Created to Worship, Part 5: "Creating a Dwelling Place For God" | Dr. Mike Woods, Sr.

In this live sermon, Apostle Mike Woods presents the fifth installment of his "Created to Worship" series, focusing on how believers can create a dwelling place for God within themselves. He begins by declaring that humanity’s primary purpose is worship, not merely a religious act but a lifestyle that involves sacrifice, holiness, health, and happiness. Drawing on biblical examples such as Abraham, David, and the tabernacle, Woods explains that God’s presence dwells where there is purity, altar‑like devotion, and sincere offering. He outlines four practical principles for making one’s body a temple: (1) holiness – living a life free from sin and aligned with God’s will; (2) health – caring for the physical body as a vessel; (3) happiness – maintaining a joyful spirit; and (4) sacrifice – offering one’s life, resources, and time to God. He interprets Psalm 84, emphasizing the longing of the soul for God’s presence and the need to create an “amiable” tabernacle within. Throughout, Woods urges listeners to share the message, donate to fund the upcoming church building, and commit to personal prayer and worship. The sermon blends theological exposition, motivational exhortation, and a fundraising appeal, concluding with a prayer for the congregation’s sanctification and the church’s financial completion.
Chapters
In a world filled with conflict and division, where strife threatens to tear us apart. We are called to a higher purpose, a greater destiny, to advance the kingdom of God and superimpose heaven on earth. Together, we explore the wisdom of God, the wisdom of his word, and we discover a pathway to fulfillment, to peace, to harmony and unity. Join us for our new teaching series, Taking Action Against Strife. In the beginning, everything had a purpose. Everything was created with intentionality. Every breath, every heartbeat designed for one reason only. You were created for something greater than you imagine, beyond your plans, beyond your dreams. There is one reason you exist: to worship. Worship, a response to the Creator. It's not a religious moment, but a lifestyle. It's not just a song, but the cry of your heart. Worship must be passionate, worship must be pure, and worship must be present in every season. True worship requires sacrifice. Just as Abraham lifted his eyes to the mountain trusting God with his most precious gift. We are called to worship with everything we have, to lay down our lives in honor of the one who gave it all. Join me, Apostle Mike Woods, as I embark upon this transformative journey in our new series created to worship. You gotta discover your true purpose and learn how worship positions you in the presence of God. Listen, this is more than a sermon, it's more than a teaching, it's a call to action that will align your life with your divine destiny. This is what you were made for. You were created to worship. Well, praise the Lord and welcome to Sunday night. I am super excited always to be here with you and to be able to share the word of the Lord with you. I want to welcome everybody that's here. Thank you everyone that's on right now, that's tagging. Glory to God, they're sharing. Listen, It is a blessing. Y'all know it already, to be a blessing. So guys, I need you to go ahead and make sure that you're sharing. This encounter is going to be great, and you want to make sure you be a blessing to someone else. So what do I mean by that? So you want to share it on your timeline wherever you're watching right now. We're actually streaming over, yeah, Instagram, YouTube, and 3 Facebook pages. So wherever you're joining us, or perhaps you're listening to the recording of our podcast. However you're receiving this word, I need you to share it. Glory to God, it's so vitally important. People need it. Uh, we've sent out a text message to our great text list, and glory to God, we're going to jump right into this teaching tonight. I believe that there is something God wants to say to you. There's something God wants to do, and I believe like never before, this information I'm about to disseminate, the enemy definitely doesn't want people to hear it, because at the end of the day, he wants people to go through religious processes, and God never actually takes up residence— hear me— where they are. And I'm telling you right now, I cannot afford to not have God taking up residence— glory to God— where I am and where I live. Glory to the name of Jesus. And so tonight we're going to talk about creating a dwelling place for God. See, it's for real. And I'm convinced, I'm inclined to believe that some people just don't want that. They want to stay stuck. Glory to God. Uh, so much so, you know, that they will opt into religion so strongly and to buildings and to certain religious structures that have been put in place and systems and claim that God is in that system. But tonight we're going to refute, glory to God, hallelujah, through the scripture, the places that God dwells. And the main place he lives, glory to God, is in worship. So I need you guys tonight to share. We're going to pray in a moment. I believe, man, God's going to be glorified in this teaching. The devil will be horrified, hallelujah. And Jesus glory to the name of God, will be edified, and you will be edified also in the midst of this. Listen guys, it's been a great Sunday for me. I hope it's been a great one for you. I, I sense something. Oh my God, I promise you, I said something really strong tonight over this live stream as we pray. Guys, I'm telling you, God is going to show up in a really profound way and The Bible says this, it says that we should ask God to give us his will on earth as it is in heaven. And that simply means that the things that God has promised us in his will, his word— watch this— and what he has declared of our life even before we got here in our pre-Adamic state. Hear me. Which means before Adam. Jeremiah 1:5, before I formed you, I knew you. There are some things, family, listen to me, and we're going to jump into this tonight, but I, I want to walk slowly through here real quick because I feel a release, and I believe that God's will that's already done. I need you to say that out of your mouth really quick. Say There is a will for my life that comes from God. Listen to this, that's already done. Glory to God. I want you to say it again. Say, there is a will for my life already done. Hear me. Say, "Yes, God." It's already done. I need you to hear me. There's a will for your life from heaven, from God, that's already done. Now here's the problem. Most people sit in the seat of not yet, even though the will is done. They haven't experienced it yet, but I sense tonight, even as we pray tonight— we're going to pray in a moment, glory to God— I sense tonight, hear me, family, that there is going to be an intersection, a crossroad. Yes, Father, I hear you. Between God's already done and your not yet. I'm gonna say that again. There's about to be an intersection. Lekiso afio Jesus. Mantete beso. Bruh, ushka tatapa asontete. Libu sunto sheba ante aya. Rukushi andelo mokoto rababaya. There— oh! Shibanto Ora ba haya. There's about to be an intersection between God's already done and your not yet. Ora ba haya. I need somebody to receive that. Glory to God. Glory to God. Whether you're live or by replay, Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook, wherever you are, I need you to receive this tonight. There's about to be a crossroads. I need you to tap in and believe. Glory to God. And I hear you, Father. Yes, I hear you. There are many of you— thank you, God— that you have— whoo— you have been praying and seeking and asking for things. And there are many of you under my voice right now, and even by replay, that I hear my voice. Glory to God. That you've been praying for years, even decades. I hear this in my spirit. There's some ancient prayers you have been praying that you have not seen the manifestation. There are some things you've been believing God for. God said there is about to be an intersection. Matter of fact, this is how I see it. Heaven's already done. It's about to plummet your not yet. And your not yet will be no more. So stop saying, I don't have a husband. Say, I'm— oh my God, I don't have a husband yet. Yes, God. Stop saying, I don't have a million dollars. Say, I don't have a million yet. Glory to God, but it's on the way. Stop saying— glory to God— I'm sick. Oh, just declare you're healed in the name of Jesus. Yeah, yeah, the not yet, it's about to be plummeted. Father, we give you praise. We thank you for your word. We receive it, God. We receive it in the name of Jesus, that every place of lack, that every place of discontent, Father, we decree and declare that you are about to show your hand strong. And Father, I give you glory now that you're about to meet us at the point of every need we have. I, I command lack to back up because provision is already done. And I decree and declare tonight that provision is going to show up strong for us, even tonight as we embrace, as we teach the word. And Father, I give you praise that you're going to cause us to make a dwelling place for you, and we glorify you for it now. In Jesus' name, amen, and thanks be to God. Oh my God, oh, somebody ought to give him glory. Hallelujah. I still need you sharing, guys. I need you sharing. Glory to God. Share, share, share. Glory to the name of Jesus. He says, I'm going to take what's left and I'm going to restructure it, and I'm going to restructure it in a supernatural way that what is left, the remnant that is left, glory to God, will be enough to sustain the vision that God has placed in your heart. We are continuing, glory to God, our series. God bless you, Apostle. I love you, woman of God. I appreciate you too. Glory to God. And so shall it be, and it shall not be otherwise. Glory to God. Thank you, Jesus. Listen, I want you to Stay with me tonight. Glory to God, we're, we're still in our series on Created to Worship, and I, I just have been trying to get it across to you in all the ways I've said it that you're on this planet for one reason and one reason only, and that is to give God worship with your life, not just in songs We talked about this a little bit last week, how people fall in— on Thursday, how people fall in love with the process of worship. We, we revisited presence versus personality, and people are more interested in the persona of God actually than his presence and God himself. I was sharing with a gentleman today, glory to God, and I was, you know, ministering to him He was asking me questions, and then in my answers, I was ministering to him, and tears was coming to his eyes. And one of the things I said to the young man— oh, he ain't young, he's 51 years old, but he's young, glory to God— I said to him, I said, sir, your life was designed to fall in love, passionately in love with Jesus. Not just be saved, but he wants you to be in love with him. And I told him, the more you love him the more you will desire to please him with your actions and your behavior. I said, it's not God is standing over you with a stick saying, do this and do that, glory to God, and trying to beat you down with rules. What God is interested in is a relationship with you that is loving, that is personal, and that every aspect of your life reflects glory to him. So not just in church when I have my hands lifted and I'm singing a song, or going through the process of worship, but my life outside of the church, everything I do is an act of worship. Remember, we defined the word worship as proskuneo, which means— is what we— it's like prostrate. So it means to bow as an inferior to a superior, knowing that the superior is your source. So you only worship what has the ability to supply. We talked about last week, glory to God, oh my God, that God is the only one who has enough worth to be worshiped. So we bow down because of God's ability— hear me— to provide, his ability to take care of us, his ability to help us. So tonight, guys, we're going to talk about creating, which means you have a role in this, a dwelling place for God. See, God's not going to just dwell or be there just because you want him to. You have to create a dwelling place. And so I'm, um, and, and literally, technically, I heard the Lord say earlier today He says, son, I want you to tell my people that I want my house back. Oh, glory to God. He said, tell my people I want my house back. So I'm telling you tonight, God wants his house back. The scripture says in Corinthians that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. It is in you that he dwells. The scripture also says that God cannot dwell in an unclean temple, and if you defiled that temple, he said he would destroy it. Oh my God. So I'm gonna— I'm gonna say this again: God wants his house back. And I'm not just talking about the church house, glory to God. I'm talking about your physical body. Glory to God, your physical dwelling place. Glory to God, where he tangibly houses himself in your spirit. Are y'all here? And we have lent this house to the world. And you, you listen, I won't— and tonight I'm gonna challenge you, because you may not be living in sin, but the question becomes, is your body really a house where God can dwell? And have you created a dwelling place, my God, for God? So that's what we're going to discuss tonight. We're going to go through a few scriptures, but I want you to write some principles down. And listen, we're teaching. We're not interested in entertaining you. We want you to understand how to do this. I don't want this just to be another good message. I want you to get it, glory to God, and apply it. I've always said, and then you've been listening to me any length of time, Spiritual information or revelation without application is constipation. So if you do not apply what you hear, you're stuck. It's— oh my God— backed up, straining to get out the purpose, get out the destiny, because you're not applying the principles. So tonight, guys, I need you to make application of what you hear. All right, I'm gonna give you some principles and then we're gonna kind of go back and unpack them in the word. Okay, so I want you to write this down. Number one, number one, all of God's work— hear me— throughout history, everything God has done has been to get man— listen to this— back to his ideal environment. So from— here we go— the time God started interacting with Adam, God had a plan for man to dwell consistently in his presence and God to be able to walk into man's presence when he wanted to. Hear me, family, hear me good. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. So when sin took place, the Bible said because your sin, you have been separated from between you and your God. That's in scripture, right? So sin separates you from God. God had to come up with a remedy to get us back to God so that we can worship and spend time with him. How did he do it? He started in the Old Testament with sacrifices— lambs and goats and she-goats and bullocks and turtledoves. Glory to God. But then Jesus said, oh my God, Then the Father said, no, let me prepare my Son a body and let me send him to the planet. Let him die on a cross for the redemption of mankind so that mankind now can be in right standing with me. All right, so all of God's efforts throughout history was to get us back to him. My God. Hallelujah! To get us back to our ideal environment. What is our ideal environment? Our ideal environment is the presence of God. We come out of God, right? I've taught this, so I want you to grab this. So everything God is doing in your life is so that you could technically be surrounded by him in every aspect of your life, and your environment is always a godly environment. Environment. Now, what does that mean? That doesn't mean that you're jumping, shouting, and speaking in tongues all day. That doesn't mean you're in it, because I know a lot of people that do that and they, they still ain't in God's environment. It's unfortunate, but they're not. God's environment suggests that there is an interaction with him on all things, and that nothing in life is done without him, because you live Whoa! In the realm of heaven, and you sit in heavenly places. All right, number 2, write this down, family. Glory to God. Altars, sacrifices, and offerings— listen to this— invite God's presence to come. And watch this, they commemorate also where he has been. I'm gonna say that again. Altars, sacrifices— hear me— and offerings invite God to come where we are, and they also commemorate where God has been. What are you saying? So when I create an altar in my heart heart, or I— oh boy— and I spend time on the altar of my heart with God, oh my goodness, it becomes, glory to God, an invitation for God to come and fellowship with me. Oh boy, how good is that? How good is that? And when I make sacrifices and give offerings to the Lord, hallelujah, it invites him in. And also it creates history with God. Oh, because whenever I sacrifice and give an offering to God and worship God, glory to God, whenever I pray and build an altar unto God and honor him with my life— are y'all hearing me? Are you hearing me? Oh my God. Lord have mercy. It creates a private history with God that shows him that I can be trusted with public manifestation. So I'm gonna say this to you tonight: if you create history with God in private He'll create history with you in public because again, altar sacrifices and offerings, which are all acts of worship. Remember, there could be no worship without a sacrifice. You cannot worship God if you don't know God. I get to know him on the altar. I make sacrifices on that same altar. I bring offerings through that same altar. Watch this. God says, I want to create history with you in private so people will know in public where you've been. And when they can see where you've been, you could take them back to where you've been. So if you create history with God in private, he'll create history with you in public. Oh my God, I dare you, shout that out of your mouth. Say, God, I desire to create history with you in private so that you can create history, hear me, with me in public. Oh my God, so good, so good. All right, y'all got that? Number 3, write this down. God's friends are worshipers. Ah, ah, the Bible said Abraham is a— was a friend of God. Listen, okay, okay, okay, let me just— let me just hit that right now. Let me just hit that right now. Let me just hit it right now. Glory to God. So all of God's friends are worshipers. Glory to God. Glory to God. Let me say this real quick about altars. I hear you, Holy Spirit, so I gotta obey. So altars— I gotta go back to that for a minute. So altars prepare a place for the presence of God to come, and it's based on the premise of purity of heart, purity of mind, purity of thought. It's based on holiness. In the tabernacle, you could not go into the Holy of Holies unholy, or you would die in the presence of God. That's why the priests wore a cincture around their waist and they had bells on the end, so if they went into the Holy of Holies unclean, they would drop dead in the presence, and those bells would ring, and the priests would reach in and drag them out dead. Thank God for the blood of Jesus, right? But, but, but let's look at friends of God. Abraham was a friend of God. We know that in the Bible, uh, that in Genesis 12:7, uh, and Genesis 22, when God— we've talked about these already in, in the previous teachings— when Abraham was to sacrifice his firstborn son, his only begotten son, his seed for a legacy. Here it is. God called him a friend because he obeyed. David is a friend according to 2 Chronicles. Uh, he's a friend according to 2 Samuel 24:14. David is a friend of God. Glory to God. So, uh, God's friends are worshipers. David taught us this principle of private worship creating public manifestations. See, David lived the principle through— in the Bible before our eyes that shows us that praise and worship has to be learned in private before it's exhibited properly in public. Glory to God. Oh. Psalm 51 is an account of how David learned how to worship God through his private storms. So these are the friends of God. Glory to God. So friends of God are worshipers. Just touch your belly, say, I am a worshiper. Glory to God. And number 4, and then we're going to get into this, God's presence Here it is: is the only essential ingredient in worship. Not a good organist, not a good drummer, not great singers, not the lights off at the church. The only— and I'm not knocking people do that, you know, I get it. And, uh, sometimes you, you need to turn the lights down low for certain things. I get it. Not knocking that. I don't want nobody to say Apostle knocking their lights off. No, not knocking it. But what I am saying, none of those things are the most important part of worship. How loud you sing? No. What's important is God's presence being there. You want him to dwell with you, right? Glory to God. Matter of fact, you want him to show up, you want him to give you instructions, and he wants you to follow those instructions when he shows up. Glory to God. And the reality is, it's a waste of time for worship in the church or otherwise if God doesn't show up. We need him to show up. All right, so y'all got those? And so we can move. I want you to go to Psalm 84. Told you I was going to put this scripture on the end, and I'm almost done. Psalm 84. Y'all with me? Glory to God. I hope you're with me. Glory to God. Psalm 84. Listen to this, guys. Oh my God. And I'm gonna start at verse 1. So first, I want you to write these 3 things down. These are 3 things that must happen to give God his house back that you must consider. Number 1, you must consider holiness. Glory to God. Listen, holiness is still right. It's a way of living and lifestyle for God's people. Again, some people don't think they saved unless you telling them every week, stop sinning, stop doing this, stop shagging, stop drinking, stop— listen, when you— like I told the gentleman today— when you fall in love with Jesus for real and he moves in and you really know he there, there's something in you that's going to want to please him. And you're going to want to return holiness to him in your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto him. Romans 12, which is your reasonable, thought-out, logistikos service. This is worship. He says present— matter of fact, before we go to Romans 8— I mean Psalm 84, let's go to Romans 12. I want to break that down for you. Because some of y'all, glory to God, ain't— you ain't getting it. You— okay, let me— because I don't want you to lose me on this. So you got— if you want to give God his house back, right, and you want to create a dwelling place, first thing there has to be is holiness. Say holiness. Glory to God. It's got to be holiness. Holiness is right. The church has decided that we're gonna just follow grace. We're not going to preach against sin. We're not going to talk about sin. And we're just going to tell everybody it's okay to live like you want to live. I'm not that guy. I'm not going to do it. Listen, if you listen to my lives, if you follow me, I'm going to tell you about yourself. Because guess what? I want somebody to tell me about me if I'm out of line. The reality is all unrighteousness is sin. The word sin in Greek is harmisia. It means to miss the mark. When you fall in love with Jesus, you'll do what Romans 12:1 says. The Bible says, I beseech you. The word beseech, watch this, is parakaleo, the word which means now the Apostle Paul writing to the Romans and look, I'm calling you aside, I'm calling you in close because I have concern for you. I'm in relationship with you. Because some— these Romans had gotten buck wild. And so Paul said, look, I'm summoning you, I'm admonishing you, I'm urging you, I'm begging you. Listen, that's what the word denotes, parakaleo. I'm calling you close to beg you to do what's right. Church, tonight, parakaleo. I am begging you. Glory to God. I want you to come in close and hear me. I don't— I'm not beating you up. Again, we all— this— the Bible says grace is sufficient for us. So again, there are times in your life where you come up against things that you may think something wrong, you may even do it. Here's the reality: his grace is sufficient. You don't need to be out here practicing sin. Come in close. Grace doesn't give you the license to be a licensed sinner. That's not what that's for. What grace is for— the Bible says if you sin, you have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. You do. He's your advocate. He's your intercessor. If you sin— the if is the big word. So while you're living right, trying to do right, you mess up, and if comes in, and now grace kicks in for you. Here's reality: just to get you to like me, I'm not going to tell you it's okay for you to be a whoremonger. I can't. I love you too much to tell you that. I'm not going to tell you it's okay to be a homosexual. I love you too much. Somebody said, well, that ain't love. No, I'm telling you this because I love you. It's not okay to be a lesbian. It's not okay to be homosexual. It's not okay to be a whoremonger, a liar, a thief. None of these things are okay. And when we mess up in these areas, we need to repent and decide to live holy. He says, I urge you, I beg you, para kaleo. Yes, God, yetaman suramanti. I need— I urge you, I beg you, para Kaleo, my God, tonight, huh, by the mercies of God. Now notice he says, I urge you, brethren. Glory to God, brethren. Adaphos in Greek, that word is adaphos, which means these ain't sinners he talking to. These are people who are in the faith. These are people who know about Jesus. Glory to God, who understand the work of the apostle. He says, brethren, listen, My Adolphos, you gotta stop this. I'm saying to you in love, man, if you're in sin and your business is not right, you need to work on holiness. Oh God, you need to work on a pure, clean lifestyle because you, you got to give God his house back and create a dwelling place. It requires Hear me, holiness. My God, tonight this won't be popular. Glory to God. Many will keep scrolling, but it's okay because I'm gonna preach it anyhow. I'm gonna be instant, in season, and out. I'm gonna preach it when they don't want to hear it. I'm gonna preach it when they go to the bathroom. I'm gonna preach it, glory to God, when they give me death threats and tell me to close my mouth. I'm going to keep preaching it. Glory to God. I'm gonna preach it when the social media gurus throttle my traffic so nobody else can see my lives and my videos. That's why I try to get y'all to share it, because those demons try to stop people from hearing this. Listen, holiness is a way of life for God's people, and I'm begging you, brethren, By the mercies, by the archetomos, the archetomos, the pity, the compassion, the longings of God. And you know, he says, I'm compassionate toward you. He said that you present, ooh, the parastemi in Greek, you present, you, oh my God, you set it at hand. You're ready to give it up. Your bodies, your bios, life, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. So how do I prove? The world sees the good, the perfect, and acceptable will of God through your life. So you have to create a dwelling place for God. Verse 3, he said, for I say through the grace given unto me, that every man that is among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think, but think soberly according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. Guys, Paul said, look, humble yourself, be sober in your head. Don't think more highly of yourself than you should. I understand that God is still on the throne, that God's way is still the way. He is the way, the truth, and the light. Are y'all here tonight? My God, my God. Ah, yeah. So yeah, yeah, I'm gonna leave you alone. I'm gonna leave you alone. Psalm 84. Psalm 84. Somebody say, Apostle, I didn't get on him for all that. But you got to be holy, man. You got to be holy. So you're gonna give God his house back, you got to be holy. Watch this. Part of giving God his house back means also that you got to be healthy. Watch this. You got to be healthy. See, you gotta watch for what you're putting in your and you gotta take care of this body. See, when you fall in love with him and know his purpose and know that you got to be around so that you can finish his course, you won't abuse your body by putting the wrong stuff in it, the wrong food, and defiling it and polluting it. Listen, we got to practice eating clean. I done got on this thing, man, of juicing, and I'm, I'm drinking I'm talking about, I, I make this kale and spinach and pineapple, apple, um, celery, ginger, turmeric, lemon, all in one. Glory to God. And make it in my juicer. And I'm drinking this twice a day because I'm filling my body with all of these greens because I know I got to be here. Glory to God. To do what I got to do. So take care of yourself. Man. Take care your temple. Give him his house back. So instead of living to eat— like my children, they live to eat, glory to God, all of them can eat— but you gotta just decide that you're gonna eat to live. It's a difference, right? I don't have time to do that tonight, but you got to give God the house back. So you got to be holy, glory to God. You got to be healthy to give him the house back. Watch this. You got to be happy. You got to have some happiness, glory to God, and you got some joy in your life, glory to God. You can't be depressed and broken on the inside and be an effective worshiper. You gotta take care of your mental, glory to God. You gotta take care of your mindset, your center, and you got to be— happiness means something has to happen, so you got to do the things that need to happen that produce happiness. And you can do that without living in sin. You can do that without getting out of line. But you, you gotta be holy. You got to be happy. You got to be healthy. This is— these are just 3 of the ways that you return worship back to God by creating an altar. Oh my God, where you dedicate your life in holiness and, and you sacrifice. Glory to God. And in things that you will want to eat, you stop. Are y'all hearing this? Because you know you got to be here. Glory to God. And then you make sure you dismiss things that compromise your joy, that compromise your happiness. Are y'all with me? I'm almost done. I got a few more minutes. Psalms 84:1. Let's go. Glory to God. This song was written, oh my God, um, to the chief musician upon Gethsemane. Now this is very important to this, uh, Gethsemane. Gethsemane, uh, Gethsemane means wine press. This is very important to this teaching. A wine press is a place where they would take grapes, all right, and they will send ladies into the field and they will stomp upon these. Oh my God, good God from Zion. They will stomp upon these grapes. Ushatalamintsiyata dabaya. Till the wine would ooze out of them. Glory to God. And they will do the same thing with olives until the oil would ooze out. So eat before wine and before oil that's always crushing. Watch this. Many of the seasons in your life that you've gone through that were hard, they were seasons of crushing. They would see— and I know for myself personally, there were seasons where God was breaking you so he could have all of you. And he, he allowed these things to occur so the oil would ooze out, so the new wine would flow through And that's what this Psalm is about, right? It's to the chief musician upon Gittith. It's a Psalm to the sons of Korah. And we understand Korah. Watch this. And these sons were— Korah was Baal, the son of the bald-headed man with no covering. Glory to God. Watch what the verbiage and intelligence here says. Listen. He says, verse 1, how amiable, are y'all ready? How amiable, oh my God, are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts. I love this. So watch this, amiable. He says, how amiable. The word amiable is yadid in Hebrew. And Yahdid, hear me, means how worthy of love, worthy of love, or high valued. Oh my God, to be loved! Glory to God. Remember I told you God is the only one that carries enough worth to be worshiped. Watch this, the psalmist says how How worthy of love, here we go, are thy tabernacles, which is miskan in Hebrew. The word miskan in Hebrew means dwelling places. So how worthy of love are your dwelling places? And this ain't necessarily the church building. We want him to dwell in the church, that's why we pray. That's why we worship in the building, so his presence and his power is always there. But we also want him to dwell in us. So watch this, this statement goes, if I am a tabernacle, if you are a tabernacle, oh wee! If you are a place where God can dwell, then you have to become a place where you understand that you are worthy of love. So we should love on the house of God, yes. But some people have loved on the house of God and some people have made a shrine out of church buildings. Apostle Brandon and I was talking about that today, how there, there are church structures and buildings that people feel like if they're in the building, it make them just sit there and be religious because they're in a certain structure and they don't have a hunger really for God because they're so mesmerized by the place. The reality is we should take excellent care of the house of God. I agree. And everything should be nice. Glory to God. But the most important ingredient, again, is God. Remember I told you that the most important ingredient in worship is God, is his presence. So you need to make sure that his presence is dwelling in you because you're worthy of love. The next time you feel like you're unloved, and listen, you are worthy of love. Oh my God, the next time you feel like people don't care, because God lives in you, you are worthy of love. Glory to God, because he's in you. So take care of yourself. Again, happiness, holiness, healthiness. Take care of yourself because you're worth love. You're temple enough to take care of it. Oh, this is soul food tonight. This is soul food. I pray y'all getting this. Glory to God. I pray you getting it. I pray, I pray, I pray you getting it. Glory to God. Because this is soul food. You, you got to make up your mind that your body is a temple and is worthy of love. Glory to God. And oh, because if God dwells there, you going to get his love. Because he gonna love on it. Glory to God. How worthy are your tabernacles? And that's how we— that's why too we got to be careful how we treat each other, because we are all carrying God. Those of us who are carrying him in the tabernacle, oh boy, you better be careful in how you honor people and how you handle people, because you're carrying God on the inside. Glory to God. We give you praise, God, and we worship your great name. Somebody ought to thank him right there. Watch this, verse number 2. He says, my soul longs, yea, even fainteth, my God, for the courts of the Lord. Now this— now we, we, we're creating a dwelling place. Glory to God. My heart and my flesh, my body, cries out for the living God. Now, there, verse number 2 is packed with principle on creating dwelling place. Let's start right here. My soul longeth, my nefesh. Glory to God. Oh, my very life, my very breath, my God, the very being that I am understands. Hallelujah! My appetite is for him. Watch this, you got to get a hunger for God and you got to get an appetite for God. My God, tonight, glory to God. And you— Oshian, te te ba ba ma tsaya, ro ba and so re be. God, I love you. I love you, Jesus. My God, my soul My soul, what? My nefesh, kakap, kakap. It means my nefesh longs, deeply longs. So my nefesh nakap, I deeply long. I realize, in other words, if I don't have you, God, whoa, this is the stuff God likes. He dwells in this kind of stuff. I cannot live. That's what the psalmist is saying right here. I'm— my soul longs for you more than money, more than popularity. Come on, church. My God, we give you glory, God. God wants his church back. He wants his house back. He wants his temple back. And you got to make up in your mind that it's him I want, it's him I need. You got to want him more than people liking you, and glory to God, and somebody liking your picture. Oh, come on, man, you got to want him, and glory to God, more than religiosity and systems. Glory to God. My God, my God. My God. Woo! Shatabababa. Somebody shout, just give me God. Matter of fact, type that in the comments. Just, ayin tsiyantabo. Give me God. Give me God. Just give me God. Just give me God. Woo! That's what I want. Aman shai. More than anything, my soul longeth. Deeply down in my appetite. Glory to God. He's what I want. His plan, not mine. I want his agenda, not mine. I want his will. Oh, just give me God. He said, my soul longeth ye even fainteth. My God, even fainteth. I love that word, kalah, in Hebrew. This word means, oh my God, means that I am consumed, I am ended, I am finished, my soul is done. I give everything, I deplete my all. So my soul longed, yea, even I pour out my all. See this? So you got to give him everything. Glory to God. You got to give him everything. Glory. You got to give it up. And I heard the Lord, I hear you, God. Amen, sir. I hear that in my knower, man. Ah, God, some of you are trying to hold on. Yeah, I hear you, God, to what God's trying to take. But God said, if you let it go, glory to God, and decide that he is more important than what you're holding on to that God's trying to remove. He says, I'll give you everything. I'll open the heavens and I'll, I'll overtake you with blessing, but you gotta let that thing go. Some of your marriage systems and ideas that just ain't God, and ways of living that just is not God. If you give it up, you can have it all. Oh, God have mercy. God have mercy. He said, my soul longed, even fainted. I gotta get outta here for the courts. For the courts. Yeah. For the abode, for the settlement, for the village, for the town, for the place where God lives. This word is powerful, man. It's chatsa, C-H-A-T-S-A. Ser, which means the settlement where God has settled, the place where he abides. Glory to God, the place. So my soul longed, even I deplete everything, I do what I got to do to be where God is. Listen, ladies and gentlemen, and I'm gonna close with this: if you want to create a dwelling place for God, you must decide, I never want to be where God was, but I only want to be where God is. I'm gonna say that one more time. I don't want to ever just be where God was. Glory to God! I want to be where God is. I'm gonna let that marinate because some of you still in situations, geography, and places, and mentalities that God has left. And God is saying you gotta let it go so you can bring forth more fruit. Hallelujah! Oh, He said, so my soul longs, even faints for the courts. So again, I deeply desire, so I pour out everything so I can settle in the same place where God is. Watch this. Remember I told you the altar, the sacrifices, the offerings, a lot of times what God does He'll set you on the left. He'll put left experiences in your life. Sometimes he puts you on the left just so you can get right. I'm gonna say that again. Sometimes you gotta get left to get right. Are you hearing me? Whoo! And God will set you on the left to cultivate you. He set you there to settle you, to season you so you can soar in him. You got to allow God— glory to God— to be the place where you dwell, and you got to allow yourself to be the place where he dwells. How do I do it? You gotta long for it. You gotta want it. You gotta get an appetite and a hunger. When you go to worship, even when you go to the sanctuary, there should be a hunger in you. Not about who's singing today, glory to God, what the songs are. No, I'm going because I'm hungry and I need an encounter with God. When you go to God in your private time, you ought to— you need to go hungry like you go to the table. Uh, Pastor Jasper told me my godson Christopher loves to eat. He'll eat his food and then come and eat yours because he has an appetite. Glory to God! When he sees food, he thinks he's supposed to eat. That's— that has to be your mentality. You got to have a mentality like Christopher. You got to know that every time I open my eyes, I need to get a hunger and an appetite with God. And you need to— when you go to spend time with him, don't half-step. Pour it all out. That's why I tell y'all, you got to spend prime time and rise up early and seek him. And when you seek him early, you'll find him, and you'll find durable riches with him. That's the word, baby. But you got to go after him. You got to be hungry for it. He says, my soul fainted even for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. So my heart, my lip, it cries out, my soul. So my whole being is in this verse. So if I want to create a dwelling place, I do it with my whole trichotomy, my whole tripartite self. We are tripartite beings. We are body, soul, and spirit. Oh boy. Body, bios, life. That's our biological existence. Soul, psuche, life. That's the center or psychological existence, the center of our moral passion. It's where our passions lie. It's where our intellect lies. It's where our 5 senses lie. Our ability to see, our ability to smell, our ability to hear, our ability to touch, our ability to taste. The tongue, the eyes, the nose, the ears, the hands. Are only apparatus where these invisible entities are manifested. They all emerge from the soul. Watch this. There's a deeper part of you, the zoe life, which is your spirit man, or the pneuma life. And what happens is God wants to dwell in your spirit so he can impact your psuche so that it takes over your body. Body, and everything that comes out of your life is a representation of what's in your innermost man, your zoe man, your spirit man. And what that becomes when you live from the inside out versus the outside in— watch this— it becomes what is called pneumaticos, which is the behavior of Spirit-filled people. So when you're filled with God's presence and he dwells in you, pneumatikos emerges, and you start living like him and accomplishing his plans for your life. I got to stop. I've been on way too long. I'm going to stop. Glory to God. Oh my God, I love him tonight. He's such a good God. Listen, we're gonna pray. I pray y'all got something out of this. If you were blessed tonight by the word, just type in the comments. Glory to God, some of those hands lifted up. Glory to God, glory to God. Just worship him in the comments really quick. We're going to pray. Glory to God. Come on, just worship him in the comments real quick. I give you glory, God. And worship him with the fruit of your lips right now. Come on, give God praise. Hallelujah. Come on, just give him— for the next 60 seconds, I want you to give him the best worship you can stand right where you are. I want you to open your mouth, and with all the ability you have down in you, glory to God, I want you to muster it up and just open your mouth and create a dwelling place for God. God, we love you. God, we adore you. We bless you tonight. You're so kind. You're so good. You're so wonderful. And besides you, there is no other God. We pour ourselves out to you, God. God, and as pour it out to you. We ask you to pour it out on us, God. We pour out worship, we pour out praise, we bless your holy name, God. David said, I'll bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall continually be in my mouth. And so with the mouth we praise you, with the mouth we bless you, and with our hands lifted up we yada. Glory to God. And we surrender and we say yes, Lord. Yes to your will, yes to your way, yes to your plan. God, we worship you. God, you are the King of Glory. Hallelujah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of Glory shall come in. Who is the King of Glory? Yes, Lord. The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Come on, worship right where you are. O taramansay. Yebakiska. Come on, create that environment. Open your mouth and give him glory. We bless your name, God, and we honor you. Hallelujah, you're good. So Father, bless your people. Let this word manifest in their life, and may they be holy, happy, and healthy. May they be pure, God. May they create a dwelling place. May they May their soul recognize how amiable your tabernacles are, and may they realize that you are one of those dwelling places, that they are one of those dwelling places where you dwell. And God, give them the attitude to create a dwelling place through appetite, through longing for your presence. And may they pour out everything to get you, God. May they give it up. Up so they can have it all. And Father, we present tonight our bodies, a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service. We give it to you, God, in Jesus' name. Amen and amen. Oh my God, thank you so much, guys, for listening tonight and staying with us. Listen, I'm telling you, God is good. I believe God. I appreciate the comments, family. I appreciate the support. Glory to God. Some— God is doing something. He's up to something. Glory to God. I'm inclined to believe that we have the ability— and this is for you too, not just me— you're always inspiring people that will never admit they're inspired about it by you. And I believe that happens when we teach and when we come on. That's why we're consistent. That's why we do it. Glory to God. Listen, tonight I need you to help me. We are really, glory to God, less than 2 weeks away from the grand opening of our new church. Glory to God. And I was over today working and moving some things in the building, equipment, speaking things of that nature. I can see the manifestation of God's promises in the spirit of what He was going to be doing when that building opened. I saw people being delivered. I saw the Word being preached in there. Glory to God! And people being changed and deployed as— glory to God— people of dominion from that very building. I I saw community completely transformed because we are there. I need your help, guys. We still want to do this debt-free. And honestly, we're still about $7,000 away from what we need. We've come a long ways. We, we started out needing about $35,000. God has been with us every step of the way. We're— and listen, we— I want you— yeah, you— yeah, you— to hear me out. The Bible says when we communicate to you spiritual things, you should communicate natural things. Listen, I don't say that just to get you to give. I say that because that's the word for real, right? You should respond to the word of God. The difference here is I'm not going to keep your money. This money is going toward what we need for the church. We still got to pay the final payment on that sign. I told you that sign was $4,000. We need to get the things we need so we can move on to something else. So I need you guys to go big. I need to get seed in the ground, man. I'm so grateful for all the people that have sent $1,000 seeds in. Glory to God, there's been a great help to us. I'm grateful for our faithful tithers and givers in our church, and I want you guys to continue to do that because God's going to continue to supernaturally provide for you as you move in obedience. So tonight, the ways to give are on the screen, and I need you, family. I need your support. Lord, I need your help. So I'm asking you guys, do the right thing. There are 4 ways to give. You can give via Cash App, you can go online to roddochurch.com/donate and get your seed in the ground that way. You give via Zelle, the Zelle information is on the screen. Or you could text to give, the text information is on the screen. However you choose to give tonight, I declare that your seed will come back to you a thousand times more. There are 5 people listening right now, and then there'll be, hallelujah, about 10 more that'll come on on this replay that'll hear what I'm saying under the sound of my voice that needs to get a seed of $1,000 in your hand and get it in the ground tonight. You need God. Listen, Listen, I'm telling you, you need God to supernaturally break you through. You reap what you sow. So I need you to trust God tonight. Trust God. Get your seed in the ground. And then whatever— hallelujah— you're looking for God to do, it's it's going to be so sweatless because of your obedience. Somebody may say, well, Pastor, I don't have a thousand. Whatever you have. But I want those people that have the thousand to obey. Whatever you have, I want you to make a sacrifice tonight. If you're supposed to tithe, I want you to tithe, and then I want you to sacrifice up and above your tithe. I'm believing God. When we have our first service Friday night, November 1st, in our new church that we won't owe nobody nothing for no equipment, for nothing. Everything will be paid in full. That's going to be our testimony, and it's going to be because of you and your giving. And your giving is going to set you up for the miracle you need in your finances. So trust God. I love you guys. Again, I lost some people. There's some Okay, the ways to give are on the screen. God is so good, he is so kind. Glory to God, we give him praise, we thank him. Glory to God. I'm gonna stay with you a few moments. Glory to God. Because there's some people that need to get this seed in the ground, and you, you have to plant in good ground. You have to sow where you want to go. Glory to God. I know what God is doing in me, our ministry, our life, our our businesses. You know, when you sow this way, you're setting yourself up for big blessing. Glory to God. And I'm telling you, don't draw back. He takes no pleasure in them that will draw back. Your seed leaves your hand but never your life. It leaves your life, goes into your future. Your pocketbook goes into your future and waits for you to get there. And when you find it is going to be multiplied. Hallelujah! We give God praise, we give God glory. Thank you for the givers tonight. I'm— thank you right now for the givers tonight. I give you praise, God, for those thousand-dollar givers. We praise you tonight in the name of Jesus. Those that are live and those that will catch it by replay, I'm thanking you, God, that you'll multiply that seed. Hallelujah! A hundredfold 10,000% in the same year. Yeah, the Bible says that Isaac sowed and he reaped a hundredfold in the same year. I'm believing, God, that as they get the seed in the ground, as they sow in the circle of supernatural provision, God, that before 2024 would end, they will reap a hundredfold like Isaac. I command it. I release it. I command it. I release it. And I declare they'll never be broke another day in their life. Glory to the name of God. I declare that the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow will overtake them tonight in the name of Jesus because of their obedience and their trust in the word. I decree and declare that the wealth of the wicked that's— oh, that's laid up for the just, which is us, will begin to be transferred into our hands. And I decree and declare that the forces of the Gentiles is coming their way now. Yes, God, in the name of Jesus, so be it. And we declare it in Jesus' name. Get your seed in the ground, family. Don't delay. We come off of here, get out your phone and sow your seed. I love you guys. Y'all be blessed. Heaven smile upon you. Listen guys, I'm go— I gotta— I got a busy week next week, so please pray for your apostle. I'll be in Durant, Mississippi. Glory to God. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of next week with my good friends, uh, Pastor Cornelius and Prophetess Deborah Lanfair. I love going to minister for them, uh, Prophetess, uh, Pastor Lanfair, 30-some-odd years ago was in one of my meetings in Pickens, Mississippi, and God gave— he was— gave me a word for him, and he was on drugs at the time. I had no idea because looking at him, you can tell. Well, prophesied about the drugs. God broke the addiction. And then we prophesied about him being a pastor and what God would do for him in that city. And every time I go there, I'm seeing what God spoke, just an amazing thing. So I'm super excited to be with them, uh, on this week. And then on Saturday, I'm going to be in Carthage, Mississippi, with my good friend Apostle Christopher Spivey. So you guys pray for me. And then I'm going all the way, hallelujah, to the west of Mississippi to Vicksburg on Sunday evening with my good friend Apostle Michelle Myricks. So please, guys, y'all pray for your apostle. We got a full week next week, but we're believing God for great glory. Hallelujah! And great power to manifest itself in the midst of us. I love y'all, man. Y'all have a super night. God is good. Don't forget November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. If you're in Atlanta or you are anywhere in the country, you need to make your way to Atlanta that weekend. We're going to dedicate our church. We're going to be having what we're calling Supernatural Harvest Weekend. We're tapping into the blessing of 5785. We're going to cross over into the portal of harvest and fruitfulness, and it's going to bring a level of continuity that's going to bless our socks off. The atmosphere is going to be great. The Power of God is going to be great. Come and don't come alone. Let's pack our church out and let's— I'm gonna tell you, let's create a dwelling place in 410 Santa Fe Trail, Ellenwood, Georgia on that weekend. It's gonna be profound, man. I love y'all. Y'all be blessed. I'm out, man. Peace. Y'all be good. I love y'all so much. I'm telling y'all, just don't know. I love y'all. This group is amazing. Thank you so much, TT. Bless you. Thank you so much. We appreciate your seed and may it multiply. Hallelujah, hallelujah, a thousand times more. Sharon, we thank you. We appreciate you, woman of God, for your connection. And glory to God, just— I know your family for a long time, so I appreciate you. Thank you for being a part of this. It means a lot. Even tonight, you're, you're a great woman of God. Thank you so much. You guys be good. Y'all be blessed. Talk to you soon. Peace.
