My Times Are in His Hands! A | Dr. Mike Woods, Sr.

Dr. Mike Woods Sr. teaches that believers must trust God's timing rather than their own control, grounding the message in Psalm 31 and Galatians 5. He distinguishes between due time, God's strategic schedule, and appointed time, pre-arranged divine points. Woods connects trusting God's timing to financial freedom and warns against pride and premature action.

Well, grace and peace everyone, be multiplied to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is Mike Woods and welcome to our Thursday night Kingdom Bible study. Listen, I'm super excited every week when I get an opportunity to teach the word and share with you. Would you do me a favor right here, please, guys? If you're joining me live or by replay right now, it is vitally important that you share, number one. Number two, it's important that you like this video. And then number three, it's important that you comment below and let us know you're here. You know, the commenting part is just a matter of being nice, man. You know, you're walking into a room— this is actually a room when you come into a live— there are other people here, or there are other people that are gonna be here. So say hello and let people let people know who you are, where you from. I will be so grateful for that. And definitely we want you to share this. Listen, I'm not going to prolong the time with a lot of preliminary tonight. I want to get right into this. I believe tonight's message is going to be phenomenal. I believe it's going to be life-changing. So don't go anywhere, don't scroll, stay right here with me. God's going to meet us in this teaching tonight. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, We thank you tonight for another opportunity to share your word. We thank you for life. We thank you for health. We thank you for strength. And we understand that you are transcendent, you are imminent, and all things come from you, God. You, you move in and out of our life, God. You're constantly a part and aware of who we are. So, Father, we thank you and we connect with that fact tonight that indeed Father, you are real. So Father, we thank you for being real in our lives tonight. Have your way in this teaching. Your word declares that you sent your word and it healed them. And so God, as we teach, let the word bring healing to cardiovascular disease. Let it bring healing to cancer. Let it bring healing and deliverance to HIV/AIDS. Let it bring healing, deliverance to high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol. God, move by your power. Any ailment that's present tonight, we declare with your stripes we are healed in the name of Jesus. We declare to be so. Amen and amen. And we are thankful that tonight we're going to experience the the light, the illumination, and the intelligence. Glory to God of the Holy Ghost. Listen, I want to get right into this tonight. I tried to teach, uh, start teaching this last week. This is still a part of our series, When God Wins. This is actually installment number 12 of this series where we're really discovering how to accept the timing of the Lord. We've been laying a lot of backdrop to where we are tonight. And I'm just so glad we finally have arrived here after 11 times being in front of you. We're here tonight. We're gonna really get into, uh, some really meat about God's timing. And the first piece of that, family, I want to share— listen, again, I'm not prolonging the time, I'm jumping in with both feet tonight— is you are not in control. And that fact, for you and I and other humans to accept, is one of the hardest realities to embrace, to digest— that we're actually not in control of our life. And so this message tonight, uh, is entitled My Times Are in Your Hands. Would you lift your hands to Jesus and say this to him. Say, Lord, my times are in your hands. Now I need you to mean that. Yes, God, I need you to receive that. I need you to accept the fact that God is in control and he's controlling your time. So let's look at some things tonight. Let's— matter of fact, let's go to Psalm 31. Uh, let's get this thing started. Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. Y'all all right on this Thursday night? Listen, I'm good, man. I'm, I'm excited to teach the word. I've been in my office working all day, which is an exciting thing. Um, I'm getting back to myself. I'm trying to, uh, just play catch up on a lot of things I need to catch up on. Uh, I want to make sure I take my clients, man. So we're trying to organize some things so we can get my clients taken care of in a timely manner and do some of the things we need to do, trying to make sure we're all— we're hitting on all cylinders in the timing of the Lord with ministry. And I'm just so excited, you know, for this season and where God has us. Amen. Uh, Psalm 31, let's read verses 14 and 15. Thank you, Lord. All right, the Bible says, but I trusted in thee, O Lord. I said, thou art my God. Hear this, listen guys. Verse 15, he says, my times are in thy hand. Listen to this, deliver me from the hand of mine enemies. And from them— listen to this— that persecute me. So here we have David, but this is what is called an imprecatory psalm. A psalm of imprecation is a psalm that summons God's help for defense. It is a psalm that is directly ministered to God to produce God's help toward enemies. And so in this particular Psalm, the psalmist is running for his life. Saul is trying to kill him. He's in a cave called Adullam, and he begins to write and pray and speak to God. And he says, Lord, I have trusted you. Now I want— and we've saw this word a few times in this teaching, batak in Hebrew, which means I've had confidence totally in you. But now I can imagine when I think about, uh, the tone— hear me, guys— and the nature of how the psalmist is speaking. Hear me, guys, he's in a place where he has to not only remind God that he has trusted him in times past But also, guys, to remind himself that, God, I'm in a predicament. I don't know how I'm gonna get out. I don't unders— and listen, maybe you haven't been there, but I've been there a few times in my life, man, where while I knew in my spirit God had not forsaken me, my flesh and the enemy was telling me he had. And my flesh and my enemy was speaking, you ain't coming out of this, you won't bounce back from this. But the end of the day, God was steadily saying, you could trust me. And the reality is, everything that he allows, everything that shows up, it's a lesson in batok, it's a lesson in building confidence. But there are seasons where you have to remind yourself if he did it before— hear me, family— he'll do it again, and that you can trust him, and that you can be confident that no matter what it looks like, he's going to bring you out. Now, if you're one of those persons that you really never trusted God before, for real anyway, you know, you're going to always run situations where your, your confidence is being tested so you can actually see what it looks like for God to show up for you. Because really, honestly, when you look back over your shoulder, how many times can you say God showed up for you and you didn't show up for yourself? Or it wasn't all you that did it, and you really just didn't yield yourself, your members, to the will and the way of God and cooperate and co-labor with him to get it done. See, this is why you get frustrated. And again, I've been in these places, man, so I'm not just hitting at you where you think God is forsaking you, but it's because you really never trusted God for anything anyway. You've always put trust in you. And the reality is, God can beat you providing, he can beat you taking care of you, being a father to you than you can be to yourself on any day. So the psalmist says, I trusted in you, Lord. I said you are my God. This guy's trying to kill me. I know you got me, and I trusted you in the past. This is tough, but God, I trusted you in the past. I've declared you're my God. Don't let me down. Now. He says, my times are in your hand. Oh my God, deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from them that persecute me. There comes a place where you got to resolve that he's in control. And here's what I know, man. This is what these times have taught me, and here's what I believe David is saying to us in this psalm, that trust Trust alone, all by itself, can give you peace concerning God's timing. When it seems like he's taking forever, if you just trust him, you'll find peace on the inside that you're not alone and that any day now you're coming out of what you're in. Somebody throw your head back and say, Lord, I trust you. Oh God, I'm telling you, you need to just put your trust in Jesus. He loves you, man. He wants to take care of you. He wants to look out for you. He wants to have your back. Oh my God, go to 1 Peter 5:6. Let's get through this tonight. 1 Peter 5:6. I'm teaching better than y'all saying amen. Glory to God. If I'm, if I'm talking right already, just type in the comments, you're talking right, you're talking right. Glory to God. Just say it, you're talking right, Apostle, you're talking right, Michael, whatever you want to call me. Just say you're talking right, because I, I want to, I want to know, I want to believe that I'm touching you in the right places tonight. Uh, 1 Peter 5:6 says this, says humble yourselves Therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Due time. What is due time, Michael? Due time. Due time. First of all, I'm going to tell you before I really get into this, that due time is not your time. Oh my God, due time is not your time. It's not when you want it to happen. Uh, it's just like a bill. There's a due date on that bill, and most of the time most people don't want that bill to be on that due date because they can think of a whole lot of other things they could be doing with their money on that due date other than paying that bill. Due time is not always comfortable, okay, because God chooses his timing very strategically. So due time is this: it's when God knows we're ready— watch this— not when you think you're ready. I'm gonna say this again. Because there's a whole lot of you listening to me right now that think you're ready, think it ought to be here, think the blessing should already be upon you, and you're not ready. But due time is when God knows that we are ready to receive what he's planned. Say due time. So you got to believe that God knows you better than you know yourself. See, if God did it before time, it could cause you some problems. We're going to get into that in a moment. Let's go to Habakkuk 2:3. Habakkuk 2:3. Stay with me. Habakkuk 2:3. Glory to God. Habakkuk 2:3. We've read these scriptures time and time again. Glory to God. Uh, but I want to just visit them tonight. Watch this. The Bible says, for the vision, the vision is yet for an appointed time. Hear me, guys. But at the end, listen to this, it shall speak and not lie. Though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come to pass. So this deals with— so we, we saw what due time was in 1 Peter 5:6. But Habakkuk 2:3 talks to us about appointed time. So when you start talking about our time being in God's hands, so he has due time in his hands, he has appointed time in his hands. Glory to the name of God. And what we got to understand is he's in control. So what is appointed time? Appointed time, okay, let's look at the word appoint. Appointed or appointment or appoint. Two words, a and point, are the roots of all of those words, which means there's a point, a point. Now what does that mean? An appointment is a point that has been prearranged in advance. It's a— an appointment is a prearranged meeting. So a point, or in time, was arranged in advance. So when God appoints something for your life, it has already been pre-arranged in his supernatural divine intellectual ability. He's already arranged— hear me, guys— what's going on, what's going to be, what's going to happen. It's pre-arranged. You just got to be where you need to be and be in alignment. We read it before in Proverbs 16:9. I'll read it again. It says, a man A man's mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Hear this, and makes them sure. Hear me, Father. Oh my God. So your mind, you think it ought to go one way or to happen at a certain time. God is saying, I've already appointed a time, because again, that will be due time and you will be ready to receive what I'm about to manifest. And let me say something about this. You can delay appointed time and due time through disobedience. I'm gonna say that one more time. You could delay appointed time and due time through disobedience. Watch this. When you're on point and you have prepared yourself, you've gone through the plowing, you've gone through the seasons of your life, you've gone through seed time Glory to God, you've gone through waiting and weeding, and when the appointed time of harvest shows up and you're ready, that time is never too late. You may think in your mind it's too late, but God's appointed time is never too late. He knows right when to show up. Oh my God, matter of fact, let's read Habakkuk 2:3 um, in the Living Bible. Glory to God. Because I want to bring out something, because one of the things we read, it said that at the end, the vision, the harzan, which is God's optimal reality for your future— y'all heard me teach this so many times, but I want you to grab it— God has an optimized, maximized reality for your future. There's a future he's planned. There's a future he desires for your marriage, for your life, for your finances, for your ministry, for your business. There's a future he's optimized. He's already planned it. You gotta again get in line so you can receive it. So, because guess what? That vision will speak and not lie. So, so let's read this. Uh, in the Living Bible it says, but these things I plan— listen to this— won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. My God, today God is always moving slow, slow, slow. Slow, slow, but it's steady. And here's the catch, it's sure. Once it shows up, it'll never fade, it'll never go away, it'll always be. You know, because a lot of times we misinterpret pace. Slow, because pace and being slow when you're moving toward a goal Those words are interchangeable. So you've heard the term haste makes waste. I agree it's not biblical, but I agree it makes waste. You got to get out of a hurry. You know, some of you are going nowhere fast. Some of you running and don't even know where you're going. Here's the reality: if it seems slow It's slow for a reason, especially if it's coming from God. Again, 9 times out of 10, there are some, uh, seasons of preparation that you need to endure, that you need to— oh my God— overcome so you can be qualified for the manifestation of vision. So if it seems slow, don't despair. Hear me, guys. Don't despair, for these things are going to surely come to pass. You got to just be patient and allow God to be in control. Listen, I'm gonna tell you something. God will not be overdue a single day because that's not how he works. You may be, and a lot of times because you're not in the will of God, you're not in faith, you're not aligned with his mindset and his plan. You find yourself in overwhelming situations where you're overdue, where you're behind. And again, I've been here, man. When I've gotten in those situations, it's always because somewhere I've derailed from faith and start focusing on me and my ability. But the moment I get back in faith, floodgates open and he provides. Yeah, I'm just telling you from my own wisdom and experience, you could keep doing it your way But I promise you, that's frustrating when you're saved because there's a promise over your life that you're supposed to defeat certain things, and you're not supposed to be late, you're not supposed to be overdue, you're not supposed to have burdens with bills. That— yeah, I heard somebody talking about this, uh, and they were talking about how you're gonna always have bills and you always be burdened. That's not Bible. That's not the life God planned for us to be burdened by. Finances and bills. He has a vision that once it's manifested, it should catapult us into a place of provision. Watch this, that we live on the other side of money. I dare you type in the comments and say, Lord, take me to the other side of money. Lord, take me to the other side of money. You know what that is? That, that means you have your bills on autopay and you never worry about them at all. Yeah, take us to the other side of money, Lord. Hallelujah. That means you have no debt. All of your bills are paid where you— that are connected to a deed or a— oh my God— or a mortgage or a title. Glory to God. You are zero, free from debt. Lord, take us to the other side of money where you walk in a store and you don't look at price tags. Somebody said, there you go, talking about money again. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna keep talking about it because God doesn't want you to stay broke. He doesn't want me broke. He don't want us to walk around here living hand to mouth, paycheck to paycheck, having more month than money every month. I'll say it again, more month than money every month. That ain't God's will. And if you're living like that, I don't care how much you speak in tongues, you're out of the will of God. I don't care how much you roll on the floor. I don't care how much you jump, book, shout, roll, spit, blow bubbles. If you're broke, you're out of the will of God. And I'm telling you, I, I never want to go back to that place again. Matter of fact, I dare you declare it by faith right now: I'll never be broke another day in my life. Say it again. Say, I'll never be broke another day in my life. And you got to declare that, and you got to keep declaring it, and you got to declare it until you align with God's plan for you concerning— hallelujah— your life. Glory to God. God ain't gonna never be overdue, not one single day, man. Not one single day. Look at Habakkuk 2:4. The Bible says, behold— still in Habakkuk 2, this is verse 4— behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him. Hear this, but the just, listen to this, shall live by his faith. I kind of got ahead of myself while I was talking a few moments ago. Okay, ah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you gotta live by his faith. Oh my God. So watch this, I'm gonna help somebody right here, and then I'm gonna break this down before I'm gonna read this one in Living Bible too. You gotta beware of pride. Watch this, because pride— listen to this— when it comes to the things of God, it always causes Ooh, God, forgive us. Self-reliance. Forgive us, Father. Oh boy. Always causes self-reliance and failure. Ooh. Ooh. Where you lean on your— oh yeah, you ain't committing adultery, you ain't lying, you ain't cheating, you ain't cussing and all that. You're not fornicating, but you operating in a level of pride that causes this self-reliance where you feel like you gotta help God take care of you. Now yeah, you gotta work and you gotta build your businesses, but you got to do all of that by faith, and you gotta allow it to be a part of God's plan, not you relying on what you think works. Oh boy. Let me read 2:4 in the Living Bible. Note this, right? He says, wicked men trust themselves— oh my God— and they depend on themselves alone, as the Chaldeans do, and they fail. But the righteous man trusts in me and lives. So it is being equated scripturally to wickedness, to trust in yourself and to be proud like Shaddaians. And this again causes failure. But if you're really righteous, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, again, you stop fornicating, great. You stop committing adultery, great. You stop lying, stop cussing, great. But are you really a righteous man? Are you really a righteous woman? Are you walking by faith or by sight? Are you deposited totally in him and alive and living? Oh my God, oh my God, people, I got to get out of here. I'm almost done, for real. I ain't gonna be long tonight. See, again, the series is called When God Win, but accepting God's will concerning when, it's going to lead you to peace. It's going to lead you— watch this— remember I told you peace is the presence of assistance, not the absence of confusion. So when I'm trusting God, it leads me to the presence of his assistance. He shows up in his imminent way, in his transcendent way, and he helps. But watch this: when you get frustrated about waiting on God, about the when, it steals your now. It steals the moments you have to enjoy Now watch this. You can't let your distance between a promise or God's timing get you so frustrated that you stop living your life. Listen, live. I command you to live. Don't let what you're going through steal the joy of now. Lord have mercy. You got to decide to enjoy the journey because it might be a long one. Listen, there are some things I was believing God for 25 years ago. I'm just seeing them manifest in my life now. But you know what? I never have stopped living. I haven't stopped preaching. I haven't stopped building. I haven't stopped aligning myself in relationship with God. I did not allow timing, the timing of the Lord to— oh my God— frustrate me so that I was just sitting around doing nothing. If you're waiting, serve like a waiter or a waitress. Glory to God, glory to God. You got to know that you're in a season of preparation. You're in a season of process. You're in a season where God is maximizing his potential in you through relationship. And when you know that, you know, like Jesus, you could say, my time has not come. Lord, I wish some of these preachers, some of these apostles, some of these prophets, some of these pastors, some of these teachers, some of these ministers, some of these wannabe life coaches, some of these people who just simply are not ready. Not saying they won't ever be, but some of these people are simply not ready. I wish they would take note from the greatest leader to ever walk this planet, Jesus Christ. And he was able, when asked to do something it wasn't his time to do, he opened his mouth and said, my time has not yet come. Matter of fact, let's go to it. John 7:6. John 7:6. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Some of you need to learn to say no. Yeah, yeah, just say no. All right, just say no. I know it's tempting. I know you're gifted, but you're not ready. One of my sons was texting me yesterday about, you know, a couple of his sons, and I was like, you know, both of these guys, you know, I just, just thinking about how unready they are just when I consider the timing, you know. So when you come from a school of thought that the supernatural will suspend processes and create acceleration, that can be dangerous, okay? Because at the end of the day, while God can eliminate the process, and in rare occasions he does, while he can suspend the rules and jump you over seasons of preparation because someone needs what you have at that moment. It doesn't negate the fact that you still need to be processed. There's some things that only time teach. There's some things that are born in wisdom that will only happen in time. There are things my natural father, and who's also my spiritual father too. My daddy is one of my— he's my— he is the progenitor of who I am. Glory to God. There are things he knows about life, about God, about walking with God I'll never know until I reach his age. Glory to God. He's a very wise man. There are things that he— I— now watch this. Here's a tragedy. I ain't always believed that the wisdom— glory to the name of God— that we carry is born in time. So let me just qualify that because I was a young preacher myself at one time. Who believed I knew everything, and that was the dumbest thing that I could think. I'm discovering every time I talk to my daddy, I learned something, you know, I— because he can't— he's a walking epitome of wisdom. But when you— when you— you got to be able to recognize and accept, like Jesus, my time has not come. I, I can stand some more preparation in this area. Okay, let's read it. And this he said to prove him— I'm sorry, that's wrong, uh, that I'm going to chapter 7. That was chapter 6. Chapter 7, verse 6. Then Jesus said unto them, my time is not yet come. That's a phrase I'm telling you that the body of Christ needs, that could be introduced to the body of Christ. My time is not yet come. So people will get out of a hurry Yeah, I know a young man that's, uh, God have mercy. I, I'm not going to get into that because I can give a list of just all these people who are in ministry who are self-appointed. And again, not that in some— see, because you can be on target but out of time. Not to say in season God won't affirm that they are an apostle in the earth. With them through process and relationship or profit. But when you get used one time and now you label yourself, you're self-appointed and you got to accept the reality. Like Jesus, Jesus said to them, my time ain't come, but your time is always ready. See, watch this, people will try to use emotions and tactics to push you into a season you're not ready for. Oh wee! You got to be like Jesus and refuse to be moved emotionally. Oh God, today, listen, Waiting for the right time to speak is very important. Listen, there was a season in my life and ministry where I said whatever I felt like saying, whenever I felt like saying it. And I thought I was his big— because I was learning how to— because there's an apostolic aggression that can almost be mean if you don't learn to control it and balance it with love. I just want to tell you, it causes a lot of trouble. It hurts people's feelings. It will split a church. It will close doors for you that you should be able to walk through. All of that has happened to me because waiting for the right time to speak is very important. Listen, I matured in this area. Uh, my wife tells me all the time, even from the time I've been married to her, I've known her— I've known her going on, my wife Felicia, 6 years now. And from the time she's met me, uh, she tells me that, you know, I've changed a lot in terms of, you know, my attitude, how I am towards people, you know, how I could, you know, just kind of go there with you really quick and get you in place. Uh, I matured in this area. You know, I can sense, I can discern in the spirit, uh, when the time is right for even me to talk to her or not to talk to people. You know, at the end of the day, and I've learned how to season words with grace, just because you feel like talking, it ain't always the right time to talk. Jesus said, look, my time ain't come. You got to understand, your time ain't come. Listen, if I force an issue trying to make somebody talk to me about something that it ain't time to talk about just because I want to answer right now, especially dealing with my wife or anybody else, that's a, that's a problem. You can't do that just because you don't have peace about it. I can't do that. And guess what? Anytime I do that, I get an answer I don't like. And it leads to strife and offense between me and the person I'm talking to. So at the end of the day, you got to have the peace of God and the timing of God to speak. And, and these are just matters of personal relationship. What more, you taking a mic and talking to a group of people and you ain't ready to talk to them, and you end up hurting them more than you help them. Listen, I've even learned with stuff that God is telling me to do, or things I want to share with my wife. If I wait until God releases me to share it, her heart is prepared. Yeah, that's important, man. But if I share it before time, her heart is not prepared and it causes strife. Oh Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. I gotta go. I gotta go. But if I wait and her heart is prepared and our conversations are favorable, Listen and watch this. Even if I share something— God, I love you for this— that God told me to share in the right timing, and if she responds with an answer I don't necessarily like or have peace with Okay, hear me, guys. I am able to graciously receive what she says without strife. But if I share out of time, no, it's gonna be a back and forth. What am I saying to you? You gotta know when your time has come. When you move outside of your time, you're moving prematurely. To be— when something is premature, it means it exists prior to the assigned time. I'm gonna say that again. If it's premature, that means it is existing prior to the assigned time. Again, we got a whole lot of premature things out here right now that we need to set straight. Hear me, guys. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:11— I'm closing— that everything is beautiful in its time. Matter of fact, it says that God makes everything beautiful in its time. When things are birthed prematurely, glory to the name of God, they have to fight to— for health. They have to fight to be healthy, to be strong. they have to go through processes that, oh my God, a mature fetus or mature baby, that newborn that is born full term, would not have to fight through. That goes through the full time. God says everything is beautiful in its time. Some fights you will avoid. Oh my God, some struggles you'll avoid. Oh my God, you know, when I, when I study messages like this, and every time I teach on this, it just takes my life back, man, to years. I wish 30 years ago I would have had clarity on this message, because a lot of things that I went through I would have avoided. Because a lot of things I went through because I moved out of time, I moved prematurely. I need you tonight. I'm coming to a close. Take inventory of the premature things in your life. Eliminate them. Glory to God. And align yourself in God's timing. So if you really— if you read, and I'm not going to go there and read all of them, we're just going to pick a few verses out of this. But I want you to read— for those of you that love the Bible, that love the word, and, and ask the Holy Spirit before you read it to give you some understanding, some comprehension— I want you to read Galatians 4:22 through Galatians 5:1. And what you're going to find when you read this, you're going to find first of all two covenants in these texts, and you're going to see one brings joy and the other brings struggle. You don't— when you read it, you're gonna see two covenants. One's gonna bring joy, and the other one is gonna bring struggle. Oh my God. So you gotta choose if you're gonna be under the covenant of freedom, life in the spirit, or you're gonna be under covenant of bondage, sin, struggle, flesh, of your own works. Let's look at Galatians 4:27. Let's go there. I'm almost done. I'm almost through, as the old preacher would say. Galatians 4:27. Preach. Old preacher would say, I'm coming quickly to a close. Galatians 4:27. You find these words. What's he saying? For it is written Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not, break forth and cry that thou travailest not, for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath a husband. What is he saying? He's saying our works— that's all the scriptures say— our personal works leave us barren. Oh my God. And waiting for a promise. We're sitting here barren, waiting for the promise. But when you are waiting in faith and in the works of God, it brings forth harvest and fruitfulness. So when you, when you are bringing your words, you're going to be fruitless, you're going to be barren. But if you wait on God and move in his timing, you'll have harvest and fruitfulness. Jump down to verse 29. It says, but as then he that was born after the flesh— watch this— was after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. Okay, there's a war. That's all this is saying, between our flesh and spirit. Mup, listen. Much of the struggle we experience in our walk with God— hear me, guys— is rooted in our not willing to be obedient and wait on God's timing. When you don't have a willingness to wait on God's timing, it brings struggle. And watch this, there's a war. Going on, and your spirit wants to wait. Your spirit man wants to trust God, and your flesh is trying to pull you in the other direction and get you to run ahead of God. I'm giving an example. Ishmael persecuted Isaac, just like the flesh tries to oppress and persecute the spirit. Here's a question to you as I close: who has the greatest voice in your life, your flesh or your spirit? Oh my God, today drop down to verse 30. It says, nevertheless, what said the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free woman. What is he saying? He said, cast out the bondwoman. Make a decision to get rid of all of the works of the flesh. Again, that's that covenant of the flesh, a covenant of the spirit. What you want? What you want? You want to, you want to live under this covenant of your flesh? Listen, you could be saved and living under the covenant of your flesh. I gotta go, y'all. God, I gotta go. One more scripture. Galatians 5:1, please. What? Galatians 5:1. It says, stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Period. So cast that flesh out, cast the works of the flesh down, and the Bible says here, stand fast in freedom. What's liberty, Mike Woods? I'm glad you asked. Eleutheria in Greek. And I'm done, and I'm done, I'm done, I'm done. Liberty is a license— watch this— to access things beyond your nature. That's what liberty means here. Oh my God, eleutheria, a license Oh my God, to assess things beyond your natural nature. When you kick the bondwoman out, when you destroy the works of the flesh and choose to walk after the Spirit and walk by faith, you get a license to assess things in the realm of the spirit that you never I've said this before, stand fast in that license. Let's pray. Father, we thank you for this word. I pray, God, in the name of Jesus, that we will understand due time, appointed time. And Father, we will win the battle between the works of the flesh and the law of liberty that we find in the realm of the spirit. Spirit. And I declare, God, that every person on the sound of my voice will move in patience, will move in pace, and will pace themselves with you. And they will see the manifested product that you have promised for their lives. In Jesus' name, amen and amen. Listen, guys, thank you so much for tuning in tonight. I pray this word has been a blessing to you. Listen, very quickly, I want to challenge you to be a support to ministry. Every time you give, you are blessing us, but you're also setting yourself up for supernatural harvest. I want every person under the sound of my voice tonight to get seed in the ground. The ways to give are on the screen. If Every gift you give is appreciated. Let me pray really quick for your giving. Father, bless their seed and give it back to them a thousand times more than it is now, in Jesus' name. Listen, I thank you guys. My time is gone. Listen, until next time, y'all be blessed. And remember, share the word with a friend. And remember, your decisions will set you up for dominion. I love you. God bless you. Peace. Thanks.
