SHEEP PART 5: HE RESTORES ME | DR MIKE WOODS | 09.26.21 | RADAH CHURCH #radahchurch #drmikewoods

Dr. Mike Woods teaches on the Hebrew word shub, meaning restoration, using the Israelites at Marah to show how God uses desperate situations to bring revelation. True restoration of the soul requires applying what you learn, not just receiving it, and positioning yourself as a sheep under God's complete ownership.

Well, grace and peace be multiplied to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Welcome to today's edition of The Apostle's Table. My name is Apostle Mike Woods and I'm so glad to greet you today and moreover to be able to share the word of the Lord with you. And I'm gonna ask you just like I'm sharing today. I want you to share this word with someone else. The Bible says we are blessed to be a blessing. So if this word blesses you as you listen, as you hear, as you receive, I really need you to share it with someone else. There's so many people who are online. My wife and I was having a conversation earlier today about how many people online, how many people teaching, tagging people, all this stuff. And at the end of the day, everybody really has a motive to be seen. They want their message heard. And the reality is, you know, it's, it's fair. But I want to say this to you. Everybody that's in front of a camera, in front of a phone, is not necessarily saying what thus saith the Lord. Most people are looking for a stage. They're looking for popularity. Listen, I've been there, done all of that. I have been preaching for 32 years full time. I've been preaching for 35 years total. And at the end of the day, I'm not looking for a platform. I'm not looking for a stage. That's not important to me. But what is important is disseminating the word of the living God. And I'm telling you, this word today is going to be an absolute blessing to us and for us. Let's pray, because I want to go ahead and jump right into this today. I trust that you're doing well. I trust that you're moving in the productivity and in the things of God, and you're being effective in your walk with him. Glory to God. Hallelujah. And you're deliberately trying to fulfill purpose, man. Let's go into this. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, I bless you today, and I thank you for another opportunity to teach, to preach, to share your word with these, your people. I pray, God, that even as we put this word in the atmosphere, the words we speak will be spirit and they will be life. Even as we speak, God, we thank you that the spiritual part, the spiritual dimension of every person here, and all of us have a spiritual dimension, for we're trichotomies. We're body, we're soul, we're spirit. So I pray, God, as we speak today, the spirit will be awakened and there will be a connection connection made with who you are. And God, in the name of Jesus, that you will become real to someone that will open their heart to receive. And Father, I thank you that this word will be life. Hallelujah. God, I thank you that as we speak, finances that are dead will have life. Sicknesses will back up. Glory to the name of God. Death will back up in the name of Jesus. The death toll in America and our world will back up because we speak your word, and we praise you for that now. And Father, as we share today, you said in your word, you sent your word and it healed them. So God, I'm thanking you specifically, God, that those that are listening that may have COVID-19 in their body, sick, glory to God, I decree and declare as we teach the word that with your stripes they will be healed, that the healing and deliverance that is the children's bread would manifest itself for every person sick. And I give you praise for it now. Father, I thank you that we have the victory even now, Lord. And Father, even as we teach your word, let us experience the light, the illumination, and the intelligence of the Holy Ghost, and we'll forever give you praise. Praise, and all the glory and honor shall be thine. In Jesus' name, amen. And thanks be to God. Hallelujah! Oh my God, I am so happy and excited about the things of God. Listen, man, if you ain't living for Jesus, I'm gonna tell you right now, you're really not living. The Bible says he came that you might have life, and that you might have have more abundantly. Hallelujah! So I'm telling you right now, if you're not living for the Lord, you're missing something. I don't know. So I ask people all the time, you know, they say they're saved, but I'm— and I'm like, okay, if you're really saved, where's the fruit? Where's the abundance? Where's the joy? Where's the love that goes along with this walk? I mean, it's so amazing. And then I've had people ask me, are you born again? You're saved? I'm like, over the, over years, and I would say, yeah, you ain't— what's wrong with you? Because this is the thing to do. Glory to God, this is the life. I wouldn't take it no other way. The Bible says, glory to the name of God, hallelujah, that the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do you realize he's the only consistent thing in this world that we can take for granted and really depend on? Because he never changes. His Bible, his word, stands true even today. Listen, yes Lord, let's plunge into the heart of this message today. We are, yes we are, hallelujah, continuing on our series— continuing, I'm sorry, in our series entitled Sheep. And you know, I've already released 4 messages that I believe have been life-changing. I've been getting inboxes, I get texts from people who say, hey, Doc, that word is blessing me because it's simple, but it's reminding me of what I need to do as a follower. And, and, you know, leaders are reaching out to me saying, hey, I appreciate this reminder because so many times we take the position of leadership And we forget that we need to be sheep. We need to be following God, his plan, and we need to be connected in a way that we have accountability in the earth, that we're following someone else that God has appointed us to follow as well. So it's been a great, uh, series, and I'm super excited to continue it today. Uh, we started, uh, in part 1, we talked about the Lord is my shepherd, and we dealt with the Lord our shepherd, and we talked about how to really to really assess the relationship with the shepherd that is absolutely real. There's nothing about this that's, uh, archaic or just some, uh, old made-up stories or a book that's not alive. No, God is real. Again, I've been, I've been preaching, I've been preaching, my God, for 35 years. I've been saved for— since I was 14. I'm 52 now. My God. So I've been saved for what? Oh my God, I've been saved for what, uh, 38 years? Yeah, I had to get my math together in my head. I'm getting older. Glory to God. 38, 35, 32 full-time, 35 total preaching, uh, 38 years born again. Now I need you to understand something. If this wasn't real, hear me, I wouldn't be saved. I'm telling you right now, if this wasn't the life like I was just talking about, I wouldn't be in it. I serve God not out of religious obligation, not because my daddy was a preacher or is a preacher and a pastor and a prophet. That's not why I serve God. My mama is a preacher. Glory to God, both of my mamas preachers. Glory to God, my stepmom and my mom, my blood mom, both preachers. My brother's a preacher. My granddaddy was a deacon. I don't serve God because of a family lineage. I serve God, hear me, because God is real. And I don't know that just because of what I read or what I heard in the church. I know that because I've had encounters over the— oh, shee-ah-nan-see, bris-ka-ta-da-bah, ooh, re-ban-see. I've had encounters over the last 38 years that have proved he's real. If I never read the Bible again, I know he's real. Because he's proved it to me through relationship. Oh my God, I love him. And because I chose early on to be a sheep. Now, in that process of 30 years, there are some times I have missed it big time. I've fallen. I made mistakes, but I've learned from those mistakes. Hallelujah. The value of being good sheep and how the Good Shepherd responds to me in real relationship when I am positioned properly as a sheep. So we talked about that in message 1. You got to go back and watch message 1. And if you listen to the podcast, go back and watch— listen to episode 1 of this series because you need to understand what it means to be a sheep so you can have that relationship that produces the benefits that we're discussing in this series. So that was part 1. In part 2, we talked about he removes lack. The shepherd removes lack. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Glory to God. If you're truly a sheep, I'm telling you right now, the word is true. Again, this ain't what I read. This is what I know. This is what I experience in my day-to-day life. Can I tell you something? I don't lack a thing. I don't have a care. Glory to God. Hesia briska tabande. And there have been days where I have, but it wasn't— the onus wasn't on God. The onus was on me because I wasn't positioned properly. Oh my God, for his providential hand to be stretched in my life as a shepherd. So you can't have a shepherd if you're not sheep. Sheep follow. Sheep empty themselves of themselves for the good of the shepherd and the good of themselves. So I don't lack a thing because I'm a sheep. Glory to God. And if you decide that you really want to be a sheep, you will not lack. You won't lack good health. You won't lack wealth. You won't lack good, healthy family relationships. Oh my God, you, you experience lack and you come up short in purpose and assignment because you're not a sheep. You try to do everything yourself. You take matters into your own hand. So we talked about that. When the shepherd removes lack, that was message 2. He removes that lack. Go back and listen to it. Message 3, we talked about how he provides rest. He provides rest. And hallelujah! Oh my, glory to the name of God! He provides peace of mind and serenity. If we're sheep, God makes sure that we rest in him, his will, his ways, plan. I'm not going to teach that again. Go listen to it. Then in Message— I'm just reviewing so I can get into today— then Message 4, we talked about how he leads us beside still waters, stability. He puts stayability in our life. He— oh my God— he puts an ability to endure, an ability to endure processes that qualify us for the next place. Glory to the name of God. Most of you have not advanced and really been promoted because you abandoned the process, took matters in your own hands and started doing something— watch this— that you really were not qualified for because you didn't follow the shepherd's leading through a process that taught you stability. You don't have— watch this— still waters running through you. Oh, oh, oh, you got to have still waters running through you. So you have some stability, some stability in your assignment, in your purpose, in your— oh my God, in God's wealth plan for you and God's financial plan for you. You need stay ability. Lord, help us today. Help us today, oh God. Oh God, help us today to stay with you. So today, oh glory to God, we're talking about he restores— thank you, Lord— my soul. He restoreth my soul. Hallelujah. So let's jump in this, man. He restoreth The word restore, oh glory to God, is from a Hebrew word, glory to God, shub. And this word shub, glory to God, let me teach this today, hallelujah. 'Cause God wants to restore your soul. Just touch yourself and say, he restores me. And say specifically, he restores my soul. I'm gonna tell you what that means today, so stay with me. Don't scroll. He restores my soul. Whew! Good God Almighty. Let's deal with it. So, shub, or restoration, or to restore. It is the literal action, watch this, of returning something to its former owner, place, or condition. I'm gonna say that again. Shub in Hebrew means to return something to its rightful owner, to its rightful place, to its rightful condition. I'm gonna say it one more time. Shub, or restore, or restoration, means to return something or someone to its rightful owner, to its rightful place, or to its rightful condition. So let's deal with that. First of all, he, the shepherd, for those of us who are sheep, he says, okay, since you have emptied yourself of yourself and become a sheep. You become literally ignorant to your own will. You become dumb, dumbfied, stupefied to your own way of doing things. And you've decided that I am a good shepherd and that you're going to follow me as a sheep. What I'm going to do for you, the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to return you to your rightful owner. Oh my God, there are so many Christians who attend church regularly, who watch Facebook Live and YouTube and listen to podcasts regularly, who have not been returned to their rightful owner because, as I was saying in the beginning, they serve God out of religious obligation. Ah, God, there's so many speaking in tongues who— oh my God. And I'm not against speaking in tongues. I may speak in some before I leave. I don't know. Glory to God, because the Holy Spirit gives utterance. But at the end of the day, I believe in it. But what I'm saying is there are some who go through religious activities, who pray, who study the word, who have never been really returned. You saved, but have you allowed the Lord total ownership? Whoo! Of your life. Uh-uh, we're gonna talk of your soul. We're gonna get into that in a moment. Have you allowed him total ownership? The question now, have you submitted yourself as a sheep And have you said to God, you own everything about me? You own my money, you own my house, you own my family, you own my gift, you own everything about me. See, at the end of the day, if you don't— and watch this, I know we don't like this word, but you got to become a slave to him. Because he's a master. You got to become a bond servant. Oh, doulos in Greek is bond servant, which means you come— glory to the name of God— to the point where you say, God, shackle me up. I'm a sheep, and whatever you say, do. I'm going to do that. But you know what the challenge becomes, guys? A lot of people cannot do that Because hear me, they don't have a relationship with God. So, and they don't really understand how bad this dude is. He's God, man. He's God. G-O-D. God. There is none like him. The Bible says he's the— that's who the shepherd is. He's the God of gods. Yeah, he is the big G God over the little g gods. I don't deny that Sun Moon Lee is a god, but Sun Moon Lee is a little g god. I don't deny that Muhammad is a god, but Muhammad is a little g god. Y'all ain't got to help me. I don't deny, glory to the name of God, hallelujah, that Buddha is a god. But my God is the God, big G, of gods. Everything submits to him. He's omniscient, he's omnipresent. Glory to the name of God. He's omnipotent. The Bible refers to him as El Shaddai. I didn't say shed-eye, I said Shaddai. He's the breasted one, which means he has the ability to nourish and provide and take care of the entire planet he created. Hallelujah, he's El Elyon. He's the Lord God Almighty. See, you don't understand the magnitude. Those are just words until you're brought into, hallelujah, his Elohimness. Hallelujah, Elohim is the plurality of God, which means God has the ability to do and be anything he desires. He's Elohim. He— uh-huh. He rules everything. Whoa, listen, he's awesome. But you don't understand that until you enter into a sheep-shepherd relationship and you let him own you. You gotta drop everything and say, Lord, you own me. I'm gonna work where you say work. I'm gonna preach where you say. I was telling somebody the other day You know, and it was a righteous invitation. And matter of fact, it's someone I have preached for in the past. If I hadn't preached for them in about 10 years, actually. And they reached out to me and said, hey man, we've missed the ministry, the grace that you carry, and we want you to come and minister during XYZ conference. And I said Man, I just— I love you, but I just have to say no. And he said, why? I said, man, I'm in a season where I don't want to be where God was, but I want to be where God is. Not saying God is not in his house or going to be at his conference. What I am saying, I want him to be there for me. And if God is not leading me there, he's not there for me because I'm going on my own, because it's just another stage. Matter of fact, this conference boasts about 3,000, 4,000 people in attendance every year. I mean, when I first started preaching for this guy, his little conference was 30, 40 people, and he's grown it, which is excellent. Now you would think that I would be like overwhelmed with that and say, okay, yeah, let's jump on that, let's go. No, that's not where I am. I told him, I said, man, I just want to be where God is for me. I don't want to stand on no stage that God didn't tell me to preach on. I don't want to be in anybody's fellowship or connected in covenant with anyone that God did not tell me to connect with. I need you to grab this because at the end of the day, I'm a slave, I'm a sheep, I'm— he owns me. Because no matter what the— I'm not going to do a business deal with anyone that God doesn't want me to do business with because he owns me. Oh my God, just for the dollar. Because here's what I know, here's what I learned through encounters, that God can take care of me better than I could take care of myself on any day. So God says, I want to restore your soul, I want to restore you back to your rightful owner. And of course, if you get back to the rightful owner you'll end up in your rightful place. See, when you become a sheep, you don't call yourself to offices that you have not been called to. You know, I've witnessed something this past week that kind of grieved my spirit. Um, you know, I think a lot of times as apostles, we feel like if we make people apostles they'll be loyal to us. Well, first of all, I have affirmed several apostles who God told me to apostle— I mean, to affirm in the earth, because I can't call them or ordain them. God does that. We only affirm. And I'm not connected to them anymore. There's many I am, but there are many I'm not. So at the end of the day, We can't affirm people and put them in positions that they're not anointed for. So I witnessed something that kind of grieved my spirit, you know, and, uh, but it said to me something about the affirming apostle is that he really needs— and, and all— that's why I appreciate my friend Apostle Jerry Howard. We talk all the time about this, how apostles need training. An apostle has started a school for apostles, which is great. I think every apostle needs to join Apostle Jerry Howard School, because at the end of the day, this is education that apostolic people need. You can't teach you how to be an apostle, but we could teach you how to be an apostle. Are you hearing what I'm saying? God does the most teaching, but the Holy Spirit gives instruction through men. Are you hearing me? Who can teach you how to— so this particular guy, I'm getting off on something else. Listen, he, he has only been an apostle for a few years, and moving from the bishopric to the apostleship, I, I told my wife, I said, I sincerely discern the apostolic on his life. I said, and there is an assignment I have for him. And I said this, the reality is, is that iron sharpens iron. So the other thing is there's something I have to receive from him as well. But you, when you understand the iron sharpens iron principle, you can't be so arrogant to believe that you can't receive. Hallelujah. Because I observed something that grieved me. What grieved me was, was laying hands on guys who really are not apostolic and affirming them as apostles and giving them certificates. It's not my place to rebuke anybody, but to give— even if a couple of them are, which may be okay, they're not ready for it now. Because there's going to be some hits that they have to take that their prayer life has not matured nor seasoned them enough to handle when they show up. So for a season, they're going to be out of place, but they're going to be dealing with warfare that comes with that title that they're not going to be really equipped equipped to endure because prematurely put in a place that they're not ready to handle. So God says, I want to restore you to your, to your honor, to your rightful place. There are some people listening to me now, you've been saying you're an apostle for years, but you're not. When you're a sheep, you recognize this is really who I'm and you say, owner, put me in my right place. Okay, there's some of you that say you're prophets and you really at the most have the gift of prophecy, which does not make you a prophet. Oh, you have word of wisdom, which does not make you a prophet. You have a word of knowledge. These are gifts of the Spirit that any believer can have. You have discernment of spirits. But these things don't make you a prophet. And a prophet has all of those— prophecy, word of wisdom, word of knowledge, discerning of spirits, all four. And a real prophet, hallelujah, is so seasoned in those four that, oh my God, every time they move, something prophetic is manifesting out of them because they stand and live in the office Okay, I don't have time, but get it. He wants to restore you to your rightful place and your rightful condition. There are a lot of people who are living outside of kingdom conditions. See, if you change your position, you'll change your condition. Remember, shub in Hebrew means to restore or return something or someone to its rightful owner, rightful place, or rightful condition. So when you understand this, hear me. When you change your position and really become a sheep, you can't lead God. God has to lead you. I'm going to say that again. You can't lead God. God has to lead you. I'm going to say it one more time. You can't lead God. God has to lead you. So you got to take the position of a sheep and say, hey, I'm following you. I'm shackled. You're my owner. I'm gonna move in the places you want me to move in. And the Bible is clear, hallelujah, that he'll never leave you nor forsake you. He's committed to the process. So if you become a sheep, follow him and change your position, your conditions of kingdom living will always be present because you are a sheep following a king. Woo! The Bible says God is the king of the world. He's the king of the earth, the whole earth. So if you're following God and in relationship with him, Kingdom conditions are ever present in your life, which means you should never be broke. Come on, man. Come on, man. Because if you're broke and in poverty, you're living in conditions that are less than kingdom culture and kingdom conditions. Listen, if you're following the King and you're submitted to him— oh, somebody said, "Oh, the poor, you're ahead with your own ways." He's not talking about you, if you're she. He ain't talking about you. He talking about those that refuse to get out of their own way, to get out of God's way, let God become their master and king and follow him. Oh God, try it. I'm telling you, it works. I'm a witness. I'm a witness. I'm a witness. I'm a witness. It works. Change your position. Position, you change your condition. He says, I want to restore you to your right condition. You should be living in health. You should be living in wealth and prosperity. People talking against that kind of teaching, but at the end of the day, it's kingdom culture. You should be living as an entrepreneur, as an owner, as one that employs others. That one, or even if you're employed, you should be at least supervising others, managing others. Come on, man, you should be the head and not the tail. So when, when you follow as a sheep, these conditions also follow you. So he says he restores, shoes He restores, returns back to the original owner, place, condition. My soul. Hello, here we go, here we go, here we go. He restores my soul. Are y'all here? The Hebrew word for soul here is nephesh. N-E-P-H-E-S-H is how you pronounce it. Bish. So he restores my life, my appetites, my desires, my intelligence. People have defined soul as mind, will, emotion. That's a very simple definition, but it works. But simple because it's really— there's some depth that goes to your mind, there's some depth that goes to your will and your emotion, and it's found in your entire life. So you're a living being. Your desires, your intellect, even your 5 senses is in your soul. Your ability to see, your ability to taste, your ability to hear, your ability to speak, your ability to touch and feel. All of these things are in your soul. It's called psuche life in Greek. Psuche is where we get words like psychological. Anything that plays out in your body plays out in your soul first, in your nephesh. Hallelujah. Glory to God. It's— he restores all of who you are. Basically what he's saying, he wants to restore all of who you are back to his rightful owner. Its rightful place and its rightful— your emotions should be intact because you walk with God. Your thought process, your intellect, your desire, your ability to be an innovator, your appetites should be controlled— hear me— by God. Lord, help. Lord, help. So how do I get this restoration? How do I tap in? That— what do I need to do as a sheep? What should be my activity, my action? Well, let's go to Exodus 15. I want to show you really quick. Exodus 15. Hallelujah. Exodus 15. Exodus 15. And let's look at verse 22. Hallelujah! Stay with me, I'm almost done. Exodus 15:22, the Bible says, so Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur, and they went 3 days in the wilderness and found no water. So the first step to your soul being restored— your mind, your will, your emotions, hallelujah— meets your appetites, your passions, your desires, your 5 senses, your psychology, your innovation. It has to go through— watch this— a season of situations with God. Situations, situations. You cannot be fully restored without situations, stuff that comes up that challenges you to react in your flesh or to trust God. Safe situations. So here in Exodus 22, Moses, who is an apostolic type in the Old Testament— don't have time to teach about Moses, but just trust me on it right now. I'll teach it another time. He's an apostolic type in the Old Testament, and he brings the children of Israel to a point in their journey where they have now seen a miracle. They had a situation in front of the Red Sea. First body of water we're going to talk about. Now they're in front of the Red Sea, can't get across situation. Pharaoh's army is behind them. The children of Israel, because they don't understand apostolic situations and apostolic processes— glory to God— and kingdom situations that set you up for a manifestation from God— watch this— they start complaining. They're in the wilderness of Shur. They got 3 days, no water, coming across the Red Sea. God is just giving them great deliverance. In the first verse of this chapter, they're rejoicing, they're praising God. They had church after they got over that Red Sea, man. But then they went right into wilderness. God brought them out of one thing, dropped them in another situation because he's trying to teach them how to be sheep. If you study the Israelites, they were the worst sheep in the world. And guess what it cost them? Because they were unwilling to allow God to have ownership, it took them 40 years to get into the promised land when it should have took them 12 days on foot according to the topography. What a shame. They wasn't good sheep. So not being good sheep created delays and it caused them to have a myriad of situations that God set up to restore their soul, to restore ownership, to restore their mind. To get the Pharaoh mentality out of their mind so that they will serve him and follow him wholly. Woo! Lord have mercy, Jesus. Lord have mercy, Jesus. Are y'all getting this? God, I wish you getting this revelation. Some of you had it hard and you had situation after situation because you just refuse to obey. You refuse to become a good sheep, and you see all this craziness on the internet telling you you can do what you want to do and, and God is okay with it. Listen, he's still going to love you, but you're going to miss the benefits that are born out of purity, the benefits that are born out of good service to God. Lord have mercy. Oh, have mercy, Lord, have mercy, Jesus. They found no water, no life support. They were in a situation. Some of you listening to me right now, you're in a situation. I want to tell you, don't curse it. Don't curse your crisis. Don't curse your situation. Don't curse what you're going through. Don't curse what you're facing right now. God has you in it to win it, because he's trying to restore your soul. He's trying to show you, give you encounters. Listen, I've had so many situations. I told you in the beginning, I've been walking with God a while, and God has taken me through seasons of situations that produce those encounters that I talked about, because I wasn't the best sheep in the world to start out. And I'm telling you right now, listen to this wisdom: if you want to avoid hard situations. Don't be a transgressor, because the word says the way of a transgressor— the Bible says this— is hard. Many of you in hard situations because you're operating in transgression to the sheep-shepherd relationship. But if you get your life together and decide, my God, that you're going to be a sheep and follow God and not do it your way and and trust him, he'll prove to you that he's real. He'll prove to you that he's a good, good father, that he's a good, good shepherd. Hallelujah! Glory to God! I got to get out here, my time is almost gone. So you got to have situations. This is the process of restoration. Secondly, watch this: and when it came to Marah, they could not drink to The waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. So I wanna just give you a quick Bible study on that. Marah, mar is the root, which means bitterness or toxic. It was poison. They could not, the situation is getting worse. Marah, watch this, was a cesspool according to Bible history. They urinated and defecated in Marah. So of course when you get to this water, you don't wanna drink it. It looks nasty. It's bubbling, it's acidic. I want you to get a picture of it. It's got stuff floating around in it. It's bad. They can't drink it. They can't drink it. It's undrinkable. And many of you are in some situations now that are undrinkable. You're thirsty. And some of you still are trying to drink it because you want to— you think it's your way of surviving. Glory to God. But it's detestable, it's nasty, and it could possibly kill you. And you think the thing that— hallelujah— that you're gonna drink of is gonna give you life, but really it's gonna give you death. It's toxic. Watch this. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, what shall we drink? They looked at this and, man, this pee, urine. And defecation in this water of Marah. It's toxic, it's bitter. Somebody said, how do you know it's bitter? They must have tasted it. No, because again, the word mar means bitter. Watch this. And visually, because it was so toxic, they could tell. The aorist tense and the voice of the word deals with the idea They said it was bitter because it looked bitter. I mean, it looked like it was something they could not consume. So none of these million folk out here actually tasted this water. They visually saw it. Watch this. They wise not to drink it. And I'm telling you, just because you're thirsty, don't drink everything that is presented, because everything that can be good to you it's not good for you. I'm gonna say that again. If it— just because it's good to you doesn't mean it's good for you. I'm gonna say it one more time. Just because it's good to you doesn't mean it's good for you. Wow. Let me put it like this. There's a 40-year-old man that can be good to your 16-year-old daughter, but he ain't good for her. Everything that can be good to you ain't good for you. There's a man that makes $30,000 a month selling drugs that could be good to you, single lady, but he ain't good for you. Ah, everything that can be good to ain't good for. So be careful. Watch this. They are complaining to the apostolic leader, what are we going to drink? Apostolic leaders, let me say this to you as you listen to me. Can you answer this question when it is proposed to you by those those that follow you? In the midst of COVID-19, in the midst of fires in California and weird weather all over the place and hurricanes and poverty and people not wanting to work and an economic condition like we've never seen, can you answer the question when it's proposed, what shall we drink? Can you answer the situational questions that come up? Moses knew where his answer lied. See, when you're a sheep, you don't take on hard problems in your flesh. You talk to God first. So here's the next step in getting restored. Watch this. And he, Moses, cried unto the Lord. Tassak cried unto the Lord. So here, that's the first piece. Tsaak is a desperation that goes from the belly to God's ear. It's a cry of desperation that goes from the belly to God's ear. It bypasses the complaining, it bypasses the situation, and it focuses totally on crying out hold to the shepherd. If a wolf comes in the camp and grabs hold to a sheep, the cry that he lets out is a tsaak. It goes from his belly to the shepherd's ear so the shepherd can come out and ward off the wolf. When last time you desperately cried? To your Father. When a situation arises, stop looking at it through your eyes of flesh. Stop trying to— listen, run something God told you to do with your bank account, counting your money to pay church bills, counting your money to fund the ministry. Listen, at the end of the day, if God called you called you to it and you're a sheep and you're following him, he's going to keep the kingdom condition in place to take care of what you need. Hallelujah. To walk in his will and his way. My God, today. My God, today. Oh my God. Are we here? Come on. Ishkatarabaye. Brisketidi bi andolobo hoshyama. Know this, ladies and gentlemen, if you cry unto the Lord, he will hear your cry. But it's got to be a tsaak. It's got to come from a place of relationship. It's got to come from a place of knowing this is the shepherd that protects me. This is the shepherd that keeps me from the wolves, that delivers me from hard situations. So out of the situation, there was a desperation. Somebody type on the screen desperation. You got to become desperate for God to be your shepherd. You got to become desperate for the relationship with God to be real, and you got to cry out out to him in hard situations and watch him move. Glory to God. He can heal you of COVID Yes, he can. You got to cry out. Early on, COVID was in my body, or way back in 2020, early 2020. I had the crap. I cried to the Lord. I didn't flinch. I didn't miss a beat. The Lord healed my body. Glory to God. I know it was the Lord. I felt it when he healed me. I felt the virtue when it went through me. I know his healing power, but you gotta cry out to him. God can heal your diabetes. Witness, he can heal you of high blood pressure. I'm a witness, but you gotta cry out to God and trust the relationship. Listen, growing up, I thought my daddy could do anything. He was Superman to me. And listen, I believed that if I asked him for something, if I needed him to do something and I said it to him, he could do it. He ain't always do it. Even though he didn't do a lot of things I asked, I, and I think he was teaching me, especially after I became an adult, how to be a man. It— I believe he could have done money, because that's just how I believe about my natural daddy. What more am I going to believe about God? Come on, man. Situation go to desperation. Watch this. He cried to the Lord, verse 25, and the Lord showed him a tree. Wait a minute, the word tree there is yarah in Hebrew. It's a little small stick that was hidden in the area of Marah, just hanging over the water. Moses cries to the Lord and he opens his eyes, and the Lord showed him YHWH. YHWH. Hallelujah. He— wait a minute, YHWH also means that he casted or through it. It was like an action, or, or he said it right in front of his eyes. He couldn't see it before, but after he cried to the Lord, the Lord showed him a tree. He gave him a revelation out of the situation. There was a desperation that brought revelation. Revelation. Revelation, yarah in Hebrew, means that that God pulls back the curtain and casts something in front of you. It literally means to cast, like a movie has a cast, a television show has a cast. You cast people for a part. Ooh, ooh, oh my God, oh my God. So God cast this tree for a part and said, Moses, This is a part in your restoration. Hallelujah. In the children of Israel's encounter with my ability and what I'm able to do for them. Lord have mercy. Revelation. You need revelation. You need a picture. There's a Greek word for revelation. Photizo is what we get words like photograph or photography. It means to see something in advance before it manifests. See, you can't really have a photo or a picture without seeing it before you see it, because if you're taking a picture, whether digital or traditional, you got to see the subject, cast it, push the button. If you're taking a selfie, you got to see it before you see it. And you gotta push the button before you get the image on your screen. The reality is God saw your whole life before you saw it. He knows everything about you. Why wouldn't you follow this Shepherd? He created you and your life. He ordered your steps before you were born. So you need to see it before you see it, because if you don't see it before you see it, when it manifests or come forth, you will not recognize it. Ah! So you gotta see it before you see it because when it manifests, you won't recognize it. Listen, you gotta get it in view. You need a revelation. Following the Shepherd gives you revelation of your life. He restores your soul. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Gives you a revelation of the place and condition you're supposed to be living in. He says, wait a minute. He showed him a tree which when he had cast into the waters— Lord Jesus, he cast it in this whole thing. So watch this. Cast. Here we go. Shalak in Hebrew. Which means he threw it or hurled it into the water or cast it again, made it a part of the process into the water. In other words, he made application. So out of the situation, there had to be desperation to sock, a crying out to the Lord, a desperation toward the shepherd. That desperation produced a revelation from the shepherd on what to do, on how to react out of your soul. Come on. And not follow your flesh or your first mind or what everybody else is doing, but you react out of what the shepherd cast into the situation. And then you make application, because revelation without application is constipation. I'll say it again: revelation without application is constipation, which means now you're stuck in the situation, which many of you listening to me are. You're stuck, you're stuck, you're stuck, you're stuck, you're stuck, and seem like it's not changing. It's because you have not made application of the revelation the Father has given you. And if you don't have a revelation, it means you have not been operating from a place of desperation so that God can cast a solution, a revelation, in the midst of you so you can make application. Listen, if you work it, it will work. Now watch this. Moses worked work this thing. He took the revelation, this little tree, this little stick, put it in that same cesspool. Remember, this was a cesspool with urine, feces, and it had become toxic. It was bubbling. The Bible says— watch this supernatural manifestation. That when he made application and put it in the water, the waters were made— oh my God— sweet. Methok in Hebrew, which is the Hebrew word for sweet. Methok, which literally means they were made pleasing and able to take of. They were were made delightful. They were restored. They were returned to their original owner. Hallelujah! Which was God. When he created them, they were pure. They were returned to their original state, the original place. They weren't bubbling anymore. They were still waters. Because if you follow the shepherd, he leads you beside still waters. And they were turned their original condition, they were drinkable for nourishment and for survival, for life. It was restoration. You had to be there, I guess, to see it, to experience it. But I'm trying to paint the best picture I can. It was the same water. Now they were able to drink it and enjoy it. I'm telling you While I'm talking, I'm prophesying to somebody. The same situation that did you bad, the same— you went through a bad— the same life that you've been living, God's about to make it pleasing. He's about to make it sweet, baby. He's about to restore it and let the joy— hallelujah— of the Lord flow out of your life. All he's asking is that you take the position of a sheep. My time is gone. Let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for this word today. Thank you, Lord, for restoring our soul. Somebody under the sound of my voice needs their soul restored, their appetites, their passions. They've been driven by all the wrong things. They've been driven by what's popular. They've been driven by what their flesh says and what they feel is right, and not necessarily led by following you as a sheep and you being the Good Shepherd. So Father, restore the souls of those that hear this today and bring them into a new place. And we give you praise for it. In Jesus' name, amen, and thanks be to God. Listen, perhaps you're listening to this today by podcast, by YouTube, by Facebook, by Instagram, however you're listening. Listen, maybe you're not born again. Maybe you don't know Jesus and the free pardon of your sins. I want you to understand something: God wants to save you. All you simply have to do. The first step is repenting. The Bible said if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died and he rose again, the scripture declares you shall be saved. Can you pray this prayer with me? Say, Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sin. Say, Lord, I open my heart Heart, live in me, save me, in the name of Jesus.
