CONFIDENCE IN PRAYER | DR. MIKE WOODS, SR. | 02 OCTOBER 2025

Dr. Mike Woods Sr. teaches that confidence in prayer means finding a biblical promise that matches your need, asking God to fulfill it, believing it's already granted, and rejoicing before you see the answer. He connects every failure to a prayer failure and every success to a prayer success.

Sing it to Jesus. Yes, Lord. Hallelujah, Jesus.
It really don't make no sense to pray if you ain't got no confidence when you pray.
Glory to God.
The Bible said without faith it's impossible to please God, and we got to have a confidence that when we're praying, he hears us. So let me just review a few of the things we've talked about with confidence, and we're going to look at a vantage point through the eyes of prayer tonight, but I want us to really see what confidence means again. Confidence means that you are able and acceptable to undertake a task without fear of failure. Say that with me.
Say, I'm able.
I'm able. And acceptable.
And acceptable.
To undertake.
To undertake.
Any task.
Any task.
Without fear.
Without fear.
Of failing.
Of failing.
And that's the same thing in prayer. And I believe that if people had more confidence in prayer, they would pray more. I think people don't pray as much as they ought because most times, Mother, we really don't believe— most people don't believe that God is listening. But he is there, he is real, and he is answering us. I'm gonna give you a few points and then I'm gonna put this text on the end in 1 John 5:14. But I want you to just really go grab this tonight. First of all, prayer— and you might want to write this down if you need to, glory to God— prayer is your earthly license for heavenly interference.
Interference.
I want you to remember that prayer is your earthly license for heavenly interference. And all of us want heaven to interfere in our affairs, right? But here's what I want you to know: heaven is not just going to interfere in your affairs. A lot of times people don't pray because they assume Okay, well, God's gonna get involved anyway, but the reality is he's not, because you are a free-willed, free moral agent, and you have to choose God. And then watch this: the territory of the earth— hear this— God gave it to man. In Genesis 1:8, he told man, have dominion over this planet. So this is man's terra firma, this is man's place of rulership and authority. So God says, I'm not going to get involved unless you invite me. The way we invite him is through prayer. So again, heaven will not interfere just cause you assume heaven should, or you assume God should. You have to talk to him. As a matter of fact, the Bible says we have not because we ask not, right? That's what scripture says. Many times we go lacking because we don't invite him in. But if we talk to him, he will answer prayer. Matter of fact, the Bible says ask Ask and it shall be given. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door is open. If you take the A off ask, the S off seek, the K off knock, you still gotta ask. You're still asking. We all know when you seeking, if you ask, when you're knocking on the door of heaven, you ask. When you open your mouth and verbalize, you're asking. So again, I want you to remember that heaven will not interfere unless we pray. Prayer is your license on earth to get heaven involved with your life. Second thing I want you to write down is every failure in your life and my life is a prayer failure first. I'm gonna say that again. Every failure in your life and mine— and I'm gonna win, I can attest to it. This is where this came to me from, watching my life and things where I fail. And I've had some failures, and every failure in my life, I can trace it back to a prayer failure where I didn't invite God into what I was doing. And there are even times I thought I was inviting him, and I really didn't wait long enough for his answer. I just moved again, assuming that because— watch this— it was a good thing, right, that God was with me. And God was gonna put his favor on it. No, it wasn't him. And I should have just waited until he said something. And if he didn't say nothing, I should have just kept waiting. So every failure in your life is a prayer failure first. So you can't blame nobody when failures happen in your life. But a lack of prayer. But watch this, number 3, on the flip side: every success in your life and my life is a prayer success first. So tonight, as we teach on confidence in prayer, we're really going to unlock how to pray successfully. Because I want to submit to us in here and somebody watching that just because you're on your knees don't necessarily mean you praying successfully. Okay, believe it or not, you want to pray in a way that you know God's gonna move, and the way you do that, you got to do that according to what he says in scripture. Just cause you down there hollering and screaming and crying don't mean he gonna show up. He might find some grace, said, Lord, I'm tired of hearing them hollering, and show up every now and then to your heart. Well, I'm so tired.
He—
God probably sitting there, I was like, you know, I just wish they stopped screaming and calm down and pray correctly.
Right.
So sometimes let me just go down here and help them so I ain't got to hear this. Are y'all hearing this? But if you know how to pray with confidence, you can pray through to success. And then every undertaking, you undertake it with confidence because you know you prayed through in confidence. Gloria, and again I'll repeat this, if people had confidence in prayer, I promise you, they pray more. People put more confidence in worldly structures, worldly systems, worldly ways of doing things than they do time with God. Glory to God. So let's go to the text, and then we're gonna get in this.
Glory to God.
Um, 1 John, praise God, 5. 5.
Thank you, Jesus. And 14.
And I'm reading on the Amplified.
Glory to God.
If I can get here—
come on out of here.
All right, here we go. And this is the confidence. Now, in this text, the word confidence is a Greek word parousia, which means assurance, boldness, and frankness of speech. It means you understand that you will be accepted when you speak to God. So this is a first important key to getting your prayers answered and praying successfully. You gotta have confidence and assurance to know, glory to God, that you can be bold, that you can speak to God boldly. And you don't— and listen, the bell has been rung. You have access to the Father. That's right. The Lord is saying to just remind you You have— he said, tell them they have access to me.
Amen.
Somebody watching, you have access to him. The Lord says, you have access to me. Not me, him. Here's the question the Lord is asking you: do I have access to you? He says, you have access to me, but do I have access to you? Have you made yourself totally available to me? That's good stuff. Yes, it is.
Yes, it is.
Because God says, okay, I'm giving you full access to me, and that's confidence, that's parrhesia. So now you can speak to me what's on your mind.
Amen.
Of course, with honor and respect toward him, because the word 'ask' there is a ishio in Greek, and it means to come to a superior as an inferior. Inferior. So when you approach God, you approach him like you're inferior to him. So even in confidence and boldness, we don't get to boss God around.
Amen.
He's still God.
Amen.
He's still in control. He's still the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He's still the head and not the tail. He's still the creator of you and I. Amen. So when we come to him, we need to know I am inferior. And I'm talking to somebody, watch this, that has the ability to answer me. Amen. See, you could be talking to folk about your problem and they ain't got one ounce of help for you. They can't help you. Let me just commit this to you right here: don't talk to people about your problems who have no ability to solve them. Just leave that alone. Talk to them about something else, because at the end of the day, you're gonna get more frustrated when you get through talking.
That's right.
Especially if you're looking for a solution from that person. I'm just telling you right now, I'm to a place in my life, I, I know how to measure problem solving. So at the end of the day, I'm, I'm not gonna waste a lot of time on something with somebody that don't have the skill, the ability, the intellect to solve the issue I'm trying to get solved. Are y'all here?
Amen.
You meet people where they are and you will be at peace a whole lot, because you can put unrealistic expectations on humans that they cannot meet.
But this is the beautiful thing about prayer.
We're praying to a God that can't fail. We're praying to a God that first of all is omniscient, which means he knows everything. Yes, there is nothing he don't know.
That's right. Amen.
How beautiful is that?
Amen.
He has all the answers. I mean, I know some folk on Earth that think they know everything, right? Yeah, they're the most frustrating folk on the planet. Because they think for real they know everything, can't tell them nothing. But the reality is, when we go to pray, you're speaking to a God that's really a know-it-all. He knows everything.
That's right.
Say that with me. Say, God is omniscient. There's nothing he doesn't know, nothing he hasn't He didn't even have to figure it out. He's just automatically all-knowing. He didn't go to university. He didn't have to study. He didn't go to elementary school. He didn't go to high school. He's all-knowing.
Are y'all with me? That's right.
Say, God is all-knowing.
God is all-knowing.
Secondly, you're praying to a God that's omnipotent. He's all-powerful. Oh wait, yes, which I mean, listen, there he's above every other power. That means no matter what other powers are doing in the earth, yeah, the God we serve, our Daddy, yeah, hallelujah, he's all-powerful, all-powerful, yeah. And listen, he— and what I love about him, he loves his children. And he don't mind using his power to take care of you. He don't mind using his power to make sure you're good, to protect you. Say he's all-powerful. Say he's omnipotent. Wait a minute, he's also omnipresent, which means he's everywhere, coexisting simultaneously at the same time. So right here in this room, he's here with us. But if you travel to Australia, he's in Australia. If you travel to California, he's in California. He's everywhere.
He's everywhere.
Watch this. He may not manifest himself and show himself everywhere, but he is there. Now watch this, there are things he responds to, like worship, like prayer. So when— and watch this— like holiness. So when people operate in levels of purity and worship and they pray, God says, okay, I like this, let me step in, let me get involved with their life. This is why it's impossible for a person who lives a raggedy life— watch this— who just lives how they want to live, to expect heaven to interfere, because heaven responds to purity. Are y'all here? Amen. So when you know right, you do right.
That's right.
Are y'all here?
No, right, you do right.
I heard a guy say— and you know, and I knew this guy when he was talking, he was just trying to justify sin. That he in. All right, he got on this saying the church has lied to you. The church has told you that God loves your character more than he loves your gift, and that your gifts are more— he said your gifts are more important than your character to God. I said the devil is a liar because that's not true. The Bible said gifts and callings are without repentance.
That's right.
So you could be gifted, called, and, and watch this, be unrepentant and still go to hell. Let me give you a witness to that. Paul said, I can preach to you the gospel, you can be saved, lest by any means I don't bring myself under subjection to that same word. He said, I will be a castaway.
That's right.
So hey, I don't know what Bible you've been reading, right? But at the end of the day, we gotta walk this thing out.
That's right.
Absolutely.
So that heaven will respond, because God is holy. And once you get saved, give your life to God, God clean you up, and die the next day and go to heaven, right?
Right.
But watch this, you'll never have heaven on earth if you don't live holy. You get to heaven through the cross, but watch this, holiness is what gets you heaven on earth. All right, all right. Watch it, that holiness is also is what gets you in the kingdom on Judgment Day. So I don't know where these people are coming up with this stuff. I don't got it over into something where you can just do what you want to do. But I'm back here, I'm in prayer because at the end of the day we wonder sometimes why our prayers are not successful and God answered. Maybe there is something in our life that God says, I can't touch that right now because he's holy. Amen. If God really died for us and we believe it— I believe he died for me— then my daily duty is to live so he's pleased. And every human— watch this— is enters into temptation. The Bible said temptation is not sin. I only got to talk to me. The Bible said Jesus was even tempted on everything. Wait a minute, yet without sin. Why did he do that? To be an example that we can survive our temptation.
That's right.
Oh wow. And guess what temptation is? Temptation ain't something you don't want. Absolutely right. Temptation is something you desire. Yeah, somebody said, not Jesus. Yeah, he was God and man. Are y'all hearing this? So I want you to understand why he didn't sin. His flesh was trying to rise up, right? But he was God enough to bring it under subjection.
That's right.
You got that same God in you when you're tempted, right? And you know what reminds me often? I'll be like, man, I can't do that. I need God. I need him. Sure. So I'm not playing. And yeah, well, you're gonna get grace, Apostle.
I don't know.
I need to know in confidence when I pray, he gonna hear me.
That's right.
I don't need to be processing through obvious sins that I'm committing, and what I got to do is do all this repenting and then wondering if God gonna hear me on the other thing. That's just me. At the end of the day, I want to please him. Are y'all hearing me?
Yes.
So he says, this is the confidence— 1 John 5— the assurance, the privilege of boldness we have in him. He says, watch this, we are sure that if we ask anything, make any request— I'm reading Amplified— according to his will, in agreement with his own plan, he listens to and hears us. You know what it says to me?
I need to be able to walk away from prayer and say, I know he heard me.
All right, that's confidence in prayer, because he just said, I know he hears us if I ask anything according to his will. Yeah, anything according to his will. He says, I know he hears us. I just want you to practice that in faith. Say, I know he heard me. Say, last time I prayed, I know he heard. So next time I pray, I know he's gonna hear me. That's confidence in prayer, that you have no doubt that he heard you. And when I started, I said every failure in my life and your life was a prayer failure first. Every success is a prayer success first. So now I'm gonna show you how to pray according to his will. Okay, first, first of all, you got to accept the reality, and you got to accept this. If you don't accept this, you'll never pray successfully. Okay, one, that God is able to answer your prayer, that God is real, and if you talk to him, he's able to answer your prayer. That's right. Say that with me. Say, God is able to answer my prayers. You can never doubt his ability. Watch this. Secondly, I want you to remember, God desires to answer your prayer. Oh boy, you want to pray? You got— when you get down on your knees, you need to know not only is he able, but my God, he desires He want to make sure you ain't praying amiss and that you ain't wasting your time. He wants to show you he's real.
Thank you.
That's right. Thank God for him having that desire to answer my prayer. Thank you, Lord. But now, how then do I invoke him? How do I position myself that these prayers are going to be answered. Well, here's the third thing: you got to accept that the Bible is the perfect will of God. See, when you go creating your own wills and your own plans that ain't in agreement with the word, it kills his desire to answer. His ability stays the same, he just don't use it. But when God sees you praying in alignment with what's in the book, the desire rises up in him to perform on your behalf. And prove to you that he can't lie. So say that with me. Say, the word of God is the perfect will of God. Come on, say it again. The word of God is the perfect will of God.
Hallelujah.
So when you're praying, the Bible said here, if I want him to hear me every time Yes, yes. If I ask anything according to his will— yeah, not according to my will.
Are y'all hearing this?
According to what the Bible says.
What the Bible said.
So here's the key to successful common prayer. Number 1, let me start over here. Another dimension, right? It's gonna be real simple tonight because this ain't hard. The first thing you got to do is find a promise in the will. Oh, we'll— new will, Old Testament, New Testament, last will and testament is the will. So find a promise in the will that covers your need. So before you start praying, I'm just trying to show you how to be something. This thing works for me.
Amen.
Amen. I'm trying to give you the combination. Get out your word.
Yes.
Thank you, Lord.
You need some healing?
Yes.
Go find all them healing scriptures. Are y'all hearing me? And find that promise that covers your need and believe, one, God is able to do what you read, and two, again, he desires to do what you read. And then when you pray, number 2, after you find the promise that covers your need, number 2, ask him to do the promise. Simple. Find the promise, then ask him to do it. Let me tell you what that looks like. You got a problem that where you need some provision financially. You got a need in the area financially, so find that scripture in Philippians 4. It says, my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory. Now then, you said, now Lord, here we go. In the name of Jesus, your word says you would supply all my need according to your riches and glory. God, I need XYZ. And I declare according to your word, my need is met and it is done now in the name of Jesus. You just prayed. Are y'all hearing this? Amen. You just prayed a prayer in his will that he desires to perform.
Amen.
Watch it, that he didn't lie about. But when you go in prayer, you worry about how you sound. Some people ain't Some people be praying trying to get the right sound, and if they sound a certain way, they feel like they done prayed through. Lord Jesus, Mary, Martha, and Joseph, calling on you now, Lord. You the architect of the universe. God come in, you going through all that and ain't praying nowhere.
Nam word.
Yeah, here it is. Are you going to prayer emotional, right?
Are you doing, oh God, I'm sick.
This how you go. God like, okay, I'm waiting for you to say, pray the word so I can respond to you. Stop crying and find that scripture that say, with his stripes I am healed. Healing and deliverance is the children's bread. And you boldly and confidently speak that word to God. Guess what? He can't lie, and never is he gonna let you make him out of a liar, right? So you got— but you got to do what he's asking you. Ask according to his will, all right? Because it ain't his will that you be sick. It ain't his will that we live in lack. It's not his will that we be miserable. It's not his will that we be depressed. So we find the promise that covers our need, and then we ask him to do the promise.
Oh boy, that's so good.
All right, here's the third thing. After you do all that, now you gotta believe when you pray.
That part.
So while you find the promises, come here, you ask him to do it, it ain't going to help you if you don't believe what you just did. The Bible says believe when you pray that you have received that which you ask. So if I'm asking God for what's in his word, and I know 1 John 5:13 says if I do this according to his will, he going to I need to believe that, right? That'll give you confidence, because again, God can't lie. Again, he's able to answer your prayer. He desires to answer your prayer. He's just listening for the will, and you— and he's waiting for you to believe. Let's break belief down. Belief is, uh, pistuo in Greek. And this word means to be confident, reliant, dependent upon a thing. So that means you're totally reliant, totally dependent, totally acceptable to what God says as truth. Watch this. You should depend on the word and God above every other source. Are we here? Yes, sir. So when you go to pray, you believe when you pray that what that book says is true. How can we believe the Bible in all the other areas? First of all, you believe that, you know, you weren't at Golgotha when Jesus died, but somebody preached and you were drawn to the cross. You gave your life to Jesus. You ain't still— you ain't— you don't seen some very bad movies that depicted what it looked like. But you weren't there, but your belief says he died for me. So to continue in this thing, we got to keep believing that just like he died and gave me salvation, part of that plan is for me to have a relationship with him, and I can have confidence in prayer for him to answer me. Are y'all here tonight? I'm just trying to show us it's basic, man, but I'm trying to show you how to get prayers answered. Because I— listen, I want you to be fulfilled in every part of your life where God is involved, so much so that there's never room to question whether when you prayed he heard you. Because if you do it this way, because he can't lie— say again, say, I know he heard me. I know you heard me. Say, going forth, he gonna hear me every time I pray, every time I pray, because I'm gonna find a promise that covers my needs. I'm gonna ask him to do that promise, and I'm gonna believe when I pray. When I pray. You heard that? Listen, that you already got. Number 4. Well, I'm almost done tonight.
Number 4: you have to rejoice before the results.
So now this seals the fact that you believe that what you pray for is real. Because now you got to— because you spoke those things that are not as though they were, you receive them because you believe it. Now you rejoice and give God praise, and you worship and glorify him as if you already got it in your hands. I rejoice when I pray about my financial status, about being a billionaire. Every time I pray, I rejoice like I've already won. Most of the time, if I'm not careful, I'll go out and start spending money like I'm already one. I'm serious. So I have to really make sure, because that's where my faith is. I'm already in that vein. But you have to understand that your rejoicing is an act of faith. You praising him in advance. Say that with me. Say, I gotta praise him. I gotta praise him in advance for what he's already done. See, that's confidence in prayer. You can leave prayer knowing it's done. You don't get out of prayer sulking, still depressed. I was talking to someone today, and I was just really gonna see about— I went to my aunt's husband's funeral today, and I was just really weeping in my spirit for one of my cousins I was speaking to because he's gone through a lot. And just listening to him talk about the challenges he's had, and he was telling me how he's been fasting, trying to get close to God, and you're just kind of doing it his own way. And I'm like, yeah, but you got to do this God's way. It's commendable you trying to pull yourself out of this situation, but his wife's been gone— and God rest her soul— 3 years now, and he still battles because that's how much he loved. He can't accept that he was mad at God because God took her and not him. Matter of fact, it might be 4 years because they both was in hospital with COVID He ended up coming home, she and she passed. And my heart goes out to him because I love this boy like he's a natural brother to me. And to see him— this is not the man I know. The man I know is competent. The man I know is intelligent and wise and an entrepreneur and knows what he wants out of life. But to see this thing shake him this way, it let me know that when And I was just thanking God that I have a mind to walk with the Lord closely in relationship, because it can happen to any of us, right? Trials can take your confidence in life. And if you— that's why you got to know what you know is real. And it makes it easy to worship God and praise God when you come away from prayer instead of going right back to depression when you got confidence that his word is true. It's hard to believe that his word is true if you don't study the word, if you don't read the word, if you don't come to Bible study. Are y'all hearing this? It's hard to know that the word is for you when you ain't in it.
Yes, amen.
You have to make this book a priority. Your screen time should be more on your Bible app than Facebook. It should be more on your Bible app than Instagram. If you read the Bible on your device, your, your apps tell the story on where your attention is. Are y'all hearing me? Some people can sit and scroll an hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, just scrolling in everybody's business. The devil is a liar. But getting the word, trying to study the word, as soon as they get 2 verses down, a demon get on your shoulder, tell my sleep, my child, sleep, my child. There you go, you gone. Can't even read the Bible, you sleep. But that social media keeps your attention. The reality is we can't pray to social media, we got to pray the word. The word becomes real when you fall in love with it, and that's what we need. And that's why you can walk out of prayer when you know the word real and start rejoicing. Oh, something they used to sing in the church I grew up in, don't wait till the battle is over, they say shout now. And man, they should go in on that song. And when you get through, everybody gonna shout because everybody was shouting in advance for what they knew God would do. You got to be able to praise God on credit. His credit is good with me, so I, I can praise him for what's coming because the promises are true. Are we here? Yes, sir. So number 1, this is all in 1 John 5:14. Number 1, God is able to answer your prayer because he said if you ask anything, right? So a osio, ask, come as an inferior to a superior who has the ability and the desire to answer your prayer. Say that with me, say God wants to answer my prayer. Number 2, if you ask anything according to His will. His will is his word. I want to get that in your spirit. Say that with me. Say, his will is his word.
Ah, yeah.
So that's in God's will. How do we do that? Number 1, we find a promise that covers our need. Number 2, we ask him to do the promise. Number 3, glory to God, we believe when we pray. Glory to God! We ain't doubting, we ain't worrying no more because we done put it in the hands of God that cannot lie. Are y'all here? Number 4, we rejoice for the results. And then number 5, watch this, you receive the results. You know why? Because the last part of the verse says, we know he heard us.
Because we did it according to his will.
So we know at some point we're gonna receive what we prayed for.
I've been—
I got, I got a prayer project going on right now with, uh, Tiffany, one of the members, Vicki's daughter.
If she— y'all see her, she walks, you know, with a limp, and, you know, her hands are—
she was in an accident.
But the doctors don't believe she can be right again.
But the devil is a liar. I believe when I pray. Are y'all hearing this? And I believe. And what I did was I gave her about 50 healing scriptures. I said, print them out, put them up, read them, pray them every day. I'm praying them with you. We're going to witness this miracle. I've already rejoiced for it. I continue to rejoice for it. But guess what? We're gonna receive it. She gonna do hair again. Yes, glory to the name of God. She's gonna live a normal life, have a husband, have— do whatever she want to do.
That's right, that's right.
And she's not gonna be hindered by that physical ailment that the accident caused. Are y'all here? Amen. Say, in the name of Jesus, say, I receive. Everything I've been praying for. So I receive financial breakthrough. I receive breakthrough in my mind, in my body, in my profession, in my career, in my finances. Say, I decree and declare that because I ask according to the word God hears me and I will receive when I pray. In Jesus' name, amen. Now I'm done. I just want you to rejoice for a few moments. Come on, you got some stuff on the altar, some stuff you've been praying about. I want you to stand on your feet tonight and just begin to rejoice before the results. Somebody say, Apostle, we can't believe you finished. Yeah, I'm finished. I need you to rejoice for the results. Come on, open your mouth and begin to give God praise. God, we thank you for results. We thank you for results in our life. God, God, I thank you for results. Glory to the name of God in our church, that you're gonna add to this church daily such as would be saved. I rejoice for the results. I thank you that our church is becoming 5,000 believers strong, and many will be saved, many will be delivered, many will get breakthroughs because of this ministry. I rejoice, God, before the results. I dare you, open your mouth and begin to rejoice. If you feel blessed by this ministry, give tonight in this building. If you're led to give, give. Just get your seed in the ground. We love him. You know, that's another way we pray confidently concerning finances, is that we got seed in the ground. We are tithers. We can pray the word concerning tithe and ask God to return what he said he would. And you know what? He's faithful to do it. I'm a witness. So Father, bless every gift, every giver tonight. Give it back to them a thousand times more in In Jesus' name. Listen, I'm gonna let you guys go tonight. Before we leave, just a few announcements. We'll be right back here on Sunday at 9 AM. I want to encourage everyone watching, if you're in Atlanta area, come and worship with us. And those here, be here Sunday. We're going to have another great time in the Lord. We were so blessed this past Sunday, just such a beautiful, beautiful Amen. And I'm just looking for God to continue to take us, take us high. Amen. And our expectancy is high. So bring somebody with you, let God bless them as well. Um, just a few announcements. So at the end of the month, we're having our Worship and Warfare Conference. It's going to be phenomenal. Uh, people have already begin to register. I haven't even begin to run any sponsored ads, just from the Facebook posting and the text we sent out. If you have not registered, please register. It's going to fill up quick. Even we add the rest of the chairs, we can only get about 70 in this room. So I believe we going to be at capacity.
Come on, Jesus!
Yeah, so make sure you register and reserve your spot. We're going to start on that Thursday night, then we'll go Friday night, Saturday start at 10:00, we'll go from 10:00 to 2:00, uh, we'll have lunch as well that day, um, then on Sunday we'll close out. Uh, me and Apostle Brandon always have a lot of fun in the Lord ministering and sharing. So it's going to be great, um, so make sure you're in the building. Glory to God. Um, if you plan on going on the cruise with us, Dominion at Sea, I need you to go ahead and lock in your spot. It's only $100 to reserve your cabin. So, and you got to be 2x2. Everything is based on double occupancy, at least 2x2. So The ways to get started is already on the website. You can go to roddinchurch.com/@c. roddinchurch.com/@c. Please follow the instructions, um, that are there. If you have any questions, please reach out to myself or Pastor Jeffrey or Lady Felicia. We can help you, um, get your cabin locked, but we know that's going fill up quick too, because my good friends the Landfairs are coming from Durant, Mississippi. They're going to be preaching with, with me and Lady Felicia on the boat. They're going to get their people involved, and they got a huge church. So as soon as them folks start registering, those cabins are going to start going. So I want to encourage you, go ahead and lock in your cabin. Glory to God. That's a year away, but it comes quicker than you think.
So, and then you have all this time to pay for it.
So you go ahead and lock it in, you got time to pay for it. So get your cabin locked in. Glory to God. Um, we got a few things happening that I want you to put in your calendar that are very important. Um, on— in December, the first part of December, December 4th through the 7th, we're having what we call Apostolic Thrust, part of the Commission on My life is to make sure that the people of God are exposed to the authentic gifts of apostleship. And there's a lot of apostles, but you know, some of them— but anyway, we got some apostles coming, and we're gonna make sure that we're fed in a great way to thrust us into the next year from the apostles' mouth. It's going to be awesome. So Apostle Cornelius will be back, my good friend of 35 years, Apostle Jerry Howard. Uh, my friend from Las Vegas, Apostle Gregory Kirby, talked to him today. He'll be in the building. Yeah, and it's just gonna be great. So, and then myself, we're gonna pour— we're gonna have some panels on Saturday where we all will be up here sharing with you guys. You can ask us questions. It's gonna be really good. The apostle is important to the body. The problem is a lot of apostles want to be be kingdom superstars, so they lose connection with the people. But if you study apostles, apostles always walked among the people, and Jesus sent them out two by two to walk among the people.
We're not called to be untouchable. So this meeting is designed so you could touch us, you can pull off of us.
We're going to talk about everything from ministry to business to breakthroughs prayer and deliverance. We got some workshops that are going to be great that weekend too, so make sure y'all here. It's going to be good.
All right, amen. Hallelujah. There's nothing else.
Anything else, Pastor?
Oh, our Christmas party.
Yes, I need to start announcing this now.
Our Rock Church Christmas party.
Dinner.
No, we, we going to party in Jesus.
We ain't gonna put no boots on the ground up like that. No, don't twerk it! We're not doing nothing there. But we're going to fellowship, and what God told me to do is to make this free for all of those who are connected to the church.
Church.
So all of you that are here, all you are connected, we're going to have this on Sunday night, December 14th, at Eagles Landing Country Club, the country club where I'm a member. And I want you guys to put on your good stuff. We're gonna dress up and we're gonna have a Christmas party for the kingdom. Amen.
I'm gonna have—
I'm working on getting comedian Small Fire who used to be comedian Small Fry. She got saved. Now she's Small Fire. All right, so I'm trying to get her for that night. Uh, we got some good things planned for you. Uh, we're gonna have some awards we're gonna give out, but we want—
we want to exchange names so that we can exchange gifts that night.
We're just gonna fellowship as a family. We're gonna eat good, we're gonna look good, take a lot of pictures, and enjoy ourselves. Amen. So put that on your calendar.
Of December 14th.
Glory to God.
All right, if all hearts and minds are clear, you can stand.
What'd you say, babe?
I told them start looking for the outfits. It's semi-formal.
I got to look cute.
I got to give me this.
I need to put on your good stuff.
It'll be at 6:00 PM, so we'll have church Sunday morning, we'll get out, and then y'all get ready and come to country club and see.
I don't know though, got to talk to the Lord. Yeah, bring your formal attire just in case. We don't know what might happen.
Glory to God.
With the ball hearts and minds of glory, we'll stand. Father, we thank you for this service tonight. Thank you for confidence in prayer. And I pray, God, as we leave this place, we never leave your presence. Your Spirit will go before us and make our way smooth, successful, and prosperous, in the mighty name of Jesus. I pray for my friend Apostle Jeffrey McClendon tonight.
Father, there in the hospital in Dothan, he needs a miracle. And your word said God, that healing and deliverance is the children's bread. He is your son, God. I release angels now at my charge to enforce the covenant of the word. Go to that hospital now and give him a miracle in the name of Jesus. Father, I pray for my cousin Tracy.
Touch him where he is.
Change his life, God.
Do a new thing in it.
Give him breakthrough. Draw him to you, God. Let him be his normal self again, and let him be a kingdom man that flows in the things that pertain to you.
And we give you praise and glory for it.
Bless everybody that pressed their way out tonight. Lay a special blessing upon those who pressed their way into the sanctuary.
Bless them even as they go, and we thank you for it now, in Jesus' name. Amen and amen. Hug somebody, tell them you love them.
