Day 3 of 21 Day of Fast + Prayer | 5 AM Prayer

In this 5 AM devotional, the host (Michael Lyris Woods) leads the third day of a 21‑day fast and prayer series. He opens with praise, declares the purpose of fasting and prayer, and centers the session on “watching our mouths.” He reads a series of scriptures (Ephesians 5:4; Proverbs 21:23; 2 Timothy 2:16; Ephesians 4:27; James 3:6; 1 John 6:63; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Colossians 2:3; Philemon 6) that speak about the power of the tongue. The speaker then guides the listeners through a lengthy set of confessions and declarations, repeatedly urging them to repeat phrases that renounce idle or destructive speech, submit to godly wisdom, and claim that their words are life‑giving, creative, and aligned with God’s will. He emphasizes that words shape reality, that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to speak creatively, and that faith creates. The devotional concludes with a call to continuous prayer, an invitation to a noon teaching on “Bulldog Faith” (Part 2) about the nature of faith, and a personal benediction of love and blessing for the audience.

So let's pray today. You know, the reality is, man, we outline this, we trust God that, you know, he's going to meet our needs each day. So today we're praying to watch our mouth. Glory to God. It's interesting that this is day 3 to watch what you say. Uh, our scriptures is Ephesians 5:4, Proverbs 21:23, uh, 2 Timothy 2:16, uh, Ephesians 4:27, James 3:6, James— St. John chapter 6, verse 63, 2 Corinthians 5:21. 1, Colossians 23, and Philemon 6. So God, uh, Bible readings for the day are— hallelujah, glory to Jesus— and that we would experience We'll be virtue to God with the words that are coming out of our mouth all day long. Glory to God. And I just want you to repeat after me again. Put these confessions together because we believe in praying the word. Praise God. Out of the scriptures that we have read. Praise the name of Jesus. So say this: Father, in the name of Jesus, I turn from speaking idle words. Say it with me: and foolishly talking. Things contrary to my true desire, to myself. And say this: Jesus, your word says that the tongue defiles. Oh yes, that the tongue sets on the course of nature. Your word says— thank you, Jesus— that the tongue is set on fire of hell. Jesus, say, in the name of Jesus, I submit to godly wisdom. Say, in the name of Jesus, I submit to godly wisdom. That I might learn to control my tongue. Say, I am determined, Shebaiah, that hell will not set my tongue on fire. Say, in the name of Jesus, I renounce. In the name of Jesus, I reject. Come on, say it with me. And I repent of every word that has ever proceeded out of my mouth against you. Oh God, Jesus, I bless you. Say this with me. Say, God, I repent of every word that's come out of my mouth. Oh my God, against your operation in my life. Say, in the name of Jesus, I cancel the power. Glory to God. And dedicate my mouth to speak excellent and right things. Say, my mouth shall utter truth. Hallelujah. Because I am the righteousness of God. Say, in the name of Jesus, I set the course of my life for obedience, for abundance, for wisdom, for— ah yeah, for health. And for joy. Say, Lord, set a guard over my mouth. Oh Lord, keep watch over the door of my lips. Then the words of my mouth and my deeds shall show forth your righteousness. And your salvation all of my days. Say this: In the name of Jesus, I purpose to guard my mouth and my tongue that I might keep myself from calamity. Say, Father, in the name of Jesus, your words are spirit and they are life. Say this with me. Say, Father, in Jesus' name, your words are a top priority to me. Say, Lord, I know that I frame, that I build the world that I live in with my words. Say, in the name of Jesus, I will let the word— hallelujah— dwell in me richly in all wisdom. Say, in the name of Jesus, the ability of God is released by the word of my mouth and by the word of God. Say, in the name of Jesus, I speak your words out of my mouth. They are alive in me. Glory to God, you are alive and working in me. Say, in the name of Jesus, because of this, I can boldly, with authority, with freedom, and with liberty, come before the throne of grace. Say, I can boldly, in the name of Jesus, say that my words are words of faith, words of power. Words of love and words of life. Oh my God, say that again. Say, in the name of Jesus, I can boldly say that my words are words of life, words of love, words of faith, words of power, and words of life. Say, in the name of Jesus, My words produce good things in my life and in the lives of others because I choose— hayamande oseaya— your words for my lips. I choose your words for my life in Jesus' name. Father, I thank you for this prayer today. It is true, God, that we shape the world we live in with our mouth. Your word declares that death and life is in the power of the tongue. Father, we thank you that our words can be constructive or destructive. So I pray today, as we move throughout this fast, God, you will help us, God, to guard our tongue, to guard our lips, dear God, and help us, God, to speak things of faith, to to feed our faith, to feed our life with your words. Let us say what you say about us. Let us say what you say about our finances. Let us say what you say about our children. Let us say what you say about our marriage. Let us say, glory to God, what you say, God, about our finances and our professions, God, and our businesses, God. Let us only speak words of life, God. Let us shape the world we desire and the world moreover in top priority that you desire, and allow that word to come out of my— our mouth to be totally aligned with your desires. And we trust you for this today. We thank you that our words are creative, our words are powerful, and we decree and declare today that we are creative because the Holy Spirit lives in us. Why don't you say that with me this morning? Say, I am creative because the Holy Spirit lives in me. You know how the Holy Spirit creates, right? With his mouth. By the word, God framed the world, the worlds, and the word of God that flowed out of his mouth created everything we know. The Bible says, by faith does all things exist. And by faith was everything created. You have the power by faith to create like God creates. So Father, I thank you for superimposing that upon us today, and may we prophesy to our future. And I give you praise and glory for it now, in Jesus' name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Glory to God. Hallelujah, hallelujah! You ought to rejoice this morning. Glory to God. I know it's 5 AM, but you ought to rejoice because we've come into a clarity even now. For those of you that didn't know it, that your words are powerful. They are constructive or they are destructive. Listen, I want to challenge you: pray without ceasing. Pray like never before. Glory to God. Keep your eyes on Jesus, for he is the author and finisher of our faith. This is day 3, glory to God, of our 21-day of fasting plus prayer. Listen, use this day to watch what you say. Listen, make sure you join us today at 12 noon for our teaching at 12 noon. Listen, we're still talking about an overflow of faith. If you miss, uh, part 2 of Bulldog Faith made it streamed last night because we were having some technical difficulties yesterday. Make sure you go and watch Bulldog Faith Part 2 yesterday, the nature of faith. As a matter of fact, we're going to be talking again today at 12 noon about the nature of faith. So make sure, glory to God, you jump in, praise God, and get the word from the Lord. Listen, I love each one of you with the love of the Lord. And guess what? There ain't a thing in the world you could do about it. Y'all be blessed today. I love you. Peace.
