Life in the Overflow, Part 5: "Overwhelmed by Overflow" | Dr. Mike Woods, Sr. | (Radah Church)

In the fifth installment of the “Life in the Overflow” series, Dr. Mike Woods, Sr. (Radah Church) teaches that believers can move from under‑flow or no‑flow into a state of divine overflow—a saturated experience of God’s blessings. He reviews the five “enemies” that block overflow (sin, doubt, fear, slothfulness, selfishness) and introduces two essential “drivers” for overflow: a principle‑driven life rooted in Scripture (Hebrews 6, Psalm 16:11, John 10:10) and a presence‑driven life that cultivates intimacy with God’s pre‑sense intelligence. The sermon defines overflow as “saturation in the blessing of God,” equates joy to profit (Hebrew sheya), and explains that living in God’s presence reshapes a believer’s perception, speech, and actions. Practical exhortations include tithing first, generous giving, disciplined speech, and applying biblical principles rather than merely hearing them. Woods also expands the vision to the corporate church, urging believers to build a kingdom‑economy that ends poverty and brings heaven to earth. Throughout, he uses conversational, call‑and‑response delivery, vivid metaphors (car transmission, GPS, dove on the shoulder), and repeated imperatives to apply the teaching.

I want to welcome those that's watching us online right now. Glory to God. Please do me a favor, if you're watching this message online, share it. Glory to God. Again, the Bible says we're blessed to be a blessing, and if the word that you receive through this ministry blesses you, it's super important, glory to God, that you share it with somebody else.
Us.
Glory to God. So please be kind and share this word right now. I promise you, glory to the name of God, you'll be blessed for doing it. All right, we're continuing our series on Life in the Overflow. Say that with me. Say life. Come on, say it. Life in the Overflow.
I dare you say this.
Say it's God's will. Based on what you've learned, say, it's God's will according to his word for me to live in the overflow. Hallelujah! Glory to God! So we're in the fifth installment of this teaching. I don't know about you, but I've been really blessed by this word. Uh, the Lord spoke to me at the turn of the year and he said— well, really back in October last year, he said 2023 would be the year— two things— of manifested vision and overflow. And I just believe that God's gonna begin to cause the dreams in your life to come alive this year if you align with his word. And I believe he's going to put you in the place where you actually begin to live life in the overflow. I said this a few weeks ago. I have lived in the underflow, I've lived in the no flow, and I've lived in the overflow. That's where I live now. And I'm telling you right now, the overflow is better. And you can choose to live in the underflow or no flow. God won't love you no less. But the promise is overflow. Glory to God! The promise is more than enough. A lot of times we have bought into what the culture and society have told us, that we should just have just enough or not enough. But that's not who God is. The Bible calls him El Shaddai. He's the God of more than enough. Matter of fact, when you start saying El Shaddai, you're talking about the nourishing one. He's the one that provides everything we need. So it would only be right if he's our daddy for us to live in overflow, and that's what he wants. Glory to God. So I've been teaching you some practical principles, man, and if you apply this word, we've been kidding, I promise you, you'll start living in overflow. So last week, and I'm gonna review these real quick, I'm not gonna teach them again, please Go and watch the messages on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter. It's everywhere. But great word last week. We talked about enemies to overflow. I showed you 5 reasons why most believers— not just sinners, but believers— do not experience overflow. Again, grace will save you, grace will forgive you, but At the end of the day, there are principles we must align with to receive certain things from God. So we learned last week that the first enemy to overflow was sin. Again, I'm not going to teach it again, but we, we understand that sin separates us from God. The word sin is from a Greek word, harmisia, and it means to miss the mark. To come short, to not be totally aligned with God's plan. So we learned that sin is not just adultery, fornication, lying, cheating, but sin is actually operating outside of alignment with how God wants you to live. The old preacher would preach about sin, and all he could talk about was behavior.
But in the end of the day, it goes beyond behavior.
Behavior, part of it of it, but alignment is a bigger part of it. Because I believe if we align with God's plan and we really develop our relationship with God and get tight with God, that the behavior piece automatically straightens up because we've really tasted God. See, most people who continue in sin and always need forgiveness for the same thing, they really and truly have never tasted God. They've tasted religion, they've gone to church, they've been a part of religious culture. But when you really tasted the Father, there's no way you will want to just continue in sin deliberately, because you would want to live to please him. And so sin cuts us off from overflow. We learned that last week. Also, we learned that doubt is an enemy to overflow. There's no way you can receive overflow if you doubt God and you don't move in faith. The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. I could teach about overflow till I'm blue in the face, and you can hear it, but if you don't believe it and apply it, you'll never receive it.
So I mean, you can hear it and you can say to yourself, I know that's right, But real faith has action, because faith without works is dead.
So we talked about doubt, we talked about fear. Fear is doubt's cousin. So at the end of the day, you can't move in fear and expect overflow. I really believe some people are afraid of having enough and even more than enough.
Some people don't even know how to be happy.
They, they, they, they can be in the right place doing the right thing and don't even know how to experience happiness and enjoy it. Because some people ain't happy until they unhappy. They waiting for something to happen. They waiting for somebody to hurt. They expected their heart to get broke because it's been broke all these years.
But the reality is you don't live in fear when you move in overflow.
You wake up in the morning expecting abundance, expecting peace, expecting God to protect you and take care of you.
I don't know about you, but I do. I wake up looking for God to bless my socks off. I want him to bless my socks off every single day because that's what he promised me. So I don't live in fear. I don't fear getting foreclosed on. I don't fear losing cars. I don't fear getting put out. I don't fear not being able to pay my bills. Because I serve a God that promised to take care of me.
But fear will be a great enemy to overflow in your life. We— I'm not teaching it again.
We learned last week also that slothfulness— oh boy—
is an enemy to overflow. Slothfulness is laziness, unwilling to exert yourself, unwilling to work. And we talked about last week that the only place overflow—
oh my God—
comes before work is in the dictionary. Reality. Yeah, okay. So overflow starts with O, work starts with W.
So O comes before W.
The only place overflow comes before work is in dictionary. Any other time you're gonna get overflow, you gotta do some work. And you gotta work the thing that God sent you in this planning to work. And overflow is often connected to you working out your purpose. And then finally, we said that selfishness was an enemy to overflow. You cannot live in a state of ingratitude where you never give of yourself. You're not willing to share who God made you to be with others. You don't understand that the reason you're blessed is to be a blessing. And when you're selfish— selfishness, watch this— selfishness is the source of all sin. Any sin is born out of selfishness because sin is self-aggrandizing, which means it brings you pleasure. That's why people sin. They— I said it last week, there is no miserable sins. People who commit sin enjoy it. When I was in sin, I enjoyed it, but it was born out of the selfishness to please myself. But if we want overflow, we have to be liberal. We have to open ourselves up to say, I'm gonna give more, I'm gonna trust more, and I'm gonna make sure that as God blesses me, I bless others.
We got—
it's selfish. Just mean I'm transparent. What I know, you know.
I'm, I'm here. You got so many people who are blessed who won't share what they know.
You have people who have arrived at certain places in life and won't talk to you about how they got there because they're afraid you might get there too.
But honestly, when you get a mindset that as I evolve, I'm going to make sure others around me evolve as well, God says, okay, I can trust you with overflow. I can trust you with more because I know You're not going to keep this to yourself. I was just praying when I was praying earlier that God has blessed us to be a blessing and that he wants to give us plenty to give away. So he wants to bless us so we can give away to others and empower others in the situations they're in, because people need what we got. Amen. So I want to talk today—
this is part 5 And I want to talk about how to be overwhelmed by overflow. Say that with me. Say overwhelmed by overflow. See, a lot of times we get overwhelmed by other things in life, but God wants us to be overwhelmed by overflow, by his provision, his way of doing things. Let me just get a working definition again of overflow. Overflow is to be saturated in the blessing of God.
Overflow—
here, this is being overwhelmed, watch this, by the goodness of God, which means everywhere you look, you see nothing but the goodness of God. I mean, and really, and we, we've established this in scripture so many times already that God wants us every time, at every turn, to see goodness. I even have been bold enough to make the statement that you can live a life without bad days because we have been programmed to believe that you're gonna have some good days and you have some bad days. But when I'm walking with God, I'm determined because if I'm overwhelmed with his goodness and I'm living the abundant life he promised me in John 10:10, I can live every day without a bad day. I can have a good day every day. Yeah, I call people sometimes. I could put— talk to them the day before yesterday and then call them on that, that particular day and say, how you doing? I said, well, I'm having a bad day today. But 2 days ago, they were having a super day. And I'm like, what happened between these 2 days that caused you to be so down now? You were so up 2 days ago. It's because they forgot to acknowledge how good God is. And because of that, in order to be overwhelmed by overflow and experience goodness every day The first thing that has to happen there, we got to acknowledge two drivers. Somebody say drivers. Say that with me, say drivers.
Say it again, say drivers.
Not, not an Uber driver, but drivers, right? Okay, two drivers that we must live through.
I call these life drivers.
That's how the Holy Ghost gave it to me, life drivers.
And as he was giving it to me, I thought about a car.
A car has a transmission, except you got a Tesla or something. But a car, a gasoline motorized vehicle, has a transmission. The transmission is the power. People think it's the engine, but honestly, what makes the car move is the transmission.
You can have— I mean, you got to have an engine, but the transmission—
the engine can be on, but the transmission goes out. Car ain't going nowhere because you, you can have the ability to create direction—
forward, backward, stop, neutral— with the transmission.
You can't do that with the engine.
So at the end of the day, you need all of these pieces to— even the transmission— to make it go forward in your life. Watch this.
These two drivers is like the transmission.
If these two things are out of whack Your life is stuck. And so you have to look at these things closely and make the adjustment. The first driver— these, these are non-negotiable because when you dismiss these, you start to experience the effects of not having these things in your life.
The first one is you must live— hear this— a principle-driven life.
So your life has to be driven by principles.
Somebody say principles.
Come on, say it again.
Say principles.
If you're going to experience the overflow, you gotta have some principles.
Somebody may say, well, Michael Woods, what in the world are principles? I'm glad you asked.
A principle is a rule, a belief, a way of living, a way of doing things— watch this— that ultimately guides everything you do. I'll say that again.
It's a rule, an idea, a belief that guides you in everything you do.
Now, so if I'm— as a believer, as a believer, if I am principle-driven, what rule, what belief, what idea is going to drive my life?
It has to be the word of God.
I have to allow God's word to become the driver that drives everything I do.
I can't take a break from the word when I feel like being down or being depressed or being, or being hard on myself.
I gotta trust every single thing the word tells me to do, and I gotta shape my life around those principles. Watch this. If you're living according to the principles the word.
Oh Lord, I love you. Then God is obligated, because he cannot lie, to perform his word on your behalf.
So we allow principles in the word to drive us, and those principles should be forever matriculating.
Watch this. So good principles are like compasses. That give you direction. They cause movement.
We got the right principles, they will guide you to what the goal is. So there are principles that the scripture give us for healing. There are principles that the scriptures give us by having a great marriage. There are principles that the word gives us— glory to God— by having a good life or believing in the overflow. We have to find those principles and live by them and, and allow them to be the compass on how we react things. See, we gotta learn— watch this— to not react to stuff. Oh my God, out of our flesh. So many times—
hear this— we react to things in our flesh. Touch yourself and say, God, come on, say it again. Say, God doesn't want me to react out of my flesh.
I need you to hear that. God doesn't want you reacting out of your flesh. So a lot of times when things shows up, our first reaction is to retaliate or respond because something came at us.
I always say, and I've been saying this for years, that there's a space between stimulus and response.
So you get stimulated with something, instead of reacting immediately, go to that space, talk to God. Watch this, find the principle that connects to the reaction you need to make to that situation, and then you respond.
A lot of times we respond to things way too quickly.
And you know what I learned doing it is that nothing is ever as big as it first appears.
I'll say it again: nothing is ever big as it first appears.
Sometimes something looks huge and we just react, be pulling our hair out, screaming, about to lose it. But nothing is, is really ever as big as it first looks.
Think about the big stuff that happened in your life. When you look back over it, once you got past the initial shock, it wasn't as big as you thought it was. Hallelujah.
All right, so, so correct principles are like compasses.
They always point the way.
Watch this.
And if you know how to read a compass, you'll never get lost. Principles are like a GPS. You put the address in the GPS, that you're never lost if you got a GPS.
I promise you, it may take you the wrong way, a long way every now and then, but I promise you, if you put the coordinates in the GPS correctly, you're never lost.
That's how principles are. You're never lost. You never can miss overflow if you start driving your life by the principles of the word that connect to overflow. Good God. So we follow these principles, you won't get lost, you won't be confused. You'll never follow something— watch this— that you ain't supposed to be following. You know, people run after different things because that's what they've been taught to do. They've been taught to find what makes them comfortable. But a lot of times our greatest blessing is found in places that make us uncomfortable, that go against the grain of what we think we know. God wants to give us more, but you'll never get more if you keep doing the same thing. To get what you never had, you got to do what you never did. And so you have to drive some principles that's going to get you where you need to be. Watch this, you have to get all of the conflicting voices out of your head.
Oh, you got to manage the snake eggs in your head.
I'll say it again, you have to manage the snake eggs in your head because a lot of times when we got conflicting voices that conflict against what God's word says It plants a snake egg that gives birth to deception that consistently wars against God's word for your life and his principles.
Who are you trying to go and what you need to do? So you have to, you have to really decide, I'm gonna live a principle. Somebody say principle-driven.
Principle-driven.
You gotta have some principles. You can't just wake up and live. You gotta have something that drives you every day, something that guides your way. And it's not up to God to shove that down your throat, you have— because he's not going to violate your will. So you got to get up and study the principles, study the principles, find out what God is saying for your situation, for your circumstance, for your purpose.
And start driving your life according to principles. Somebody say principles. Let me give you some scripture on that.
Go to Hebrews 6.
Hallelujah. Remember I said principles are always matriculating, they're always growing, they should always increase in value in your life. Let's go to Hebrews 6:1.
The Bible says this, it says, therefore, watch this, Let us move beyond elementary teachings.
Oh boy. So Paul is saying— the apostle is saying to the Hebrews, he said, we have to keep growing. There's got to be a point that in our life where we stop living according to elementary things. I mean, we all went to school. Right? We started in what, elementary or pre-K or whatever. I don't even think they had pre-K when I was coming. It was elementary, started K through 7. Then I went to— and then I went to high school in 8th grade. So you went to elementary, high school, college, graduate school. You just kept matriculating. That's how principals are, they matriculate.
So the more you want out of your life, the more overflow you desire, you got to tap into some greater principles. If you keep doing the same thing and following the same elementary principles, you will get pediatric elementary results.
Oh boy.
But say this to me, say there's more. I'm gonna say it again, say there is more. I mean, some people have been in the church 25, 35, 45 years caught up in religion, and what religion has done has only taught them elementary school principles. So they go to church, they go back home, still ain't blessed. Go to church, go back home, still sick. Go to church, go back home, marriage still bad. Go to church, go back home, still can't find a good job. Nothing ever changes because the principles that they live by didn't change. Is God word wrong? No. Does God want to bless them? Yes.
But God is no respecter of person. So what he did was he says, I'm gonna put these principles in place.
I'm not gonna show favoritism, but the one that operates in this principle is the one I'm gonna bless, and it's the ones that are gonna receive overflow.
So you gotta make a choice that you want more.
You got to make a choice.
Glory to God that there is more than where you are. Say it again. Say, there's more. He said, so let's move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity. Say maturity. That just simply means we need to get grown in God, in his principles, and stay grown.
Once you mature, you have to make up in your mind, I'm not going back to being immature anymore. Now I'm good.
I'm glad I'm married to my wife. She's a mature woman. She's older than me. She's mature.
I could— I don't know how.
I'm 53 years old. I got some friends, 50, 52, that date 27, 26. I don't know how you do it.
I don't know how. I'm serious. Those watching, I'm sorry, I don't know how y'all do it. I, I need somebody mature. I at least better have a conversation. I can't talk to—
what I'm gonna talk to 27-year-old about?
And then on top of that, I'm, I'm getting old.
I need somebody to be able to look at me and know if something wrong with me, I'm getting sick, or I'm— somebody have—
I need somebody to know, to tell me, man, you need to go to the hospital or something. Because at the end of the day, that's maturity.
Somebody that doesn't live life, somebody that know how to cook something other than a hot dog. Oh, you hear me?
I need more than a, a wiener. Glory to God. I need some food. Immature people don't understand the importance of that.
An immature person will feed you a hot dog every day and let your blood pressure go up because they don't understand you need to stay alive, and they don't understand that kind of eating is not good for you.
So he says, let us take on maturity. Let's get some principles. Let's take off principles of mature people. Mature people pay their bills.
Watch this.
Mature people build their credit because they pay their bills.
They understand the discipline in paying their bills.
It's not that God loves one person more than the other, and, and one person can have this and another have that. No, that one person got it, went by the principle.
They paid their bill. They took care of their responsibility. Say principles. And this is tough.
He said, but we got to take forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God.
So our faith should not even be an issue. We should believe God. He said you should not repent for not trusting God. And then you should not have to repent for doing stuff that's going to lead you to death. Do you realize that some people are not walking in overflow and experiencing the blessing of God because their habits, the way they live every day, is leading them to death? And it's so many people think it's right. Proverbs said there's a way that seems right, but the end of that way is destruction. Oh boy, a lot of people think I'm okay, I'm good, and don't know that the end of that road is death.
I mean, I go back to food.
I mean, there's some people that will go to McDonald's every day and eat, and for the temporary satisfaction, they feel I'm okay. Keep doing that long enough The end of that road is some clogged arteries and death.
That's what that leads to.
Okay, all right. So he says, I need you to have a principle— say principle-driven life. So if you want overflow, you want to be overwhelmed by overflow, you got to live by the principles of the word. Number 2, and I'm moving and I'm gonna get where I need to be, you got to live a presence driven life. Say presence-driven. The Bible says in Psalm 16:11, you can go there, it says, thou will show me the path of life, for in your presence, glory to God, is fullness of joy, and at thy right hand Oh boy, our pleasures forevermore. Let me just back up and break that down. He says, first of all, this is the psalmist praying.
He said, you're gonna show me the path of life. In other words, the word show there is yada in Hebrew.
It means that you're going to allow me to be intimate with or to perceive things the way you perceive them.
The psalmist is saying, you're gonna let me see my life, God, the way you see it. Do you—
you probably wouldn't believe this, but it's the truth. Probably about 25% of our society have never seen themselves I'm sorry, only about 25% of our society have seen themselves the way God sees them.
The other 75% have never had that perception because most people define themselves by what other people say.
They are living definition of what their mama said they are, or what their daddy said they are, or some child growing up said they were.
They're living their definition of the culture they grew up in, and they never really got a look at what their life looks like in God. He says, you're going to show me, Yahweh, let me get your eyes on this thing. Touch yourself and say, I want to see myself. Come on, say it. Come on, say it. Say, I want to see myself the way God sees me. Come on, say it again.
I want to see myself the way God sees me.
So many times we, again, we define ourselves by the clarity of others. Tell them now what they say I am. Say, I am what God says I am. Come on, say it. I am what God says I am. Said, I can do what God says I can do. Say, I can have what God says I can have. See, if you don't believe that, all you're going to ever have is what you're able to get on how you define yourself in self-revelation. But God says we gotta—
we need to see the path of life.
And can I, can I introduce you to something really quick? Everybody in this room, everybody watching this live has a specific and particular path of life, a very unique path that God has designed for our life.
The word path in Hebrew is orach, and it's where we get words like architect or architecture.
It means design, it means plans. So David is saying here, you're going to show me the plans for my life. Now the interesting thing about this, David writes this psalm in a cave.
He's in a cave called Adullam, and he's running for his life from Saul. And he doesn't know whether he's going to live or die because Saul has got a hit out on this dude and has made up his mind he gonna kill him, period.
David says, okay God, I need you to show me where I'm going, because if you show me where I'm going and what you're going to do in my life, what this is going to do is eliminate fear. Ah, what it's going to do is anoint me. Hallelujah!
Glory to God!
My doubt in you. Show me the path. Show me the design. You and I have a specific design.
We got—
that's already finished. When an architect designed this building, the plans were built before the actual building.
The plans had to be taken to the city. The city stamped the plans approved.
Now once those plans were approved by the city, the building is deemed finished. You can't make any alterations to those plans. Once the construction people come out and start building, you have to build according to what's on the plan.
Oh boy, say that with me. Say, I gotta build according to plan.
This is a present-driven life. I want to get into God's presence to see the plan. When you see the plan, you find yourself doing the things that are in the plan. Because if you're building a house or building this building, when you're building a house, you can't just say, oh, I think I want to put a pool in the back and it ain't in the plan.
You can't do that. You just can't. I mean, I, I know you say it's my property, I'm paying the money. No, you got to go back to the architect. It's got to be added into the plan. It's got to be approved by the city before you can add that pool. You can't just add stuff into your life because it's your life and expect God to bless you in overflow because he already has a design. He already has a path. A lot of people miss overflow because they're not on the right path. They're going down the wrong path. He said, you'll show me the path of life. Watch this. In your presence— say presence-driven. In your— so most people, when they— people think, oh my God, the glory came down in the church, we felt goosebumps, we were shaking, we were in the floor. That's a type of presence, but this is not what the presence of the Lord really is.
Watch this.
The presence of the Lord is defined in the word presence— pre-sense. It's what God— it's God's intelligence about you and I before we ever got here. It's his sensibility, his intelligentsia about us before we ever came to this planet. Jeremiah 1:5 says, before I formed you in the belly, I had intelligence about you. I knew you.
There's some intelligence God had about our life before we even got here.
And God says, it's in your intelligence where I find fullness of joy. Wait a minute, there's overflow. It's not fullness. Fullness is enough, but joy is overflow.
Watch this.
Joy is sheya in Hebrew. Which means profit. Not a prophet like a prophet that prophesies, but profit, P-R-O-F-I-T, like a business. You ask a businessman to define profit, he's going to tell you what's left over after the expenses have been paid and covered. That's overflow, that's profit.
And God says, what's going to happen when I get in your intelligence So when I spend enough time inside of the mind of God and his intelligence about my life, not only will he fill my life up with the things he wants me to have, but he'll give me a profit where I have something to wave in the devil face, look at you, and tell him, hey, you thought you had me, but I'm still here. And, and you know, I've learned to just tell the devil, you should have killed me when you had the chance. When the enemy decides he want to creep up and mess with me again, I said, hey man, it's too late. I got a revelation of who I am. I'm operating in overflow. I'm operating in fullness of joy. You might want to try that with somebody else.
Oh boy. He says, in your presence, in your intelligence, there's fullness. So we've been trying to get fullness by getting in the presence and feeling deep, squinting our eyes, passing out on the floor. But really being in his presence is gonna invoke a new level of intelligence, a heavenly intelligence that comes from God and makes you think about your life the way he thinks about it. I gotta move. I'm almost done because I won't bore y'all, but this is soulful. This is life. I'm not gonna scream, I'm not gonna tune up. I want you to get this. I mean, I want you to get it, because otherwise you'll keep living either in underflow, no flow, underflow, no flow, or some flow. And you don't want that. You want to be in overflow. And the way you get an overflow, you gotta tap into his mind. He says, in your presence fullness of joy, and at your right hand are pleasures. That's more overflow forevermore. Pleasure is two words. Ure is a French word that means to extract, and please, which is an Anglo-Saxon word. So pleasure means to extract or pull forth that which pleases. So not only will God pull out of you what pleases you, but he'll pull out of you what pleases him. And you'll get to tangibly handle it and experience it. Oh, did I— I told you, you could live a day full of goodness every day if you're operating in this place under the right hand of God. That's the key. God's right hand symbolizes his hand of authority. I have learned, as long as I stay under his right hand and move in obedience and do what he says, I— there's certain things I can't afford not to do.
I can't afford not to tithe, and I cannot afford not to live in sin deliberately. Oh God.
And people might say, well, I don't tithe because I can't afford it. No, you can't afford not to tithe. And part of the reason a lot of people go through struggle, because they say, okay, I'm gonna take care of my mortgage, take care of my car, take care of my insurance, I'm gonna give a little bit to God. But really, you should have said, I'm gonna give God his first, and then I'm gonna take care of all that.
And then you make room to watch God work in your life.
But the moment you decide, I'm gonna reorder this, and don't give God what belongs to him first, you take yourself out of the equation of overflow because you give what you got left to God. And God said, okay, you give me what you got left, I'm gonna give you what I got left.
That's that. You don't want that, you want overflow.
Okay, all right. He says, at your right hand, I got to be on the authority. So I can't afford not to tithe, I can't afford not to be a giver, I can't afford to live in sin. I can't because I'm not under the right hand of God. Going back to last week, I can't afford to doubt.
I can't afford to live in fear.
I can't afford to be selfish because I gotta stay aligned. I can't afford to be slothful and lazy because I gotta stay aligned with God's right hand so I can get pleasures, so he can extract out of my life good things that pleases me and pleases him. So when others look at your life they see the pleasure of God on you, not the frustration of the world. Now, you know, I never seen so many mean-mugging, sourpuss attitude, lemon-sucking church folk.
It's ridiculous. If you say you're a smile sometime, you'll not be a sourpuss all the time. So you ought to have some joy on your face.
I'm like, you talk to people, how you doing? Yes, I'm saved. I'm, I'm God's man.
Okay, well, smile. If you— what you mad about? I'm happy I'm saved.
I don't want to say you saved from what, because you can't be saved from much.
Because if you that mad, you, you can't know the same God I know. Because at the end of the day, he brings joy and he brings pleasure. Watch this, forever. That means once you get it, he doesn't repossess it. He doesn't take it back. Anything God gives you is permanent. If God— if God gave you a husband and you ended up divorced, God didn't give it to you because he don't take back stuff.
Oh, he'll take back what he give you. If it came from God, it's permanent.
Are y'all here?
Okay, I know y'all say, oh no, I'm gonna take control over this right here, that ain't permanent. I'm— no, but if God brings the gift, it's permanent. Says permanent.
And so, so I gotta stay aligned with the right hand of God.
Say that with me.
So I gotta stay aligned with the right hand of God. Come on, say that with me. With his principles, with his presence, with his intelligence.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So every present-filled moment you have that's full of God's intelligence, that's full of God's culture, it's a terror to Satan. I'm telling you, if you live in the presence, the devil will leave you alone.
People, I believe this, this is just my opinion.
I've cast out a lot of devils in my life, and I'm sure I ain't through. I'm gonna cast out some more. But at the end of the day, I think people have too big of a devil.
I think the church has made the devil too huge, even to the point that we made him bigger than God. But if you live in the presence, you don't have time to exalt the powers of darkness. Matter of fact, that which is dark can't communicate with that which is light.
Glory to God.
Say, I'm presence-driven.
What?
Because you gotta, you gotta think about what drives you. What drives you? What drives you?
Your own mind?
Your flesh? What people think?
The opinions of others?
What makes you click? What makes you do what you do? Is it the presence of God? Is it the principles of God, the word of God?
Listen, let me be very honest with you. I used to be a guy— and I'm almost done, I trust— I used to be a guy that I wanted everybody to be pleased with me, and I just really worked hard wanting people to be really happy with me. It made me feel better if I thought they felt good about me. That's the wrong attitude to have. I'm so glad I grew out of that, because at the end of the day, people change like the water. And if you're living to please people, I got news for you: you're never gonna please them. You can't please everybody.
So the practice of being driven by the presence is a practice of living for the audience of one. Touch yourself.
Say, I'm living for the audience of one. They'll celebrate you now and tear you down 30 minutes later. I love speaking tongues. I believe it's essential to the believer, but the evidence of the Holy Ghost is not tongues. The evidence of the Holy Ghost is evidenced by actually being full of the Spirit. 'Cause you can speak in tongues and not really operate in the fullness of the Spirit. But at the end of the day, that's not the thing that totally identifies that I am full of the Spirit. 'Cause you got some tongue-talking devils talking plenty of tongues. And this don't excuse you for not talking in tongues. Let me just say, let me bring a balance there, 'cause you need to speak in tongues. 'Cause Jude 22 said, some of y'all don't have no faith 'cause you don't never speak in tongues. Because the Bible says building up your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Jude 20. So if you don't pray in the Holy Ghost, you're not building—
that's why you're a doubter.
So don't take that and run with it because, oh yeah, there's some tongue-tongue devil there. There's some doubting folk that don't talk in tongues too. So you got to balance it. So y'all speak in tongues, but you don't think that that's where it stops, because it doesn't. Because at the end of the day, you got to be full of the Spirit in every aspect— in his intelligence, in his fruit, his love, his joy, his peace, his goodness, his temperance, his faith. All those things are signs of being full of the Holy Ghost.
His gifts.
So a presence-driven life actually starts— watch this, I'm almost done— with what I say out of my mouth concerning my life. It starts with your tongue. The Bible said death and life is in the power of your tongue. You can't live in overflow if all you do is speak negative all the time. If all that ever comes out of your mouth is a negative story That's all you got to say when the word of God gave you something else to say.
Listen, the Bible says speak those things that are not as though they were. You shape the world you live in with your words, and a lot of people are in the condition they're in is because of how they talk. But you got to start talking different. I'm almost done, I promise you, because when you start saying what the Father says Oh, what it does, first of all, it releases the creative nature of God in your life because God's a creator. So when you start saying what he says about you and what his word promised you, the creatorial power of the Father starts working in your life. But if all you ever got to say is something negative—
and try it when you are tempted to say negative Say what the Father says, because I promise you, he ain't in agreement with your negative statements about your life, about your bitterness, about your unforgiveness, about your own personal issues. He's not in agreement with that crap.
You got to find a whole nother language system. Oh, how you—
I told you there's a space between stimulus and response. I know you're tempted to say the negative.
But go to the space, find you some scriptures, and say what God is saying about you. Instead of, instead of doubting yourself and down in the situation and down in others, find what the word says and say that about you.
Because you release his creative nature, you release his presence and his influence into your situation, because now you're saying what he's saying. Because guess what? His word changes not. That's scripture. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. That's not just a good cliché, that's the truth. So if God the same yesterday, today, and forever, if I start saying what he said yesterday, today, or what he said for tomorrow, it's gonna bring his influence into my situation right now. I'm telling you, try it this week. Then when you get tempted to say something negative, when you get tempted to think something negative, dig in that word and say what God says. I'm almost done. Glory to God. So say this with me. Say, God— I'm moving— wants me to speak what he's saying. Say, when I do, it releases his creative nature and his presence to influence my situation. I want y'all to try that this week, man. See, this being presence-driven— I'll move to my next point. I'm— matter of fact, I'm closing. Being presence-driven is about— here it is— it's about hosting the intelligence of God in our life. You ever been a host? Had somebody over your house, had dinner, whatever, a host? Well, you gotta think that you're hosting God's presence every day. And I always look at it like this— if the— think of it like this: in the Bible, the symbolism for the Holy Spirit a lot is a dove. So think about this. Think every day if you were living with a dove on your shoulder. Every day you should live like there's a dove on your shoulder. Now what's going to happen? You got a dove on your shoulder, you got to be very careful, very mindful that that dove is there. One wrong move, what's going to happen? It's going to fly away.
So what you want to make sure that the dove stays with you.
So you want to stay aligned under his right hand so he doesn't move. See, the measure to which we get a revelation that we need him often is aligned with the measure that we are aware of him. So many times, I'm telling you, even believers, we go through the motions but we're not really aware that God is really with us. We can surround ourselves with all of the Christian stuff— all you listen to is gospel music, all you watch on TV is gospel shows— and still not really be aware that God himself is with you. But it's measured by the extent that you realize you really need him to live.
And I know somebody said, well, Apostle, that's a given. I can't live without God.
Everybody say that, but everybody live without him. Oh, I can't make it without the Lord, but you steady living without him.
You ain't praying, you ain't worship, you ain't studying no scripture, you ain't confess nothing he's saying. Oh, you living without him. And things are hard because the way of the transgressor is hard. It's hard because you're not under the right hand. But God says, I want to overwhelm you with my goodness. I want to bring you into a land that overflows.
I want to give you more than you ever had.
I want to get you to a point where money is not an issue. As a matter of fact, when you walk in overflow concerning money, you live on the other side of money. You live in a mindset that you have everything you need all the time.
You don't go to the store and with a budget in your head when you got overflow in your life.
You get the things you need and you bless the people you need and you take care of the things you need to take care of because it's always there.
You don't worry when you walk in overflow. God says, I want to get you to a place where you're overwhelmed by my goodness.
Which means it's when something is overwhelming. Yeah, when we get overwhelmed with stuff, we go, oh my God, I can't take it no more.
God wants you to get to a place where you say, you know what, I surrender, Lord. Just, I love this overflow, just keep giving it to me.
You, this is a good overwhelming.
That's how I want to overwhelm you with my goodness.
Deuteronomy 28:8.
I'm just going to read these.
This is the promise. Watch this. The Lord shall command— say command. The blessing upon thee in thy storehouses. The storehouse is equivalent to the bank. So the Lord said, when you get an overflow and you're overwhelmed, he's constantly commanding the blessing in your bank account.
Oh boy.
He says, and in all— oh my God— that you put your hands on to do. So God said, not only am I going to bless your bank account, but everything you set your hands to do, God says, I'm gonna command the blessing on it. Oh boy, wouldn't that be amazing that as we move in alignment with God, whatever we set our hands to prospers? Whether we put our hands on— oh my God, it emerges in profitability because we stayed in line with God. He says, I'm gonna— that's a—
that word command is powerful.
He said, I'm gonna, I'm gonna constantly be ringing out law in your favor so you can move in blessing and overflow.
It's a good thing to have God constantly speaking to your bank account. Oh well, I'm telling you, I done lived on both sides. I'm gonna live where he wasn't saying nothing to my bank account, and I don't live where he was saying everything to it. I want him to keep talking to it because life is easier when he commanding the blessing. It's easy to do ministry, it's easy to do business, it's easy to help others, it's easy to do the things that bring me joy. Glory to God, because God wants you to enjoy life. He said, I'm gonna command the blessing on your storehouse and in all you put your hands to.
Watch this, and he shall bless you in the land which the Lord God gives you. Which means God said, I'm gonna give you some land, I'm gonna give you some real estate. And in the land, the land, the place you live, the place you dwell the place you do business. God said, I'm gonna bless you there. Touch yourself and say, Lord, come on, say, Lord, command the blessing on my bank account, in my house, and in everything I touch, in Jesus' name.
Hallelujah.
Deuteronomy 6:3. I'm just reading these.
Glory to God.
He says, hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it.
Now I told y'all, you can't just be a hero of the word, you got to be a doer of the word.
Faith without works is dead.
I've been saying this for years, I've been saying it throughout this series, I'm gonna say it again now because it bears repeating.
Information, revelation without application is constipation. So you can hear this information You can get this spiritual intelligence, but if you don't do it, if you don't apply it, it's like being constipated, stuck, it's straining. Everything is hard because you won't apply what you know.
All I want y'all to do is apply.
All y'all watching, all I want you to do is apply this. It's not just good teaching or good preaching. You got to apply this so your life is different. From.
Say apply it. Say apply it.
He said, watch, he said observe to do it. Hear and then observe. Find ways to put it in action. That these messages I've been teaching, you ought to be every week trying to figure out a way to put the word in action.
He said find a way to do it that it may be well with thee. Oh, I told you, you have a day every day that's filled with goodness. But you got to observe to do the principle. You got to observe to allow your life to be driven by his presence. Some people are not well because they're living life through their own thoughts, their own process, not through the mind of God. Oh boy, but watch this. He said, be well with thee, and conjunction, that you may increase mightily. That's overflow.
As the Lord God has promised you in the land that flows with milk and honey. Can I tell you something?
God promised you overflow.
He promised you to increase mightily.
You know what increase mightily means? That means that if God has to go to war for you in order for you to increase, he'll move his hand and move obstacles and move people and put stuff together and hook things up that need to be hooked up so you can move in overflow.
But he can't do that when you're out of line.
Huh.
Deuteronomy 6, verses 10 and 11.
I'm just reading these. I can break them all down, but I'm just reading them because I want you to get the promises.
Watch this. And it shall be— somebody says, shall be. Come on, you didn't say it. It shall be. Listen, when the Lord God shall have brought thee into the land which he swear unto thy fathers—
listen—
to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and good— listen to this, wait a minute. He said, Lord said it shall be when the Lord brought you into the land, when he brought you into the promise of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, which we got that same promise through Jesus. He said when you come into that, he said, I'm gonna give you great and goodly cities. He didn't just say I'm gonna give you a house, a car. He's gonna give you whole cities.
Okay, okay.
He said, which thou buildest not. This is the work of the wicked being laid up for the just. God said, I'm gonna cause those— I'm gonna cause those who are wicked to build it up for you. And then because of the anointing and the blessing of overflow that's on your life, I'm gonna cause those to transfer it into you.
He said, you ain't even got to build it.
I'm gonna make them give it to you.
That's overflow.
Oh my God. He said, and houses full of all good things. I told you, you could have good every day, full of good things every day. Something that when we say good things every day, he said, which thou fillest not and wells digged which you did not.
Oh my God.
He said, I'm gonna put stuff in your house that you didn't buy. And I'm gonna dig wells for you that you didn't have to dig yourself. In other words, God said, I'm gonna be a source and a resource for you if you align yourself with me and do things my way.
Man, that's good stuff. He said, I'm gonna give you vineyards and olive trees.
He, he's working on us. He said, look, in other words, there are no limits to what I can do for you and overflow if you are aligned. Vineyards means perpetual harvest. Watch this, a wine vineyard is going to produce the grapes that give wine every season like clockwork, as long as the vineyard is taken, as long as the work is done in the vineyard.
God says, I'm gonna give you perpetual wealth, I'm gonna give you longevity and legacy. Glory to God. Olive trees that you didn't plant. When thou shalt have eaten and be full. In other words, you— every time you eat, you're gonna eat and be full. You don't overflow every time you sit at the table. There won't be a hungry day in your life. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Deuteronomy 8:17. I got to go. He said, when the Lord your God bring you into a good land A land of brooks and waters, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills.
A land of wheat and barley and vines and fig trees and pomegranates.
A land of olive oil and honey. A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarcity. I told you, oh my God, see, you'll have more than enough food. There won't be no food shortages.
Thou shalt not lack anything.
I said that earlier, that lack is not a part of the life of the believer. We should be living in overflow. He said right here, lack should not be in your life. A land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills may dig brass, has eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the Lord, for the good land which he hath given to you. Leviticus 25:18-22. I'm just reading these. My statues. There's the action again. And keep my rules, principles, and perform them, and then you'll dwell in the land securely, which means you'll never be able to be removed from this place. Again, again, I said it earlier, you won't be repossessed, you won't be kicked out. God says, I'm gonna secure you because you're doing what I say. He said, the land will yield its fruit and will eat your fill and dwell in it securely. And if you say, we will eat in the 7th year, if we may not sow or gather in our crop, I will command my blessing on you in the 6th year so that it will— oh my God— produce a sufficient crop, sufficient for 3 years. When you sow in the 8th year, you'll be eating some old crop. You will eat— oh— until the the 9th year. In other words, I'm gonna give you overflow upon overflow. Every time you turn around, he said, there'll be overflow. I just need you to do my statutes. I need you to be obedient. I need you to keep my rules. I need you to live under my intelligence. Yeah, I mean, presence and principle is all in this text. He said, I will send you in its season, and the ground will yield its crops, and the trees of the field their fruit. Your threshing will continue until grape harvest, and the grape harvest will continue into planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land. You will still be eating last year's harvest— hear me— when you have to move it out and make room for the new. Listen, I'm done, y'all. Can I tell y'all something? The church needs a real clarity of who she really is so that we can really live in overflow for real. Most of the time, a lack of understanding, man, has got us to a place where we struggle unnecessarily as a— personally, as corporately, as a body. People struggle unnecessarily. But when the church really discovers who she is, and watch this, no longer wants to be rescued. See, The church living with his bags packed with this escapism mentality, looking out the window waiting for Jesus to crack the sky and get rescued out of earth and go to heaven. Our job is not to go to heaven. It's God's job to get us to heaven. Our job is to bring heaven to earth. On earth as it is in heaven. To bring heaven to earth so that people can experience heaven through us while we're here living in the overflow. We gotta, we gotta dismiss that need. I want to be rescued. No, we should be rescuing others. I believe with all of— when we look at the world's resources and we talk about we serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, we should be creating a trillion-dollar-plus economy in the church where we have enough economics in the kingdom, to end homelessness in every city, to build schools, to build banking systems. But our mindset is, I'm gonna come over here and build a kingdom to myself, and not we build something together for the King. See, the reality is everybody wants to be rescued. Everybody wants God to bless them in their corner. And the reality is That never was God's design. It was his design for us to bring heaven to earth and impact the world collectively and corporately as a body. We're the body of Christ, not just in here but all over the world.
