A few weeks ago I actually started teaching something, uh, and it just was in my heart today to come back to it, uh, entitled When God Wins. So this would be really another installment of that. So many people are impatient when it comes down to waiting on God. And, uh, you know, we gotta work on that. You know, when— if he ain't showing up when you think he ought to, that don't mean you just can do things the way you want to do them. So I, I really want to, uh, encourage you, uh, to trust the Lord with your entire life. Let him have every single thing. Uh, yeah, again, you guys come in, do me a favor, please, by all means, I need you to share this whether you're watching live or by replay. Praise God, today is Saturday and it is December 12th. Praise God, 2020. 2020 is almost over, so let's get into this. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, we thank you and we give you the glory, we give you the honor, we give you the praise. We thank you for another opportunity to teach and to share your word. Dear God, I pray in the name of Jesus that this word will go out with authority and power. That it would go out in such a way that the weak would leave saying, 'I'm strong.' The poor will leave saying, 'I'm rich.' The discouraged encouraged. Doubters with faith. And I pray more than anything that it will plant a seed of patience and trust in you, God, for the things that pertain to our life. And we give you praise and glory. We know you know best, and you are in complete control, and we bless you for that now, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Hallelujah. God bless your hearts. We're going to go ahead and get started. Praise God. I'm going to share with this again. If you're here, do me a favor, whether live or by replay, I want you to share this, be a blessing to someone else. Also, you know, if you like it, press the like button. Praise God. That'll be a great, uh, pleasure to us, and it encourages us continually share what thus saith the Lord. Well, I'm going to get into this, and, um, again, today I am discussing a subject entitled His Way or Your Way, or flip it around, Your Way or His Way. So many people, uh, again, want to do things their own way, in their own strength, and their own power, when the Bible clearly told us to lean not— hear me— to our own understanding. Matter of fact, let's look at that in Proverbs 3. I'm gonna pull it up here so that we can look at it, verses 5 through 8. Praise God. And, uh, I want to just really— we've read this scripture a thousand times, most believers have, or they've heard it quoted a million times, but I want to share with you in a way that I believe, uh, would be a blessing to you. Father, we just thank you for your anointing right now. Hallelujah. Because again, when you learn to submit to him— well, let me just read it, you're going to see it in the text. Proverbs 3:5-8. The Bible said, trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding. It says, in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path. Verse 7, be wise, not in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your navel and marrow to your bones. Now, what is this? What is the wise man saying here? He's saying with us basically that trusting God— hear me— it really releases his help. So if you just learn to put your— not your physical heart, the one that's 6 inches below the collarbone, but the center of your appetites, your passions, your desires, even that proclivity to lean on yourself to get things done— the Bible says here that you should trust the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding. So this says to me, glory to God, that you will receive help. It releases the help from heaven when you trust God. And it also says that if you don't, if you wise in your own eyes and don't depart from evil, it's saying that you get the fruit of pride. And here's what I want you to be very clear of today, guys. God only helps the humble. I'm gonna say that one more time. God only helps the humble. Glory. I'm not gonna be long. I just sound like it. I'm gonna drop this really quickly, guys. So you gotta understand that you put yourself in a bad position when you inherit pride because you choose to trust your way over his way. I'm gonna say it again. Your way or his way. Your way or his way. And when you trust your way, that's a type of arrogance that say, hey God, I got this, I don't need you. I don't even— you're saying to God, I'm not gonna— especially when you don't pray, and then when you don't have corresponding action to your praying in faith by doing the things that you know God's able to provide for you, you create all kind of problems, ladies and gentlemen. So I want to share with you how important it is, okay, to really trust God. Let's look at 1 Peter 5. Let's go there. 1 Peter 5. I'm gonna run through these. I'll tell you, I'm, I'm not gonna be long, but I want to give this to you because it was in my heart and I, I just had to jump in here now and share it with you. 1 Peter 5 and verse 5, it says, he opposes, he frustrates— oh my God, watch this— he, he defeats the proud but gives grace, favor, and blessing to the humble. Let me read it in the King James. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. So God opposes, he frustrates, he pushes away the proud, but he gives grace— charis in Greek, which is favor or blessing— to those who humble themselves. And you see, so you don't have to be haughty and, you know, just brazen with pride But do you realize when you know to trust God and don't, you panic, you freak out over things that you should be trusting God in? You're just as bad as that haughty person because that's pride. You're saying, God, I don't need you. And the devil is a liar. You do need him. Let's look at Proverbs 16, verse 9. I'm running through these as the Holy Spirit has given them to me, and I'm gonna give them to you. Proverbs 16, verse 9. And if you're watching this live or by replay, put these texts on this on the, on the screen. Type them in the comments. The Bible says in Proverbs 16, verse 9, a man's heart devises his way, but the Lord directs his steps. So listen, this is one of the reasons why we experience so many struggles in our life, because, oh my God, we do not allow the Lord to really direct our steps. We plan our own way and we plan it out and we do it our way. And then what tends to happen, hallelujah, we have stress, we have pressure that's unembodied because we're trying to go one way. Hear this, and I'll be through, and God is going another way. So whatever you do as you plan to finish this year strong, ladies and gentlemen, make up in your mind that you're never going to be going in the opposite direction of God, but you're going to always be moving moving in the same direction that he's moving in. See, and again, this is why we have so many pressure points and situations that we have to struggle through, because we're fighting against the one that really can help us do everything we need to do, but we want to do it our way, and you cannot do it your way. So I want to challenge every person listen to me, make up your mind as we get ready to close this year out, and that's you finish this year strong. Make up in your mind you're not going to be in a struggle or tug of war with God and try to do everything your own way. Let's do it his way. And I promise you, if you do it his way, your reward is going to be great. Because guess what? God's plan is beyond your and my limited thinking. His ways are so much bigger. The Bible said his thoughts are not our thoughts. Of course, Isaiah 55:8-9, his ways are not our ways. So we gotta tap into how he's thinking and follow after him. Watch this, he has no limits when we're in his will. There is nothing you cannot accomplish when you are in his will. I just wanted to share that with you. So stop fighting, get the struggle outta your life and stop fighting with God. I used to hear old Mother say when I was growing up in the church, your arms are too short to box with God. So stop doing it, stop doing it for popularity, stop doing it to be seen, Stop trying to run ahead of God's timing. Just settle down and trust the Lord in all your ways. Acknowledge him. Acknowledge— two words. Ack, which means to open up. Knowledge, to receive, to become acquiescent, become one with what God is thinking. I love y'all. Y'all be blessed. Heaven smile upon you is my prayer. Peace.
