Yes, praise the Lord. God bless you. Welcome to the Apostle's Table. My name is Mike Woods, for those of you who are uninitiated. And I'm here and I'm excited to share the word of the Lord with you today. Listen, we've been eating all week long, so I'm ready. You know, ever been so hungry and you sit down at a table and you just can't wait for the food to get on the table? And so you could start— ever went to a restaurant and you're sitting in the restaurant. The worst thing you could do is go to a restaurant hungry. And you're sitting there in the restaurant, can't wait for the waitress to come. You're impatient about everything because you're hungry. Well, that's how I feel this afternoon, guys. I'm hungry, I wanna eat. The Lord's been downloading this stuff into me and I'm just gonna keep pouncing in and pouncing in and receiving it. And as he gives it to me, I'm gonna give it to you because we need a word from the Lord in these trying times like never before. So my goal this week on the Apostle's Table and every time we sit out here is to share with you a word that is relevant, a word that you can use right now and take action in your life and bring about powerful change. So we've been teaching this week, hallelujah, from the subject Anointed for the Now. On day 1, we've been just by way of review. On day 1, we begin to share with you some vital points. I share with you, glory to God, that Jesus brought his word with Him. He came to this planet with His Kingdom inside of Him. And I share with you that we can enter into the Kingdom at any time just by worshiping and giving glory to God because He inhabits the worship and the praise of His people. And we should visit the Kingdom and the King often to get what we need and bring it back into our world so we can superimpose that Kingdom on our world. Then on yesterday, I gave you a brief, very brief, I didn't even give into it in detail. SWOT analysis. S-W-O-T. SWOT analysis. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Listen, you just got to go back and watch yesterday to get the gist of what that SWOT analysis was. I did it because we're talking about being anointed for the now. So I wanted us to get some prophetic clarity as to where we are right now. Some of us look at the news We see the riots and we see the picketing, we see the violence, we see COVID-19 going around, and we think that that's really the gist of where we are. But there's an underlying spirit that operates behind these manifestations. And so I dealt with, even in 5 o'clock prayer yesterday, dealing with the spirit of terrorism that comes to terrorize us psychologically, spiritually, and physically. See, terrorism is not just a religious type strapping a bomb to himself and blowing up a place or flying a plane into a building. Terrorism is a spirit. Glory to God. Matter of fact, King Nebuchadnezzar in the Bible had the spirit of terrorism. And the way we deal with terrorism is in prayer. We deal with it in worship. We throw the king at it and we defeat it so we can win. So COVID is a manifestation of the spirit of terrorism. I need you to hear this. COVID-19, that's a manifestation of the spirit of terrorism that comes from a dark enemy. Glory to the name of God. Also, these— this racism, this violence in the streets, all the things that we're seeing, the hatred, the wars that are being incited around the country, it's a manifestation of the spirit of terrorism. And I, I'm telling you right now, the only thing that destroys this yoke is the anointing. So we need to be anointed for the now so we can deal with the weaknesses and threats, and we can maximize our strengths and seize every opportunity that's available to us. So let's jump into this tonight. So I've been teaching this. I told you on day one, glory to God, part one, that I was gonna teach this in small portions. I was gonna give you tapas. If you ever go to a tapas restaurant, they bring things out in small portions. Or if you go to a restaurant where you got different courses, they serve you. First, they'll give you an appetizer. Then you get soup and salad. So I've already given you the appetizer. I've already given you the soup and salad. So let's get into the main course. Glory to the name of God. So I want to talk about this anointing because we understand where we are. We know that to deal with the things that are happening in our hour— I'm gonna say this again, some of y'all don't like it, some of you maybe get mad at me, but I want you to understand what we need is the anointing. We do not need violence in the streets. We do not need picket signs with these efforts. We don't need marches, sit-ins, shut-ins. We need power. We need the glory of God to superimpose itself on the earth in a tangible way like it's never been seen before. And the only way that happens is through anointed people who release the anointing out of their life. Glory to the name of God. Antiquated ways will not work against this demon that we're fighting right now. It's terrorizing our young people. It's terrorizing our families. It's terrorizing everything we put our hands to. And we need to make up our mind that we're gonna move in the anointing. Now, the anointing is available to every person that will open them hearts and receive it. It's not just for preachers. It's not just for preachers. I said it again, it's for every believer baptized believer who is filled with the Holy Ghost, you have an opportunity to be anointed. So the first thing I want to bring out tonight is who qualifies, who qualifies for the anointing. Hallelujah! Who qualifies? Well, I'm glad you asked. Glory to God! First of all, you qualify for the anointing. I want you to touch yourself and say, I qualify for the anointing. Because there may be somebody listening to me right now that believes that just because they don't have a title and they're not called to preach, or they're not a part of a certain denomination, or they don't go to a certain church, that they're not qualified for the anointing. But hear me when I say this: every individual under the sound of my voice, you are qualified for the anointing. Touch yourself again and say, I'm qualified for the anointing. Come on, say it one more time. I'm qualified for the anointing. I need you to grab that because there are so many believers who are walking around this planet right now who don't understand that the moment they got saved— hallelujah, excuse me, I believe I drank to and gave their life to God. That's ginger, ginger root tea. Glory to God. Listen, the moment they got saved, they became qualified to walk in the anointing of God and release that anointing in the earth. But let's look at some scripture. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians, verse chapter number 1, verses 21 and 22, hear this. It says, now he would establish us with you in Christ. You, you, you, you, you. He who establishes us with you in Christ. Now watch this. The Apostle Paul is sharing a word with the Corinthians, and he says out of his mouth, now he— talking about God— who establishes us with you in Christ. In other words, he's saying there is no line of demarcation that separates us and makes us better than you. Oh my God. So watch this, believer. Even if you're not called to preach, the preacher is not better than you. We are all established in Christ through the mind of God. Watch this. Through the strategic forward thinking of God, well, God decided, okay, I need a human being on planet Earth that's going to release my power in the earth. So the first thing I'm going to do, I'm going to send my son and I'm going to let him live his life as an example. Oh my God, hear me. Oh my God, Jesus Christ lived his life as an example. Oh my God, whoo! For us to follow after. And then he says, I'm gonna allow him to be crucified, crushed on the cross. I'm gonna let him be raised again from the dead. I'm gonna send to heaven, and when I get to heaven, I'm going to send him another Comforter, uh, Apo Parakletos, one sent along to help him, the Holy Ghost. And he will be me in them, and they will be able to be established in me just like my son Jesus was. So whatever Jesus did— oh my God— we have the power and authority inside of us to do also. So you got to start thinking like that. You got to stop thinking like a churchgoer and start thinking about them like a believer who's been established in God and able to perform great works in the earth under the auspices of the anointing of God. I dare you touch yourself and say, I'm qualified. Say this, say, just like Jesus to be anointed. Ooh-wee! Are y'all hearing what I'm saying to you? You're qualified just like Jesus Oh my God, oh my God, to be anointed. Oh wow, let me keep reading. He says, now he which has established us with you in Christ and hath— oh, here we go— anointed us. Glory to God, who have also sealed us and given us the earnest of the Spirit in our heart. Oh my God, wait a minute, let's break this down, man. So he establishes us in Christ. That means that we're established in the earth, in God, in Christ, to move, to operate just like Jesus did in the earth, to cast out devils, to lay hands on the sick, to raise the dead. Glory to God. To shift systems, to tread upon serpents and scorpions, systems of this world that are wicked, to pull down strongholds. Glory to God. To move in power and authority in the earth. He says, I have established you in Christ. And then he said, I have anointed you, mashach in Greek, and it literally means I have smeared into you. Glory to God. Watch this, my character. I have caused you literally, mashach, I have caused you literally to become one with how I how I think and how I operate. I have a, you know, I ain't just rubbed some oil on you, but I have embedded into your DNA, your spiritual DNA, my personality, my abilities, my, oh my God, my behavior mechanisms. That's really what it means to be anointed. It ain't that you can holler. You know, people go to church and say, ooh, they hear somebody holler and say, ooh, wasn't they anointed? 'Cause they hollered real loud. Listen, Noise does not equate the anointing. I'll say it again, noise does not equate the anointing. I've seen some very quiet people who were extremely anointed. I've seen some very quiet people with, listen, my wife is one of them, very quiet, doesn't say much, but she has an anointing on her life that she can lay hands on you and you can be healed, glory to God. And she don't say a whole lot. She's not loud. She's not the loudest person in the room all the time because noise doesn't equate the anointing. And most of the time people think because she's quiet and don't say much that she's not anointed because they're undiscerning. Because you can't equate— I'm not saying people that make noise are not anointed because I make a lot of noise all the time. But at the end of the day, you need to have some anointing with your noise. Somebody hear somebody sing real good. Ooh, she was anointed because she could hit that run. Oh, he was anointed because he could sing that note. Let me tell you something, that don't mean you're anointed because you can do runs. Come on, son. And we're gonna get into this deeper as we're getting to talk about this, but you gotta understand, talent doesn't equate the anointing. The only thing the anointing is synonymous with is the personality, the character, and the power of Jesus Christ. He smears that into your spiritual DNA and you move like he moves and the anointing always gives results. Lord, I feel like preaching. Yeah, glory to God. Touch yourself and say, I'm qualified. Yeah, you are. I'm qualified for the anointing. Ee-hee! Glory to God. Somebody say, I'm qualified for the anointing. Anointing. Glory to God. I feel good. I feel joy in my soul. I feel the anointing right now while I'm teaching this anointed word. Somebody listening to me, God is liberating the— oh my God— the chains from your mind, and he's breaking the limitations in your life. Oh my God, I just heard that in the spirit. Some of you have been limited by your past. Some of you have been limited by negative words spoken over you. Some of you have been limited by attacks of the enemy. But I'm here to announce to you, you were limited by how you grew up and the lack of love you had growing up. But God told me to say tonight to you, whoever you are that's watching me right now, he's breaking the limitations. Oh my God. And you're about to break out of that box and you're about to excel greater than you've ever known before in your life. Oh my God. My time almost gone, y'all. Whoo! But you ought to receive that right now in the name of Jesus. And touch yourself and say, "I'm anointed for the now." Hallelujah. Say, "I'm qualified for the anointing." Oh my God. Glory be to God tonight. God's— oh, I feel that. He's breaking the limitations. Whoo! I prophesy to you right now. He's breaking every very limitatious. And God told me to tell somebody, you're 50, you're 55, you're 60, and you feel like you have no purpose, that it's too late. But God told me to tell you the limits are being taken off right now. Oh God, and you're about to rise to levels that you've never gone to before. You're getting ready to soar because God has broken the limits off of your life. Hallelujah! I gotta quit, y'all. I gotta go, I gotta go, I gotta go. God, I just got started. My God, listen, listen, listen. God help me teach this tonight. So he says he has anointed us and he has also sealed us. Wait a minute, that word sealed— watch this— the Greek word literally means that he has placed us— oh my God— under arrest. As a prisoner in chains with a life sentence. So when God gives you the anointing, when God anoints you, he doesn't take it back. He seals it. Glory to God. The only way you can walk away from the anointing is you walk away on your own and you start living in ways that the anointing cannot flow through you. You break the seal by beginning to operate in the flesh. What breaks the seal is fleshly operations. You know, I can be sitting in a service, and I can tell when the anointing has lifted off of a person, and they break the seal and get in their flesh and start moving in their flesh, start prophesying in their flesh, singing in their flesh, preaching in their flesh. I could tell even in business if somebody's anointed or not. For business when the anointing is lifted off their conversation. Because God seals this thing and he's in control of it. Because that— because guess what? If he throws you in prison, that means he's the warden. He controls the anointing on your life. Uh-oh. Even though he— because he anointed you, so you're not in control of it. You do what he tells you to do with the anointing. You don't take the anointing as a prophet and become a psychic. Come on, I don't have time to teach this tonight. You don't take the anointing, oh my God, as an apostle and become a warlock and start controlling people because you have authority. No, he sealed it for his purpose, for his control. Woo, woo, woo! God, I feel the Lord in this place. Man, I tell you, I feel like preaching to you today. Listen, you gotta grab this. Touch yourself and say, the anointing is sealed. Say, I'm willing, God, to let you control me. Hallelujah! If you let it— if you don't let anybody control you, let it be God. Hallelujah! Some of you too, uh, manly and macho, and some of you think you're too powerful that you can't let God control you. Listen, you have no power without God. Oh God. So he sealed us, and then he gave us the earnest of the Spirit in our heart, which now Now he put the earnest, which means earnest money. Earnest money is a guarantee that when you need me, I'm going to show up. If you're buying a house or buying a piece of commercial real estate, they're going to tell you, okay, I need you to put $10,000, $20,000, $50,000 earnest money on this piece of property because that lets us know you're serious. We're going to put this money in escrow and then we're going to wait until we close the deal and we're going to apply this money to the deal. So God says the spirit is in escrow, fueling the anointing every time you get ready to go forward. That's why you can't afford to be in your flesh. You need to let God be in control every single time. Man, I got 3 minutes. I gotta go. God, I want to keep teaching this. Y'all have to come back tomorrow and get the rest of this. Glory to God. Listen, the anointing carries a price. The anointing is not free. The anointing comes through processes and pain. Any person you know that is anointed for real, there's a story behind the glory. Hallelujah. I had somebody come to me. This is a true story. I had been preaching a revival. This was back when I was traveling the country. This is probably 17, 18 years ago this happened. I actually was in— this was my first time ever going to the city of Detroit to preach. I had preached a revival at a church there. Got through preaching. On the last night, I was in the back at my cassette tape table. Glory to God. And I was greeting people, and a young man came up to me. He says, "I want to be anointed just like you." He said, "Can you lay hands on me, and can you pray for me that I can receive the anointing, that I can preach like you?" I can prophesy like you. So I laid my hands on him. I said, "In the Name of Jesus, God, let him go through marriage issues. Let him have problems as a little boy growing up. Let him go—" I started asking God to give him the pain I endured. And he stepped back and said, "I didn't ask for all that." I said, "Well, son—" I was a young man myself. But I said, "Son, that's how you get it. You got to go through some hell. You got to be broken. You got to be crushed." crushed, just like Jesus. Jesus was anointed, and he had to go to Gethsemane. The word Gethsemane in Greek means oil press. It means to crush. The, the, the— in Gethsemane, they would have olives, and the ladies would go down to Gethsemane and stomp on the olives. They would dance on the olives until they were crushed and the oil oozed out. See, some of you can't get no real oil because because you refuse to be crushed. And most of you, every time the crushing comes, instead of enduring the crushing, oh my God, you resist it, you push it away. But God says you gotta be squeezed, you gotta be crushed until the oil oozes out. Let God press on you so he can anoint you for now. Glory to God. Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God. Let me read Psalm 45:7 and I'm outta here, y'all. Oh my God, let me read it, let me read it. I'm out of here. Let me read Psalm 45:7. He says, thou lovest righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, thy God hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. See, the anointing gives you an edge over people who refuse to receive the anointing. And you can move in the anointing. I said this yesterday, in every system of the Earth, and that's really what God wants us to do. Listen, guys, my time is gone. I got to stop right there. I thank God for the last couple of days we've been praying for salvation, and I thank God for those who have emailed and responded. I want to pray that the anointing that you will— I want to pray specifically that those of you listening today can endure the seasons of crushing, because with every level of anointing, there's a crushing. There's a breaking so that the anointing can ooze out of your life. Listen, you're not in control of it. You can't turn it on and off. He sealed you with it, and He already knows the depth that He wants to take you to. And every level, He cracks open a new place through crushing. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, I thank You for my fellow friends and partners that are listening today. I ask you, God, to help them to endure the crushing. Help them to endure the breaking. And Father, in Jesus' name, I pray that as you crush them and as you've taken many of them, let their pain become power. Let their pressure become power. And God, make them relevant for the now. Make us relevant for the now that we can make an impact back in this world. God, so much is going on, and what this world needs is your anointing. Do it now, Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen. Listen, if you're listening right now and you're not born again, and you said, Michael Woods, I don't know Jesus and the free pardon of my sin, I don't have my business straight with the Lord. If you, if you if you died right now and you had not accepted Jesus in your heart, let me tell you something. You will go to hell. I know there are people out here who are teaching that there is no hell. Don't you buy into that lie. Hell is real. It is no place to get right. And if you say, Michael Woods, I want to be saved, it's simple as confessing with your mouth, believing in your heart. The Bible says you'll be saved. Say this with me. Say, Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, I confess I confess with my mouth that you are Lord. I believe in my heart that you died and you rose again. Say, in Jesus' name, I open my life to you and I say yes to your will, yes to your way. In Jesus' name. Amen. Listen, if you prayed that prayer, you're saved. You just need to think, take the next step. You need to be baptized in water. You need to receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost. And listen, I want to give you the next steps. I want to give you all of the next steps so you can grow closer to God and begin to move in the anointing. You're saved right now. You've repented of your sin. You've confessed with your mouth. Send me a message to the link on the screen, and I want to give you all the things you need. And say, "Dr. Woods, I prayed with you today. Give me what I need." I need to strengthen my walk with God.
