, more of your power and your grace and your mercy. I need more of your power, more of your spirit, more of your love. And your mercy and grace. We need more of your power, more of your spirit. Yes, yes. More of your love and your mercy and grace. We need more of your power, more of your Spirit, more of your love and your mercy and grace. We need more of your power, more of your Spirit, more of your grace and your mercy and your love. Father, fill us Fill us, Jesus. Fill us, Jesus. Fill us, Jesus. We want more. We want more of your power. More of your spirit. More of your grace and your mercy. We want more of your power. Father, we want more of your Spirit. More of your mercy. More of your mercy. More of your mercy. More of your grace, oh God. Sing more of your Spirit. More of your power, more of your grace, more of your anointing. Oh God, we need more, we want more of your spirit.
Hallelujah to Jesus! Hallelujah! So glad to be in the house of the Lord today. He's an amazing God. Thank you, God. And beside him there is no other. Glory to God. I tell you, God is good to me. Before I take it back, the old mother said, I'll add one to it. The Lord has been good to me. I agree. Glory to the name of God. He's been great and wonderful to me. Glory to God. There's a word word from the Lord, and I'm going to be very extemporaneous in my sharing this today, but I do want to give what the Lord has given me to share with you. Glory to God. My interest more than ever is being in alignment with God. I cannot afford to miss God in any way, and I just want always be where he wants me to be and do what he wants me to be doing. I don't want to be doing anything that he's not in. Glory to God. I want to start a new series where really it's not new. I actually began— I taught the first message, actually a portion of it, uh, on Pentecost Sunday when I was at Superintendent Montgomery's church. But I'm going to revisit some things because I think it's very important that people understand really who the Holy Spirit is and why we live in him. So I want to start a series today, and it's going to be entitled The Dwelling Place. And the, the subthought of that would be who lives in you, and actually where do you live. Glory to God. I just touched yourself and said, I am, I am the Dwelling Place. Of God. Come on, say it again. Say, I am the dwelling place of God. I think we live a whole lot different, we experience a whole lot more if we understood that God really lives in us for real, and that we really live in him for real. I think a lot of people in the world just don't get that. This is why people live insensitive fact that God is really with them. Uh, in the scriptures, particularly in the New Testament, a lot of times the Holy Spirit is referred to in symbolism as a dove. And I, I, I want to submit to you off the top today that we ought to live our lives like we're walking around really with a dove on our shoulder. And if we move the wrong way, I want to tell you something that dove flies away in the natural. So just think about this: if the Holy Spirit is with you daily on your shoulder, we got to make sure we're making the right moves where he doesn't leave. The Bible says, grieve not the Holy Spirit. The greatest thing you could do is disappoint him by not being alignment with his will. So today we're going to start this, and I just want to give you some background text to through the series. I'm actually not going to talk a lot about the Dwelling Place today, but as the month goes on, I'm going to visit this every Sunday, every Thursday, because I want to make sure that not only we understand just who lives in us, but that the world is very clear that when you receive the Holy Ghost that is actually for real God in you. I want you to get that. It's not a feeling, it's not, uh, goosebumps, it's not gifts. Those things are manifestations of him being there, but God is really in you. Amen. So I want to read a few scriptures. 1 Corinthians 6, let's start there in verse number 19. The Bible says this, it says, or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? So right there, the text gives us some reality as to why our body actually exists. A lot of times we don't understand this, but the only reason in foresight that God gave man a body was that in his omniscience, knowing everything that would happen, he knew one day he would have to come to the earth in the form of the Holy Spirit and actually take up residence inside of us. So, so Paul proposes a question. He said, do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost? So this body belongs to God. If you're watching, touch yourself and say, my body belongs to God. Touch yourself in here and say, my body belongs to God. And when we understand that, we will be very cognizant of where we put our body, because it is not ours, it's God's. We'll be conscious of what we put on our body. We'll be cognizant of what we do to this temple, because what we put in it, even when we eat, because this is his body. I am so conscious about how I eat, especially since I've gotten older, because one, I need to stay around here long as I can so that God can use this body as long as he wants to. So I'm gonna go to the gym, I'm going to exercise, and I'm going to eat right because I want my body be available to be a temple. I don't want to be this sacrifice to God that he can't use, that I'm tired, I have no energy, I have no drive to get done what he's asking me to do. So I understand I gotta take care of my body. Say that again. Say it with me. Say, my body is the temple of God. Say, my body belongs to God. And I think in the church we're so busy of going after icons and going through the motions of what church looks like, we have really forgotten that when we leave this building, God lives in us for real. This is why it's so easy for church folk to be in bars and clubs, not witnessing. I'm all for going to the club. I just— let me know, let's go to the club, but when we go, our purpose is to prophesy, to lay hands, to witness, to minister to people inside the club. We're not going to party. But you got a lot of people who will— glory to the name of God— go to the club, and their body is in the club drinking, smoking, dancing, doing everything everybody else doing, like God don't live in the temple. Temple. I mean, I could just preach all day right here, but because people really act like they don't know their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Watch this. Who is in you? So he lives in us, right? We're tripartite beings. We're body, we're soul, we're spirit. God, when we get filled with the Holy Ghost, he takes up residence in our spirit. And he lives inside of this body with us. That's how bad this dude is. He's omnipresent. He's everywhere at the same time, which means the person of God— this is, this is one of the most powerful things about his omnipresence. He can be in me, he can be in Clinton, he can be in Laquita, he can be in Felicia, he can be in all of you watching me. Glory to the name of God. At the same time, he, he, his omnipresence also dictates that he has to— he has the ability to do everything that he could normally do in every place. So that means there's somebody in Africa right now that God dwells in, that God can talk to, right? And he could talk to me in here, right? He can listen to someone in Africa and listen to me. Glory to God. He can heal somebody and give somebody a miracle in here and give somebody a miracle in Africa because he's everywhere at the same time. That's right. And not only is he just hanging around, but those of us who claim we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and he lives in us, he's in everybody at the same time. That's heavy, man. He says, for we are the temple of the living God. Hallelujah. He says you are not your own. So do you know you are temple of God and you're not your own? I know you thought your body was your body and you just do with your body what you want to do with. You can't. When you come to Jesus, you bring your body to him. Wait a minute, come here, Paul. To the Romans 12, present your body. Oh, he said present your body a living sacrifice. The word living is zio in Greek. It literally means a sacrifice that's usable for supernatural things. God says, I want you to come to me alive, not all broke down, right? Not can't barely make it. God, you know, people can wait to the end of their life, say I'm coming to Jesus now. That's not what he said. He wants you to come as a living sacrifice that he can use you in service. Watch this, holy. So it means when I give my body up, I lend it now to holiness. Y'all know it's a— I don't know about you, but for me, for me, and really in principle it is for everybody, it's a sacrifice to live holy. Oh boy, I grew up in a church where they got up in church, they said, oh, thank the Lord, give honor to God as the head of my life, thank God for the bishop, saints, and friends, and I want to thank the Lord for delivering me from a miserable life of sin. You big liar! Sin was not miserable in no way. Y'all ain't got to say that. Sin is not miserable. Matter of fact, I can think of some sins that's quite fun. Glory to God. And it's a sacrifice to give them sins up. Y'all ain't got to talk to me. He said, I want you to come as a living sacrifice, knowing that you've given up something you could be doing so God can live inside of you. That's right. Let's look at 2 Corinthians 6:16. For what agreement— hear this— Does the temple of God have with idols? Oh boy. For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said. So that means we should not be coming in agreement— sythenao in Greek— with anything that is— oh my God— worshiped outside of God. Oh boy. So we shouldn't be worshiping anything other than God because we're his temple. We shouldn't use our temple, glory to God, as an object of worship. Nobody should worship us as humans. Oh boy, I've had some people— oh, he's just a god, or she's just a god. That's crazy. At the end of the day, there's no human that's God. I don't care what they did. That's right. God is God and God alone, and he has no fellowship or agreement with idols. Hallelujah! Psalm 91. Watch this. Well, let me finish reading that. He said, what agreement— another question— has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said. Watch this. He said, I will dwell in them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wait a minute, do y'all hear that? He said, I'm gonna dwell in you walk among you. Wherever you go, I'm going. And I'm gonna be your God, you're gonna be my people. That means everywhere you go, God says, if I'm in you, I'm going. So that means you ought to be mindful of where you go. That's right. Because he said, if I'm gonna be— if you're gonna be your God, you'll be my people. You only gonna go places that I want to be that is not idolatrous. You're going to go places— watch this— that give me glory and revere me. I'm not hanging out with a group of people that don't glorify God. If I'm around them— Jesus was a friend of sinners— but if I'm in the midst of sinners, what's going to happen? That God in me is going to become a light to the community or culture I'm in at the time. Because watch this, wherever I go, he goes. Some people get around people who don't know God, and if they— if you didn't know them, you walk up on them, you couldn't tell they were saved or not because there's no difference. They act like them, they talk like them, they blend in. But God says, I'm gonna walk among you, I'm gonna, I'm gonna do it. If somebody live with you, you can't escape them. Y'all ain't got to say nothing. My— listen, when my children were small, especially Alex, whenever Alex was at my house, Alex stayed on my heels like this. Whenever I move he moved. Ludacris, just like that, right? He moved with me the whole time. And sometimes I want to say, boy, go sit down somewhere, I'm trying to go over here. And then he would— Michael would do this too. They were both be somewhere in the house with somebody else doing something else, and I would try to sneak off somewhere to do something. It wouldn't be a minute or 2 minutes, there's a knock at the door. They would find me because they dwelled with me. They knew my moves. For some reason, they knew where I was at. They knew where their daddy was. Listen, if you really walk with God, there's never a time you'll know where he is. There's never a time you don't feel he's in the mix of what you're trying to do. Listen, some things you just don't do. Because he's with you. Listen, there's some things even when I was doing my own thing I would never do around my mama or daddy because that was my mama and daddy. What more would I do for God? So you got to be mindful, and that's why we're going to talk about this, this month. Who lives with you? The dwelling place. You are the dwelling place. Psalm 91 says Lord, thou has been— here it is— our dwelling place in all generations. So God, it didn't just start being the dwelling place, he's been the dwelling place in all generations. Glory to God. So this thing is twofold: I live in him and he lives in me. That's a powerful piece again that lends itself to his omnipresence. He takes up residence in me through the Holy Spirit, but that Holy Spirit in me gives me access to the Father. And now I could dwell in the Father because when I come before the Father, he just sees himself, right? Oh God. And I can fellowship with him. But today And I have to teach this the way God gave it to me, because if I did it myself, I just wouldn't talk about Dwelling Place today. But those scriptures, we're going to unpack all of this in detail this month. But what I want to talk about today, because we got to understand this, and I think, uh, in the body of Christ, this is vitally important. This is a very crucial hour where people must grasp the realities of who the Holy Ghost is for real. So today I want to talk about the 7 manifestations of the Holy Ghost. And as we talk about the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit, whatever you want to call them— listen, I got filled, I was told and read in the Bible it was the Holy Ghost, so that's what I'm going with. Glory to God. I know some people got the Holy Spirit. But I am the Holy Ghost. Glory to God. I got it, I got it. It's the same thing, but that's just the culture I was in. Praise God. So I want to talk about the 7 manifestations of the Holy Ghost. And through this series, I'm going to talk about the 7 moves of the Holy Ghost. I'm going to talk about the 7 dimensions of the Holy Ghost, because we need to understand his person so we know who's living with us. Amen. So today we're going to first look at Isaiah 11:3, but before you go there, I want you to look at Mark 7:15. And in Mark 7:15, here it is. Jesus says— and I'm reading out the NIV— he says, nothing outside a person— listen to this— can defile them by going into them. Rather— listen— it is what comes out of a person that defiles him. So Jesus is making it clear that what we manifest in our life has nothing to do with external conditions or elements, but whatever comes out of your life is a product of what's in you already. I tell people all the time, you know, people at the end of the day I hang out with people, especially playing golf and in business sometimes, that they ain't saved as they need to be. They claim saved, but they ain't saved as they need to be. And sometimes a cuss word will slip out somebody's mouth, and they were like, oh, oh, Pastor, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to cuss. I said, yes you did, it's in you. Glory to God. Once cussing— and I tell them, once cussing get out you, you'll stop cussing. But you cuss not by virtue of the fact that you swung at that golf ball and barely hit it and it rolled. You swung hard as you could and it rolled 3 feet in front of you because that's just what happens. God will test to see if you're really saved. And at the end of the day, I've seen jokers that claim to be born again swing as hard as they can at the ball and just roll 2, 3 feet in front of them, and they go to cussing at the ball. Well, it wasn't the golf ball. It was because the golf ball is external. It can't make you cuss. What made you cuss was the cussing that's already in you. Ah yeah, glory to God. So if you cuss somebody out, you need deliverance from profanity. The spirit of profanity is taking up residence somewhere in you, and then you need deliverance. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Somebody said, I ain't forgot how to cuss, I ain't forgot how to fight. Peter cussed. Well, Peter has some issues. Glory to God. And Peter needed some deliverance. He finally got it, but he needed some deliverance. Couldn't poke ear off, cussing, all that. But at the end of the day, you just have to own your stuff because you want to make room for God to dwell in you big. That's right. Because what you want coming out of you is him and the things that pertain to him, because that's what brings change in other people's life. Listen to this: the depth to which God is in you is always congruent to the depth— or the extent, I'm sorry. So the depth to which God is in you is always congruent to the extent that he will come out of you. So if he's in you deep, he comes out of you deep. You can heal cancer when he's in you deep. You can heal blindness when he's in you deep. You could come up against forces of darkness and cause strongholds to back up when he's in you deep. But if, but if we're playing with it, those demons will laugh at us when we come up against Watch this. There was some, some people walking with Paul, and they tried to do what Paul did and tried to cast out some demons. The demons said, wait a minute, Paul I know, Jesus I know, uh, Michael Woods I know, but who in the world is you? Are you hearing this? Because at the end of the day, they were shallow. And you got a whole lot of people who claim to be deep in God, but they're really shallow. Cannot heal a flea with a headache, couldn't cast a devil out of a pinky finger or a little toe because they have no power, they have no debt, because so many other things are trying to take up residence inside of them with God. And we got to get those things out. Glory to God. So the reality here is— I gotta move— the concept of dwelling in God and God manifesting out of us, it raises a factual confirmation— watch this— of the dependability, the stability— watch this— and the eternal constancy of God. God is eternally constant, which means he doesn't change. The Bible says the God— I'm the Lord your God and I change not. I— Jesus said, I'm the same yesterday, today, and forever. So wait a minute, if he's the same and don't change, what's going on now? Because you got a lot of people who say they're in God and it don't look nothing like how God moves. It don't look nothing like how God really is. Because we're trying to— listen, I saw something that just grieved my spirit. And you know, my, my brother-in-law, my wife's brother, he means well, but he just played entirely too much. So he sent me a, a video. He said, uh, Michael, I thought you might want to see this. I'm like, when I watch, I'm like, why in the ham sandwich do he believe I want to see this? I opened the video, start watching it. There was a preacher that had a couple on the altar who were having trouble conceiving. You saw that? Went viral. Yeah, because stupid stuff in the church goes viral. This kind of intelligence right here don't go viral, but dumb stupid stuff like that goes viral, right? So at the end of the day, you— this guy has the couple on the altar having sex in front of the congregation. He got him covered up with one of the throwcloths. You know, when you fall out, throw the throwcloth on him. And he's hovering over them praying. And I mean, he's going in praying that they would conceive a child. They were having sex on— and I— my spirit was grieved because that is not how God works. That is, that is uncomely. It's disrespectful to the house of God. On the altar in the temple, married or not, is disrespectful. You have sex at home in your bed. Why you couldn't pray and send them home? At the end of the day, that's too much. The church have made this show of God, and now people who are not saved don't want no parts of what we're doing. That's right. It's a complete mess, but we gotta move it away and get in God in a way that his stability, his dependency, his eternal constancy is flowing out of us in a way that people desire it. I'm telling you, if we walk in this way, people will want— I was in Austin, uh, 2 weeks ago, and I did an event 80% of the people in these events, in this event, were born— were not born again. At least 85%. But I think in these, all these cryptocurrency people, all this stuff. But my very presence— and I'm thanking God for this because with what I represent, and when people would walk up to me and talk to me, everything that came out of my mouth was about eternity. It was about God. It was about what he's able to do. It wasn't about the systems that the world's trying to create. It was about a kingdom reality that everything that is happening, guess what? God is in control. That was my story. From the opportunities I had to talk, from the opportunities I had to serve, everything was about advancing the kingdom, even in the midst of sinners. And that's what people need. People say, well, how did you do that? How do you do that? How did you end up here? God. Only thing they needed to understand— it wasn't my hard work, it wasn't my intelligence, it wasn't who I know. It was me staying with God, and his eternal existence inside of me have brought me to the place that I am now. People are working hard to get places that God did not ordain. That's right. Oh boy, people are building ladders on their own, climbing up them, trying to be something that God did not call them to be. Everybody wants a million followers. That's the new thing. If you can reach a million, you made it. Listen, it don't make no difference if you got a million— and I could just tell you this— or 10,000. If you have no ability to monetize the million, you just got a million folk watching you, hitting likes, and you ain't making no money off the million that's following you, you still ain't did nothing. That's right. So if you get a million, what you gonna do with a million followers? How are you going to bring glory to God with the people that tap into what you do? This, this is what we need. The world needs stability. The world needs dependability. The world needs a church that they can depend on. I am so tired of the church as usual, the church that we see now. I'm tired of religion selling us hope, selling us false promises that are not rooted in relationship with God. Listen, in my experience as a man of God and a child of God, God. I have never seen religion be able to deliver on any promise. Religion will make promises it cannot deliver on. But if we tap into God for real, that's right, and we can begin to really live for the King, we'll see things we never saw before. I'm gonna get into this, but I want you to look at John 14:3. I'm introduction. When I get to it, I'm done. I got 2 scriptures in the text that I'm going to prophetically just plow through, but I want to lay a backdrop to this. John 14:3, look at it, write it down. Watch what Jesus says. He says, and if I go and prepare— prepare a place for you— which means I prepare this place in advance I paré, I make the details in advance. Pre-paré. Paré is details, pré is in advance. So I set up the details of this place before you get there. Listen, he says, I will come again. Wait a minute, so Jesus already went, we know this, and prepared a place. And this is where the church missed it because they missed the rest of the Revelation. The church is living an escapism mentality. Reality. We want to escape Earth. Most church folk— and religion has taught this in error— are living with a suitcase packed, looking out the window saying, Jesus, when you coming? Jesus, please come on back. They try to get out the world and go to heaven, but this is never the design. The design is that we impact and influence the world because he dwells in us. Watch what he says. He's— I'm a pair of places. When we get through working, you come to this particular place. But watch this, he's— I'm gonna come again after I get that place together, and I'm gonna receive you to myself. Watch this, that where I am, not where I'm going. That's right, that don't say where I'm going. He said where I am. Wait a minute, there you can be also. Wait a minute, I just told you, where is he? He's in us. When we receive the Holy Ghost and get baptized in God, he lives in us, and where he is, we're also there. So that means you got access to God, you got access to the King. The question is, does he have access to you? He said, where I am, you're going to be also. I got a place that you can go to later, but right now where I am, because I receive you to myself, you can roll with me also. What? I can hang out with God. I can commune with the Father. I can commune with Jesus. I can operate under the auspices of the Holy Ghost in every aspect of my life. He said, yeah, you'll be there also. Where am I? Whatever. So watch this. Wherever God said, that's where you should want to be. And the first place I want to tell he is, is in you. He's in you, and you need to take that so serious because that changes everything. You know how many people have attained physical success without God in them? Just think about what you can do with him in you. Just think about what you could accomplish, what you could achieve to bring glory to him because he's there. Oh, all right, so let's look at these 7 manifestations. Isaiah 11, verses 1, 2, and 3. I'm almost through. Glory to God. Hallelujah, Jesus. Glory The word of God. The Bible says this, he says, watch this, and there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. Can I tell you something? The stem of Jesse, that's the lineage of Jesse and David that Jesus comes through. And because we're saved and born again, we are from the rod Jesse. We are that fruit that buds out of this rod. We come from the root of Jesus Christ, out of this lineage in the earth. Listen, so you could trace our history not just to Jesus, but we go past Jesus to Jesse and to Abraham. We're his— all this is in the same line. We're part of the generations of Jesus Christ. Roots. And we're the branch in the earth now that have grown out of his roots. At any time— and this, this text is, uh, very benevolent to the fact that when it talks about fruit, it's talking about giving. So we ought to be producing something that we can give to the world and they can partake of and say, this is God. He says a branch— say, I'm a branch. Say, I come from Jesus. Hallelujah. Watch this, verse number 2. He says, and the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. Verse 3. And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord, and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, or reprove or correct after what he hears, or the hearing of his ears. So verse 2 gives us clearly the 7 manifestations of the Holy Spirit. They're right there in verse 2. The first one is the Spirit of the Lord. So again, this is a spirit of Elohim, the God of gods, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. Elohim is the plurality of God, which means he's God of everything. So the spirit of the God that created heaven and earth is in us by way of the Holy Ghost. And one of the things we should be strategic at manifesting is the Spirit of the Lord in every situation. See, we— God can show up everywhere we are. It don't matter where you go, God can show up if you become dedicated to allowing the Spirit of the Lord. See, here's the problem: we got the spirit of people manifesting. We got the spirit of TD Jakes, we got the spirit of— oh, y'all are talking— Matthew Stevens, we got the spirit of Creflo Dollar. We got spirits of men showing up. I'm sorry, I don't want the spirit of TD Jakes. Great preacher, I don't want his spirit. I don't want that manifesting because that's limited. Oh boy, that's limited. I want the Spirit of God. To show up whenever I am in any situation, because there's no limits to the Spirit of God. Watch this. When the Spirit of the Lord is on board and you're moving through life, you have the creatorial power of God working with you too. So because the Spirit of the Lord is with you, you can create. You can speak to things that are not as though they were. You can call things into existence because you have the Spirit of the Lord on you. See, people in the Holy Ghost don't worry because they know God is living in them and they got the power to manifest the Spirit of the Lord. Yes, there's something going on with your relationship with the God that lives in you when you're operating in worry because you don't realize that you got the authority to open your mouth, align yourself, and manifest the Spirit of the Lord in any situation that you're in. Ah, that's a privilege of Holy Ghost-filled people, of people where God dwells, and people who dwell in God. You have the ability to manifest the Spirit of the Lord. I'm not talking— people go to church, so the Spirit of the Lord was there because they were bugging and shouting and the music was right, there was a hammer, there was drums. Listen, that don't necessarily mean the Spirit of the Lord was there. I don't believe a whole lot. I grew up Pentecostal and still very Pentecostal by nature, and but at the end of the day, I'd have been in a lot of places with a hammer beat, 3 drums, and there was no God. The organist was amazing, the drama was amazing, but God was not in the building because you had people who, one, were ignorant to the fact of what it really was to manifest the Spirit of the Lord. See, when the Spirit of the Lord manifests, stuff changes. A difference is made when the Spirit of the Lord comes forth. This is a manifestation of the Holy Ghost. When I got filled with the Holy Ghost, they just wanted me to speak in tongues. Nobody taught me after that that there was more stuff to really come. They taught me Galatians 5:22, the fruit of the Spirit, but nobody taught me nothing really else because they didn't know. Yeah, that initial evidence— you talking tongues, oh, you got it! Everybody got happy. I'll never forget the day I got filled. I shouted all over the church. I was speaking in tongues while the preacher was preaching. I— because they had the tarry service before the preacher preached. It was just how they did it that night. I was on the altar that particular— I haven't called on Jesus, but God knows how many Friday nights trying to get the Holy Ghost. Finally, this particular Friday night, I called him until I spoke in tongues. And when I spoke in tongues, I was shouting all over the church, speaking in tongues. I sat down, I was still. They would— you know how somebody be shouting too much, they be shouting them back to their seat. You ever seen them? And some of the people really, they don't be that caught up, but I really was. Glory to God, I was really that caught up. And I spoke in tongues, so they put me in the car, I was still speaking in tongues all the way home. I'm still talking in tongues. My tongue wasn't this mature, but I was talking in tongues. I got home, went to bed speaking in tongues, woke up the next morning, I was still speaking. I got it good. But that was even all of that. There's still more to this than tongues. Ah, and then the sad part, even with tongues in this day and time, there are some people who spoke in tongues when they got filled with the Holy Ghost and ain't spoke since. That's a problem. How you strong in the spirit and you don't pray in the spirit? Jude 20 says, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. So one of the ways to manifest the Spirit of the Lord is to be able to pray in He builds you up and gets involved and intercedes while you speaking. But think about this, I'm just taking a little rabbit trail, I'm gonna get back where I need to be, I promise you. Think about this, like this shoe I got on, when I went to the store to buy this shoe, I didn't go in there just looking for the tongue of this shoe. That would have been crazy to pay what I paid for the shoe and leave the store with just the tongue. The church, that's all they try to get is tongue, and then they don't use that no more. No, I wanted strings, I wanted leather, I wanted a sole, I wanted the colors, I wanted everything this you had on it. I wouldn't leave it with just the tongue. We gotta stop being satisfied with a small manifestation of what the Holy Ghost brings and get all of it. That's right. Oh, Mother in church used to tell us all the time, and it's so true, a dab won't do you. She used to say, you need a whole dunk. You need to get in there and get all of it, everything God has in it. The Spirit of the Lord is a manifestation of the Holy Ghost. Watch this. Secondly, the spirit of wisdom. I ain't never seen in my life more folk that say they got the Holy Ghost but just as dumb as two left shoes, have no wisdom. I'm not talking about book smart. You ain't got to have books smart. When you get the Holy Ghost, you inherit godly wisdom to make good decisions. Come on, man, you got the Holy Ghost and you listen to the person living in you, you'll make wise decisions. This word wisdom in Hebrew is hakma. Hakma is the proper application or use of knowledge. So it means you take what you know and you make application probably. I ain't never seen a group of people in my life that say they're saved than this generation of folk that say they're born again who have no godly wisdom. We'll do the same thing over and over again and keep getting the same old results and not operating wisdom to make changes. Holy Ghost give you sense. He give you spiritual intelligence is to apply what you know properly. If something has broke your heart a million times, why in the world would you keep running back to that same pain? You know that thing is, is dangerous. It has proved to you over and over again that it's gonna hurt you. Why you keep falling in the arms of that? That's not wisdom. You think because you prayed they gonna change? God's not gonna make them change. Even if you pray and he deal with them, they have to yield to the dealings of God. That's right. And if they refuse to yield to the dealings of God, they're not going to change. So you got to use wisdom. Hallelujah. I'll never forget, I've been saved a long time. My first Mercedes, first Mercedes I ever bought, I was 24 years old, traveling, preaching, just got out of school. Watch this. And I said, God gonna bless me with a Mercedes. Really couldn't afford this car, but my faith was crazy. But watch this, my wisdom was low. So I went out and bought the car because I could. I had the credit, I had the down payment. Bought the car, was able to maintain that note a couple of months. After a few months, that car was no longer a Mercedes, it became a mercy-sades. And I'm like, Lord, give me mercy to pay this note, Jesus, because I can't pay this note. And the Holy Spirit said to me just as clear, you, you're out of season. Them. And this was an unwise decision. So guess what I did? I lost it. I watched them put it on the truck, I wonder, and carry it back to wherever they took it. It got repossessed because I didn't move in wisdom. I wasn't making the money to afford it. I didn't have the doors open at that time to afford that kind of auto mobile, and I just wanted it because I thought I could get it. And I was able to get it, I got it, but it wasn't wise. Are y'all hearing this? The Bible said any man that enters into the kingdom, let him first count up the cost. That's wisdom. You'll just jump in and some without counting up the cost. You didn't know what it gonna cost you to be there. I know it's gonna cost me to be in this building. I know what it's going to cost me to do business every day in my business. I know what it's going to cost me to do everything I'm doing because I've counted up the cost. See, if you don't count the cost, you don't even know where you need faith then. That's right. I know what I got to believe God for because I counted the cost before I stepped in. And part of counting the cost is making sure that God validates creates it, and then he gives you wisdom on how to pursue it. Lord have mercy. Listen, that, that billboard we got, there's no way I would have got that billboard if I was paying $2,000 a month for it. That billboard is supposed to be— I hope they ain't watching so they go and try to change the contract or the price. I'm just too late, I got a contract. But the billboard should be like $2,000 a month. Well, as a church We can't pay that. So that means I'm gonna be paying that every month anyway, counting costs. I don't want to do that. But when God put his approval on it, I said, okay, God, you put in the price range, that's doable. And when he did it, gave us the bill of over $600 a month. That's a blessing from heaven. That don't happen nowhere. That don't happen nowhere. Glory to God. Some folk probably watch this, say, I can't wait till you get off it so I get this. I'm not going nowhere, glory to God, until the Lord tell me to go. Somebody said, yeah, you ain't gonna get that price, that's my price. Glory to God. God gave me favor right there, but it wouldn't have been wisdom if it was $2,000 a month. Are y'all hearing this? That's not wise. That's not wise for a church that doesn't even— that's small, doesn't even own his own building— to pay— be paying 2 grand a month for a billboard. That makes sense. It's not wisdom. Say the spirit of wisdom. Some things you ought to just learn to apply your knowledge differently when you got the Holy Ghost. All right, number 3, number 3, number 3. Watch this. The spirit of understanding. Oh, scripture says, in all you're getting, get an understanding. Understanding here in Hebrew is clarity. Clarity is freedom from ambiguity. It means you don't have two things sitting in front of you and you don't know which one to pick. When the Holy Ghost is there, you know exactly what to pick because he gives you clarity and understanding on what you're supposed to be involved in. Ah, God, you never caught between a rock and a hard place when you really got the Holy Ghost, because understanding and clarity manifests itself. The word is also defined within itself to stand under. So the spirit of understanding is also birthed out of standing under the tutelage or the instruction of the Holy Ghost. The Bible even says when you have the Spirit of God— watch this— you have no need of any man to teach you. That's the Bible. That means when you really are a student of the Holy Ghost— it's not saying you don't need leaders who teach and instruct. What it is saying is you will have the ability to receive confirmation of the things you're learning from the Holy Ghost. Glory to God. When the leader teaches, you could never be led astray. Because the Holy Ghost gives you understanding of scripture. Half of these people in the world today— Lord help us, God— don't even read the Bible, so they definitely don't have an understanding. They read timelines, they watch YouTube videos, they won't— they— oh my God, they read blogs, and half of them don't read that. They looking for pictures and videos. At the end of the day You can never get an understanding of God if you don't spend time with God. And the way you spend time with God, you got to get in his word. You've got to pick up your Bible, open up your phone, push that YouVersion app and open it up and read. I mean, not many people do that. The most engaged app to date for 2022 is Instagram, and it's actually still Instagram in 2022. In 20, Instagram is close behind them, but, and in 2021 it was Facebook. Facebook still has more users than everybody because people still will keep a Facebook account and just, just they be on the other stuff. So Facebook still has the user base, but the end of the day, people love TikTok now, but That Instagram has people hooked. People push according to the numbers. People push that Instagram app more than they push any other app on their phone. If they look at the screen time, young people are more TikTok people than older people. But Instagram, everybody loves Instagram because Instagram don't start even doing the same stuff. TikTok does with Reels. So people love that app. The least pressed app is the Bible app. That's not good. It means people are not reading the word. I'm not gonna be like the old preacher and then call Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat. I'm not gonna call it the devil, but it sure is an enemy to people studying the word because they have shifted their time— and I'm talking about the saints— to following icons and popular people on social media. And they don't know God because they spend time like this. Me and my wife be at dinner and we just count the people in the restaurant that's like this in their phone. That's a problem. You got a whole family of folks sitting at the table, everybody doing this. What y'all even at the table together for? Why did y'all even come to this restaurant? Y'all could have stayed at home in y'all separate rooms and scrolled y'all timelines. But that's a dangerous piece because We don't have clarity of God, his will, his plan, because we'll spend no time with him. We don't stand under him. Really, it's like to get under somebody. Uh, my wife will tell you, when my grandbaby Kelly comes to the house, she really cares less about anybody else than what they doing in the house. Because if I'm in the house, she's with me, she's around me. She, she— one, one day I was in my office in the house working, she came in the office have stayed there the whole day under me. And every move I make, she made. Everything I said, she was involved in because she has clarity of who I am to her. When we get that kind of clarity of who God is to us, when we pick up our phone, instead of having this proclivity to push Facebook first we'll push our Bible. Oh boy, I know we've all been guilty, but I work really hard now when I pick up my device to make sure something social media related is not the first thing I do, because I want to make sure that my life is not engulfed in this whirlwind that shifts me somewhere else and gets me off focus. Listen, the only desire the devil has in a fight with you is to break your focus. And people who don't have understanding are usually the people who have broken focus. The spirit of understanding is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Watch this, nothing ever catches you off guard because you move this sensitivity and this discernment that the Holy Spirit gives you. And, and not only you just feel it, but you know it, because he's in there for real, and he's communicating with you what you need to understand about the situation. I was doing a business deal with a guy, this
