A CALL TO ACTION | APOSTLE MIKE WOODS | 27 OCTOBER 2024

Apostle Mike Woods calls 2024 the "Year of Action," urging listeners to move from belief to concrete deeds. He outlines a personal-growth system covering emotions, ego, physical health, finances, and spiritual disciplines, including a 21-day consecration that eliminates sugar. Woods promises a 100-fold return on seed-giving to Rhoda Church's new worship building.
Chapters
Well, grace and peace be multiplied to each one of you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What's up, family? This is Apostle Mike Woods. For those of you who are uninitiated, and welcome to our Sunday night time of fellowship and teaching. Listen, I'm so glad tonight is very special. I believe that this message we're going to share, glory to God, is going to be number one very transformational if you take the principles that are released and actually imply them. You know, there are people that go to church to have a good time. There are people that go to church to have fun. I'm totally different. I need to hear something I can apply so it actually transforms my life. I believe revelation, information without application, for real, is constipation. So tonight I need you to extrapolate every ounce revelation and information you possibly can out of this message. Write it down, let it get in your spirit, listen to it again, let it build your faith, and then I need you to apply it. Tonight we're gonna take a throwback to the beginning of the year. I taught a very apostolic and prophetic message entitled A Call to Action, and I believe that call is still in the atmosphere, and God is calling you to to action, to do things different so you can get different results. Some of you have to change geography so you can get different results. We declared at the beginning of the year— I don't know if you remember— that 2024 would be the year of action. And so there are some things in order to begin to see the results that you want to see in your life, in your ministry, in your business, in your family, you got to take different actions. So let's jump into this tonight and listen, man, I need you to hear and receive. Don't scroll, guys. As a matter of fact, share this right now. Somebody needs it. Let's go into this message. Glory to God. And I promise you, you're going to be blessed. You're called to action.
Yes, Lord. You are my shelter. You are my strength. You are a very present help in times of need. You are my fortress, Jesus. My everything. You are the only thing that matters, Lord. It's all about you. Y'all believe it's all about you?
Amen.
Thank you, Lord. I want to jump right into this. Um, I want to share with you what the Lord gave me. For today. I had in my mind that I was going to preach something else today, and I thought that was the word the Lord wanted me to share today. And I got in the car to drive from Orlando this morning. We got in the car about 6 AM, I guess, and I started out driving. About an hour and 30 minutes in, this sleep came over me that was totally crazy. I mean, I I'm like, why am I so sleepy, right? And so I told Felicia, I said, you need to drive. So, and I thought it was just so I can get some sleep, but I didn't sleep much. I got on the other side and the Lord started talking to me. So, uh, we start typing notes in our phone and whatever the Lord said we put here. So we're just going to prophetically plow through this today.
Amen.
I believe that this is going to be a year, 2024, of action. Say that with me. Say, the year of action.
The year of action.
I believe some of the things that, whether you're here or watching out there, they have not manifested in your life, they probably haven't manifest because of a lack of action. You can talk about it, You can think about it, you can believe it, but if you don't take action, things will never change. Matter of fact, you can have all the faith that there is, but if there's no action behind that faith, the thing you're believing for will never happen. You can know the Bible from COVID to cover, but if you don't apply it to your life You'll never inherit the promises in between the pages.
Touch yourself.
Say, I must be a person of action. And I believe that as we take action this year, God is going to meet us inside of action. So I want to start teaching something today that I'm going to be talking about all year, probably. And it's simply this: it's a call to action.
Say that with me. Say, a call to action.
Now let's go to Hebrews 11, and I'm not going to be long today. I just— I'm just going to sound like this is going to be real long, but it's not going to be long. It's going to sound long. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Hebrews 11, verse number 6. This is going to be the foundation of this entire teaching. I will not touch this this much today, but this is the substratum of this whole message that we're going to be talking about as long as the Lord will have us. The Bible says this, Hebrews 11:6, it says, but without faith— say without faith. And we know the word faith, the Greek word is pistis, and it means to be totally confident.
Say that with me, say totally confident, totally reliant Totally dependent upon that you believe. So whatever you believe in, you totally rely on it, you're totally confident in it, you totally depend on it. So if I'm walking by faith, I am walking according to everything God says, and I believe him, I depend on it. Well, how many know there are many times we say we believe and we get outside of the lines of what we say faith is, and we really don't believe it because our actions don't show that we believe it.
I'm gonna keep reading.
He says, without faith—
watch this—
it is impossible to please God. I want you to take note here.
He didn't say without tongues.
He didn't say without prophecy. He didn't say without prayer. He didn't say without gifts of the Spirit. He didn't say without apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists. He said without faith. Because guess what? You can be none of those things if you don't have faith. Again, faith is substratum of everything we do. If you're, if you're an apostle, a prophet, an evangelist, a pastor, teacher with no faith, you're not going to be very effective. If you're praying with no faith, you're not going to be effective. Your prayers are just going to be words. And my opinion is You might as well not pray if you ain't gonna believe when you pray. Remember, Jesus, he agrees with me. He says, believe when you pray that you receive what you ask. So while I'm asking him for it, I should be believing it. Such as I say, I believe God. I believe God said this year I'm taking my faith to new dimensions. And you know, as your faith increases, the pleasure you bring God increases. I don't know about you, but the more you walk with God and the more he requires of you, sometimes you feel like you let God down because God is so vast, he's so big, and some of the things he requires— I don't know about you, but of me, I know humanly I'm not capable. Amen. And I need him to help me. At the end of the day, I have to believe that he's going to give me the capacity to fulfill what he says to me. Say, I'm increasing my faith. I'm increasing my faith. And when I increase my faith— say it— I increase my pleasure toward him.
Watch this. He said, but he that cometh to God must believe that he is. So again, wait a minute, if I don't believe that God is real, why am I coming to him anyway?
We got to believe him. So I'm almost step 2. Go. I gotta believe that he's God for real. He's not some fairy tale as some people would like to depict him. He's not a tree.
Y'all gotta talk to me here. And some of these people said God is everything, he could be a tree, a rock.
No, he's not. He's God and he's real.
And if you ever get to know him, you'll know just how really he is.
You got to believe that he is, and that he is— I love this part— a rewarder. Say, there's some rewards for me. Come on, say it. Say, there's rewards for me that I must claim. It's just like, uh, I think the Powerball is almost a billion.
Again, right?
18.
Huh? Somebody said 18. They like me, they've been watching the Bible.
I ain't been watching it to play it unless the prophet— see, I got, I got a problem with some of these prophets. You that accurate? Because see, I'm scared of you, you too accurate anyway. Because the Bible said we know in part. Y'all ain't got to say nothing to me. But if you can tell me my name, my address, and my phone number— right, right— I know that already. Let's get them 6 numbers and the Powerball. Since you can see my Social Security number, my phone number, my address, you so good at seeing numbers, show me them numbers. Cuz if I keep those numbers, I'm not gambling at that point. Oh, y'all ain't got to talk to me. It ain't gambling if I know I'm going to win, right? I don't care what you say, judge me. I'm going to spend that billion dollars by myself then, cuz I'm telling you, the prophet come to me and tell me I got the number, I'm going to play it. I got to say, I'm gonna take the blessing however it comes. What I was about to say, if, if that happens and I'm gonna play it, and perhaps I'm not watching when they're pulling the balls and I don't check my ticket, all right, my money is just sitting there. I've already got the reward and I have to go take the ticket and claim it. Can I tell you there's a reward that comes from God, and you need to show up this year and claim what's yours. I love that word. The word reward means mis— uh, podariz in Greek. It means that God who— the God who pays wages. Watch this— in faith. So he looks at your faith and he blesses according to what you believe. So I got some rewards coming. He's a rewarder of them that diligently— is the action— seek him. That's right.
Diligent is a title in Greek which means to pursue hard after with uninterrupted focus, which means this year I'm not letting nothing distract me.
I'm telling you, you got to make up your mind. I'm not going to miss it to the left or to the right, and I'm letting nothing distract me from what God says is mine. I'm going to diligently seek, sitto, go after him. Come on, Pastor. You got to make up your mind. It doesn't matter who it is. Some people you got to just leave behind. All right, all right. You only got to say— everybody can't go where God is taking you. Everybody's not qualified for the blessing that God's about to release in your life this year. And you got to decide, I'm going to be diligent. Diligent people have a bulldog-type tenacity. They're aggressive. They bite into something and they don't let it go until they get it. And I'm telling you, if God promised it, you got to diligently decide this year, I'm going to get what belongs to me. Yes, I think— thank you, Lord.
He's a rewarder. Thank you, Lord. So I got to take action.
Thank you, Lord.
Go after this thing. I can't just sit here and wait for it to fall out of the sky. I'm here to tell you, it ain't falling out of the sky.
There's no more manna.
I'm going to say it again: no more manna. In the Old Testament, the Israelites getting manna from heaven, but God ended that dispensation when they went into the promised land. Okay, ain't nobody asked you. Hallelujah.
Say no more, man. So I got a promise that's already mine. Thank you.
So this, this message today is a call to action. I'm gonna give you a few points, write these down, and then we're gonna get into this heavy.
Firstly, inaction, which means doing nothing, breeds doubt and fear.
Inaction, I-N-A-C-T-I-O-N, breeds doubt.
If you've been—
the reason, reason you doubt and fear when it's time for you to get done what you got to get done because you're not doing anything. But you got to stay busy. Say, I gotta stay busy.
So I gotta get it done.
And if I really was using a subtopic for this message, that's what I would call this: let's get it done.
Let's not talk about it, let's get it done. The reason you're afraid is because you're not moving in the vein. The reason you doubt, because you haven't stepped out there and seen what God is able to do. Sometimes you're not going to know what God can do until you get in it with nothing. And this year you're gonna have to jump into some things with both feet. Are y'all hearing this? And you're gonna have to trust God when you can't see him. And you gotta decide, I will not doubt, cause doubt and fear are in— eh, to faith. Faith and fear can't even stay in the same place together. So you gotta decide, I'm gonna take action, because action— write this down— breeds confidence and courage. When you take action, you develop confidence, you develop faith. You become fearless. You know how I know that?
Because I've done it so many times.
Even when you fall on your face, you get up, dust yourself off, and you keep going because you're confident that God's got you. You're confident that you're not alone. See, if you really want to conquer doubt, conquer fear, stop sitting at home being lazy, thinking about it.
That ain't for y'all to hear, it's for them out there.
Get up off of your glutinous maximus.
Y'all hear me?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And do something. Yes. Thank you, Lord. Get busy. Yes, yes.
And so some of the people in this room are too young to remember the Arsenio Hall Show.
Uh-huh, uh-huh. But Arsenio Hall, after his monologue, he say, let's get No, you'll see.
Too young, y'all.
Too young. He said, let's get busy. And that, that means the show is about to start. Just, just look at somebody, say, let's get busy. Let's take action this year. Some of the things— and I can admit some of the things this year that I was supposed to do, that God told me he would do through me, didn't happen because I either got distracted or I pushed it to the side and said, we're just going to do something else. And so it creates delays and it slows down the process when you don't align yourself in obedience and take action.
Listen to this: you cannot serve others with an empty vessel. Touch your belly and say, I cannot serve others with an empty vessel. So you gotta get busy filling yourself up. Watch this.
You can't give because people need you with empty hands.
Are you hearing me?
And you can't show up for others— listen to this— when you don't show up for yourself.
I'm gonna say that one more time.
You cannot serve others when you're empty. You cannot give with empty hands. You cannot serve to the highest of your capacity the purpose of the assignment that you've been called to serve and show up in that assignment when you don't show up for you.
What's the lesson there? Take care of your body. I hear this. This year you got to take care of your body. Don't just say you're going to do it, just don't be at the gym the first 2 weeks of this, of this month.
You need to decide this year you going to take care of your body. Decide this year you going to eat right, cuz you can't fulfill your purpose if your vessel is broke down. See, when you're a person of action doing what you created to do, Oh boy, here we go. You, you concerned about how long you gonna be, right? So you do the best things for your body so you can stay here and finish. If you die before your assignment is complete, that's murder. We need to stop saying that funerals— well, it was their time, the Lord took them down.
It was them hamburgers every day.
Lord ain't took them, it was ribs. It was all that fried fish. All that fried chicken.
And then we be thinking that we can just pray, Lord, take the grease out of it.
He ain't taking the grease out of it. Are y'all hearing me? Yeah, yeah, you need to be wise. I'm not saying you can't eat that, but you got to take care of your vessel. Yeah, yeah, that's right. You got to nourish yourself. Are y'all hearing me today? Yes, yes. Secondly, you got to take care of your finances because there are going to be things you're going to have to give to others to help them. Your money starts looking at you, looking for you when you get an attitude to be a giver. If you don't have an attitude to give, money ain't gonna come to you. Money comes to those that want to bless others with it. All right.
Oh, y'all ain't—
we're blessed to be a blessing.
And then take care of your spiritual health. You need to pray every day. You need to worship every day. You need to study every day.
You cannot let up off of this, not one day. We're gonna start our 21-day consecration on January 9th. It's gonna set the tone for the rest of the year for you, because the last 14 days is going to be real tough. Because we're gonna have— we're gonna take it easy the first 7, but the last 14, it's gonna be tough because it's gonna create discipline in you, not only to pray and study But even in how you eat, these 21 days we're gonna take all the sugar out of our diet.
Oh, y'all ain't got to say nothing.
Hopefully by the time it's over, you won't be addicted to it anymore. You realize there's more people addicted to sugar than there are drugs. So not only do we want to get the spiritual benefit of this fast, we want to get the benefit of what it's going to do for our vessel. 'Cause when we're strong naturally, spiritually, financially, mentally, we can go ahead and serve others.
So it's a call to action. Two type calls you read about in the Bible. One is the word kaleo, which is an outcall to everybody. God has called those of us that are saved to be saved. Every person is called to be be saved. Bob said before the foundation of the world you were predestined to be saved.
So that call went out. You didn't come to God, he brought you to him. He found you. Are y'all hearing this? He chose you.
I know you thought you came to church and came down in a high moment and gave your life Jesus.
It was all part of a plan. The Bible said no man comes to the Father except he—
sugkuro in Greek— draw them, which the Greek word means to drag them.
Because many of us was kicking and screaming, we didn't want to get saved. But when it was time for you to come to God, he dragged you in. Are y'all hearing this? It's not because you wanted him. He had already chosen you. That's not kaleo. That's the outcall. We're predestined to be saved. He loved you when you didn't love yourself. Are y'all hearing this? He cared for you when you didn't care for yourself. While you was yet a sinner, he died for you.
Good God, while you were doing everything you wanted to do, he was loving you the whole time. I mean, you was—
you were dead wrong to the left, and God was like, I yet love you. You all say thank God for loving me, because I'm telling you right now, it could have been the other way. Cuz there's some people that ain't predestined. Predestined means he decided before you got here. There's some people that will never be saved.
That's why hell has enlarged himself.
And it's not God for the inclusionists that's throwing people in hell. It's the lifestyle and the rejection of God that people are choosing that they go to hell. When God predestined you and you reject him, that's how you get there. He become your whole life and you still don't accept it. But thank God for the outcall, which means he summons you to action.
That's what a call is, a summons to action. But here's another one you read in the Greek, klētos. Klētos is a personal call based on an authentic reservation that God has reserved for you alone.
There's an assignment, there's a purpose that only you can do. There's something nobody else can perform but you. Say that with me, something unique. Authentic. Say I'm vintage. Say I am called to action. So action is the process of being active, it's being involved, it's being engaged with instructions or assignments and carrying them out as given. So taking action is not doing it the way you want to do it. Are y'all hearing me? It's doing it the way God says do it. You don't get to choose how you do it. Touch yourself. Say, I gotta do it this way. So if you— if I broke the call down in 5 parts, Genesis 1:28—
I don't have time to preach it.
Matter of fact, y'all can read it later, but it says, be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue the earth and have dominion in the earth. So here's the call to action. First is to serve others and make the world better. Say, I'm here to serve others and make the world better. Listen to this, that's being fruitful. The scripture says be fruitful, not do fruitful, be fruitful. We are human beings, not human doings. So being fruitful means I become a seed that's sown into this world. Glory to God. So I can bring forth fruit after my kind. That's why he said be fruitful, multiply. So you ought to be multiplying people who are in your influence or in your sphere of DNA. That means you will reproduce other people of like passion. I want to challenge you this year to heed the call, that next year this time you can look back over your shoulder and say— and just look around you and look at your culture and see that you reduced, oh my God, yourself from yourself, and you reproduced people after your kind. Can I tell you something? There's some souls who are predestined to be saved that are assigned to your voice. Oh boy, you gotta find them and you gotta sow yourself into them. That's how the multiplication happens.
Oh God.
When we begin to multiply consistently—
watch this— we become the Earth's, or the human realm's, source of supply. We must become the humans that the world looked to for counsel, for guidance, for resources. We can't do that if we're not being fruitful.
If all we're doing is coming to church and having good church What happens when we do this? We make God's way of operation irresistible to the world.
Right now, people don't want to go to church. It's resistible on a lot of levels, right? Because people look at the character of leaders. I prophesied at the beginning of this year that we will see major leaders exposed. I prophesied it right in his room 2 weeks ago. We still are seeing it. His reality— we got to become the church for real so that when people looks at us, they see God. They see something different than them.
If we're just like them, They don't want to be a part of that. They just stay out there, keep doing what they're doing. So we need to set a standard, raise the paw line, and give them something that's irresistible. When we see power and miracles and breakthrough, that makes the church irresistible. But not only that, when we balance that thing out, and when we leave the church, they see you prospering. And they see you living well, oh my God, it becomes irresistible.
Touch yourself, say, just declare, say, I'm irresistible. Sounds good, don't it? Hallelujah.
Say it again, say, I'm irresistible. Say, I live according to God's way.
See, when we do these things, when we when we serve others, make the world better, when we reproduce others with like passion, when we become Earth's system of supply, when we make God's way of doing things irresistible, here's what happens. We take over every kingdom of the world. The Bible said the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of my God in Christ. That cannot happen if we just churchgoers. It ain't gonna happen. You got to be out there subduing kingdoms. So how do we get this done, Michael Woods? I'm glad you asked. How do we heed this call? How do we move into it? Go to Philippians 4, verses number 6 and 7, because I believe to effectively manifest this call to action and to help others experience their best year ever while we're experiencing our best year ever, we gotta master these areas of individual action. So before we even get into corporate action, we gotta master these areas of individual action in ourselves. I'm not gonna be long, I'm almost through, believe it or not. And because I'm just going to really give you the structure of what this looks like, don't come back and teach all of these. Philippians 4:6 says, be not anxious about nothing, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God. My God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in in Christ Jesus. So the first area we got to master individually to get this thing done, to be people of action, you got to take action in this area.
First area, you got to master your emotions. Oh boy, say, I got to master my emotions. I got to master my emotions. Most of the time we're emotional about things because we're anxious about Oh boy, well, I pray you're actually getting something out of this teaching tonight.
Oh my God, it's, uh, it's a blessing. And we'll get back where we're going to really dive into, uh, action toward your emotions and dealing with your emotions and the emotional— I mean, this is going to be— it's going to bless you. So do not leave, stay right here. I broke in for a moment because I wanted tonight to challenge you in your giving. I don't want you to scroll. Please don't scroll. Listen, because I already realized some of you, you're not gonna give no matter what I say. So at the end of the day, I get it. It's— this is for those that understand that the exchange system between heaven and earth is your giving and your receiving. Listen, we are just days now away from moving into our new worship space, and I am super excited. We started at a goal, glory to God, and we have broke that goal down to right at about $5,000 now. And listen, I need your support. Glory to God! So that we can go into this building with no debt. Our first service in the building will be Friday, November the 1st. Glory to God! Which will be the kickoff service for our Supernatural Harvest Weekend. We're believing God for increase, breakthrough, because as we shape things prophetically with our mouth, as we speak the word, we're believing God that there's going to be a manifestation of harvest that will flow into our life over those 3 days. And listen, I need your support to take action and get seed in the ground now. The ways to give are on the screen. There are 5 ways you can give to Rhoda Church. Uh, someone is also probably typing those ways to give in the comments. We need your support because we want to— we want the testimony testimony that we owe no man anything for anything we needed to move into this building. And listen, I want to thank those of you who have been so supportive, uh, since we started. We were well over $35,000 we needed, very close to $40,000 actually, uh, when we started this journey. Now we're right at a little over $5,000. We need your help. Glory to God. Get your seed in the ground tonight. Let me pray with you now because I'm believing God that as you sow, the word will be manifested to you in this season. You know, the Bible says, glory to God, in the book of Genesis that Isaac sowed. Hallelujah. And in the same season he reaped a 100-fold because God blessed him. I want to pray that over you tonight, for real.
Some—
sometimes, you know, I think people don't believe the Bible, so they just don't do stuff. But when you— I'm telling you, in the same season, this word says that Isaac was blessed from his giving 100-fold. So, so what does that mean? That means, uh, that's 100 That's 1,000%, 10,000%. That's actually what it is. So if you give $10, that $10 comes back as $1,000. If you give $1,000, my God, that comes back as a hun— my God, $100,000. Yo, you get it. It's a hundredfold return in the same year. Listen, I want to pray that what you sow for us, what you make happen for others, God will make happen for you. What you sow Soul Ferrata Church and our ministry tonight, I'm trusting God that in this season, before— hear me— before 2024 would end, you would reap a hundredfold return. Because not because Michael Woods blessed you, but because God blessed you. And I'm telling you, God is in the blessing business and he wants to bless you. And listen, up and above your tithe. Tonight I need every person that will sacrifice a seed, a tithe of the year 2024. A tithe of that number, glory to God, is $200.24. Would you consider getting that seed in the ground? And if you don't have that, I want you to get your best sacrifice. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' Yahshua's name. Your word said that Abraham— I'm sorry, that Isaac sowed and he reaped 100-fold in the same season. He reaped, oh my God, 10,000% on his seed. I decree and declare tonight that as your people move in obedience, Father, that they will reap 100-fold in this season. Now God, I know there'll be people who will trust in themselves and hover over their money and their resources, and they'll never trust you with their money because— and this is why they'll remain stuck. Father, we understand that. But for those that are under the sound of my voice tonight who understand what it means to be liberal, what it means to be sacrificial, what it means to make something happen for someone else. I'm asking you, God, as they release their seed tonight, God, as they move in obedience to your word, God, that you will multiply their seed, my God. Hallelujah! A hundredfold, 10,000% in this season, even before 2024 would end. I decree and declare it now. In Jesus' name, it is done. Amen and amen. My God, I believe it. You need to receive it. Once again, the ways to give are now on the screen. Get your seed in the ground and watch this. I want you to walk in expectancy of God doing a great thing in your life. Listen, I love you guys. Y'all be blessed. Let's get back in this word, man. It's a call to action.
The scripture says be anxious for nothing. Most people are emotional about stuff because they want too much too fast. They want things that God did. I don't want anything that God didn't give me. I don't want a friend that God didn't give me. I don't want— yeah, I, I don't want to be around people that I'm not supposed to be around if God didn't ordain that.
Are you listening to this?
You— some of us are anxious for things. We're trying to make something happen that ain't going to happen, and then we get emotional about it when it doesn't. I'mma tell you something, this year you got to stop being a baby. Crying about every little thing that comes up. W, w, w, w. Every time something happen, listen, grow up and get your emotions in check. Okay, I'mma preach this camera because that's not these people here. Listen, I need y'all to understand, you got to be mature up Woman up, man up, put your big girl panties on, put your big boy drawers on, and decide I'm not going to be anxious for nothing. But when something arise, I'm going to take this thing to God in prayer. Are y'all hearing this? The scripture said, he said, every situation, whatever comes up, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He said, take this thing to God. Stop whining about it, pray about it. Stop complaining about it and pray about it. Get some faith. Watch this. Never complain about what you permit. I'm gonna say it one more time. Never complain about what you permit. If you are allowing it, shut up about it. You don't get to complain about something you're letting happen. Okay, I was on vacation this week.
I'm good and rested. Y'all ain't got to say nothing to me.
I prayed before I got here. All right, glory to God. Listen, I'm not preaching for amens.
I'm just trying to tell you the truth.
I'm trying to help you have your best year ever. All right, thank you, thank you for that, thank you for that. He said every prayer and petition with thanksgiving. So you woke up in prayer knowing that it's already done. The only thing is, when you petition God, you go in worshiping and praising that what you are about to ask for has already been done. Why are you going to prayer with doubt? But you got to take an individual— get your— God is not moved by your tears. Come on now, come on. I prayed in the crowd. I prayed and I cried, and I've been praying and crying for years, and God still ain't worked it out. He ain't going to work it out because he's looking for faith.
He's looking for somebody that rejoices in the fact that this thing is already complete. So I got to master my emotions.
God says when you do this, verse 7, he said the peace of God The presence of God's assistance—
that's peace, not the absence of confusion.
The presence of God will transcend all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind, which means the presence of God will keep your emotions under control.
I'm gonna give you 6 steps real quick to master your emotions. Write them down because I'm losing y'all, so I'm only just go on and teach this.
Number 1, you got to identify the emotion. You got to identify that negative emotion as an action signal. So when you feel a negative emotion arise, that's an action signal for you to take action against that.
Are y'all hearing me?
Yes. Instead of letting it fester, if something makes you angry, you need to start examining you. What action do I need to take? Why am I angry about this? Come on now, come on. Yes, yes. 9 times out of 10, we're angry not because of what somebody did. We're really angry at ourselves.
Oh, y'all don't like this.
That's okay. See, when you expose yourself in the emotion, it gives you the power to defeat it. All right, all right, come on. But if you keep blaming everybody else for why you're feeling the way you feel—
come on now, let me, let me give you this. You don't get to allow others to make you feel guilty about what they're doing to themselves.
So there are some people who are doing things to themselves, right? Come on. And they'll try to make you feel guilty about something they're doing to theyself. And you ain't got nothing to do with what they're doing to themselves. I'm telling you something, you better— you got to own your stuff.
Oh Lord.
And you got to make up in your mind, I want to be free, so I'm gonna take action. I'm not gonna blame somebody else because I'm sad. If you said that's your own fault, you got to take control over your emotion. When God said the fruit of the Spirit is joy, why you sad? And you got the Holy Ghost in your life. He lives in you.
Oh God. And then going to have to learn to be singing, he has made me glad, he has made me glad. I will rejoice for he has made me glad. Just be safe.
And as soon as somebody make you mad, you forget that song.
You be singing some, something else.
I'm going to keep you. Yeah, the reality is you got to unmask that emotion. And stop letting people push you there. Come on now, come on, help me, help me. Yeah, yeah, I was down in Florida a couple of times this week.
Yes, I just— I guess sometimes being around people, because I'm— my wife tell you, most of the time I'm just an isolated dude. I do what I do by myself most of the time. But, uh, so we went out to see The Color Purple. Group of us. I had bought like 7, 9 seats. We get to the movies, somebody in our seats. So my wife immediately knows that it's about to be a problem. So I hear her under her breath, Shakin' de Dabassa.
I'm saying to myself, ain't no need talking in tongues. They finna get up out my seats. So I got— I said, excuse me, sir, these— this—
most of this row belongs to us and we need our seats.
So again, the man is trying to make me feel guilty.
About what he's doing to himself. He said, why are you talking to me like that? He's African, so why are you talking to me like that? I said, sir, I just want our seats. I said, these are— he goes for his phone to show me. I said, no, no, I have these seats. I just need you to relocate. But you don't have to talk to me like that. So everybody's now seen me getting bit out of shape. They said, well, we'll just take these up. No, I'm like, no, we don't take nothing else. We're gonna take these seats we paid for. I need you, sir, to get up.
But I had to because that could have went real bad for him. He was about to be cast in the Color Purple. He'd have been part of the film, but I had to control— are y'all hearing this— that emotion. Because I'm going to say, you African man, you don't get up out of my seat.
So I just, you know, and then people that was with him said, those are not your seats, just get up and move.
And what they were doing was movie hopping. They had already seen another movie and then came in, so you all the way out of order. So, and acting like you about to pick up your phone. I'm trying to tell you, listen, if that could have went real bad if I didn't control my emotions.
Are y'all hearing me?
Second, I gotta identify the emotion.
I would call him back to Atlanta and said, I need bail money, I'm in.
Oh, so I gotta identify the emotion. Number 2, here we go. You got to appreciate—
watch this—
and clarify the message. So once you identify the emotion, you got to clarify what the emotion is trying to tell you. Once you identify, you gotta identify the value of that emotion and clarify what it's trying to tell you about you. It's your trying to push that on somebody else. When you were emotional, it's trying to tell you something about you. Touch yourself, say, my emotions will speak to me. Because at the basic level, what your emotions are doing when negative emotions arise is telling you something you need to change. That's right. So this year, 2024, when the attacks come and you identify the emotion, instead of reacting to the attack, clarify what the message is.
What can you learn from how you want to react so you can mature?
Number 3, write it down: you got to get curious. Get curious about how you really want to feel instead of that emotion. Why? You got to start asking yourself questions. Why do I feel like this? How do I really want to feel? I don't want to be angry. I don't want to fight. I don't want to yell. I want to be mad. I don't want to be upset. Ask yourself, get curious. Just start saying something to yourself like, what do I need to do? What do I need to believe to feel better, to feel different? Pick up your Bible, talk to God.
Don't just accept that emotion. Watch this, number 4, write it down. I'm trying to show you how to master these negative emotions.
Individual action.
You got to become confident— watch this— about past success. So you got to think back to a specific time when you successfully dealt with with a similar emotion. And that's really what I did, and I do a lot of that helping me with people. I go back to times where I had the same thing come up and I defeated it. You got to go back to your testimony and how God brought you over in the past.
Are y'all hearing this? Yes, yes.
I love the Lord. Say, I can defeat negative emotions. Say, I did it before, I can do it again. Here's number 5: you got to be certain that God will help you— watch this— master the emotion, because you're not by yourself.
If you talk to him, he'll help you. There's a space between stimulus and response. So when you're stimulated, go to the space, talk to God before you respond. He'll help you master the emotion. Yeah, yeah. You know, if you know you emotional in certain areas and you're about to deal with something, you got to get a vision on how you're going to deal with it when you're in that person's presence or when you're dealing with that certain issue, if it arises.
Going around my family, I'm pretty emotional.
I love my family, but I'm almost— I got these emotional issues because of how I grew up in my dad's house.
And a lot of things they don't see it, they don't really expect me to feel that way. Because they went on the receiving end of it.
I loved it. But at the end of the day, I have to— whenever I go to his house, whenever there's a family gathering, I have to adjust my emotions. So just in case somebody say or do the wrong thing, I ain't up in there flying off. Y'all hear me? Have to bring those thoughts into captivity. I have to get a vision that when I walk through these doors, I'm gonna move in peace no matter what anybody says or do, no matter how they look at me. Uh, there was one time, uh, Felicia, that she, she, she—
y'all pray for the First Lady because she ain't master how people deal with me.
So there was something that happened one time a couple of years back.
We went to the house, uh, and I have 1, 2, 3— I have 3 grandchildren that are grandchildren of my father. And so all the other— his other grandkids were there, and we were there, and we just— we went over Christmas like just as a visit like we normally would. And so they were celebrating, everybody passing out gifts gifts and exchange. Of course, I bring elaborate gifts, so I'm giving out my gifts.
And Felicia has a problem.
I've already got a vision. They ain't gonna give you nothing. I didn't go to receive nothing.
I got here— it is— I went to give, and I already have a vision of who I was dealing with, and I knew that they're gonna steal my joy when I left out of there because they didn't give me nothing. Because it wasn't about me. But my wife saw this for the first time and she was like, I can't believe they did that. She's like, it took everything in me to hold my tongue. She was ready, man. But I told her, I've learned to cast vision, that I'm not gonna let nothing steal my joy. And see, when you got control of your emotions Nobody can take who God has made you. Oh boy, you got to know who you are, and you got to know the value you have to him. Oh my God, you got to know. Watch this, I, I posted this. God gave me this revelation earlier this week. I was playing golf. The reality is you got to know the power of value and places. You got to know, praise the name of God, that in some places where you're not valued, it doesn't matter. Shake the dust from your feet. Just change places so you can get the value that you deserve. Are y'all hearing this? You could go to Kroger and buy a bottle of water for $1 to somebody when they got it on sale with your Kroger Plus card. You go to the airport, that same bottle is $5. Same to somebody, $5. Go to a hotel, $3. What's the difference? Same bottle, same brand, change of place. The place changed its value. You got to decide, I'm going to be where I'm valued. And you handle people that don't value you for who you are— it's not their fault, they just can't see your value. Where there's no revelation, there's violation. If I have not been revealed to people, they're gonna violate me. If you have not been revealed to people, that's why they violate you. And you got to learn to hold your peace and let the Lord fight your battle. Y'all ain't talking to me here. You gotta learn to be still and know that he is God. And then no matter what people do, you ain't gonna move me out of this place. You ain't gonna steal my joy. You ain't You ain't gonna make me quit. You ain't gonna make me give up. I will not stop being anointed because you can't see who I am. I will not— oh my God— go back and lose my mind and walk with low self-esteem another day in my life because I know who I am. Let's let somebody say, I am who God says I am. So number 6, if you want to master negative emotion, glory to God, you gotta be excited and you gotta take action. Which means you gotta be so excited that you do something right away, immediately when you feel the emotion. That shows you can master the emotion, even if it's opening your mouth, saying, Satan, the Lord rebuke you, I will not go there. Glory to God, I got the power over this. And you got to learn. See, I grew up fighting, man. I grew up in a neighborhood where I had to fight for my lunch money, fight to keep my shoes, fight. I mean, we had crazy folks. We're gonna read no book, but we're trying to steal your books.
Y'all not talking.
Just to intimidate you. So I had to fight for everything. So fight is in me. Glory to God. And there was a time in my life I would walk around this big red button. Now I wish you would.
That button I said, I wish you would.
I wish you would do something to me. I wish you would be in my seats. I wish you would talk about me because I'm gonna get you.
But I've learned to master that, and I'm excited that I can master, that I got control.
Glory to God.
The second thing you got to take individual action— and I'm coming, I'm quickly coming to a close—
is your ego.
Ah, you're gonna have to take some action and get that ego in check. Ego is the Latin word— are y'all ready—
for I.
It's the Latin word for I. I is the middle letter of every word that separates us or disconnects us from from God. S-I-N. Because of your sin, you're separated from God.
Pride.
P-R-I-D-E. The Holy Spirit comes before destruction.
Y'all hear me?
You gotta check your ego at the door. E-G-O. Edging God out, which means it's about you. You're self-absorbed. And God said you have to make up in your mind, this ain't about me, it's about his business, it's about his plan, it's about his desire for my life.
So I gotta get my ego in check. Watch this, I'm gonna tell you why.
Proverbs 22:4. Because watch this, when you see people that begin every sentence with I, watch them. Because that's a sign that they got a big ego and everything in their world is about them. Ah, come before a fall. Watch this. The reward of humility— this is how you deal with it. You have to humble yourself. The reward of humility and fear of the Lord— listen to this. Is riches and honor and life. So God says, if I humble myself and fear him and reverence him, and I have an ego, he said, I'll give you riches. I can trust you with them because you won't flaunt them to make people feel bad. It won't be all about you. You'll be blessed to be a blessing. He says, I'll give you honor among your world, and I'll give you long life. Word life is long life. Egotistical people don't live long. That's why you got to choose to humble your mother. A lot of them get shot, or they die from stress because they make everything about them. But life is not about you. It's not about me. What we do for God is not about us, it's about him. So I gotta get my ego in check. That's what happens when you got a bad ego, and you, you could be walking in heavenly places with a bad ego and get kicked out. Isaiah 14, verses 12 and 13, it says, how are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! So Lucifer, the son of the morning, he was the worshiping angel, the chief worshiping angel, that whenever God needed worship, he would call for Lucifer, and Lucifer would lead the entire host of heaven in worship. His wings had instruments in them. God asked the question, said, hey, how you falling from heaven? I want to know that too.
You in heaven, how do you get kicked out? That's dumb.
I mean, that really is dumb. You already in heaven, we working hard to get to heaven, and you get kicked out. Here's what happens. He said, how you cut down to the ground? You who weaken the nations, but you have said in your heart— here we go— I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, on the farthest sides of the north, and I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, and I will be like the Most High. Ego. His gift exalted him above measure. Can I tell you something? I'll move to the next one. You got to master this because I'm gonna come back and just teach a whole message on ego. Never think more highly of yourself than you ought to. Are you hearing me? Always be where you are. Y'all hear me? Yes, it's the safest place. I don't need to be in a hurry. Be where you are. So I gotta master my emotions, gotta master my ego. Come on, say that with me. I gotta master my emotions. I gotta take action and master my ego. Thirdly, again, remember, you cannot serve with an empty vessel. So your vessel has to be healed, it has to be whole. You can't serve out of a broken system. You need to be whole so that when you release things to people, it is released in wholeness. You cannot serve with empty hands. You cannot give with empty hands. You cannot change the world and show up for everybody else when you haven't showed up for yourself. Here's the last one: you must take action to control your economics. So emotions— see, we don't like to talk about this in church— ego and economics. But watch this, Ecclesiastes 10:19. The prophet says, a feast is made for laughter. So it's okay when we eat, to laugh when we eat. Amen. To enjoy our food, to have joy. We ought to have joy, right? Wine makes life merry. For those of you that want to drink a glass of wine and use this for the reason you do it, The wine that you drink ain't the same wine. This is grape juice. That's what this is. Study the text. Ain't no added alcohol, none of that. This is fermented grapes. Okay, so you're gonna go, so well, Apostle said I can make merry, I can get me some wine. No, I ain't what I said. I said you can go get you some grape juice. Glory to God.
Why makes life merry? And watch this though, money is the answer for everything.
It's in the Bible. You can be saved and floating and flying, but you can't answer the light bill with that. You need some money. Money answers everything according to the text. Yeah, do y'all believe that? Nobody wants to go through life— hear this, and I'm done, I'm closing— not being able to afford not only the things they need but also the things they want. Nobody wants to go through life like that. So this year you got to take your economics serious, but that means you're going to take some action to change that. Money can't buy you happiness, but it definitely can buy you comfort.
That's right.
Ah, you only got to say nothing. I told you I prayed before I got here. I've been on vacation preachers since last Friday. The reality is you need some money. You can't go down to Georgia Power speaking in tongues. They're gonna put you—
yeah, you can go down there.
They're gonna take you right to the grade, to the 8th floor. We got one down here, y'all come get him, because you can't do it. Money can buy comfort. It can buy freedom. It can buy your time back and give you your life to be free to do what you want to do. You can enjoy nice things when you got money. I appreciate God for the blessing of money. Say that with me. Say, I thank God. For the blessing of money. Say, in 2024, my economics will be greater than ever. I'm telling you, it's something to have the freedom to be able to do what you need to do when you need to do it.
Yes, Lord.
We were down in Orlando, and I thank God I had the freedom not to even think about just what I wanted to do. We're going to Mizzen and Porch, going out to dinner, whatever we did.
That's freedom.
It's freedom to trust the blessing of God. Are y'all hearing this?
Sound free financially.
I'm gonna give you 7 steps real quick. I ain't gonna stay with them long to master your money because I'm gonna come back and teach this over again.
Number 1, again, I just want to give you the construct.
You got to understand that 80% of wealth— listen, I'm telling you this because money has all things, so you need to know this.
Two things we don't want to talk about in church: sex and money.
But we want both.
Most of the time we want a lot of both.
Okay, well, maybe not in this place, but some of y'all want a lot of both.
Number one, you got to understand that 80% of wealth is psychology.
It's mindset.
Money is not currency, your mind is. Your bank account is a direct reflection of how you think.
A lot of times we think money is— the scripture said money has all things. It didn't say money is the ultimate power. It's not.
That's a limited faith.
That's a limited belief.
God's the ultimate Power. Money becomes a tool that God uses to get done what he needs to get done in this realm of exchange where we need money. Are y'all hearing this? Money has no power alone.
It only has the power you give it, right?
You can have a whole lot of money and do bad with it. You have a whole lot of money and do nothing with it. But you can have a whole lot of money and do a whole lot of good with it. You can take your money and empower it to be great.
Hallelujah. Number 2, when it comes to your money, you want to master it, you got to work on self-discipline. We live in an age, y'all, with self-gratification. Of instant gratification, where most people don't even know what they want, but they want it now. They don't even know what they want, but whatever it is, they want it right now. Self-discipline says, I'm gonna put off doing this so I can do this later. When it comes to money, you cannot let money burn a hole in your pocket. Are y'all hearing this? I'm smelling food in half the church.
Go, they need to be in here listening.
I hope they listening back there.
Say, self-discipline will position me to master money. Money. Amen. Amen.
Gotta master your mind when it comes to spending. Most people don't even have a budget. They don't know what they got to do from month to month. They're hearing this, they just get money and spend it.
Number 3, write this down.
I'm not going to teach these because I'll be here all day. I can teach these all day. It's just a construct. I'll come back and teach them. You got to become financially literate.
See, another limiting belief—
say limiting belief. See, we're limited in what we believe about money in these different areas because we— a lot of times we believe we're just not smart enough to figure money out. I'm telling you, it really ain't that hard. There's too much information to to make money easy, you gotta learn it. You got to develop a financial vocabulary. You got to learn how to invest. You can go on YouTube and learn how to invest. There are people that teach it all day long.
Watch those videos. But you don't even know—
we looking for the spiritual videos, and we get real hyped up spiritually, suited up Fact. Are y'all hearing this? And then we have no resources. Well, we gotta balance that. Gotta become financially literate.
Number 4, you gotta set goals.
You gotta set some goals for financial freedom.
You gotta set a goal to not be renting and owning. Are y'all hearing this? Set a goal to buy an automobile cash. Y'all listening? Set a goal to pay off your mortgage if you got one.
And you know God is able to help you do that, right? Because he said money answers all things.
So you got to set some financial goals. And listen, the way you do this, you need a plan, a financial plan, where you take action with that plan every day. I call it a MAP, a Massive Action Plan, a map that relates to where you're trying to get financially. If a million is your number, if you want to make a million dollars, how you gonna get it? You're gonna make $100,000, how you gonna get there? You need a map. You can't jump, shout, speak in tongues this into existence. You have to do this.
You gotta take action. Oh, it's quiet now because we wanted to fall out the sky. I'm sorry, it's not. You gotta do the work. There's so many people who die and never experience the benefit of what God had in store for them because they don't take action. Number 5, get the tools you need. So 80% is mindset, 20% is mechanics. You got to get the right tools. Oh boy, that's how you're going to master it. You got to— part of the tools is really take the position of a learner, learning from people who already know. There are people that know stuff about money that you don't know. You got to sit at their feet, you got to learn it.
Just like we want to learn spiritual—
you know, we learned about money, go to school, get a degree, get a job, and whatever the job pays. It's so much more to it than that. So you gotta learn the game. Number 6. Make yourself irresistible to money. Ah, that's called the kingdom law of attraction, where provision is looking for you. Let me tell you something, you're always in proximity to the blessing of the Lord. I talked about this last month, the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow. You're always in proximity to that blessing, but you got to make yourself irresistible to it so that money will come looking for you.
Can I promise that to you? Those that are watching, those in here, in 2024, money is already accumulating and it's already waiting for you in certain seasons, but you got to be in the right place, in the right mindset, because it's not going to come if you ain't ready for it. That's why you got to learn what you got to learn.
And number 7—
I got to go.
I'm going to teach, teach this whole thing later with— on these 3 points. I'm going to teach them all separately because it, it'll take me all day. I'm out of time. I'm learning to create a growth culture. I'm learning. That means I can't preach teach all day. Glory. It's just being wise. If you want to grow, you got to create a growth culture. Amen. Somebody say, well, the Holy Spirit is leaving me. Holy Spirit ain't leaving you to teach all day. It ain't God, that's you want to talk all day. Glory to God. You got to create a growth culture. Some people ain't gonna come and sit up and listen to you all day. Are you hearing this? So we got to create a growth culture. So I'm trying to do— my spiritual father says He told me, he said, you preach too long, man. So I'm trying to do better. I'm trying to be obedient, son. Glory to God. You got to become a creator of your own life. Touch your belly, say, I'm a creator because the Holy Spirit lives in me.
Say that again.
Say, I am a creator because the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit lives in me.
Oh God.
Well, I pray that message has been a blessing to you. I mean, it blessed me, uh, watching it, hearing it all over again, just like it did when I taught it. Glory to God. Very prophetic, very instructional. Glory to God. Again, we preached that earlier this year, and we've been taking actions all year, and we've been seeing the results of those actions. I want to encourage you again, the year's not over. Take action. So I broke in here, my time is really gone, because I want to thank you guys, glory to God, that are moving in obedience and getting your seed in the ground. I decree again that 10,000%, 100-fold return on your seed before this year is over. And listen, it's not too late. If you haven't sown yet, the ways to give are popping up on the screen once again. Get your seed in the ground. Glory to God. Listen, I want to take a quick moment to invite you to be my VIP guest. Glory to God. At Supernatural Harvest 24 at Rhoda Church, we're going to dedicate our building on that Sunday the 3rd. I'm looking forward to that. I want you to be with us all weekend. My, my daughter is preaching, Prophetess Tawanda Cargo. My son, uh, Pastor Jeffrey Jasper, and myself, we're looking for God to move and explode in the midst of us. So make sure, family, you're in the house. Glory to God! The information is on the screen about the service. Please, to be register as a VIP. We're going to have some giveaways. Matter of fact, we're giving away some groceries on Sunday. So in order to win, uh, those groceries— glory to the name of God— you need to be registered as my VIP guest. If you're not registered, you won't be in the contest. So you got to text HARVEST to the number that's on the screen so you can be a part of the contest. And we're looking for God. Hallelujah. To meet us there. The system is going to automatically choose who wins the groceries. As a matter of fact, you got to be present to win. So there'll be part— so we're giving away a total of $500 worth of groceries. We'll give away some Friday night, we'll give away some, uh, in equal parts on Saturday night. Glory to God. And we'll finish it out on Sunday, which will be the grand prize. You've got to be present, glory to God, to win. So make sure be sure to get registered and that you show up for service so that you have an opportunity to be blessed with those free groceries we're going to give away. Listen, my time is gone. I love y'all. Y'all be blessed. Heaven smile upon you is my prayer, and look to see you soon.
Peace.
