FIGHTING FROM VICTORY | Dr. Mike Woods, Sr. | 22 AUGUST 2025

Hey, what's up? Grace and peace, everybody. I pray you're well. This is the day the Lord has made, and we shall rejoice and be glad in it. Listen, I wanted to share something that was in my heart, and I'm not going to be long. I normally don't jump on during this time, but I really want to share what's on my heart today. Is that okay? Get this hat straight, because I'll kick to the side. All right, yeah, I pray you guys are well, man. I pray you're doing good on this Friday, uh, but I kind of sense, you know, that a lot of you— and whether you're watching now or whether you catch this replay— you're actually engaged in a level of warfare. Glory to Jesus! That in many instances you don't understand how to navigate through. But I want to give you some tools just really quick, man, to get through the attacks you may be under. And I want you to understand something: any attack you're dealing with right now, it's not really about you. It's about the weight of the purpose that's inside of you. I'm gonna say that again. The enemy only attacks those who are weighty in purpose. Now, while everybody has a purpose Here's, here's a few things. Every purpose is not known, and the reality is when you don't really understand your purpose, you just start doing stuff and you're really not a threat to the kingdom of darkness. Secondly, the enemy understands if you tap into your purpose and establish a level of clarity around that purpose, you're going to become a threat to him. So he's going to start employing schemes— watch this— that he can only use in your idleness to trip you up inside of your purpose. That's the only reason, family, he can get in and start wreaking havoc in your life, is that you're idle. The Bible says an idle mind is the devil's workshop. So I want to give you a few tools on how to deal with these attacks. So the first thing I just gave you— really, I posted this earlier, but I'm gonna say it here because it bears repeating— the first thing is that you got to remember The attack is not about you personally. Matter of fact, personally, the enemy really could care less about you. He is— that's why there are people who are not operating in the maximization of purpose, he don't even bother. The reality is he comes at you, and these are real attacks from the kingdom of darkness that comes at you because you carry weight. Because you carry purpose. This is why you're going through it. This is why you're dealing with what you're dealing with right now. And if you're just joining us, guys, please share this, man. This is important information. There's a lot of people battling mental battles, they're battling emotional battles, but the reality is, family, you got to understand that the reason you are under attack is not personal. Glory to Jesus. It's about the weight of that purpose you carry. Secondly, He— watch this— he attacks you because, glory to the name of God, and I already said this, he fears you actually getting clarity and maximizing that purpose. And here's the final thing I want you to remember: it's not the individual that you're receiving the attack from that's attacking you. It's that demon in them that fears purpose. It's not them. So while you trying to figure out how you gonna get them back, what you gonna say, what you gonna do, you know, let it go, man. Because at the end of the day— and rejoice— you're under attack because you carrying something weighty. You're carrying something that the world needs. I'm not gonna be long, I really am not. I just want to give you this because I just kind of sensed in my spirit and I felt like I needed to jump on here right now so that I could tell somebody live or by replay, you know, hey, and this may not be important to some of you, but some of you gonna remain stuck. You're gonna remain in the position you're in because you refuse to have a hunger for the information that's needed to overcome the enemy. So here's the piece, man. I'm gonna tell you something. You are fighting from victory. We're not fighting for victory. We're fighting from victory. Okay, I want you to grab this, which means the victory is already won. So when you enter into a battle with Satan, it's the first thing I want you to remember: the victory is already won. Let's look at James real quick, 4:4. James 4:4. Let's see what it says. All right. New International, he says, you adulterous people, you don't know that friendship with the world means enmity against God. Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy— oh my God— of God. So again, you open yourself up to warfare. Watch this. And you become an enemy to the God that gives you the victory. When you are consistently entangled with the world systems, the world's cultures, the world's way of doing things, and you dismiss— hear me, family— whoo, you dismiss the fact that demonic forces, that hell is actually real, and there's really attacks against your life. And so you befriend these things in ignorance and not knowing that you really are enemy to God. So you got to surrender to him so that he can get you through whatever it is you're going through. All right, let's also look at James 4:7. I'm— well, yeah, let's look at James. Let's look— let's go down to verse 7. Verse 7, it says, submit yourself to God, then, then to God Resist the devil and he'll flee. So the word resist means to fight, to enter into battle, enter into war, to enter into— hallelujah— an altercation with him. And you know what the Bible says? The moment you choose to fight, glory to God, he understands he can't win because you're fighting with Jesus, because you cannot win a battle against Satan in your flesh, in your intellect. He's a spiritual entity that's actually real. So in order to fight from victory, you got to surrender to God. All right, surrender to God, submit to God, his way of doing things, his way of thinking. Surrender to the power of his word. Watch this. And then resist the devil. Resist him. Fight him. Decide, I'm putting up a fight. You ain't gonna have my children. You're not gonna have my finances. You're not gonna have my family. You're not gonna have my business. You're not gonna have my ministry. You're not getting anything because I'm not gonna surrender to your idleness. I'ma submit to what God says and I'm gonna do, hear me family, what God tells me to do. Good stuff, all right? So he's gonna automatically abandon the fight. After you do those two things, James is telling us there will be no more fight. The enemy is going to say, okay, this one here is standing on God, I can't win. So he's not going to fight against people, glory to God, who are engaged in total surrender or submission to God and who have made up their mind they're gonna fight with Jesus. He's gonna flee the battle. I need you to grab this. Satan's got— but if you're trying to fight it in your flesh, are you trying to fight it through your personal mentality? Listen, you're never gonna win. Go to Ephesians 6, uh, and this is very familiar. I just want to read it in your hearing. Ephesians 6, glory to God, 10. I'm gonna start there. Glory to God. 6. 10, let's see, through 18. Let's go there. And the Bible says, finally, be strong in the Lord and the strength of his might. Is— okay, hear me, hear me. Good God. So he says, be strong in the Lord and the strength of his might. So again, this tells me, I, you know, if I'm going to engage the devil, if I'm going to fight demonic forces, I have to choose, family, to be strong in the Lord. Not in my flesh, not in my own reasoning. I have to make the choice to be strong in God. I got to understand all my strength to fight this demon comes through God. He says, put on the full armor of God so you'll be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. So he says, put on this armor, put on all this, these pieces, because without them— again, I'm just trying to validate what I said. You can't fight him without this armor. He said put it on so you can stand against his trickery, his schemes, his debauchery, because he's a slick devil. He doesn't play fair, and he wants your purpose. He wants God's plan for your life. He wants God's reason for your heart to beat. He want— that's what he wants. But if you put on this armor, stand strong in God, you can stand firm against his trickery. You can see it a mile away. You can see him when he's coming. Glory to God. And he wants— I'm telling you, he wants what you carry because you're so great, you're so awesome, you're so anointed. You got something that the world needs. And this is why the enemy has been fighting you so hard. But you got to put on the armor. Watch this. He said, for the struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against powers, against the world force— the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of weakness in heavenly places. Therefore, put on the full armor of God so you'll be able to resist the devil in the evil day. Having done all, stand, stand, stand firm therefore. Glory to God. And have your loins girded with truth, and have the breastplate of righteousness. Have your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. And he says, in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith, which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Verse 18, with all prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit. And with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints. Watch this. So clearly, again, it lists the pieces. I don't have time to get into those pieces right now because I want to just show you how to fight from victory. You go back and read this later. Put on that armor. Glory to the name of God. Pray, operate in faith, and understand that you're not in war alone. That also you're warring for other people as well. You're warring to help other people also. This is a real fight, a real battle. Glory to God. Let me help you, let me help you. Spiritual warfare is not a myth. It's not a myth. It's real. There's a real kingdom of darkness. Glory to the name of God. And as a matter of reality, it has been in existence since the Garden of Eden. You read about it. Oh God, when Adam and Eve had encounters Oh, with this snake in the garden. Glory to God. This serpent that was trying to create distraction. Hear me, hear me. To cause— good God Almighty— Eve to disobey God and ultimately to cause Adam to disobey. The downfall there was she was ignorant to his devices. She did not realize that there was a real war going on. He deceived her. He had conversation with— so this is a very important point. It is important to not have conversations with demons or those that demons are using to create distractions in your life. Oh, to create distractions in your life. It's important, family, to not have conversations with demons. Oh God, yeah. So if the devil is using somebody, what you need to do is go in prayer mode, warfare mode, and start rebuking that and start tearing that down. Glory to God. And, and you ain't even got to go at them personally. You ain't got to be loud and boisterous. At the end of the day, it's a spiritual battle, not a physical battle. So when you're being attacked, do not converse with the demon that's attacking you. That's why when God is operating in deliverance in my life and in my ministry, I don't sit there and have conversations with demons. I don't ask them what their name and all that. If God reveals me their name, I will call them by name. If, if I see the demon manifest and I don't know the name, I'm just gonna cast the demon out at the end of the day, because I don't have time to converse with the devil. I don't have time to create a show or spectacle of what's going on in deliverance. Okay, but a lot of people do that because, you know, they want to show. But we don't have time. We want to cast these demons out, send them into dry places, get this person free. That's what it's all about. It's not to create showmanship. All right, so, but it's a matter of reality. Our position— watch this— is victory in Christ. When we— so again, you're fighting from victory. That's what I got on here to say. It's— you do— you're not fighting for victory. You don't enter into a battle with the devil to try to win. You enter into a battle with him knowing that you already won. And I just read in James, knowing that he's dropping the fight. The fight is easy when you fight with Jesus. You're fighting from victory, not for victory, not to victory. Greater is he that is in you than he that's in the world, or he that's after you or trying to destroy you. 1 John 4:4, he's greater. So, oh, so you got to decide, hear me, that you're going to operate with the greater one who's already had the victory. Glory to God. I'm gonna end with this. Warfare, glory to the name of God, is spiritual. With the devil. Watch this. We are amphibious beings. We have a body, but we have a soul that lives in that body that is ruled and controlled by spirit. Now you have to understand that when you give your life to God and the Holy Ghost moves in, you receive the baptism of Holy Ghost and you get full of God's power in your life. Hear me good. You have automatic victory if you work with God. Hallelujah! You are going to win every single time. Watch this: your reasoning, your emotions, your volition— when you don't operate under the grace and the power of the Holy Ghost, you're at your weakest when you're fighting the devil. Because you cannot do this in your body alone, in your soul alone, without control of the Holy Ghost and influence of the Holy Ghost, because he sees and knows those things in the realm of the spirit that you don't know. So I just got on here to say, guys, you're fighting from victory. Listen, don't give up, don't throw in the towel. Get Jesus in your life. And perhaps if you're watching this and you're not saved Maybe you're depressed. Maybe you're fighting a spirit of suicide right now. Maybe there are demonic forces that you don't even understand. Things are tormenting you. You can't sleep at night. Uh, listen, I want to challenge you to surrender to Jesus. If you surrender your mind, your body, your life, your soul to God, demons will have to flee. You've already won the victory. Maybe someone is in a fight financially. You don't know how you're going to get out. This— I just want you to repeat this after me. Glory to God. Even if you already say— repeat this after me, because I decree and declare today that you will move from this hearing, whether live or by replay, from a place of salvation— glory to the name of God— to a place of abundant victory, and a place to more and more victories in every area of your life, because you walk of Jesus. Say this with me. Say, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, say, I open my heart and I allow you full control. Say, I truly believe you died and you rose again. Say, Jesus, you're my Savior, you're my King, you're my Lord. Say, I am saved. See this? I have victory. Over every attack of the enemy. Therefore, I am fighting from victory in Jesus' name.
