SUPERNATURAL RESTORATION | DR MIKE WOODS SR | JACKSON MS | 4 FEB 23

Dr. Mike Woods Sr argues that the supernatural is no longer optional for believers but essential for experiencing God's promises. He outlines three offices for a true church: Jesus as cornerstone, apostles with authority and supernatural revelation, and prophets who reveal God's future. Using the Marah episode from Exodus 15, he shows how desperation leads to revelation that produces tangible restoration.

Glory to God. I want to talk tonight— God told me to call this revival Supernatural Restoration, and that's what I want to call this message, Supernatural Restoration. This is This revival is about being restored. Say that with me. Say supernatural restoration. I want you to put your hand in Exodus chapter 15 and just stay there. We're gonna get there. That's what the text is, but I gotta lay a backdrop for this, and I gotta teach a little bit for the people that may not understand what the supernatural relieve this, because you cannot be supernaturally restored if you don't understand what it means to tap into this dimension. So the first thing I want you to recognize tonight is we are— we have come to a day and time— hear this— where the supernatural is no longer optional, but it's a necessity. If you're going to experience the things of God and what God promised you, you gotta tap into the realm of the supernatural. Let me share something with you. Religion is never going to lead you to the supernatural because religion never empowers. Religion always holds you back. Religion is self-serving. And religious people— watch this— the root of the word religion is 'rel.' It's actually an old Latin word that means 'I'm still searching or looking.' So religious people have not discovered who God is. They're actually still looking for God. So it has no ability to empower you because they're still looking for God. 3 things every church needs. Watch this. Every church, first of all, needs Jesus. I'm sorry, Ruby, I've been to some churches where Jesus wasn't there. I'm just telling you the truth. I've been to some places that the people were there, they were going through the motions, but Jesus wasn't there. I didn't know Jesus wasn't there. Because when Jesus shows up, people are transformed. When Jesus shows up, things change. There's fruit behind Jesus being present. If the last time I saw you 25 years ago, you've been going to the same church and ain't nothing changed in your life, I question whether Jesus is in that church. I told you I paid for this pulpit tonight. I don't care if you like what I'm saying or not. You, you got to understand something. I know you love it, and there's some people that are stuck in a place. My mama went to this church, my grandmother went to this church, my daddy went to this church. So they stay there but no Jesus, because Jesus changes things. The other thing you need in the church is apostles. Oh boy, religious people hate apostles because apostles carry government, apostles carry authority, apostles move in supernatural mysteries and revelation, apostles bring discipline and correction. The religious people hate that. So what they'll tell you, oh, ain't no more apostles. They'll tell you it's only 12 apostles. They lie. Ain't no apostles. And so you start believing that lie and you miss what you need, because every church needs an apostle. So every church— come on, say it once— every church needs Jesus. Say every church needs an apostle. Thirdly, every church needs a prophet or some prophets. Wait a minute, so you go to a church and ain't no Jesus, there's no apostle, and there's no prophet, you're in a false church. Someone said, Woods, give me some Bible on that. Okay, you asked. The Bible said the church, Ephesians 3, is built on the foundation of apostles and prophets, with Jesus being the chief cornerstone. That's all three right there in the word for you. So if you kick apostles out and kick the prophet out— because prophets have the ability to see what's coming. So God puts prophets in the church to see what's coming and to make adjustments to the climate in a region so the people can be blessed. The prophet is for the people so that the people can see what God sees. So religious entities hate that. So we need to tap into the supernatural. So that's why we need a prophet. 'Cause apostles and prophets are supernatural offices. We need to tap in. So let's talk about what the supernatural is. It's not just God's super on your natural, as I heard one teacher say, which is great. I mean, it sounds good, but it's more than that. To be supernatural means to be— to move beyond your genetic ability. To do something outside of your genetic makeup. Watch this consistently. Let me give an example. Superman could fly. That was beyond genetic ability, right? No other human in the Superman saga could do what he did. So when you move in the supernatural, you start being able to do things that other humans can't do. You have to tap into something more. Somebody say, there is more. Again, the supernatural is not an option if you want to see a manifestation of the things of God in this hour. So how do I get it? Michael, how do I get where you— what you're talking about? How do I manifest this force that's beyond my natural genetic makeup? I'm glad you asked. First key: you cannot tap the supernatural— write it down— if you do not have a renewed mind. Your mind has to be renewed. Religion is never going to teach you about having a renewed mind. It's going to teach you how to have good church, how to do business as usual, but never really renewing your mind to another level of thinking. Let's look at Romans 12:2 really quick. The Bible says this, it says, and be not conformed to this world. Let's stop right there. Conformed. Con— pros and cons. Pros are for, cons are against. So when you conform to the world, you go against the original form. God's original form for you is to be a spirit being. God's original form for you is to be a human being watch this— having a temporary human experience. Your experience on earth is temporal, amen. But you should often slip away into the spirit and align yourself with your original form. Most of us live every day conformed to the world. The word world in Greek is cosmos. So we, we come, we go against the original form and we blend in to the system of the world. God never called you to abide in this system. Let me, let me help you. It's abnormal for you to trust this system as a believer. As a citizen in the kingdom of God, it is abnormal for you to move in this system and trust what it tells you. You're going against your form. Listen, do you realize when God showed up in your life, he— the King came with all his stuff? He came with a whole kingdom, and there's a whole kingdom at your disposal. He came with his resources, he came with his healthcare system, he came with his power, he came with his authority. And we sit there and we start abiding in what the world The world says you ain't gonna make it because you're, you're Black, you were born in the wrong place, or you, or you grew up in the wrong family on the wrong side of the tracks. And they tell you that your circumstances dictate who you are. When the King shows up, he introduces you to your authentic form. Form. You got to stop conforming, going against that form. Watch this, your authentic form was presented to you before you were born. Come on now. Jeremiah 1:5 says, before I formed you, huh, before I formed you in the belly, The word 'formed' is yetseb in Hebrew. So he says, before I gave you chromosomes, a heart, a liver, eyes and ears, before I gave you a position in the system of the world, he said, I knew you, which means I gave you another form. The word 'knew' is yada, which means I was intimate with you. Ah, glory to the name of God! Which means I became close to you. I, I dropped something in you, in your DNA, that you would bring to the earth to carry out a kingdom assignment, that you could go against the form of the world and operate in who you really are. One of the biggest problems we have in the body of Christ is that we— oh my God! God, we define ourselves by others' opinions of us. That's right, that's right. And now more than ever, that's right, some of y'all went to bed last night worried about how many people liked your picture, amen, because you define yourself by what other people think about you. Come on, Prophet! Some of y'all can't even sit in here. Y'all, y'all struggling right now because you want to pick up that phone and scroll and see who's liking what you said. You are addicted to social media if the last thing you look at at night is Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and then the first thing you do when you open your eyes, you pick up your phone and check your Facebook. Because we define ourselves by others. God said he never called us to do that. Our definition, our true definitive value was created in the before. That's why you gotta stop running behind— listen— people trying to get a word or somebody to tell you who you are. What you need to do is spend some time in prayer. And renew your mind and let God talk to you about who he said you are before you ever got here. I dare you, shout, I am who God says I am! Come on, say it! Say, I am who God says I am! He has a phone. That exists before you. God, so he says, be not conformed to this world, but be ye— you get you— transformed. Ah, Lord. So he says, wait a minute, you in the world, you born in sin, shaped in iniquity, Shaping means you were cultured in iniquity. Iniquity means lawlessness. So you were groomed— watch this— without kingdom law, and you were taught a system that went against kingdom form because you were being cultivated in it. So that's all you know. So it's not your fault. Well, God says I need you to be transformed. I need you to go back to the form. Transform— metamorphoo in Greek, which is where we get words like metamorphosis, of course. So when that caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it's no longer caterpillar, it becomes something totally different. Butterfly don't even look like caterpillar. Why is it that some of us get saved and we still look like what we were before we called on Jesus, because we, we, we didn't get the form right. And I'm not talking about your outer appearance, I'm talking about in your heart. Because man looks at the outside, God looks at your heart. And when was the last time you took an introspective and checked out your heart? And checked out who you really are. You got to get transformed— watch this— by the renewing, or the— oh boy— the redoing of your mind. To renew means to redo. And once you redo your mind, you start seeing things— hear this— the way God sees them. Praise God. You start Man, when my mind got renewed and I started really seeing my life through the eyes of God, I started weeping because I realized, dude, you are so far off. That's right. You are so far away from who you really are. And guess what? I thought I was okay for a long time. But sometimes renewal comes through brokenness. I need you to understand it here tonight that God will bother you to make you better. He will step into your world and shake up everything to make you better. That's why I'm telling you, don't curse your crisis. The crisis showed up to renew you. I want you to understand something. God uses persecution to advance his cause. So when people start persecuting you, when the enemy comes against you, don't retreat. That's a good sign that you're on the right path, because the enemy understands that you are a threat to him. He understands that you are dangerous to him. I guess somebody said, Lord, renew my mind. Come on, say, renew my mind, renew my mind. I want to see it the way You see it. So in all types of supernatural, you got to have a renewed mind because now you see things the way— so now you can see your ability beyond your own natural ability. You can look at yourself and say, whoa, I can do that, I can conquer that, I can start that business, I can be a millionaire. Oh yeah, I can't be happily married. I can, oh my God, live in a life of total healing. What if I told you that it's God's will that you always be healed? Stop letting the religious demon tell you that, oh well, you're gonna get sick sometimes. The devil is a liar. Everything bad is under the curse. Sickness is under a curse. Poverty is under the curse. Are y'all hearing this? Apostle Michelle, we got to understand that God never called us to live under the curse. He called us, glory to God, to live under the blessing. When we got saved, now we live under the blessing. See, healing is under the blessing. Deliverance is under the blessing. Breakthrough is under the blessing. Riches and wealth is under the blessing. The greatest thing that could have ever happened to me is I found out that God don't want me to be broke. That God— because I was listening to religious people all my life. All the poor, you're hell with you always. You're gonna struggle sometimes. The devil is a liar. I have caught the revelation that God really, according to John 10:10, wants me to have life and have it more abundantly. And as a matter of fact, he— oh God— he wants me to enjoy my life. Sitting up here not enjoying life because religion telling you not to do it. You never take a vacation, you never do anything for yourself. The devil is a liar. I'm going enjoy every day God gives 'Cause I live under the blessing, and I'm gonna live without sickness and disease. I'm gonna live without pain. My wife was up here testifying. I just started speaking faith to her body, and I started changing her words and how she start talking. You gotta— even when you feel pain, you gotta say, 'I'm healed, glory to the name of God.' Even when you don't know how the healing is coming, you gotta speak the word. I'm in pain right now, but the Bible declares with distress I am healed. I want somebody to shout, I'm healed! Somebody's gonna get healed. I'm telling you, healing is in this room, but you gotta renew your mind. A renewed mind— hear me— lives from heaven to earth, not earth to heaven. Okay, Apostle, most saints have an escapism mentality, so they live with their bags packed, looking out the window, waiting for Jesus. Well, I got to get out of here. I can just escape this world. God never called you to run from this world. He called you to take over this world, and you live from heaven to earth, on earth as it is in heaven. So what you want to do is duplicate what's going on in heaven on earth. Can I let you in on a secret? You ain't got to die to go to heaven. Come on! I know the preacher at the last funeral told you that, but you ain't got to die to go to heaven. Are y'all listening to me? You can have heaven on earth. Ask me how I know. I have heaven on earth every single day. I get out of the bed and I go into the presence and I pull heaven to me. Because you know what? The only difference between heaven and earth— glory to God— is the Spirit of God. Come on, guess what? We got gold on earth, we got gold streets. They got pearls in heaven, they got rivers. And we got all that here. Come on, the difference is the Spirit of God. So, so if you institute the Spirit of God in your way of living, you'll have heaven on earth every day, because God is your heavenly supplier. Yeah, that's it. And you got to trust that he's ready to dish out what you need whenever you go to So you need a renewed— renewed mind to attach the supernatural to your life. The second thing you need— and then we'll get into the text. I'm not gonna be long, I just sound like it, I promise you. Listen, you cannot move in the supernatural without a childlike spirit. Arrogance will never get you into the realm of the supernatural. I am trying to teach about arrogance, but because I want to really help you understand what a childlike spirit is. But arrogance is the enemy to a childlike spirit. Arrogance leads to aloneness. Nobody wants to be around somebody that knows everything. Nobody that's unapproachable. There's some people arrogant for no reason. Ain't got no reason to be arrogant, but arrogant. Let me tell you something, that's not the will of God for you to be by yourself and not have people in your life, in your culture, to help you fulfill purpose. See, pride keeps you from assessing the supernatural So you can't fulfill purpose on earth because you need people to fulfill purpose. I don't care how gifted you are, how anointed you are, you need people. God bless you, Sister. It's the singing miracle. God bless you. Last time I saw you, she— I prayed for her and God restored my voice. You still single? I love you. Come on, good God. Hallelujah. Listen, arrogance leads to aloneness. That's why some of y'all single. I didn't say all of y'all, I said some. But if the shoe fits Because nobody wants you if you know everything. Listen, I done messed up in marriage before. I said this time I'm not gonna end up by myself. Remember I told my wife, if you leave me, I'm going with you. You leave me alone, I'm coming right behind. 'Cause I ain't being by myself no more. But I understood that the reason I ended up by myself before was arrogance. Come on, watch this. The Bible says pride come before a fall, and a haughty spirit before destruction leaves you alone. Then watch this. When you're by yourself, that aloneness leads to abortion. You abort your original purpose. Help us. You abort what you're supposed to be doing in the earth because you don't have the support system to fulfill purpose. So now you killed the original plan of God, and it all started with arrogance that led to a long list that led to abortion. Watch this. Once you kick the original intent of God, the purpose of God, out of your life, you end up becoming an adventurist. Yeah, you start taking risks. With your life and everybody else's life. That's why you got all these false pastors in the city who will start a church knowing they ain't called to pastor just because they can preach. And most of them can't even preach. I'll tell you, I told you, I paid for this tonight. Can't nobody put me out of here. Promise y'all will leave before I do, cuz I paid to be here. I got time. Glory to God. Thank you, Reuben. Listen, that's a problem Because now you got leaders who start taking risks with everybody's life just to make themselves feel good about themselves. Watch this. You ever seen somebody that start 20 businesses and none of them work? Every time you talk to them, they got an idea, they trying to do this, they try— this a person that has a aborted the original purpose. I mean, they just trying to do everything and get everybody involved, and none of this stuff works because they don't— aborted their original intent. Watch this: arrogance, aloneness, adventurism, abortion. And the final thing that happens when you don't have a childlike spirit is that you end up in adultery. And adultery has nothing to do with sexual unfaithfulness to a married person only. That's only one aspect of it. God called Israel an adulterous nation. They had nothing to do with sex. It has something to do with them being satisfied with a God that was not there. And see what many people are doing, they're living in adultery. 'Cause you're satisfied with a life that God didn't ordain. You're satisfied in a job that God didn't call you to work. You're an adulterer. You're satisfied in a church God didn't call you to sit. You're satisfied preaching and doing a ministry God didn't call you to do. It's adultery. So the only adulterers ain't those that cheat on their spouse. You're in adultery if you're not aligned with your purpose. And the only way you can do that is you got to get a childlike spirit to align with God. Amen. Let's go to Luke 18 real quick. I'm going somewhere. This is my last text I'm gonna read, and then I'm going to Exodus 15. Touch yourself and say, I need a childlike spirit to access the supernatural. Say, I also need a renewed mind to access the supernatural. The Bible says in Luke 18:15-17, the Bible says this: Then they also brought infants to him that he might touch them. But when the disciples saw it they rebuke them. That's a big problem. People are bringing babies to Jesus to be blessed, to be healed. The disciples see this and they start rebuking the people that bring the babies. That's a problem. That's arrogance. You ever been to a church and the pastor's got 10 members and 9 other bears. I've seen that, I've seen it, I've seen it. I promise you, I've seen it. That's arrogance, man. You ain't got 10 people, you're not that important. Nobody's looking for you, nobody's trying to kill you, but you walk in the building with 9 folk around you. Y'all been to that church, I know, because people have important spirit. Everybody wants to be important, everybody wants to be popular. There's a race in the body of Christ for popularity. Everybody's trying to have the most Facebook followers, the most Instagram followers. And what I've learned, because not only am I a minister but I'm also an entrepreneur, what I've learned about social media is that if you can have a million followers, and it don't mean nothing if you don't know how to monetize those followers, that's right, that's right, you just got a bunch of people looking at you. You ain't making no profit off of it. So the reality is you got to humble yourself. And how do you do it? Always be where you are. Come on, let me say that one more time. Always be where you are. What does that mean? That means look at— take an introspective view and always be where you are. Come on, don't promote yourself beyond your present place. Bible says promotion comes not from the east or the west or north or the south, but promotion comes from God. God's the one that promotes you. Watch this, he said if you humble yourself before the mighty hand of God, he will exalt you in due season. Some of you trying to exalt yourself because you ready, and you got leaders who will exalt themselves because they feel like, oh, I'm ready. And God said, no, man, you're not ready. Sit down, get some development. We got too many novices. Who are arrogant. Watch this, they are arrogant ventriloquists. They have the spirit of a ventriloquist. A ventriloquist is a dead dummy that mimics the words of his master. And there are a lot of preachers who are dead dummies sitting in the lap of religion, and they're mimicking what the spirit of religion is saying. Or they're mimicking their favorite preacher. They have no revelation. Matter of fact, the whole sermon they preach, they're reading a book off their iPad. They don't study and lay before God. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. And I say unto you, my little ones, tonight, that if you will hearken to my word and be diligent toward the things I say, there'll be no thing you can seek me for that I will not do. And I say unto you, my precious little ones, that the day has come and the hour has arrived for you to emerge and be who I have ordained you to be. For who you are is greater than who you have been. And I say unto you tonight that my has done is just as powerful as my will do. If I did it before, I say to you tonight, I'll do it again. And what I'm doing now, and even in this hour, shall be a thousand times more than what you have experienced. Hearken even to my word and do what I say, and you will see the manifestation of my promise, says the Lord. And I say to you, my children, be faithful to me. Well, this is the season where I am exposing your potential. I am exposing your gifting. And you shall move in who I have ordained you to be. And my light and my glory will shine through you. And yea, I say unto you tonight, if you will trust me with all of your heart, no weapon formed against you will prosper. And I say unto you, be diligent to be out of your own way. For I say to you tonight, Don't be a weapon, said the Lord, formed against yourself that causes you not to excel in the things that pertain to me, says the Lord of hosts. I need you to give God praise for his word. Verse 16, Jesus called to them and said, little children, let the little children come to me and forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of God. See, when you got a childlike spirit, that's your ticket, that's your admission into the King's presence. Lord Jesus said something about the children. Anytime you come before the Father, you need to come childlike. There's— that's the only way to come before him with honor, with respect, as an inferior to a superior. And that gives you access into the supernatural that's going to produce the restoration that you need. Can I say to you tonight that a fresh wind is blowing through the body of Christ? And for those that are humble, God's going to cause you to be immersed, and he's going to cause you to be effective. Yeah, but you got to rebuke pride, you got to rebuke arrogance, and decide, I'm gonna be humble. And I promise you, though, humble yourself, because what you don't want to happen is God to start humbling Listen, I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Verse 17 says, 'Assuredly I say to you, who does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child'— watch this— 'will by no means enter in.' So the reason why many of you are not experiencing the manifestation of the kingdoms in your life, or the kingdom of God in your life, is because you're proud. And religious pride will do it every time. Some people proud and don't even know it because they've been taught bad theology, and they are proud of that theology. I mean, anytime somebody starts telling you that there are no more miracles and that you ain't— you're not supposed to expect the supernatural in the church, Most time, number one, is because they don't have supernatural in their church, and so they're trying to cast some bad light on somebody that does. But then secondly, like I said earlier, it's all they know, and then they pass it on to you. But you got to empty yourself as a child and have the innocence of a child when you come before the Father. Say, Lord, I'm willing to learn whatever you're willing to teach You know what childlike spirit is? It's saying I have the position of a learner. So me and my wife, we got our faith on some things, and one of the things we got our faith on is this prophecy that's over my life that God's gonna make me a billionaire. So when that thing came to me came to me about 8 years ago. I grabbed it. It came again 5 years after that from a different person, and God was already telling me that anyway. I just kind of pushed it to the side. But so we put our faith on it, we confess it every day, we create the culture for that to happen. Watch this, by taking the position of a learner. You can't teach me how to make a billion if you ain't never made a billion. So when you see me on the golf course on social media and I'm riding a golf cart and playing golf, I'm playing with folk that can teach me how to be a billionaire because I need a billion for the kingdom. Y'all keep shouting, speaking in tongues, falling on the floor. God say, I'm gonna get a building and I'm gonna build some stuff. I'm gonna hire some folks. I'm gonna build some communities. I'm gonna build some hospitals. Because at the end of the day, we got to advance the kingdom. So I, I take the position of a learner. Watch this. 80% of these people ain't saved. The multi-millionaires I spend time with, most of them ain't born again. So I'm the light in the circle, but I ain't out there trying to squinch my eyes and be deep, go back in tongues and try— because now I want to run them away. I'm there to learn. And when the opportunity for me to speak shows up I say what I gotta say. One of the billionaires I play golf with is Stan McRae. That's Oprah's guy. I got pictures on my Instagram with him. He, he, he, he is a very wise investor. He told me, he said, Woods, if you take the position of a learner— he gave me this revelation— you can have what you learn. Wow. Y'all know I took it deeper. I started looking at the word learn. Inside of the word learn was earn. So you earn what you learn. So if I learn what a billionaire knows, I'll earn what a billionaire earns. If you learn what a doctor knows, you'll earn what a doctor earns. You ain't gonna just earn a neurologist salary and You don't go to medical school and learn how to work on a brain. See, we don't want to humble ourselves. Oh my goodness, we want to dance, want to fall on the floor and cry. But when you— God don't want you to have holy hands and empty pockets. And in order to shift into kingdom living, You got to humble yourself. I had to learn something else. I realized, okay, I got— I understand ministry, but I'm going to get around some folk to help me get this money to another level. Cuz guess what? I can't depend on y'all to give. I can't. I'm sorry. Look, I paid for this when y'all gave anything. Listen, I'm telling you, cuz I— and I know— and I'm just saying that because Now maybe this group is better, but church folk as a whole, they already got in their mind what they're gonna do when they come to church. So until we talk different about giving, you know, you can't put your dependency on that. So I agree, streams. Adam had 5 streams running into him in the garden. Come on, you need some streams flowing into you. If you got one stream, you better check yourself, because the moment you can't do that, what you going to do? I got streams come from everywhere. So there's something dry up, okay, whatever, this is still coming in. You got to create streams through learning, but you got to humble yourself so you can learn. Say that y'all like Spirit. Say, a renewed mind taps me into the supernatural. Now go to Exodus 15, and I'm through. Somebody say, thank the Lord, is through. Let him. Glory to God. Exodus 15. Don't get anything out of this for Give God praise if you get something out of this tonight. Hallelujah. Exodus 15. Glory to God. Let's look at verse 22. The Bible says, so Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea. Say that, say, from the Red Sea. And they went into the wilderness of Shur, and they went 3 days in the wilderness and found no water. Verse 23: And when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, what shall we drink? Watch verse 25: And he cried unto the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree, which when he cast it into the waters The waters were made sweet. There he made for them a statute and an ordinance and proved them and said, verse 26, if thou will diligently hearken— man, that just came forth in the prophecy— to the voice of the Lord thy God and will do what is right in his sight and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes. Glory to Jesus. He says, I will put none of these diseases upon you which I have brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord that healeth thee. Let me show you how to tap supernatural restoration. Moses shows us in this text, and I'm just going to break this down real quick and I'm done. I'm gonna pray. The Bible said Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea. Now that represents victory, right? We all know that Moses was running from Pharaoh. He stood before the Red Sea and God gave him a miracle and parted the Red Sea, and they walked through on dry ground. Victory, right? They got on the other side. Exodus 15, chapter 1, the Bible said Miriam got a tambourine, Moses began to sing, they start worshiping God for the victory. 10 verses later, persecution hits, trouble hits, because God has a way of bringing you out of one victory and putting you in another test to see if you can praise him and worship him no matter where you are. It's easy to praise God when your bills are paid. It's easy to praise God, glory to God, when everything is clicking the way you want. But can you still worship when you don't know how you gonna pay your light bill? When you don't know— oh my God— when you don't know how you're gonna pay your car note? Can you still rejoice and give God praise when you don't understand where what you need is coming from? So God drops him in another chest. But you know what I love about God? Whenever he tests us, he always is up to something. So you can't curse your crisis again. You got to look at that crisis. All right. I got this. I'm gonna stand still. I'm gonna keep worshiping. I'm gonna keep praising because I know God is up to something. Brought them from the Red Sea. Watch this. And then he went into the wilderness of Shur. God brought him and dropped them in the wilderness. The word Shur means without walls or without an exit. So he dropped them in the wilderness that they had no topography or no map or no directive on how to get out. Matter of fact, if you look at Shur on a map, if you got an aerial view with a drone or in a plane, if you look down at the wilderness of Shur, the topography suggests that you can't even see the ground because you just see trees. So in the daytime, it looked like it was night. God will put you in a place where you can't trace him. He'll put you in a position where you have to trust him, but you can't trace him. He'll put you in a situation where you got to have vision in the dark. Listen, before we had digital pictures Pictures had to be developed. And when you took a camera and you took pictures, you would take the film— some of y'all too young, you know what that is? Someone said, film? What in the world is film? You take film to the store and they call it a negative, and the developer would take the negative in the darkroom And he would develop the negative. So often God will take you to the darkroom with negative situations to develop you. And once it's inside of the darkroom, there were 3 solutions. One, it was a solution called fixer. So they would stick the film in the fixer. And what the fixer would do is start moving the residue and start outlining what was in the photo and start bringing clarity. Y'all not talking to me here. To what the picture looks like. Some of you are in the dark room now, and what you don't realize is God is fixing you. Glory to the name of God. He's giving you an outline. He's redirected your life. He's got you going through the process because he's trying to get you developed. The other solution— Lord, help me— was developer. The developer gave detail to the negative. It brought the picture all the way forward so it could be seen with the natural eye. Sometimes you have to go in the dark room with your negative so God can show you what you've been missing. My wife gave me an awesome revelation last night. She said sometimes you can't see the picture if you're in the picture, and sometimes you got to step out of the picture to see what's really going on. And you can see— glory to the name of God— some of you haven't been able to see your purpose. Don't play. Haven't been able to see your life. Have not been able to see the breakthrough, have not been able to see the blessing, have not been able to see the increase, have not been able to see the power that God wants to give you because you've been looking at it through the eyes of other people. But God said, trust your crisis, trust the dark place, trust the developer, and let God bring it into focus. The other apparatus in the darkroom was water. Water would cleanse the film and get it ready for distribution. So God has you in a darkroom because he's trying to clean you up, because he's trying to get the impurities out of your life. He's trying to get people out of your life that will hinder you. He's trying to get dream killers away from you. He's trying to get that person that's been riding your back, that's been distracting you, that's calling you— hallelujah— to tell you that you're not what God says you are. God says, I'm trying to cleanse you of the unrighteousness. I'm trying to cleanse you of the sin. I'm trying to move the filter because I'm getting ready for distribution. I got to pull— see, we need some preachers who are clean. We need some preachers who are holy. We need some preachers who are righteous. We need some preachers that can stand and say, I'm living for Jesus. Promise you, I can stand here today and tell you there's nothing like being clean. There's nothing like being holy. There's nothing like being distributed in purity. There's nothing like being distributed— glory to the name of God— with God smiling at you. See, the world is telling us it's okay to be gay, it's okay to be a lesbian, it's okay to be a whoremonger. But the devil is a liar. You'll never see the kingdom, you'll never see glory living like a hoe, living like a faggot. Living like a butch. God will never— y'all ain't got to like this, but sure, I paid for this place. God told me to tell you, you got to clean it up. How you going to prophesy to me and you the biggest whore in the church? How you going to prophesy to me and you can't keep your pants up? How you going lay hands on me. Glory to God! He's sleeping on every sister in the church. The devil is a liar! God wants to clean you out! Glory to God! Come on, come on! Sit down, please. I'm trying to get you ready for distribution. Listen, and I can preach this from a place of authority, cuz I ain't always been clean. I ain't always crossed every T and dotted every I. I made mistakes. I've fallen. Many of you are clear about some of my failures, and I'm glad you're clear. Because I'm a living witness that if you serve God and you make the choice to live for him, he'll pick you up, he'll turn you around, he'll restore you, and he'll make you holy. If you trust in his blood, I'm telling you, the blood still works. I don't care how far you've fallen, the blood still works. And tonight I plead the blood over your family. I plead the blood The blood over your flesh. I plead the blood. Satan, the blood be against you. Satan, the blood! I guess I'm going to shout the blood, the blood, the blood! Let God get you ready for distribution. The Bible said it went 3 days in the wilderness and they found no water. My God. So God not only put him in wilderness, but he withdrew the ability to quench their thirst. To give them, for them to fulfill their desire. He said, I'm not going to give you what you want. They couldn't find no water, no life support. That's a horrible place to be in. Amen. Well, you know you need something, you know God can provide it, and he doesn't. Jesus Christ. God says, I put you in these situations to teach you that I am your source. So many of us have come to think that you are providing for yourself. Come on, my God! God is your source. The Bible said they found no water. I gotta move. And they came to Marah. The Bible said they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Marah means bitterness or poisonous or violent water. My God, the word mar in Hebrew means poisonous to death. Watch this. Marah was a cesspool pool. It was defecation and urine. It was obvious filth and dirt in his own— it was nasty. My God. I mean, it was that kind of water. They got to it, it was bubbling up. And as thirsty as they were, we can't drink that, it'll kill us. Ain't that something? And God God puts you in something, the moment you step out of it, and the first thing you get through that looks like hope, it's something that reminds you of where you come from. It's something that you can't partake of because it's poison. Let me tell you something. My wife was in the prophetic language. She was up, she was talking about letting go of yesterday. You got it from forget what was. God will never look at your past to determine your future. I'll say that one more time. He'll never look at your past to determine your future, because guess what? Your future is already decided. And guess what? God is omniscient. Yeah, whatever happened in your past, he knew it was gonna happen. Because he's omniscient. He knows all things, and he still planned a future for you. He's not going to allow that past to hinder where he's taking you. So you got to let it go. You can't drink it. You got to bury your past. Or it will bury you. You gotta let go your preoccupation with history, because if you stay preoccupied with history, you're going to miss destiny. There is something perverted folks do called necrophilia. Necrophilia— actually have sex with dead bodies. That's filthy, that's nasty. Some of you are spiritual necrophiliacs. You keep going back to something God said, I brought you out. He said, I got something more for you, but you keep laying with that same thing. It's dangerous. It's dangerous. Some of you can't love people the way you need to love them because you bound by soul ties that you need deliverance from in the past. God said let it go. You can't drink it. Come on, come on, watch this. They couldn't drink it and the people started murmuring against Moses. That's what people do when things aren't going their way. They want to find somebody to blame, so they start murmuring and complaining against the very person that just brought them through the Red Sea. I want you to think about how quickly do we forget that this same man brought you through the Red Sea, got you away from Pharaoh's army, and your heart still beat because of him. When things are not going your way, you got some choices. You can worship or you can complain. And watch this, some of you are complaining about things that you're allowing. Never complain about— Pastor Michelle, they're doing it— about what you allow. If you allowing it, shut up about it. Stop complaining about that man and you letting it. Come on, come on, you better pack your stuff and leave or go take you some lessons. And the next time, something like this, you going to be like, oh, you going to be a little slow hitting you again. Stop complaining about what you allowing. So I complain about the check you get at the end of the week. You're allowing that. You're working a linear job, exchanging your time for money. That's what you get. They put a value on your time and you give them your time. Oh boy. And they give you money and you complain about it at the end of the week. If you don't like what you get at the end of the week, change what you do during that. Don't complain about what you're not. They murder and complain about something they was allowed because their heart was far from God. Even after God gives them victory after victory, they still are far from him. Watch this, I'm almost done. Moses shows them how to get restoration. The Bible said Moses cried to the Lord. That's the first piece. The word cried there is asab in Hebrew, and it literally means he had desperation. He desperately released a sound that came from his belly and went to God's ear. Oh God, he cried out of his belly. Sometimes there's no time to be cute, there's no words you can articulate. Sometimes you just got to cry out to God. Out of your belly and just say, God, I need you. Sometimes you got to make hell upset. You got to upset the people around you and just cry out to God. Desperate people do desperate things. The question becomes, do you really want it? Do you really want a breakthrough? Do you really want to be restored? Do you really you want to be healed, you've got to learn to cry out of your belly until God cracks open the heavens and say, I can't take it anymore. You got to holler at God until he hollers back. I bet you touch somebody and just tell them, holler at God until he hollers back. You didn't do it. I bet you hit somebody else and say, I said holler at God until he hollers back. I'm telling you tonight that there There's a scream that makes God scream. There's a holler that'll make God holler. That's why I can't, I can't play with dead stuff. I can't let nobody constrain me, because when I need to holler, I need to holler. When I need to scream, I need to scream. You, when you, you gotta find you a place even in your house that your hollering can't be interrupted. Sometimes you got to go in your closet and just— oh God, thank you, Jesus— and scream. That makes Jesus scream back. I'm telling you, ain't nothing like when God starts hollering back at you, cuz the way God holler, he start releasing blessing. He starts releasing faith. He starts opening doors. He said, this person is desperate. I got to open the door. I got to make a way. I got to heal their body. I got to bless their children. I got to give them a business. I got to raise them up because they're desperate. Do I have any desperate people in this house tonight? Open your mouth and hallelujah! Moses cried to the Lord. Somebody say desperation. The Bible said he cried. Sit, sit, sit. I got to finish. I'm almost done. He cried to the Lord. The Bible says, and the Lord showed him a tree. So out of Moses' desperation The word showed there is a Septuagint transliteration of a Greek word fotizo. Back to what we just talked about, when we use words like photograph, that God gave him a revelation of a tree. His desperation produced revelation. If you're gonna get out and be restored, you need revelation. Revelation is not something that's new. Revelation is always there. Come on, the word literally means to pull back the curtain and show you what you had not seen, except you are desperate. Revelation comes to desperate people. The word— watch this— showed him a tree is yaira in Greek, or yaira in Hebrew. I'm sorry, it literally means a stick, a small stick. Wasn't even a big tree. The key to Moses's deliverance was a small thing, and it was there all the time. He couldn't see it until he got desperate. He couldn't see it until God hollered back and said, open your eyes. There's the revelation. God says, I want to show you something. I want to show you that I'm a healer. I want to give you a strategy to get out of your situation, but you got to get desperate because desperation leads to revelation. It doesn't stop there. That's right. The Bible said God showed it to him, and then what Moses did, the Bible said he cast it into the waters. So that you can get all— see, we got a lot of revelators who get revelation and teach revelation, but revelation is constipation without application. That means you're stuck. You're straining to break it through. People always ask them, Woods, what is your purpose in the body? I'm a spiritual laxative. My job is to keep the body moving. I'm fiber in the spirit because people are straining to get what they see into fruition. When you get revelation, you got to apply it. Do it. Faith without works is dead. Being alone— watch this. The Bible said he was desperate, he cried to the Lord. Lord showed him a tree, got a revelation. He took the revelation and made application. The Bible said when he made application, the waters were made sweet. Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Those same toxic cesspool urine, defecation, my God, poisonous, deadly water— God took the same water and gave him restoration. The desperation produced a revelation. When the revelation was put into application it brought forth restoration to the same water. Not the new water, same water. My God, obviously it was made sweet. That means somebody had tasted. My God. Now I believe the Bible, and I know that's why God had me living in 2023. Because I'm probably— I don't care, I'm probably not tasting that water. I'm probably gonna say, Lord, it's Elam's over there. I'm gonna wait till we get over here to this water. I know you did it, I saw it change right before my eyes, but I don't know about tasting that. But the Bible said the same water. Can I tell you something? God's doing some new things. What he told me to tell you I'm not making all new things. He said, Michael, tell him I'm making all things new. The reason the wall was tilted was because God made it go. I tell you, not somebody say God ain't making all new things. Tell him he's making all things new. So God's about about to take what is already there and enhance it and make it better. He ain't about to give you a new husband, a new wife. He's about to bless you with the one you got. He's about to make all things new. I wish I had some help here. He's about to take your same dream, your same idea, and give you a new blessing, a new breakthrough. I think you shout, all things new! That's God. Restoring the original intent, the original power. I'm telling you tonight that God's getting ready to restore. I know you touch yourself and say, I'm a product of restoration. Say, I am desperate, and out of my desperation— come on, say it— God's gonna give me a revelation. Come on, say it. God's gonna give me a revelation, and out of that revelation, say, I'm going to make application, and that application is going to bring restoration. Say, I'm getting ready to be restored. I stopped by Jackson, Mississippi to tell somebody tonight that God's getting ready to restore, and he's got your back. I dare you, high five somebody and tell them God's got your back. You ain't in it alone. Tell them God's got your back. I'm telling you, God's about to send you— just hit me and leave, Pat— God's about to send you backup. I guess somebody shout backup! I said backup! When I think about backup, I think about an officer that's in pursuit of a crime. He gets on the radio I say, I'm in pursuit of a 1019 and I need backup. And before long, you hear sirens coming, coming from the north, coming from the south, coming from the east, and coming from the west. God said, Michael, tell my people if they cry out in desperation. Tell them I will send them backup, backup from heaven, angels from heaven. He's going to send officers of Genesis, page number 114. I am that I am. He's going to send backup officers of Psalms, page number 23:1. God is my shepherd. He said, we're going to do that. I dare you, shake 3 hands and say, backup is coming, backup is coming, backup is coming. You're not alone. Backup is coming. Help is here. You're not alone. God said, I ain't forgot about you. Backup is here. Angels are flying around this place. Heaven is on your side. And God said, I come to restore. Here's what I need tonight. I just want desperate people. They say, Lord, I want my family restored. I want my children restored. I want my ministry restored. I want my finances restored. I want my body and my health restored. Desperate people that say, I want, and I want more, God, I want more. I want you to get out of your seat tonight and just come down this front and just get around this altar. We going after it tonight, and we not going to leave till we get it. Come on, come desperate, come seeking, come in pursuit. Desperate people, desperate people. Come on, out of your desperation. Revelation is coming tonight. Come on, open your mouth. Come on, cry out, cry out, cry out out of your Out of your belly! Out of your belly! Holy musicians!
