Kingdom Worship Part 2: Understanding the Principles of Worship | Dr. Mike Woods Sr. | Radah Church

Dr. Mike Woods Sr. teaches that Kingdom worship is a spiritual passport to God's Kingdom, built on three elements: humility, submission, and physical response. He compares worship principles to immutable laws like gravity, arguing that obeying them brings joy and divine reward while breaking them causes spiritual decay.

And listen, if you're excited about change and transformation, none of us know everything. As a matter of fact, the Bible says We'll be ever learning and coming into the knowledge of truth. That's one thing that we're going to go to heaven with. We're going to always be learning. We don't know everything. So I want you to take the position of a learner. There's a lot of entertainment on the internet. This live, this YouTube, this podcast— I'm sorry, it is not that. But if you really want to be enlightened and empowered and edified to go to another dimension, and if things are of God, you're in the right place. So I want to teach today, we're continuing our series on Kingdom Worship. And listen, worship is a vital principle that is necessary to unlocking the heavens and— watch this— building a strong spirit-to-spirit relationship with the King. So we're going to talk about today the principles of worship. Stay with me and listen, it's going to be phenomenal. So go ahead and share this I'm gonna play a video right now that I believe will just give you a little intro to where we're going in this series this month and into November, because I know we're not going to finish it. I want you to grab this, man, because this is an important key to our future as people of God. I love you. God bless you. Let's go into this teaching right after this video. Share this right now, and I promise you You'll be blessed for doing so. I love you all. God bless you. Someone proposed a question to me. What is Kingdom Worship? And I said to them, in the simplest terms, Kingdom Worship is our human passport that authorizes us access to the Kingdom of God. Do you know there are so many believers who are saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Spirit, and never have really accessed the resources, the blessings of the kingdom. And most of all, they haven't even accessed the King for real. You know, God's greatest desire for us as humans is for us to have a spirit-to-spirit relationship with him. As a matter of fact, not only is it God's greatest desire, it's our greatest need. God wants to have a spirit-to-spirit relationship with every one of us that revolutionizes our life as we know it. Now, you know, everything created was created to actually exist in its environment. So the birds were created to live in the air. Animals were created to live in the dust of the ground and in the bush and in jungles. Fish were created to live in the sea. They exist better in their environments. Take them out of their environments and their life is totally out of order. Man is no different. Our ideal environment is the presence of God. God created the environment of his presence so we can dwell in it and experience the fullness of relationship with him. Our ideal environment is the presence of God. Now listen, sin separated us and continues to separate us from the fullness of this culture, from the fullness of experiencing God's presence. And after salvation, only worship, which is God's gift to humankind can restore us to our original culture and bring us back to our home country. Bottom line, kingdom worship is our only guarantee that the King will show up in our lives. All right, well, praise God again. I am super excited and super amped to be here today and to share the word of the Lord with you. And yes, worship is the only guarantee that we can encounter and have interaction with the King. Let us pray, and we're going to go into this teaching. And I promise you, again, this month and into November is going to be tremendously valuable to your relationship and your walk with God. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, We thank you, Lord, for another opportunity to teach, to preach your word, to share your goodness with these, your people. I pray, God, as we disseminate this principle called worship, this kingdom idea, that as we share it, that the learner, as we receive it— and God, even as I'm teaching, I'm learning. And so, God, I pray that even as I teach and your people learn, that you will give me the articulation to ideate through through the auspices of the Holy Ghost, and give those that receive the ability to ideate, to take the words that are being spoken and ideate them and come up with innovation and ideas on how to apply these words to their life. And secondly, I pray God that you would give them strategy. Yes, Lord, on how to deliberately walk these things out. And then thirdly, to execute them in application so that everything that we teach can be a manifested reality in their lives. And I ask you for it now, God. Let us experience the light, the illumination, and the intelligence of the Holy Spirit. And we praise you for it now in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Hallelujah. Whoo! God bless you all. Man, I feel the anointing of God. Thank you for your anointing now. Hallelujah, Father. Thank you for what you're going to do right now in Jesus' name. Whoo, I heard that. I heard that. Mm. There's somebody watching right now, whether live or by replay. I don't know who you are. Glory to the name of God. But I just heard the Holy Spirit say, uh, oh, I need you to receive this word of knowledge. Glory to God. That as we teach the word, so Stay with me. Healing is going— Oshia! Healing is going to come through this stream into your body. And I'm looking at a lady that has went to the doctor and you have had— they found lumps in your breast. They did a biopsy and it showed that you had cancer. But the Lord said, even as you watch and hear this word today, I don't know who you are, either live or by replay. You could type it in the comments, or you could, if you want to be private, inbox me so I can continue to pray for you. But I believe God right now that your body, sheba, ruske, po, subeke, is being healed now. In the name of Jesus. And I bless you and I honor you and I praise you and I give you glory in Jesus' mighty name. Hallelujah. I'm looking at someone else, a single mother. Yes, God, I hear you. Hallelujah. You have a son. 16 years of age. He's ventured into a lifestyle that you have not raised him in. He's become involved in the dealing of drugs. He's gathered around him violent individuals that could threaten his very life. But the Lord told me to tell you, Oshia Ba Baboku, the seedbeds of word and guidance that you have placed in him. In this season of his life, they're going to come alive. And God said he's going to give the increase to that young man. Yes, God, I hear you in, in the areas of salvation and deliverance. And he's going to come to God. He's going to become serious about his studies. He's going to grow into this intelligent human being that literally revolutionized the world. So, mother, the Lord said, don't worry, don't you fret. I have your son in my hand, said the Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Ah, yeah. So let's go into this message. Glory to God. We taught the introductory message on last week, so if you missed that, please go and watch that. It was an introductory teaching about going higher in worship or staying back with the asses, and we talked about that from Genesis 22. It was a powerful teaching. Make sure you go back and watch that. But this series on Kingdom Worship, this is actually message number 1, uh, outside of the introduction. And I want to talk today about the principles of Kingdom Worship. First of all, let me share with you, this entire series will be based in this premise, in the idea, in the fact that Kingdom Worship— hear me— is the human passport Listen, that authorizes us to access the Kingdom of God while on Earth. Let me tell you something. Many humans will never in their lifetime, while they are alive, access the Kingdom of God and the King. And I'm going to tell you why. Because they are gripped by religion. Religion has a way of keeping you out of the realities that surround God and his kingdom. Religion never empowers. Religion never catapults you or pushes you into dimensions beyond your intelligence. Oh my God, it never pushes you in dimensions beyond what you view or perceive to be normal. And so worship becomes a passport that ushers us into a place. Oh my God. That is beyond glory to the name of God. Hallelujah. What we've known in our natural ability to know things. So hear this, man. So when you start talking about a passport and I'm going to put some scripture in the middle on the end. So stay with me. Listen, when you start talking about a passport, I've traveled out of the country on many occasions, and anytime you leave the United States, you need a passport. That passport has two purposes. Number one, it has the purpose of identification. It identifies who you are. Oh my God. Hallelujah. It says that you are who you say you are because that passport has verified in the system of verification is trusted by governments all over the world that if you're holding a passport with your picture in it and it gives the information about who you are, the system— listen to me— is trusted that this is who you are. Stay with me. I'm going somewhere. Secondly, a passport in the natural identifies citizenship, who you are and where you come from. Two things it does. Now, when it comes to worship being a passport, it actually has a dual function as well. It, number one, identifies who I am. First of all, if I am worshiping God, hallelujah, if I am reverencing Jesus as my king, and I am out of my spirit extolling him and sublimating him and honoring him as the Lord of my life, this now identifies me, hear me, as a child of God. Do you realize worship is a mark of identification? If you are a believer, the way you worship, how you worship, my God, identifies who you worship. So listen, Muslims worship different than kingdom citizens, than Christians. Buddhists worship different than kingdom citizens and Christians here. And the main difference is our worship culminates with an encounter with the God we worship. Oh my God. I haven't met a Buddhist, and I've met some. I haven't met a Muslim, and I've met many. Glory to God. I haven't met a Jehovah's Witness or a religious person who claims they worship God, who goes through the motions, the entertainment, the exercises of worship. Hallelujah. I haven't met one that had a real encounter with God if their worship wasn't sincere and born out of their true identity as a son or daughter of God. Once you realize and you identify with yourself, I'm a son or daughter of God, I can worship God purely out of my heart, out of my soul, and out of my spirit. Lord have mercy. Oh my God. Oh my God. Listen, you need to catch this. So, and also when I'm worshiping on the flip side, Worship identifies my citizenship because my worship as a kingdom citizen toward the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. I don't deny that Buddha is a god, but our God is the God of gods. I don't deny that Mohammed is a god, but the God I worship is the God of gods. Mohammed is a small g god. Our God is a big G God. He is the only wise God. And so my citizenship is not of earth. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia at Grady Hospital. Glory to God. Hallelujah. But my citizenship hails and reigns from heaven. So when I worship, my worship becomes the key of David in my life. Hallelujah. And as I teach this series, there's a teaching I'm going to do on the key of David, a powerful key that unlocks the realm of Heaven that brings me back to my home country. So again, Kingdom worship is my human passport that authorizes me for access. Hallelujah! In the Kingdom of God. The Bible said the Kingdom of God is within me. So that means every time I worship, I can go into the Kingdom that God has planted in me and begin to have a spirit to spirit relationship with God while I'm here on earth. Oh my God, I just said a lot in the thesis of this teaching because I want you to grab— this teaching is about not telling you that if you shout— and it's a lot of preachers out here that want to shout you to death. And the church literally, hear me, has— and I'm not against dancing, I grew up Pentecostal and we dance all the time, glory to God. But here's the understanding we have. Is that praise, dancing, which is praise, hallelujah, is a vehicle that leads me to the place called worship. I'm a— am I? Oh my. So my dancing and my bodily exercise and my praise, my singing and my hallelujah, my hollering and my crying and all of that stuff should be a vehicle that brings me to the place called worship. And this is where we want to be because we have perfected praise, man. But we need to get to the point where we can go to the next step because our worship should culminate with an encounter. Listen, if you're singing, if you're dancing, if your lifting of hands does not culminate with the encounter with God, with the King, with his resources, with his hand extending into your world, then you have literally— hear me— done a vain thing. Let's move. So let's get some etymology in this first message, because again, today we're talking about the principles of worship. So let's first— we got two words: kingdom worship. That's what this series is. Is. So let's first talk about kingdom. What is kingdom? You have people use this word a lot in the church, especially today. They read a book and they really don't understand this concept. So I want to give you some etymology. Let's get a working definition of kingdom. The Greek word for kingdom is basileia. It is— basileia is the king's reign. It is the realm where the king dominates, rules, or reigns sovereignly. So in the kingdom, the king has full authority. He is the only one that has control. In the kingdom, what the king says goes. I'mma say that again. In the kingdom, what the king says goals. Can I say it once more? In the kingdom, what the king say— I didn't say the church, I said the kingdom. And watch this, the church should be governed and ruled by the king's way of doing things. So watch this, in the kingdom, again, the king sovereignly rules in the kingdom. Now, in a kingdom There are two non-negotiable things. There must, number one, be a realm, the king's dom, or the king's domain, the king's dominion, again, basilia. So that's his realm. A king has to have a territory. He has to have a place that he rules. Glory to God. Can I submit to you that God is not only the king of heaven, but he's the king of the earth. The Bible says, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And by virtue of the fact that he created it, he declared that he is also the king of the earth. The scripture clearly states that verbatim, that God, the Lord God, is the king of the earth. So here's where we've gone wrong. We've missed that reality and we've taken the earth as our own. And we begin to do our own things and live according to our own accordance. So you got to have a realm. A king has to have a realm, and you got to have a king. A realm without a king is automatic disorder. And this is why the world has so much disorder now, because we have unplugged and disconnected from the desires, the rules and the way of the king. Ha! Oh my God, help me, Jesus. We have unplugged once again and disconnected from the constitution of the kingdom of God. Watch this. Every kingdom has a constitution, a set of laws, a set of principles that that kingdom is ruled or operated by. The kingdom constitution for the kingdom of God is the Bible. And the moment we unplug and begin to create doctrines of devils and seducing spirits— y'all ain't got to hear me, hallelujah— that are now emerging in the earth in great number. Hear me. And they're teaching erroneous teachings and trying to base them out of a constitution. I even heard one ignorant person say that the old canon that we teach out of is erroneous and that we need to write a new canon. That tells me that person— oh, y'all ain't got to hear me— never tasted God. Never had a relationship with God because the— and never really truly worship God. Oh my God, when you could tell me God can be a woman, God is a tree, God is the sun. No, he's a king. Hallelujah. And because you've never encountered him, you can make him anything, something you want him to be in the figment of your imagination. But when you tap in, my God, to the realities of worship. Yes, God, when you tap into the realities of worship and become real— see, there's too many fake people in the church, it's too many phony folk. And then that's why you got people that look at church folk and don't want to be saved and don't want to walk with God because too many of y'all phony. You're fake. You go to church, you shout, you dance, you go through the motions. Fake, fake, fake, fake. Faker than some of these Gucci and Louis purchases that's flying around. God have mercy. Just fake. No quality, no authenticity, no encounter with God. Listen, that's a problem. It's a problem because people need to be saved. It's a problem because people need to be filled with the Holy Ghost. It's a problem because people need real encounters with God and they can't get them because we got too many people around here faking the funk. Fake, fake, fake. And I'm telling you right now, you ought to make up in your mind, I don't want to be fake anymore. Anymore. I don't just— because you can blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and you, you go through the motions, don't mean that what you're doing is real. Because many of you are following patterns that you were taught by men, the only thing they knew, because their predecessors never had real encounters. Oh my God. Ah, yes, God. You need real encounters, and you can only learn that from someone that's been there. They're gonna be adamant about it. But if you listen to somebody telling you we need a new canon so we can agree that homosexuality is okay, that lesbianism is okay, that being a hoe is okay— no, and none of this is okay. Hallelujah, hallelujah! There principles we must live by, but born— hear me— out of the realities of real worship. I'll say it again, real worship. So I'm again, I'm in introduction. Let's, let's get a definition of worship. Let me, let me move because prophetically this stream that's opened over me is crazy right now. And I may just get off into something else, but I need to teach this. Spirit of the Prophet, subject to the Prophet. Let me, let me, let me move. Glory to God. So there are two ideas. You look at the word worship in Hebrew, it is the word shakak, and it means to bow down as an inferior to a superior. You will never truly worship until you view God as a superior for real. As long as you believe in your conscious mind that the superior person in your life is you— because let me tell you something, on this planet humans have been indoctrinated to believe that they are in control of themselves and they are the most a superior person to themselves. Now granted, you are in control of your life because God is going to— watch this— allow your free will to make choices. He's not going to force you to make him superior. That's how he created you. He wants to be chosen. Oh, he, uh, yeah, he won't. So real worship starts with choosing God and saying, God, I bow down my life, my intelligence, my existence, and I become inferior to your life, your intelligence, your existence. And all I want is what you want. So worship is not 3 fast songs, 2 slow songs. The church model today has taught that if you want to grow your church, 3 fast, 2 slow. Okay, but God, that's not really worship. That's a worship service. Glory to God. And that's a way to keep worship in a time span of 15 minutes, basically. Hallelujah. Well, you got 3 minutes per song, pretty much. And then you go into— so you can keep your service a certain time limit. But listen, that's— and that's not what we're talking about today. I want you to understand something. It's more than singing. Worship is more than crying. It's more than a slow song where you just repeat the vamp over and over until everybody feels good. It's more than dancing until you're tired and can't stand up. No, all that doesn't matter if you have not put in perspective for real that God God is superior and you are inferior to him. And every part of your life, not just in church when you're singing, when you're dancing, when you're preaching, when you're teaching, but every part of your life should suggest, God, you're superior, I'm inferior to you. Hallelujah. Because you see the beauty of that humility. So the Greek idea— so that was shakak, to bow down as an inferior to a superior. The Greek idea is proskuo. Proskuo is what we get words like proskynatus, which is to lay prostrate or kneel down. Watch this. In honor of a superior. Watch this. It means to give honor that brings intimacy. The idea is when one would go before a natural king and kiss the hand or kiss the ring of the king because they knew they were in a superior's presence, and in order to gain his audience And in order to feel close to the king and his authority, they kiss the ring. So Proskuo says, I deliberately— here's where the singing comes in, here's where praying comes in— I create an atmosphere of honor toward my superior. And listen, most churches you go in today, they really don't create an atmosphere of honor. My wife and I was out to dinner with two of our friends on yesterday, and we were sharing about worship. And the reality— and my wife began to say, you know, since I've been with my husband and been in a part of our church, and I just was listening because listening to her talk at at how she's grown and what has happened in her life. And this is a woman that's been saved all her life, filled with the Holy Ghost, a praying woman that loves God. She said, "I truly learned what it means to worship." And that wasn't about the song. She said, "I've truly learned what it means to be intimate with God so I can hear Him." I know that my— she said, "I know that my experience is real because it's a result of what I deliberately do in making sure that I have encounters with God." Listen, you're not gonna— it's not just gonna happen. And most churches I go in, the atmosphere is not conducive to honor God. Oh, it's more conducive in many occasions to honor the preacher, to honor the man, when in actuality the atmosphere ought to be be conducive to honor the Lord, to honor the Lord. And whatever God says goes. So kingdom worship is the realm where the king sovereignly rules, and his family, who are his inferiors, honor him deliberately, period. Again, it's the realm where the king sovereignly rules and the king's family honors him deliberately as inferiors to a superior. That's kingdom worship. Now watch this. The Anglo-Saxon idea of worship is similar because what it means is worth scope. The Anglo-Saxon word means worth scope. Worship— worth-ship scope. Uh, relationship— relation scope. The scope of relations. Worship— worth scope. So here's what I need you to understand. We put value on God based on our revelation of him. That's why Jesus said the time is here and it is now where we will not worship God, hallelujah, out of the flesh. But we, we, we— he is looking for the true worshiper, the one that will worship him in spirit and in truth. Wow. He's looking for the true worshiper that will worship him in truth. What is your scope? What is your revelation? And watch this, I always say where there's no revelation, there's always violation. If you don't have a revelation of God, you're going to violate him. You're going to violate yourself because you're not going to worship him like he's superior. Your life daily won't be an act of worship. You think worship should just happen when you get to the church. You should— you think worship is just happening when you sing? No, worship is a culture, an atmosphere of honor where you live in the realm of the kingdom. And because God is in the kingdom, worship is automatic, because you can't be where God is and not worship him. So now everything in your life becomes an act of worship— what you say, what you do, where you go, who you entertain. You do it so you can maintain homage and commitment and faithfulness to God. Oh, Lord have mercy. Let me get out of here. My time is about gone, I'm telling you. So let's discuss these principles of worship, and we're going to talk a little bit about what principles— 3 elements that must exist in worship. All right. And then we're going to jump right into what principles are, because we're talking again today about the principles of kingdom worship. I've already given you now some definitive value, some etymology. Now I want to give you 3 principles that should be resident in worship at all times so that your life is reflecting worship. And then at the end of this, I'm going to talk really about principles and how principles apply to worship. Sounds long, but I'm not gonna be long. So here's the first element that must exist in worship every single time, whether it's when you wake up in the morning and start getting dressed and making decisions about your life and your day, or whether you're in church singing and your hands are lifted. These elements have to be present so that you can present yourself as an inferior to a superior. Are you hearing me? I need you to grab this, man. I can't be nobody but me. And listen, I want you to understand, I'm— I got to teach this word to you because you got to touch him for real. So here's the first element. Let's move, let's move. The first element is humility. Humility. The Bible says that God rejects the proud, but he exalts the humble. So, so, so let's deal with that. He rejects the proud, which means you cannot come— you cannot worship God when you're so proud and arrogant that you think you're the superior of your life and you don't have to consult consult God about everything. See, when you're worshiping, honoring God with your life, you consult him about everything. I didn't say some things, I said everything. About who you hang with, where you go, what you do, what you say, what you listen to. You consult. See, you don't want to do that, but that's why you don't have encounters. That's why you're still questioning whether God is real because you're too arrogant to submit your whole life, to present your whole body, your whole bios, your whole biology, your whole living being as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. You want an encounter? You want to experience the kingdom in your life for real? You got to humble yourself. It doesn't happen for arrogant people. Arrogance leads to aloneness. Watch this. It literally— God rejects the proud. So the first person that leaves is God. And then what you'll find with arrogant people, they end up divorced a lot. Y'all not talking to me here because they were too arrogant to submit to their spouse, to submit to the laws of the relationship. You can't have 5, 10 hoes on the side cheating on your wife and think that your marriage is going to work. No, that's arrogant of you to believe that. It's lofty of you to think you can have a harem of hoes and that your marriage ain't going to fall apart. That's arrogant. So most men that do that, guess what? They end up by themselves. Ha ha ha. Oh boy. Oh boy. Yeah, I said it. You can't do it, man. Arrogance leads to aloneness. Your children don't want to have nothing to do with you because you're arrogant. Oh my God, oh my God, you're too arrogant. So not only does God reject you, but everybody starts rejecting you. You can't hold a job because you, you can't respect your boss enough to work for him, show up on time, do what the man say do, because your arrogance leads to aloneness. Watch this. Your aloneness ultimately leads to abortion because now, because you're not humble, you abort your original authentic purpose. Abortion means to kill something before it has a chance to live, to abort it, to take it away, to put it to death before it has a chance to experience the life planned. Hmm. Many of you have aborted your dreams because of arrogance, because you cannot fulfill purpose in isolation. So you start aborting. Hallelujah. Because you ain't got nobody to help you because nobody wants to help you. Nobody wants to be around you because you're arrogant. And watch this. Oh my God. There are some people only believe you're arrogant. You think people owe you something. Because of what you've been through. You think people owe you something because of how hard your life has been. No, get over it. You need to humble yourself, okay? Because nobody owes you anything. You don't get to be bitter. You don't get to be mean. You don't get to be nasty to everybody that you see just because you got problems in your life. And that again is why you do not have encounters with God, because you walk around in this arrogant state that does not exemplify humility, it leads to abortion. Then abortion leads to adventurism. Once you abort the original authentic plan, now you start taking adventurous risks with your life, everybody else's life. You're running from this business to that business, this job to that job, doing this, doing— you're an adventurous— you all over the place, can't focus on nothing. Because you walk in arrogance and God says, I need you to humble yourself. Because watch this. Oh, arrogance leads to aloneness. Aloneness leads to abortion. Abortion leads to adventurism. Adventurism leads to adultery. Adultery is not just— it's not just sexual unfaithfulness to a married person. Adultery means, listen to me, to be satisfied by something that doesn't belong to you. So now that you've aborted the real thing because of your arrogance and your aloneness and you're an adventurous, you now have become satisfied with whatever. And that ain't how God called you to live. You shouldn't just be satisfied with some mundane friendships or in some marriage that God didn't call you to be in. You should be satisfied. You're not talking, taking classes, working a job that's not your authentic purpose. You, you should want to be where you're supposed to be. Listen, I have a motto. I never want to be where God was. I want to be where God is. I'm trying. I'm not teaching what somebody told me. I'm teaching what I live. I've seen arrogance ruin my life. But thank God I learned humility. And guess what I learned about it? God rejects the proud, but he exalts the humble. So when I humbly come to God in worship and I bow down to him as an inferior to a superior, and I humble myself before an awesome God— hallelujah— because he is an awesome God. Hallelujah. I dare somebody type in the comments— I ain't told you to type in them, but you probably should have already been typing this stuff— type in the comments, he is He is an awesome God. Hallelujah. If you ain't ashamed and don't mind nobody knowing that you believe he's an awesome God, I dare you humble yourself and just type in those comments, he is an awesome God. You know what awesome means? It means I stand in awe of everything he does. There's nothing he cannot do that does not awe us. He is an awesome God. He leaves your mouth hanging open. Being open when he moves. That's why you ought to humble yourself and come before an awesome God with worship. Listen, he's worthy of our complete surrender. Listen, C.S. Lewis said this, and I quote, he says, pride is the complete anti-God state of mind, and humility is the antidote. My God, end quote. He said pride is the anti-God state of mind. So the moment you start moving in arrogance, you're moving in a secular realm, because to be secular means to be anti-God. Anything is secular is against God, is anti-God. My God. And you— that's— oh my God, ain't gonna go there, ain't gonna go there, ain't got time to go there. But you got to understand, God doesn't want us living in this realm of anti-humility. Shout humility! Shout humility! Glory to God! Shout humility! Touch yourself and say, I'm humble. Glory to God! I dare you type it in the comments. I am a humble person. Glory to God! And say, God can use me. Glory to God! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Oh, Shabaya! Thank you, God! Thank you, God! Listen, if we are to worship properly, it must begin with humility. Second element I Come on, my time is about gone. It's submission. Listen, worship is about submission of ourselves to the purpose and the plans and the goals and the desires of our King. I'll say it again: worship is about submitting ourself to the purpose, to the plans, to the goals, and to the desires of our King. Listen, the Bible says in Proverbs 19:21, many are the plans, the goals, the dreams, the ideas in a man's heart. Nevertheless, it's the Lord's purpose that stands forever. So worship says, I'm going to submit not to the plans that I feel I can do, I'm qualified to do, not to what I want to to do. But you have to make up your mind if you're going to have real God encounters, because watch this. Sin is not just fornication, adultery, lying, cheating, cussing, drinking. No, the word sin is harmēsia in Greek. It means to miss the mark. Matter of fact, the scripture says all unrighteousness is sin. Oh my God. Y'all hear me? All unrighteousness is sin. All harmēsia, coming short, missing the mark. Are not moving in the purpose of God, you cannot be committing adultery. You cannot be lying, cheating, stealing. Are y'all hearing me? You, you could not be doing any of the big sins, as they call them, and not walking in purpose, and you still in sin. But submission says, God, I submit myself to your goals, your plans, your dreams for me. Oh my God, real worship through submission is about saying, God, I'm gonna dream with you, and whatever you want, I want. I dare you, type in the comments, God, whatever you want, I want. Come on, type it in the comments again. God, whatever you want, ho, I want. Good God Almighty. Hallelujah! See, bowing before our King in submission is recognition not only of his superior authority and ability in our life, but it also says to God, you have the right to command me to obey you. Oh God. So when you submit to God in worship and lifting your hands and singing, you should remember you're saying to God, you got the right to tell me what to do. You got the right, Jesus, to control my life. You got the right to have your way in me, whatever you want. Here we go again. God, I want— huh. It's your responsibility to be submissive enough to be obedient to God. Number 3, I got to move. Worship is not just about humility and submission. It's also about physical response. Worship is not just an inward heart response. Listen, our hearts and bodies are closely connected. So when I physically bow down or lift my hands and open my mouth and sing or physically live out my life in an attitude of worship, It helps my heart to submit because I knew everything I'm doing, I'm doing it as unto God, which means you just can't have a statue ministry in the church. You know, some people just come around and look around and say, you know, I'm just worshiping God in my heart, you know, God knows my heart. Listen, yeah, he do, he really does. And if your heart was really submitted and connected to God, there has to be a physical response because worship is demonstrative. I don't have time today to get into all the physical responses, but throughout this teaching, I'm going to share with you some physical responses, not just in the church with our lifting of hands and our saying thank you and our singing and our dancing and all of that. I'm going to show you how to physically respond on a day-to-day basis in your activities, in an attitude of worship while you're working, while you're signing deals, while you're building your business, making it all an act of worship unto God. You know why most people who are popular today— hear me— they're building kingdoms unto themselves and their followers. I know you popular preacher don't want me to say this, but it's true, because if you don't like it, it's because this fits you. And if the shoe fits, wear it. Because guess what? I'm good. I don't need to preach for none of y'all. Glory to God, the King's got me. None of you. Listen, but here's what I want you to understand. Glory to the name of God. You'd be blessed if you have me preach, but I don't need to preach for none of y'all. So I'm gonna tell the truth. The reality is most of you are building kingdoms to yourself, and you're building platforms on entertainment that's driving people to you, your talent, your ability, your gift. Watch this, the praise break is the thing of the day. Your ability to hoop people. Listen, I've been preaching for 35 years. I done praise break probably more people than all of you. But at the end of the day, most of it was to make me feel good and to give praise to God. And I got the people up. But listen, at the end of the day, it should never be about you. You should be in business to make God popular. You, every time you open your mouth, it ought to be to make God bigger. Woo! God, to magnify him and to draw people closely, to make them physically respond to your physical response to him. My teaching today is a physical response to God. It's sacrifice, it's worship. I understand that. Because he's superior over me and I'm inferior to him. And so I take the time to sacrifice and work. God knows I— he know my heart. I'd rather be swinging a golf club right now, but at the end of the day, I have to give him what's his. And most people are driving people to them and not to him. Listen, if y'all— if you're doing that, just stop and repent and drive people to God. It's made you a lot of money. All right, you got the money. Now drive people to God. Come on, stop making it about you and make it about the King so that the physical response of the world— people will come to God and not to you. The Bible said no man come to the Father except he suguru, draw, drag them. You're the thing he uses to draw them to him. You messed up and started liking the attention, the likes, the comments. Oh my God, y'all ain't got to say nothing. The things people say about your preaching, the invitations to preach, you start liking it a little too much and now you're drawing people to you. Be careful. There are men in history who have been way more successful than you listening, and they fell to the ground. Ah, A.A. Allen was a great preacher, teacher. Can't take anything away from the work and the miracles that A.A. Allen worked through his hand. But A.A. Allen died because he had a disease in his body that was produced from drinking too much alcohol, and God exposed that at the end. God will show you that a man is a man when you make him a god, because he says, I have no other gods before me, because he wants physical response to be to him, that people respond to your preaching, your teaching, your singing, and they go to him and not you. Some of you've lost that and you've forgotten why you were called, why you were anointed in the first place. Physical response. So God is a God of principle. Let's move. I got to get out of here, man. So what is a principle, Michael Woods? We're talking about the principles of worship. So I want to give you an understanding of principle so you understand just how powerful this tool of kingdom worship is. As we go through this series, you understand it is a principle that works every time. A principle is a law that is established to preserve and protect a created thing. Hallelujah! That's the first piece. So a principle is a law that is established to preserve and protect a created thing. So God puts principles in place to preserve you, to protect you. It also is there— principles are, are there to assure your maximum performance, to ensure that you get the most out of what you're doing. Doing. So again, and a principle is a law, it works every time the same way. The law of gravity is gonna work every time. What goes up is going to come down. And now watch this, an airplane has instrumentation in it that helps it defy the law of gravity because it institutes another law called the law of lift that helps the plane stay in the air. But you got to understand, the presence of the principle is still there, because the moment the law of lift or the instrumentation in the airplane fails, you have what is called a plane crash, because what goes up is going to come down. That's the law. That's the principle. Come on, man. The reality is God puts the principle of worship in place to preserve our relationship with him and to protect us. Watch this. From worldly influence and worldly ways of living when we should be governed by the kingdom. And the principle of worship is in place so that we can have maximum performance in the purpose that God has placed on our life. Hallelujah. God is a God of principles. Listen, the Bible is filled with kingdom laws that produce great reward. So when we consider Psalms 19:7-11, we discover that there are some characteristics here of principles. And as I read this, I'm going to interchange the word law for principle, because again, the idea of law is principle. It's not something to legalistically govern you. It's principles, again, to preserve and protect. Hallelujah! Let me tell you something, a lot of people are alive that should have been shot Because there's a law, a principle that exists in the earth, that if you kill someone, you're going to jail. And if you kill them, you're probably either going to jail for life, or you're going to jail and then you're going to get the electric chair. So most people who want to kill somebody— y'all not talking— think about that law, and they don't kill them. There's some people just crazy and kill people anyway, but the end of the day, people that have respect respect for the principle. That principle has preserved life. Y'all not saying nothing. Oh, many a case. I promise you, the principle of law concerning murder and how it preserves and protects humans on Earth has saved more lives than has been taken because of people who didn't observe it. Because the principles work. Let's look Psalm 19, verses 7 through 11. Let's read. The Bible says the principles of the Lord are perfect. So hear this, the principles of the Lord has no flaw, they are perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes, or the principles of the Lord, are trustworthy. So number 2, the principles of the Lord are trust— number 1, the principles of the Lord are perfect. Hallelujah. They have no flaw, they are trustworthy. You can trust the laws of God. Hear this, making wise the simple. The principles of the Lord are right. So they're perfect, they're trustworthy. And number 3, they are right. And because they are right, they give joy to the heart. So when you walk according to the principles of God, they should bring joy to your heart. Oh my God. The principles of the Lord, hear me, are radiant. So not only are they perfect, trustworthy, right, hallelujah, they are also radiant. And the Bible says here that they give light to the eyes. Oh my God. So the principle of the Lord brings revelation. Light is revelation. It's illumination. It's spiritual intelligence. So when you worship and you operate in the principle of the worshiper, oh my God, the kingdom worshiper, it gives you illumination concerning kingdom living and kingdom operations and how to live out your life the way God will have you live it. Watch this. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances or the principles of the Lord are sure. And altogether righteous. So not only are the principles of the Lord perfect, trustworthy, simple— y'all not talking to me here— right, hallelujah, radiant, glory to the name of God. Not only are they that, but they are righteous. The Bible says they are more precious than gold, they are more pure than gold, and they are sweeter than honey. They are honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned, and in them— watch this— there is great reward. So walking according to the principles of the kingdom— and worship is a principle, it's just one of many laws that I will teach about more in the future, and I've taught about in the past— but if you walk according to principle, kingdom principle, the Bible says there is great reward. Oh God, it says it's purer than honey in a honeycomb, is more precious than gold. Are you hearing this? It's clean, it's pure, there's no toxic in it. It only becomes unpure when man starts taking the principles of God and impurifying them and intoxicating them with his thoughts, his carnal wisdom, to make him feel good, to draw people to him, saying we need another canon, we need another Bible, we need to rewrite it. Oh my sister, that lady that said that was on a platform with a bishop, a bishop, an apostle, a prophet, and all of them were in agreement. They were saying the same stuff. Ridiculous. I don't care if y'all don't like me or not. I don't care. I don't need to be on your platform. I don't care. I'm gonna say what God has me saying. If people need to hear it, gonna hear it. Here's what you need to understand. You think that because you never had a real encounter. Your encounter was based on your emotional experience and tap dancing and jumping up and down, and it never led to an encounter. Your worship experience did not culminate with an encounter with the King. So you believe that maybe what you were doing wasn't working because you weren't doing it right. Because you never really had a relationship with him. It was based in your flesh. It was based on entertainment. It was based on you trying to build stairs for yourself and build a platform for yourself. Oh my God. And you never encountered the true and living God. I'm so thankful that through principle I've encountered God for real, and I encounter them on a day-to-day basis. I don't ever want to be where God was. I've been there, done that. I always want to be where God is. I gotta quit, y'all. So we understand principles. You understand that all principles then have characteristics. Again, I gave you some. The principles are perfect, they're trustworthy, They're radiant. Hallelujah. They're right. They're pure. And because of this, I'm going to give you— I'm going to give you a few things. Glory to God. I got a little time. Principles are number one. Hear this. And you can type this in the comments because I want you to understand kingdom principles. Principles are permanent, like humans and oxygen. You need oxygen to live on Earth. Y'all not talking to me here. It's a principle. It's a law. Without oxygen, you will die. It's a principle. God gave the moon purpose. Oh, God, help me. To give light by night. He spoke a word, a principle. He said, moon, you be a light by night. Spoke to the sun. And says, Son, you be light by day. And watch this. His word is so powerful. The sun has never come out at night. The moon has never come out in day because it obeys the principle of the Creator. What more you to obey his authentic plan and desire for you? Holy— just like he gave a word to the moon and the light, there's a word for your life. You got to get in an encounter so you can hear it, because principles are permanent. Secondly, principles are constant. They never change, like the law of gravity. Again, like the law of lift, they're constant. They never change. Watch this. Principles work anywhere. You could have water in Alaska and water in Hawaii. If the temperature in Hawaii happens to drop to 10 below, the water in Hawaii is going to freeze because that's what water does when it is cold. It freezes. If in Alaska it gets to be 100 degrees, the glaciers will melt, the ice lakes will melt, and the water will become warm because that's what water does when it is heated. Hear me, the principle works anywhere. So principles work anywhere. If you worship in your house, if you worship in your car, if you worship in your lifestyle, in your profession, guess what? The results of worship work anywhere. They don't need a specific place. Come on, church! Worship works anywhere. I said again, it works anywhere, anywhere, any place, any time. Watch this. Principles number 4: protect the product. So principles in place to protect the product. Okay, I have Mac computers in the studio, but there's a principle in place that says in the manufacturer's manual principle: do not put this machine in water or it will permanently damage it. That's a principle. That's a law. If I go against that principle, I violated the protection order, and it— when my computers will no longer be protected because I went against the law, the principle. Principles in place, again, to preserve you, to protect you. Oh my God, look, there are care labels in your clothing. If it says dry clean only, I suggest you obey the label and don't put it in the washing machine if it says dry clean only, because you're going to damage that garment just as sure as the world. Come on, church. Principles. Hallelujah. Protect the product. I'm just trying to help you understand principles. Number 5, principles can never be broken. Hallelujah! They can never be broken because if— again, if you go against it, you're going to reap the repercussion of what the principle said it's supposed to be done. If you kill somebody, the principle say you go to jail. Glory to God! It's going to happen if they find the gun and your fingerprints on the gun. That's evidence you going to jail, period, point blank, end of story. Listen, when principles are violated, they cause inherent destruction or consequence. They have judgment. Watch this. The principle of fire is heat. If you set something on fire, it's going to burn because of the heat. The judgment is there. You don't have to to tell fire to be hot. The principle is built innately in the fire. It's— it was created to be hot. So inside of the principle of worship, the inherent principles that are released when you worship. So God uses principles as his exchange system, and I'm closing, between heaven and earth. I'll say it again: God uses principles as his exchange system between heaven and earth. Our relationship with God, in both our perception of him and our response to him— watch this— is based on how we respond to principles. Listen, you can talk all you want the principles, but until you can live them, that's a whole different story. You could say the Bible says, you could preach it until the paint comes off the wall or to the building falls flat to the ground. Hear me, hear me. But if you can't live it, come on now, you are— my God— are going to be a castaway yourself. You could preach it to others and they can get it and live it and get the results, but you, you don't apply it. Your life is going to be in shambles. I've been there, man. I preach principles to people. I've been preaching 35 years full-time. I preach principles to people and watch them get blessed from what I was preaching. And because my life wasn't where it needed to be at the time, I missed things because I wasn't applying it to my own life. I had the principle, had the word. Others were getting it, others were applying it, being blessed, and I was missing it. Yeah, yeah, because how you respond and your perception is based on how you respond to principle. What you get, your reward— we just read it— it's connected to principles. Oh my God, listen, obedience to principles carry great rewards. Hear me when I close. Kingdom worship is a principle that unlocks— y'all not saying much— the Kingdom of Heaven. I'll say it again: kingdom principles. Hallelujah. And inside of those principles, when we begin to exercise worship, it unlocks Heaven. I said it from the beginning. Hear me, that y'all didn't hear it probably, but I'm gonna say it again, that Kingdom worship is our human access. I'm sorry, it's our human authorization. There it is, to access the Kingdom of God. I'll say it again. Kingdom worship is our human authorization to access the Kingdom of God. And many of you have never truly accessed the heart of the King, heard his voice, spent time with him in his presence, and something real happened. You never had an encounter because you allowed religion to keep you handcuffed to religious way of doing things. But if you get out of the box and if you walk in the principle, you'll see something different. I'm gonna close with a scripture in Matthew 15, verse 6. Matter of fact, I'm gonna start reading at verse number 5. The Bible said, but ye say, whosoever shall say to his father and mother, it is a gift— glory to God— it is a gift, a doron in Greek. It is something deliberately given to prove a result old. Watch this, Duran. A gift— watch this, Duran— deals with a gift given with bad motive. I'm giving you this so I can get something in return. Come on, uh, not out of my heart because I just want to bless you and you to have it. He says, it is a gift by whosoever thou mightest be profited by me. And then you honor not his father and mother, he shall be free. Thus you have made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Wait a minute. So let me use this in the context of worship. Many a times, guys, we worship out of tradition. We worship again based on what our predecessors, our forefathers did and how they did it. And it doesn't culminate with breakthrough. It doesn't culminate with a real encounter because we do it out of tradition. And the Bible says the command, the principle to worship is now of none effect. The principle of God is of none effect because you're obeying tradition. Watch verse 7. You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, say, this people draw nigh to me with their mouth, jumping, shouting, dancing, speaking in tongues, spitting, blowing bubbles, rolling in the floor, and honor me with their lips worshiping and crying, singing all the songs in the Hosanna songbook, but their heart is far from me. God says it's not enough to go through the calisthenics, the motions, honoring with your lips and drawing nigh with your mouth, but your heart It's not plugged in. Bible says if you do this, in vain do you worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. You're doing it to please man. Hallelujah. I'm done. Listen, I'm— I gotta close. I'm turning my iPad off. God is looking for worshipers just right where you are for a few this moment, I want you to lift up your hands and say, Lord, I worship you. Say, Lord, I surrender my life to you. Say, Lord, I have the passport to access the Kingdom of God. Say, my worship authorizes me to enter in to your kingdom. Anytime I want, in Jesus' name. Hallelujah! Listen to me, guys. God wants all of you. And as you begin to walk out the principle of worship in your life, become an inferior to a superior, there's great reward. Listen, maybe you've been watching me today and you don't know know the King and the free pardon of your sin, meaning you're not born again, you're not saved, you're not a Christian, you're not a kingdom citizen. I want to pray for you. Maybe you got sin in your life because the Bible says sin separates us from God, and the only way to eliminate that is the cross, the blood of Jesus. The only way you can move into pure worship, your life must be exonerated of the sin, and it starts with repentance. The Bible declares in Acts Acts 2:38, repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and be filled with the Holy Ghost, and you shall be saved. Right here on this live today, I want to help you take the first step, which is repentance, and then I want to help you take the second step, which is baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. And then thirdly, I want to help you receive to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We're going to start with the first piece, repentance. The Bible simply says if you confess with your mouth repentance and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, you shall be saved. Can you say this with me? Say, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sin. Say, come into my heart. Live in me, in Jesus' name. Say, Lord, I declare that I believe that you died and rose again. Say, Lord, I give you full control over my life, in Jesus' name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Listen, if you said that prayer, my God, listen, today you, my friend, are saved. The next step is just to be baptized in his name and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. You need all three of these experiences as you begin your walk with God. Listen, of course I cannot baptize you through the camera, but if you want to be baptized is really simple. There's an email address on the screen. I want you to go to ratachurch.com/contact. I want you to send me an email and say, hey Apostle, I want to be baptized. Glory to God, I want to receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost. I pray with you today. And maybe you already saved and you haven't been baptized and you want to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, go to that same website and send me a message and say, hey, I want baptism I want to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit as well, and I will make sure it happens not many days from now. Listen, we have been teaching for a little over an hour, and listen, my time is gone. But listen, I want to challenge each one of you that are here with me now to sow seed into ministry. If you're connected to Rhoda Church, you know your responsibility is to tithe. Your tithe is a tenth of your income, your gross income. You have no excuse. You owe God a tenth of what you earn. Secondly, I want every person, whether you're connected to Rhoda Church, Rhoda Alliance, or not, no matter how you come by us, I want to challenge you today to plant a seed. God put into my spirit to challenge every person listening today to plant a seed of $51 into offering today. Listen, at the end of the day, God uses this principle of giving— principle— to exchange money between heaven and earth. He said, if you give, it shall be given to you good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall men give to your bosom. The scripture also says, whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap. So as you sow your $51 seed, those you connect connected to the Roddell Church, Roddell Lyons, up and above your tithe. And those you not even connected but you are here, God is challenging you now to get seed in the ground. And there are ways to give on the screen. I want you to follow them, either Cash App or on our website. We love you guys so dearly and we thank you for your support. Let's pray over your offering now. Father, in Jesus' name, I thank We thank you for every giver and every giver. Give it back to them good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall men give to their bosom. We thank you for Rhoda Church, everything you're doing in and around the church. Thank you, God, that as we're taking a hiatus from corporate worship, God, until you say go back into the sanctuary, we will obey. Glory to the name of God. Not what the world is saying, not what everybody else is doing. We will obey you. You, God. And so, God, we thank you. And God, I thank you for every resource you're giving us for our worship facility, every resource you're giving us to take care of those that need help. And I praise you for it now, in Jesus' name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Hallelujah. So thank you for your giving today. Hallelujah. You are so blessed because you are obedient. Remember This is a principle. Hallelujah. Well, yeah, well, y'all, my time is gone. I got to get out of here. Listen, remember, your life is built on principles. Operate in the principle of worship, and I promise you, your life will never be the same. I'm gone. Y'all share the word with a friend. And remember, the word Rada means dominion. Y'all be blessed.
