Radah Church | "I THINK I AM RIGHT, BUT I MIGHT BE WRONG" | DR MIKE WOODS SR.

In this livestream sermon, Dr. Mike Woods Sr. (joined by worship intercessors) delivers a passionate, interactive teaching titled “I THINK I AM RIGHT, BUT I MIGHT BE WRONG.” The message weaves together biblical exposition, personal testimony, and practical exhortation to expose the dangers of pride, discord, and self‑reliance. Woods argues that thinking one is right while ignoring God’s perspective leads to deception, discouragement, distraction, and ultimately spiritual death. He traces the chain from pride → arrogance → isolation → “abortion” of God‑given purpose → adventurism → adultery, illustrating each step with scriptural references (1 Corinthians 8, Genesis 3, Isaiah 61, Jeremiah 1:5, etc.). He emphasizes humility as the antidote, urging believers to align their knowledge with God’s wisdom, to respect the “space between stimulus and response,” and to trust God as vindicator. Throughout, he shares anecdotes about his own struggles with pride, a workplace conflict, and examples of how God can anoint minds without formal training. The sermon also critiques legalistic church practices, superficial worship, and the tendency to chase numbers, calling for a church that reflects God’s name, not human celebrity. The overall tone is fervent, exhortative, and often interactive, with repeated “Yes, God” responses from the congregation.

Father, bless us today, God. Thank you as we've come into this house, and as Lady Felicia already prayed, we thank you that your presence is here with us and that this place has been provided by you as a space where we can worship you and give you glory. And we thank you for that. We don't take it for granted, God, the opportunity we have to render to you everything that belongs to you.
Yes, God.
And Father, we're grateful. We're grateful for the provisions you make for this house.
Yes, God.
We're grateful, God, for the people you have called in this house to partner with us, and even those outside of us that partner with us. We thank you for them now. Yes, God. And Lord, as we prepare our hearts to receive the word, yes, God, open our hearts to hear. Let our hearts be prepared as good ground.
Yes, Lord.
And as the word is released, God, let it land on good ground.
Father, yes, Lord.
Break up the fallow ground even now, Lord Jesus. Yes, God. That we may reap this word we're about to receive in due season if we faint not.
Yes, God.
And Father, I thank you now for the light, the illumination, and the intelligence of the Holy Spirit. Sit Michael Woods down and do something in me that man cannot do. Yes. I pray for those that even watch this live stream or watch this video by replay or listen to this via podcast. I decree and declare now that their lives will never be the same and that they will move in a level of peace that will surpass the understanding of those around them. And we bless you for it now, and we give you all the praise. In Jesus' name.
Yes, sir.
Come on, just say it one more time. Yahweh, Yahweh. Come on, one more time. Yahweh, Yahweh. Come on, we praise, we praise Yahweh, we praise Yahweh. He's so worthy. Hallelujah! I want to welcome those that are here live, glory to God, watching us this morning. Thank you for being here. Do me a kind favor and share this video. Praise the Lord! Glory to the name of God. I promise you it'll be worth your time, and I'm not going to hold you long. Praise the name of Jesus. We bless him and we give him all the glory. He's our King, you know, and he's our God, he's our friend, and beside him there is no other. I'm going to continue our series this morning, praise God, that we have been teaching. Remember, I started teaching about discord, and this has flowed into really something about strife, praise God, because that's what discord leads to.
Yes.
So I want to continue along these lines. Praise the name of God on this morning. Praise the Lord.
Amen.
And I just believe that we're going to receive something from the Lord. Yes. Y'all glad to be here this morning? Hallelujah. Those of you that's watching us live, praise God. Again, I need you to share this.
Yes.
Hallelujah. I need you to share it this word is going to be revolutionary, life-changing. Praise God. And we're grateful. Hallelujah to what God's going to do in this room. Um, on Thursday I share with you a few things. I think I'm right, but I might be wrong. And there are a whole lot of people who move in pride. Glory to God.
Yeah.
And They think they're right.
Yeah.
And they dead wrong. Pride will make you live in deception.
Yes, it will.
Are y'all hearing me? Yes. I'm gonna say that again. I gotta wipe my glasses because they fogged up and I need to see. Glory to God. Pride will cause you to live in deception. Yes. Are y'all hearing me? Come on, touch yourself and say that. Say, pride, pride will cause me, will cause me to live in deception. It also leads to— and I dealt with this, I said I dealt with this Thursday— arrogance leads to a lot. Yes, aloneness leads to abortion. Yeah, you abort the dream, you abort the plan, you abort God's original purpose for your life because, praise God, You are a God alone, by yourself, and purpose cannot be fulfilled in isolation. Say that with me. Say, purpose cannot be fulfilled in isolation. Which means you need somebody, and being arrogant, you're not going to have the people around you that you need to really finish what God has called you to finish.
Amen.
Are y'all here?
Yes.
And then that abortion ultimately leads to adventurism.
My mind—
adventurism, praise God, is taking uncalculated risk, doing things that are not aligned with God's plan.
Amen.
Taking risks that God have not ordained.
Yes.
I believe that faith is a risk, but it's a risk of obedience to what God says. We should not become reckless and adventurous where we do things that God did not say, God did not ordain.
Amen.
That's not his plan. Then that adventurism I told you Thursday leads to adultery. Yes. And this all stems out of pride. Yes. Because when you think you're right and you might be wrong, you are living that deception and you just never get where God's trying to take you. Amen. And discord also causes— so when we start living in this pride and under discord, we live discouraged. Yes, most people who sow discord are always discouraged. They're always frustrated. They can't get along with nobody. Are y'all hearing me? Glory to God. They always causing problems because they're discouraged. Yeah, you ever heard the term misery Love company. My God, it's the truth.
Yeah, glory to God.
Most people who are miserable want to make everybody else miserable. That's right. But you know what you gotta do? You gotta refuse to buy into other people's misery. Glory to God. You just gotta refuse, because that discord, that, uh, place of discontent in them was trying to rub off on you. Yeah, and then what ends up happening, you get distracted. Yeah, anybody that's discouraged is always distracted. Yeah, glory to God. Talk about these in the first message. Anybody discouraged is always distracted. They're never focused, they're never on course. Every little thing throws them off track because, watch this, they're trying to find something, being adventurous, that ministers to— oh my goodness, their discouragement. Yes, they're trying to find everything they can to encourage them because they're out of the will. People who are aligned with the will of God are encouraged.
That's right, that's right.
They feel good about life because they're clear about where God is taking them. I feel good about life because I know where I'm going. Yes, I'll never let my present discourage me because I'm clear about where I'm headed. Amen. Oh my God, hallelujah! And so every day, instead of focusing on where I am, I focus on where I'm going. Yeah, I dare you to touch yourself and say, self, say you're going somewhere. Those who watch me, I dare you to touch yourself and say, self, I'm going somewhere. And if you remind yourself that there is a destination that's bigger than you, praise the name of God, every day You'll, you'll be encouraged to win.
Yes, yes.
So discouragement, distractions that ultimately cause delays, all this come out of discord. Thinking you're right and you might be wrong. Glory to God. In discord with yourself, in discord with God, in discord with others, then you end up delaying something that should have took 6 months, takes 6 years.
Yes, hallelujah.
Oh, ask the Israelites. They could have went into the Promised Land in 12 days. It took 40 years because they were distracted. Yes, they were discouraged because things was not going the way they thought they would be in the wilderness. Yeah, when all they had to do was simply trust God. Yeah, and if they would have trusted God, God would have guided them into the promised land in 12 days. Yeah, but every detour they took was born out of a bad delay because they was discouraged.
Yes. Hallelujah.
They took detours because they were afraid of the Moabites.
Yes.
The Jebusites and the inhabitants of Mount Seir. So they start taking these detours, and that's how you end up delayed, because you're distracted, you're discouraged, so you start trying to take shortcuts.
Yes.
And ultimately it causes death.
Yes, it does.
You die and you never fulfill the purpose. I'm here to tell you this morning, I will not die until I'm finished. My goal is to die empty.
Yes.
Oh God, hallelujah. You want to make up in your mind you're not going to take nothing you're supposed to leave in the earth to the grave.
Amen.
Touch your belly and say, I'm God's delivery system. I'm God's delivery system in the earth.
In the earth.
Say, I'm carrying a package.
I'm carrying a package.
Good God from Zion. And listen, you're pregnant and God's the daddy.
Yes, right.
And there's something you got to drop off in the earth that nobody else has.
Amen.
Jeremiah 1:5 says, before he formed you in your mother's belly, he knew you.
Yes, right.
Knew is an intimate word. It didn't mean he have sex with you. Yada means that he had intimacy in a place where he imparted to you. Yes, he gave you instructions, he gave you wisdom, he gave you an assignment. Before you ever got here. Yes, you came carrying this package in your spirit, and you're here to drop it off. But discord will keep us from dropping it off. Yeah, thinking we're right. Yes, but we're wrong.
Hallelujah.
Will keep us from dropping it off. My glasses get on my nerve. I gotta take them back to optometrist. That's why I wear them often. Because sometimes I put them on, feel like they falling on my face. Listen, let me tell you something. When God plans something for you, yes, he intends for you to follow it through.
That's right.
Here's the problem, we gotta find out what he planned. Yes, it's a lot of people around here walking around who think they're right. Yes, and they did wrong. So let's pick it up. So last week I talked to you about how in order to get back on track, first of all, I took you through some scriptures on Thursday where you got to have humility. Say humility. Humility is a key. Yes, the Bible said he resists the proud. Yes, outside all that other stuff I said, the main priority when it comes to pride ought to be that God resists the proud. Yes. So if no other reason to be humble, it ought to be because you don't want to be resisted by God.
Amen.
Now I'm not teaching you something I have not lived. Honestly, even when I didn't have a pot to pee in or wanted to throw it out, there was seasons in my life where I walked in a very prideful arrogance because I was insecure.
Hallelujah!
Most people won't admit that, but I had insecurities that I was battling.
Yeah.
And to make up for my insecurities, I moved to this level of pride and deceptively called it confidence. Yes. I thought I was right, but I was wrong. And what I didn't realize, a lot of things that I was trying to do in those seasons was hard because God was resisting.
Amen.
God said, I can't exalt you, I can't put you here because you're too prideful. Yes. And I had to realize that. And God took me through things, unfortunately, because I thought I was right. Oh yeah. But I was that wrong. But he took me through things that humbled me.
Yes.
Are y'all hearing me?
Doing good work. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
And that's why in all that God has done for me in my life today, yes, I know I can wake up tomorrow and it all be gone. Yes, right, because God is the source of everything. So I move in humility because I understand I don't want to be resisted by God, and I want him to exalt me because I'm—
Yes, hallelujah.
He resists the proud.
Yes, hallelujah.
But he exalts the humble. Yeah, I got to get through, y'all. I'm gonna get out of here. I got a plane to catch today. Listen, and I talked to you Thursday, that all of man's ways— yes, all right— in his own eyes, yeah, everybody thinks they're the stuff. Everybody thinks they're all that and a bag of chips. You know how I discovered It doesn't matter how pretty you are.
Amen.
It don't matter how fine you are.
Amen.
Y'all not talking to me here. It doesn't matter how skinny, how heavy you are. Amen. Because beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That's right.
To me, my wife is beautiful. To me, she's fine. To me, somebody else may say she's not. Yeah, but to me she's fine. Yeah, somebody look at me and say I'm not good looking, but to her she— because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yeah, watch this. So in your own eyes, you see things the way you see them.
Yes, right.
But you know, I don't care how fine a woman could be. Yeah, she can wear a size 3, but there's always something wrong. Yeah, on everybody. Yes, to humble you.
No, perfect.
I promise you, Halle Berry, as beautiful as she is, Beyoncé, same, same thing they got that messes them up, as beautiful as they is. Next time you see Beyoncé on the video, look at her ankles. As fine as this woman is, her ankles are this big. Or am I not supposed to say Beyoncé is fine in church? I'm sorry, that's the truth. She is. I always tell my wife, you're gonna always see somebody finer than me.
Yeah.
And I'm always thinking about finding you.
Yeah.
But I'm, I'm, I love you.
Yeah.
That's just true. Y'all don't like that kind of truth. That's the truth. Hallelujah. The reality, that's just reality. That's right. We'd be crazy thinking nobody look better than us.
Uh-uh.
That's crazy.
Yeah, it is.
So, but look at Halle Berry's ankles. You got all that beauty from head to your ankles.
Yeah.
And then I saw a red carpet thing with Halle Berry one time, and I looked at her shoes, and she had these little bumps on the top of her shoes. I said, she probably got some corns on her feet. Her feet probably totally jacked up. Are y'all hearing me? So God will put— leave you with something. Oh yeah, that you have to be humble. Oh yeah. Are y'all hearing me?
Yeah. He's the perfect—
oh, y'all got to see— go ahead and sing. So, but I talked about that last week. A man in his own eyes, all humans, you're right. Yes. But then I gave you the scripture where The Lord said to Samuel, when you were little in your own sight, yeah, that's when the Lord anointed you. Yeah, see, when you humble, God will anoint you. Yes, and he'll exalt.
Yes, he will.
All right, and then I ended Thursday with pride causes judgment from Matthew 7:1-5. Y'all go back and read that. So today I want to start here with knowledge. And pride. Say, I think.
I think.
Say again. Say, I think. I think. Everybody has the power to think. Yeah, you ought to be thinking. You ought to be using your mind. Say it again. Say, I think. I think. Come on, say it one more time. Say, I think.
I think.
Glory to God. Go to 1 Corinthians 8, verse 1. My God, today.
God, you're good.
Hallelujah. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 8:1, here it is, it says, now as touching things offered idols, Here it is. Okay, it's showing on YouTube. He said, now as things are offered to idols. Yes, here it is. We know that we all have knowledge. Say, I got some knowledge.
I got some knowledge.
So I can think.
I can think.
This word knowledge in Greek is koinos. Which, which means acquired knowledge, learned behavior. Yes, there's some things we can learn, right?
Yes.
He said, but knowledge puffed up. Yes. But love edifies.
Yeah.
So you got to be careful with all the things we learn because you can start learning something, start thinking You better than you are.
Yes, right.
Just because what you learn.
Yeah.
I know some people who have acquired certain degrees, and they think just because they acquired that PhD, that doctorate, that MD, that DDS, that they have a right to look down on other people like they're God to all humans. But the Bible says knowledge puffs you up. So we got to be careful that we don't allow what we know to cause us to start moving in pride. Yes, because same thing, God can snap his fingers and you be dumb. Yeah, he can snap his fingers and you know nothing.
Yes.
So we ought to be grateful that God gives us the capacity, the ability to acquire knowledge. And not get puffed up about it, and thank God that he allows us, yes, to receive his knowledge. All right, go to 1 Corinthians 1:19. Let's go, let's go through the Bible this morning. It says, for it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring nothing to the understanding of the prudent. God says, with those that think they're better than everybody, God says, I will destroy that wisdom. Yes, I will blink my eyes and zap it. He said, I'll bring nothing out of it if you don't align that knowledge, that wisdom with me.
Amen.
Come to 1 Corinthians 2:2. The Bible says, for I determined, uh-oh, not to know anything. We, we know he don't want us not to know anything. Let's keep reading. Somebody would have stopped right there and start preaching, God wants you to be dumb. That's wrong. You got to read the whole verse. Come on. I'm just listening because your people don't read the whole Bible. Yeah, they don't read the whole verse. They'll take that out of context. Oh, God said we're supposed to be stupid. No, we gotta finish reading. He said, God, he's about— he said, for I am determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and him crucified. Paul is saying here, I'm not gonna assume— he's talking to the Corinthians. He's saying, I'm not going to assume anything about you Yes. Except it be revealed to me.
Yes.
Through Jesus Christ. So that's how we ought to be. We are not even be— we think we're right, but we might be wrong. We're sitting there thinking, looking at somebody thinking they're something, and we ain't even got a revelation.
Amen.
Of who they are. Amen. Watch this. Where there's no revelation There's always violation.
Amen.
If you— if I have not been revealed to you, you're gonna violate.
Amen.
I know my wife. Yes, I know her mood swings. Yes, I know how she's feeling when she comes home from work. I know. So I know now, because revelation, not to violate certain things because I know how she is.
Yes.
Amen. Y'all hear me?
Amen.
When you know somebody's moves, when you, you, when you get a revelation, you will not violate them. Amen.
Hallelujah.
Paul says, I'm not going to assume, but I'm going to just deal with you according to what God gives me to know.
Uh-huh.
What a way to live.
Amen.
That you only know what he knows. Amen. Guess what? He knows everything.
Yes, he does.
He trained the doctor. He trained the lawyers. Yeah, that, that knowledge that they learned in school didn't just come out of law books. Amen. The, the knowledge was inspired. Yes. Hallelujah.
Amen. Praise God.
I'll say it again. The knowledge was inspired. Yes.
Hallelujah.
Because God knew we needed these individuals, these entities in the earth. So to know what God knows— he knows everything about everything. Amen. I'm gonna say this. Apostle Jerry Howard, who was here doing Emergence, that's my friend. I've been friends with you 31 years. Okay, let me just give you an example of this. Apostle Howard is an IT person. He has his own IT business. He has these huge contracts with these companies, million-dollar contracts, where he goes in and does all the IT work, takes these teams in, do the IT work. Howard never— and he could testify this— never went to college, never was formally trained in IT, never read a book about IT. He told God, anoint my mind. Yeah, because this is a field I want to be in. Anoint my mind to do this work. Yeah. And now he's built an amazing business around what God knows.
Yes. Amen.
You can't tell me God don't know something about everything.
Yes, he does.
I never been formally trained on video editing.
Amen.
Never been trained on how to build a website.
Amen.
Y'all not talking to me here. Never been trained on graphic design.
Amen.
But I knew I needed it for ministry and business, so I said, God, anoint me to do this.
Yes.
Hallelujah. As a matter of fact, I took the model from him. I said, if you can do it for him, You can anoint my mind to do what I need to do too.
Amen.
And guess what? He did it.
Yes.
And I'm learning new stuff every day. My wife will tell you, we'll be sitting here watching TV, watching stuff on the news, we'll see graphics, we'll see commercials. I'll be sitting there tearing it apart, critiquing it, because I know the person that's working there did it wrong.
Yeah. Amen.
Y'all talk to me. Because, but guess what? I never read a book.
Yeah.
Never watched a YouTube video to learn it. Hallelujah! God anointed my mind. Okay, that's— maybe that's a bit much. So I want to know what you know, Jesus.
Yes, hallelujah!
Come on, say it. Say, Lord, teach me what you know.
Lord, teach me what you know.
Let me take you deeper. The Bible said, let this same mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! I don't want to think I'm right but be wrong. I want to be right when I'm thinking. And the only reason why I know I'm right is that I know what he knows. Yes, thank you, Jesus, because there's no wrong thoughts in him.
Amen.
Hallelujah, Jesus, always right. Go to Genesis 3:5. So when I think, I want to think the right thing.
Amen.
I don't want to think I'm right but really wrong.
Amen.
I want to think I'm right and be right.
Amen.
Hallelujah. The only reason I'm gonna— the way I'm gonna do that, I gotta know what he knows. Genesis 3:5, it says, for God doth know that in the day you eat thereof, uh-oh, your eyes shall be open and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Praise God.
This is the devil quoting the scripture to Eve. Yeah, in the Garden of Eden. Mhm. But guess what? He was right.
Yeah, he was.
God had already given a command that the enemy was listening in on.
Yeah.
Here's the thing, the temptation wasn't the fruit.
It was not.
And by the way, it wasn't the apple. We don't know what it was. The The Bible say it was fruit. Last time I checked, there are apples, oranges, bananas, pears, grapes. They all kind— it could have been anything. Let me show you how people don't read the Bible. Now everywhere you look, she bit of the apple. Okay, no, we don't know that. Yeah, we assume it was an apple, right? But you was wrong. Come on, people think they're right, and you, you Some of them argue now. Yeah. Now child, that was an apple. Oh no. Show it to me in scripture. No, it was an apple. I saw it in Sunday school. I saw it on the poster. Show it to me in the Bible.
In the word.
We don't know that. So the devil said he knows when you eat this fruit, mm-hmm, your eyes going to open. He tempted them not with the fruit.
Yeah.
The fruit wasn't the temptation.
No, it was not.
The temptation was knowledge.
Yes, God.
To know what you don't know.
Amen.
And they bought in. Let me tell you something, it's always tempting if you're not rooted in God to want something outside of him. Listen, let me tell you something, a Muslim can't tempt me to be a Muslim. Y'all ain't talking to me here because I know God for real. Yeah, man, it ain't no real— it ain't no religious experience. Come on, y'all.
He—
I'm saved because he saved me for real. Yeah, the only person that could keep me from living like I was living was God.
Amen. Hallelujah.
Y'all ain't got to say nothing. Hallelujah. So you can't tempt me to be a Muslim. You can't tempt me to believe— glory to God. That the Bible ain't real. Amen. I've seen the promises of God come alive too many times.
Yes, hallelujah.
But there are some people, because they don't have a real knowledge of God, yeah, they can be tempted to move outside of him.
God, yes.
Ah Lord, because they want their eyes open to something, you know. And you even got people that be looking at the Bible trying to make it fit. Yeah, they want their eyes open so bad that they'll make something up that the scripture says, and they do not say that.
Amen.
Oh, okay. All right, let's go. Next point. Say, I think I'm right.
I think I'm right.
And I am right.
And I am right.
Because I'm aligned with the mind of God. You ought to confess that every day. That you're right because you're in line with everything he knows. Amen. One of my prayers is, God, I want to be in line with everything you know about me and everything I know about you, and I want that to manifest in my life.
Yes. Hallelujah.
Let me tell you something. Somebody often would read the scripture of Joshua when he stopped the sun. Yes, he was in battle. He stopped the literal sun and got an extra hour in the day.
Amen.
So that they can win the battle. And the way he was able to do that, because he was perfectly aligned with what he knew God could do.
Amen.
He didn't waver in his thinking.
Amen.
When asking God for impossible things, that will be impossible to the natural faculties. Yes, it will be impossible for Joshua to stop the sun in his natural intellectual capacity. Yes, he had no science to do that, but because he was perfectly in line with the one that made the sun, he had knowledge of him. Yes. Are y'all hearing this? Let me move a little deeper, because many times discord happens when people are seeking revenge. Yes. I told you Thursday, discord is the opposite of accord.
Amen.
A lot of times, even in arguments and strife, you gotta trust God to be your vindicator.
Amen. Praise God.
Because so many times we want to get revenge.
Yes.
And again, I'm not teaching you something I do not know. I've been that person. If you say it to me, I'm gonna say it back to you. Amen.
Praise God.
Say something about my children, I'm gonna say something about your mom. That's just how it was. But that wasn't godly.
No, it wasn't.
And it was pride. It was insecurity.
That's right.
It was a lack of humility. It was ungodly, y'all.
Yeah.
But God said, you got to learn to trust me to take care of your battles. Here's how— let me give you this, then we're going to get in scripture. You can be already going to Isaiah 61. That's what I have a premise that helps me through this daily. Amen. And when I tell you it's tested often. The premise is this, and Lady Felicia has heard me say this a lot, that there is a space between stimulus and response.
Uh-huh.
And I had to learn that they're still retaliating and causing strife that will block my blessings. I had to learn that when something stimulates me— wow, where you say something out of the way to me, you do something out of the way to me— to not respond immediately. Yes, I had to learn to go to that space. Yeah, and talk to the Holy Ghost before I respond, so I responded correctly. Yes, so I responded the way God wants me to respond.
Amen.
Because I'm the kind of person in the past, if you push that button, I'ma find scripture to beat you down. You gotta talk to me here. Whatsoever you find your hands to do, do it with all your might. I'm talking about I will fight in a minute. Glory to God. Especially coming up as a teenager and a kid, because I had to fight to protect my space.
Yes.
And at the end of the day, that's not the way God wants us to handle things. That's strange. Yes. So you got to trust God to be your vindicator. Watch this. Why? Because God— hear me, y'all— he loves justice.
Yes, hallelujah!
God will vindicate his own.
Yes, he will.
I had a— I had this thing tested on Friday, actually. I am giving this testimony because I want you to understand that sometimes when you don't make it, you have to repent, get up, dust yourself off, apologize to who you snapped on, and keep it keep moving. Yeah, because sometimes the guilt of it will try to keep you stuck. But do you realize when you repent, God forgives you immediately?
Yes, he does.
It's a very mature thing to accept that forgiveness. Only people forgive slow. Yeah, but you really shouldn't care about people outside of your world, how they forgive.
That's right.
You should only care about how he releases you.
Yes.
The scripture says he cast it in the sea of forgetfulness, to remember it anymore. Amen. He never looks at your past.
Amen.
To determine your future. So this thing was tested. I was doing my morning meeting at the office, and one of the doctors that worked for me, she— and I've been overlooking this for a minute. So I'm having my meeting, you know, I'm like, okay. And every time I'm talking, she's always like Making faces, doing all this, and looking at the other doctors. But you know, doing all this, and I'm like, okay. And most of the meetings I'm focused, I'm not paying attention to her, and I just let it go because there's a space between stimulus and response. But oh, Friday. Friday was the tipping point. She over there doing her thing. 'Cause I'm talking about revenue, I'm talking about how good we did. Even in the midst of COVID our patients are coming back. The office is doing superb, and I'm so proud of everybody, all of my providers, all of the doctors, the whole staff. We need to keep this thing going, and before the year's out, we gonna finish real strong. We're gonna have a $200,000 a month in November, a $200,000 a month in December. I said, let's keep it going. And she, and then she just, well, it ain't about the money. We stretched out with all, she just kind of start talking. I was all right while she was just doing that. First of all, I'm talking. Yeah, this is my meeting. Yes, you want to speak, lift your hand. Yeah, or wait till I'm finished, right? That's rude. So I told her, I said, you're being rude, and all those facial expressions and your words are disrespectful. I said, I suggest you be quiet. And she kept on talking. And what'd she do that for? I said, look, I said, "Jazz, you hush your mouth." Oh my goodness. This little girl just got out of, I don't mean to disrespect her, but she just got out of dental school and I hired her straight out of dental school. She came to work for us and great lady, great dentist. She was going out and I looked at her. So she got up 'cause she just got tired of going back and forth, but I'm glad she left. And I said, it's best that you leave this meeting because you're being disrespectful. And if you can't be respectful, you don't need to be in here. Right. And she walked out and was mumbling stuff on the way out. And after the meeting, I dismissed the meeting, went into my office, and I sat there. And the Holy Spirit said, you know, you could have handled that different.
Yeah.
I said, but Lord, she was wrong. He said, but you should have been a bigger person. You should have let it go and dealt with her in private. So immediately I sent her email, apologize. And throughout the day I was trying to catch her so I can apologize personally because that thing was beating me up. But I should have let God handle it.
Are y'all hearing me?
I'm just being transparent with you. Glory to God. Isaiah 61:8, let's go. For I the Lord love judgment. So he loved justice, right? I hate robbery for burnt offering. Uh-oh, let's just deal with that a minute. God says, I hate for people to rob somebody else. Basically, in the Old Testament, they were robbing other people's turtle goats, doves, lambs. And taking them to the temple to sacrifice. They stole it and taken it to the— and God says, I hate that, because how you come to me to repent and you don't stole the sacrifice?
You bring it.
Yeah, amen. So God says, he said, I hate robbery for burnt offering. So in, in, in, in terms of today, he says, I I hate for you to think that you're really sacrificing something to me. Yes. And you're really not doing it. Oh, watch this. To put on a show for people. Yes. Like a lot of people in the church do. Yeah. They don't have a private relationship.
Amen.
So their public worship has to be an act. Grandma, y'all are talking, and that's really not what God wants. God would rather you not do nothing. Yeah, if you got to be phony.
Yeah, it ain't real.
Come on, man. He said, look, I don't want no sacrifice that you— I don't want tithes that you got in armed robbery. Uh-oh, watch this. Somebody say, well What if the dope man gave me a million dollars? I got a scripture for that one. The wealth of the wicked— laid up for the just. So we're going to pray on that million, glory to God. But in all essence, he gave it. I didn't go out and sell the drugs and pay tithes on it. Are you hearing me? Yeah. Then we're gonna take the million seed and pray for him and leave him with God, okay? But God says, I don't want you robbing and stealing to give to me.
Amen.
Some people in churches are under that kind of pressure. Oh yes, that leadership are pushing them to give so hard that they rob from even their own households to take care of the preacher and to take care of the house of God. And that ain't God. You shouldn't take away from— you shouldn't bring your bill money and give it all in the church, and then you struggling throughout the month to pay your bills. Amen.
Praise God.
You're not being a good steward. Now, there are seasons God will require you to sacrifice.
Amen.
And you got to know in faith when those times are, or corporately when God calls for that. Amen. But just every week browbeating people to bring all their money There was a church in Jackson, Mississippi, true story. The bishop had them living according to Acts chapter 4. They brought all their money, their whole check when they got paid. Every member, as soon as they got paid, would bring their check or have it direct deposited at the church. And the church distributed it as they needed. And because he didn't read the whole text Again, he took the scripture out of context. He didn't have a revelation physically. That's what was happening. They were really doing that then in Acts chapter 4, but they had to do it because people were stealing. Yeah. Wow. And Paul didn't have a whole bunch of people to manage it with. He had to do that to create community, but he didn't do that as a model for us to keep in the church. I don't want you to send your checks to me every week. I don't even want that responsibility, how to distribute your bills. I look at my bills and yours. No, that's a, that's a burden. No, you, you, you ought to have enough relationship with God where you responsible to bring him what's his. Okay, so you don't get justice by doing things that way. He says, I will direct that work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. God said he got you if you do it right.
Amen.
Go to Isaiah 62, next chapter over. I love it. So you gotta trust God to be your vindicator. He loves justice. Isaiah 61:2, it says, for Zion's sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest. So God said, we designed— we're his people. Yeah, Zion, the family of God, the city of God, the situation of God. We are his situation, we are his family, we are his children. Yes, he's Yahweh, he's the Father of all. Yes, and he says, because of you, I ain't gonna hold my peace. If somebody does something to you, he said, if you hold your peace, I'm gonna take care Yeah, he says, and for Jerusalem's sake, I will not rest. In other words, for my people again, I ain't gonna sleep until I take care of this one. But you got to trust me to vindicate. Are y'all hearing me?
Yes.
He said, I will not rest until righteousness thereof go forth as brightness. He's not gonna rest until the situation is made right and I get the glory out of it. Because a lot of times we'll handle it and God gets no glory.
Amen.
See, that situation with the doctor, if I would have handled it different, God could have brought some peace and did something a different way and got glory out of it.
Amen.
Now I got to go back and damage control this.
Yes.
And make sure she feels my compassion, that I truly repented.
Yes.
For what I've done. Even though it wasn't personal, I felt like she attacked me.
Amen.
And from the rest of my team. But I had no right to retaliate as a man of God, do I? Yes.
Amen.
Are you hearing me? Amen. No one should— even though I wasn't yelling, because that apostolic nature is in me wherever I am, so I was very aggressive. Yeah, I was very stern, but it never should be able to be misinterpreted. Head as yelling. Yes. And that's what some people did. Are y'all hearing me? Okay, so, so, so, Apostle, you need to calm down. Just, we're praying. Jesus. He said, brightness and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. And the Gentiles— oh, this is what we want. See, when we move in peace and not discord, the Gentiles, those that are not saved, they see our righteousness. Hallelujah! And all the kings— and God knows in this hour we need the kings, we need the government, we need the senators, we need Congress, we need mayors to see the glory on the church.
Amen!
But if the church is at discord, if the church is fighting, if the church is arguing, there's no way we can get the attention of a government that needs our power, that needs our ability to hear from heaven. That's why we got to come together on one accord so that the president will pick up the phone and say, I need to speak to the prophet. That he will find the apostle, he will find someone that can hear from God and say, tell me what God is saying, because I see the glory coming from you. We need to be so powerful and at peace so the glory and the brightness of God can flow through us, so that when government officials look at the church, say, we've been trying to figure out coronavirus, but there you are gathering, having church, and there are no new cases in your church. People are coming with it and getting healed. What are you doing? Give us this secret so we can give it to the world. Good God. Amen. I'm preaching better than y'all saying amen. Good God Almighty. Glory. We need to let the glory, we need to let the brightness shine.
Yes. Hallelujah.
He says, and all the kings, your glory.
Yes.
Here we go. This is what we need, y'all. Yes. And thou shalt be called.
Yes. Hallelujah. My God.
By a new name.
Yes.
Good God Almighty. He says, oh yeah, what the church has been previously called. He said, in this season, I want to raise up a group of believers and I want to give you a new name.
Hallelujah!
I want people to look at the church and see power. Yeah, he said, I want people to look at the church and see dominion. Yeah, I want them to look to the church and see leadership. I don't want them to look to the church and see massive failures. And oh my God, and men falling from grace, not living what they preach. He said, but I want to give the church a new name. And in the world today, Catholicism, yes, has been what has represented the church in a lot of ways.
Yes.
And at the end of the day, that's not the Church of God. God says, I want my church to stand up, and I want people to see the name of Jehovah Jireh, the Lord, the provider, written all over the church. See, even, even though our name of our church is Rhoda Church, it— the, the premise ought to be Jesus.
Hallelujah!
The name of God. They shouldn't see an iconolistic icon, human being, a man, when they look at the church today. The church has become so iconolistic. Glory to the name of God. That when people look at the church, they see a man, they see a celebrity preacher. And guess what? We think that's right, and that's wrong, because God never designed the church to bring glory to a person. Oh God, we're just— hey, oh my God, we're just puppets.
Yes.
That God pulls our strings as leaders. Oh, glory to the name of God. We're just here doing what he says, and then ultimately we do it. We're being used by him. Yes, y'all, y'all, y'all understand that, right?
Hallelujah.
Folks get mad if somebody using them.
Yes, God.
But the only person you should not get mad at that's using you is God. Is God. Use me, God. I have no life but you give it to me. I have no plans except you make them. Amen. I have nothing except you give it to me.
Yes, God.
Just, just run back to the old preacher and say, use me, God. Use me, God. That's what you want to have. Yes.
Hallelujah.
He says, which the mouth of the Lord— yes, shall name.
Hallelujah!
God should be able to look at churches as embassies full of ambassadors. And when he looks at the earth, the kingdom centers— oh my God— that he has established, the kingdom hubs that he's established in the earth, he said, oh, that's my leadership hub. If you want good leadership, you need to go there and hear about leadership. That's my healing hub. If If you want healing, go to that embassy. If you want deliverance, go to that embassy. God should be able to name— yes— what's happening according to the grace that's in the house.
Amen.
But you know what people do? They set up a church and they try to model it after the most popular thing and do what everybody else is doing so they can get the numbers.
Yeah.
But I want the mouth of the Lord—
amen—
to name what we're doing.
Amen.
Praise God. Hallelujah. That's why we got to stay sensitive to him. Yes. One more scripture, guys. Go to 1 Peter 2, and I'm done. Say, I think I'm right.
I think I'm right.
And I am right.
And I am right.
Because I'm listening to God.
Because I'm listening to God.
1 Peter 2:22. I'm going read through 24 really quickly. The Bible says, who did no sin Neither was guile found in his mouth. Talking about Jesus, this is how you react to offense. But when he was revealed, he rebelled not again. My, my, they came against him in a strong way. Oh yes, they offended him, they spit on him, they beat him with many stripes. They talked about him, they rejected him, they despised him. But when he was offended, yeah, he didn't bring offense back. How is it that we have him in us?
Yes.
And every time we're offended, we come back.
Oh yes.
Help us, Father. When he suffered, he didn't threaten them. Amen. He didn't say, oh, I'm God, y'all can beat me now, but when I get up, I'm gonna kill all y'all. That's not what he said. Matter of fact, he thought just the opposite. When I get up, I'm gonna save all y'all.
Yeah.
When I get up, you can come and be with me.
Yes.
Even though you're causing this against me.
Yes, that's right.
He committed himself to him that judges righteous. Amen. Christ was our example.
Yes.
None of us in this room have been severely beaten.
Hallelujah.
Maybe somebody spit on you before. Somebody spit on me. I didn't do like Jesus when that happened. I'm just sorry. But at the end of the day, I don't know if I would do that now. I'm just gonna be honest with you. Uh, I would work on it. I go to space. I just think my flesh probably at that moment, if somebody that bold to spit on me, I don't know about the other cheek on that one. But Jesus, he turned it.
Yeah.
Are y'all hearing me?
Yeah.
He turned that other cheek and he didn't threaten them. He committed himself to God who would vindicate for him.
Yes.
Well, he who his own self— watch this— bear our sins. Yes, he does, in his own body on the tree. Wait a minute, that was offense in itself. Yes, every sin of the past, present, and future of every human being that would ever come to this planet, Jesus became the sacrificial lamb.
Yes, he did.
Through his efficacious, vicarious, and substitutionary work of Calvary, he laid down his life and said, I'm going to take a substitute for you.
Yes, hallelujah!
That we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes we're healed. That's powerful there. God says, I done took it all.
Yes, Lord.
I took your sickness.
Yes, Lord.
I took your disease.
Yes, God.
So I'm sure there was a stripe on his back for coronavirus. Yeah.
Amen.
I'm sure there was one for cancer. We just got to believe.
Yes. Hallelujah.
That he took it all and walked under the covering of this. Now watch this, and I'm closing with this. I'm gonna close my iPad. The church has painted this picture. Yahweh, Yahweh, Yahweh, Yahweh. The church has painted this picture. Listen. That God is this angry God that's sitting in heaven waiting to judge the world and kill everybody and throw everybody in hell. That's not his nature. My wife and I was having a very deep conversation last week, and we were sitting in the recliners in the family room. And we were talking, and we were talking about God's judgment. Yes. Let me tell you something, God is so just.
Yes, he is.
He's so merciful. Yes.
Hallelujah.
That he reigns on the just as well as the unjust.
He does.
Everybody has an opportunity.
Yes, they do.
To speak to him, to get their stuff together. Yes, he's like— the church painted this picture that— I mean, so much so, when I was growing up as a teenager, they were preaching hell. If you listen to the wrong music, you were going to hell. Don't you dare listen to a rap song, you're going straight to hell. Don't you dare, woman, wear some pants, you're going to hell. Yeah, and I just couldn't imagine the God that loved me so much throwing someone in hell for a necktie, for pants, for makeup, for earrings, for music, for dancing. Oh, then they use the scripture, you being— you're in the world but not of the world. Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing. How is basketball God sent me to hell. Wow. God says, no, I'm a righteous God. Yeah, I took all the sins of the world. All I need you to do is repent. Yeah, I took care of the sin.
Yes. Hallelujah.
He's that gracious.
Hallelujah.
And we were talking about how legalism made us so afraid. This is why we lived holy. Yeah, we lived right, but we was scared. I'm up in a— couldn't dance, didn't have no rhythm anyway. So I'm up in a 9th grade dance, you know, music going. I'm like, Jesus, please don't come. Jesus, please don't come. Let me, let me just enjoy this stand tonight. You shouldn't have to live like that. No, no, that's not the fear that the Lord wants us to have. Amen. There's no way the Lord was going to come back, and if he would have came back, I done gave my heart to God. He won't throw me to hell for being in there just doing this. Said, man, you was in your dance with no rhythm anyway.
Amen.
You need to go to heaven. You can't You will not fit in in hell. Lord, let me bring you up here quickly. Glory to God.
Have mercy.
I just want you to be clear. I'm sorry, excuse my father, but it's the truth. Yeah, we should live right.
Yes, hallelujah.
Because of the righteousness he's already performed.
Amen.
We should say, oh God, I love you because what you did for me. When we get a revelation that he cared, it makes me want to do what's right.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
