Day 3 of 21 Days of Fasting + Prayer | 12 Noon Teaching: "Bulldog Faith, Pt 3" | Dr. Mike Woods

In this 12‑noon teaching, Dr. Mike Woods continues his three‑day series on the nature of faith, focusing on “Bulldog Faith” – an aggressive, tenacious, and persistent trust in God. He reviews the three aspects of faith (removing obstacles, receiving promises, and releasing forgiveness) using Mark 11:22‑25, then defines Bulldog Faith by likening it to a bulldog’s stubborn, ferocious grip on its target. He emphasizes that faith is fueled by continual hearing of God’s Word, serves as a shield against the enemy’s “fiery darts,” and must be spoken daily to manifest tangible results. Scripture such as Hebrews 11:32‑34, Ephesians 6:16, and 1 Timothy 6:12 are cited to illustrate spiritual warfare and the “good fight of faith.” Practical exhortations include biting down on the Word, declaring promises now, and maintaining aggressive, confident belief. Woods also shares his personal church vision of acquiring three worship facilities debt‑free in 2023, illustrating Bulldog Faith in action. The teaching concludes with a prayer for listeners to adopt this faith, an invitation to join the 21‑day fast via RhodaChurch.com, and a call to share the message.

Well, grace and peace be multiplied to you this afternoon. Thank you and welcome to our 12 noon teaching. Listen, this is day 3 of 21 days of fasting plus prayer, and today, glory to God, I'm super excited. To continue in this first tier. Remember, we're fasting in 3 tiers. We're fasting for the overflow of faith, the overflow of finances, and the overflow of spiritual power. And I'm super excited today that we get to continue to teach on faith. We're talking about Bulldog Faith, and this is part 3 of that teaching. Now, listen, I, I started the nature of faith yesterday. I'm going to actually Finish it today. So this is going to be the nature of faith, part 2. Glory to God. So let's pray and then we're going to jump right into this, man. I thank you all for fasting with us. Listen, perhaps you're not fasting with us. It's simple. If you want to, simply go to RhodaChurch.com. When you get there, if you're going on your phone, there are 3 lines at the top of the menu. Click that line and hit the link that says Fast 23 and download your fast guide so you can have our daily scriptures. You can pray with us every day at 5 and you can follow along in the teachings. Glory to the name of God. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, we thank you for the opportunity today to teach your word. And we decree and declare, God, that faith come by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And so, Father, as we teach your word in particular concerning the overflow of faith, bulldog faith, aggressious, aggressive, tenacious faith, God, I pray that this word will superimpose itself upon every listener and overtake them in Jesus' name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Hallelujah. Well, praise God. Hallelujah. Wonderful Jesus. He's a mighty God. Yes, he is. There is no God like our God. He's perfectly and absolutely wise. You know, we left off yesterday, we were talking about nature of faith. We talked about faith that removes, we, from, from Mark 11:22-25, faith that removes, faith that receives, and faith faith that releases. Glory to God. So we found out that faith will move mountains and obstacles out of our life. We found out that faith positions us to believe what we are praying for. I mean, I'm sorry, positions us when we believe to receive— y'all forgive me— what we are praying for. I'm going to say that one more time. It positions us to receive Hallelujah. What we are praying for when we believe. So the only hindrance to what— receiving what you're praying for is your belief system, your faith. So faith removes, faith receives. And we found out that faith releases. Faith will forgive. Glory to the name of God. It will let offenses go. Glory to the name of God. By faith, it has the ability to look past a person's offense toward you and let it go and give you the ability to walk through that. And then we talked about how faith is fueled— hear this— by the Word of God. Hallelujah! It's fueled, man, by the Word of the living God, which means you got to keep your tank full, which means you got to faith come by hearing. You got to keep listening and hearing and hearing and hearing the Word of God over and over again. Praise the name of Jesus. So let's jump into this. We're talking about bulldog faith. We've kind of preached two messages on this and have not really gave a— we've, we've given you some background scripture of this definition, but we just really have not gotten a working definition of Bulldog Faith. So let's get a working definition of this Bulldog Faith. Let's define it. So first of all, a bulldog is stubborn. As a matter of fact, he is stubbornly aggressive, persistent, and determined. A bulldog is a breed of remarkable, ferocity, courage, and tenacity of grip. So let me say that again, because I want to define the nature of a bulldog, because really, in understanding the nature of a bulldog, you're going to understand also the nature— listen to me— of faith. Yes, man. Yes, yes. A bulldog is stubbornly aggressive. Mm-hmm. He is persistent. He is determined. A Bulldog is a breed of remarkably, remarkably ferocious, courageous, tenacious dog that has a grip that is out of this world. Glory to God. His jaw protrudes and his nose is indented in order for him to bite down on something— listen— and keep breathing until that thing is completely theirs. Did you hear that? So the, the Bulldog, again, he is a breed of remarkable ferocity, courage, and tenacity of grip. So he— his jaw protrudes and his nose is indented, so then when he bites down, clamps down on something, he could keep breathing while he's biting until he achieves what he is gripped upon. Glory to God. Ah, so this is how we should be. We should, grrr, bite down on the word. Hayabatensei. And refuse to let it go. Just like that bulldog, keep breathing in the Spirit. Glory to God. Keep allowing the Spirit of God to lead us and bite down in faith on the thing that we're trusting God for. And grrr, and just believe. Glory to God. That is, see, a bulldog will bite and hold that thing until blood sheds. Glory to God. Hallelujah. And that's exactly what you should do. You should bite down on the word, into the precious blood of Jesus who stands behind every promise, sheds onto the thing that you're trusting God by faith. You got to bite down on the word, ma'am, and know that God can't lie. And if he wrote it in the book, it's true. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Bulldog faith. Watch this, does not take no for an answer. So Bulldog Faith is the ability to stubbornly, aggressively, and persistently be determined and locked in to believe the word completely until it is manifested. Tangibly in our lives. That's what it is to trust the word completely, aggressively, ferociously. To bite down on a word and not let go until you see a manifestation— whoo-wee— of God's promise in your life. My God, today. So the nature of faith All right, is aggressive, it's persistent, it's determined, it's tenacious, it's confident, it's demanding, it's commanding, and it's focused. Again, you gotta live by faith. The just shall live by faith. You don't try it out every now and then, or when you feel like it, or when you need something. Oh, I got to believe God now because I need this to happen, I need a breakthrough. Well, you should have been believing God the whole time. You know, it's just like when people get deathly ill, everybody goes into, ooh, super prayer mode and praying for healing and deliverance. And God does that. He will work and he will hear. But I promise you, if you move in faith before the terminal illness shows up and rebuke it and declare every day, my body is a cancer-free zone because his word says with his stripes I am healed. So therefore cancer cannot enter into my body and cancer cannot live into my body. Glory to God. And cancer will not kill my body because in the name of Jesus, Jesus bore all my pain and all my sickness and disease on the cross. Hallelujah. Glory to God. And in the name of Jesus, healing and deliverance is the children's bread. And because I am his child, I lock down on his bread, his word, his healing, his deliverance, and I'll never be terminally ill. If you start speaking that in faith now, hallelujah, the word has the power to keep terminal illness off you. Oh boy, you haven't thought about that, huh? You just wait till the sickness shows up. You wait till the issue shows up. You wait until you're about to get kicked out your house. Now I got to believe God for these payments. Or you're about to lose your car. 'Now, oh my God, I got to set my faith.' Or, or you see something you want, but you should be speaking to your desire every single day, aggressively, deliberately, just like that bulldog, man. Glory to God. So, so the nature of faith won't give up and won't let go until it gets the desired result. So you really haven't trusted God all the way through until you've seen the manifestation. Listen, I said it this past Sunday that our church, we have— and me personally, my— I got my personal faith on this, man, that we're going to purchase 3— I said it— 3 worship facilities debt-free. Hallelujah! And I'm locked in on it this year in 2023. Glory to God! I started looking at buildings for Woodbridge last night. I've been looking at buildings for Jackson and Atlanta. Glory to God. So, so we can have a number so we can lock in. Glory to God. And watch God do what he does through our faith. Thank you, Lord. And guess what? I'm gonna keep her— I'm gonna keep biting down until we go to the table and sign the documents and close. Glory to God. In cash. Praise the name of God. And got title deed in our hand for those worship facility— for those worship facilities. Y'all excuse me. Glory to God. I'm just excited. But those worship facilities in those regions. You got to bite down on something, man. Woo! You got to bite down on something that's bigger than you. Ah, glory to God. So Bulldog Faith basically says, because it's so determined, focused, and aggressive, it basically says what God says in his word is mine now. Because faith— hear this— is now. Now faith— whoo, we read it yesterday— it's the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is not next week. Faith, faith is not even a minute from now, a second from now. Faith is now. You believe it like it's yours. You got the evidence of it now. You start rejoicing like it's already— like it already belongs to you. You start acting like what you're believing for is already yours. Oh, oh, oh, oh my God. So let's talk about this aggressive nature of faith. Let's go to Hebrews 11 and verses 32 and 34. God, I feel like teaching today. Glory to God. The Bible says, and what shall I more say? Hear this, for time would fail me to tell of Gideon and of Barak and of Samson and of Jephthah, of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets who through faith— listen to this— subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire. Are y'all listening to this? Escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, wax valiant in fight and turn the flight of armies. Hallelujah! Of aliens. They turned the— I'm sorry, they turned the flight of the armies of aliens, of people. Glory to the name of God. That was not aliens from outer space. This word is transliterated people that were not of their tribe, of their culture. Glory to God. People that were intruding in their lives. Praise God. This, this is not making reference to people on Mars. Glory to God. It's not, not doing it. This is Okay, I don't want you to say, oh my God, they're aliens. That's not what I said. The Bible said aliens, and the King James is transliterated from a Hebrew word that actually means intruders or those without descent, those that were not born among you. Now watch this. He said, the writer says, what shall I say more? Look, time of famine, I ain't even got time to tell you about all this, but Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets in faith. The first thing they did, they subdued kingdoms, they won wars, they conquered. Glory to the name of God in battle. Can I tell you something? The kingdom of darkness, the kingdom of man— oh my God— and the kingdom of Satan, that— and those are three distinct kingdoms. I don't have time to teach on kingdom today, but those three distinct kingdoms are constantly warring against— watch this— you. Listen, Saul had to defeat 31 kings. Glory to the name of God. And he did that because he was making way for the legacy of David and didn't even know it. But he had to defeat 31 kings. And I think that is interesting because he had to do it by faith. And watch this, there are 31 Proverbs, which basically one for each day. And I thought about this because Proverbs gives us wisdom. It gives us word by faith. You should, you know, you try this. I used to do this in my early years a lot. I mean, every year, glory to God, I would do this every month like clockwork. I don't do this anymore, but it's probably a good practice to even go back to because those Proverbs started living in me and I start, 'cause Proverbs, for verb, for action. So these things gives you action for life. So if you read one that aligns with each day, you start getting action, glory to God, to apply to your daily life. Well, what— why am I saying this? You got to conquer any kings that's sitting on the throne of your heart that goes against faith. Any king of sin, any king of doubt, any king of unbelief, any king that is hindering your ability to believe God and keeps you saying dumb stuff that keeps you speaking out of turn and saying things that are against the word of God. It makes no sense when, when it's just that simple to say the right thing. Just like you can say the wrong thing, it is very simplistic for you to say, glory to God, the right thing. My God, today Thank you, Jesus. So through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness. So faith— watch this— wrought righteousness doesn't deal with holy living. That deals with the production— watch this— of God's justice, God's peace, God's love, and God's provision in your life. Again, the, the word here means the production, the producing, the rightness of God, the accuracy of God manifested in his goodness, his peace, His love and his prosperity in your life. Oh my God. The righteous obtained promises. They did it by faith. The things that God promised them, they did it by faith. They stopped the mouths of lions because they understood who they were in faith. It's the nature of faith. This is how aggressive faith is. Watch this. When you move in faith, nothing appears impossible to you. Are y'all listening to me today? Glory to God. Hallelujah. Let's go to Ephesians 6:16. Let's go. I'm almost done. Praise God. Ephesians 6:16 says, above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye may be able to stand to quench the fiery darts of the wicked. Now watch this. So when you take the— when you take faith, the ability to see and not see Glory to the name of God. The ability to leave what you can see for what you cannot see. The pistos, to be absolutely confident and totally reliant in God. When you take this by faith, it becomes your protection against doubt. It becomes your protection, glory to God, against fear. It becomes your protection against everything that's not like the Lord. I need you to grab this this morning. See the— watch this— you can quench the fiery darts of the wicked. Well, what are the fiery darts of the wicked? It's the thoughts, the ideas, and the suggestions of the enemy that go against faith. I'm gonna say that again. It's the thoughts, the ideas, and the suggestions that go against faith. And he throws these fiery darts— watch this— because he wants to set your faith ablaze. This whole warfare is in your mind, and it comes to burn up your faith because the enemy knows without faith you can't please God. God. So he sends thoughts, ideas, and suggestions to set your faith on fire. You'll never prosper, you'll never live the promises of God, you'll never conquer the kingdoms that war against you if you adhere to the thoughts, the ideas, and the suggestions that the enemy brings to you. Some of you are because the enemy is constantly feeding you a thought, an idea, and a suggestion that is ungodly, that's impure, that's not even the will of God for your life. You, you're going through in your finances, you're going through your relationships, you have a plethora of issues because you're constantly listening to the thoughts, the ideas, and the suggestions of the enemy, those fiery darts that are feeding you doubt and setting your faith on fire, man. But the Bible said if you, if you take the protection of faith and be aggressive and speak faith all the time, every day, you'll quench the— that's— watch this— faith, y'all ready, is your spiritual fire department. That puts out these darts. Glory to God. I gotta go, man. Let's go to 1 Timothy. I don't have time. I really, I don't, I don't have time. 1 Timothy 6:12. Watch this. We're talking about Bulldog Faith. Says, fight the good fight of faith. Wow, man. He says, fight the good fight of faith. Like that bulldog, you got to be aggressive. You got to be persistent. You got to be determined. You got to be ferocious. Uh-uh. And bite into it and declare, glory to the name of God, I'm going to quench these darts, these thoughts, these ideas, these suggestions that go against my belief system, that go against my ability to trust and believe God. Hallelujah! Let's pray. I'm out of time, man. I appreciate you guys today. Thank you for tuning in to this 12 noon. Glory to the name of God. Let's pray. Glory to God. Father, we thank you again for Bulldog Faith. We thank you for the nature of faith. And I pray today that even as we've taught your word, this word would superimpose itself upon every person that heard, every person that listened. And I, I Decree and declare, dear God, that no weapon formed against their faith can prosper. And God, that they will take the shield of faith. They will take on faith. They will just choose simply to be aggressive, to be determined, to be ferocious, to bite into your word and not let it go. And we give you praise for it in Jesus' name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Listen, ladies and gentlemen, thank you you for joining us today. I pray, man, again, that this word was a blessing to you. Please share it with somebody.
