THE APOSTLES TABLE: ANOINTED FOR THE NOW, PT 2

Dr. Mike Woods Sr. delivers part two of "Anointed for the Now," analyzing the modern church through strengths (the indwelling Kingdom, authentic apostolic gifts), weaknesses (division, leaders building personal kingdoms), opportunities (social crisis as a gospel platform, digital reach), and threats (social media journalism, superficial churches). He stresses that revelation without application is "constipation" and calls listeners to prayer, worship, and unity.

We decree your life will never be the same again. Thanks for joining us And welcome to the Apostle's Table.
Well, hey everybody, God bless you and a pleasant good afternoon to everybody. I'm excited to be here and I'm excited to share the word of the Lord today. Listen, if you're joining us live, I want you to go ahead right now and take a moment to share this video. Please just go ahead and do it. Share this video with your family, with your friends. Because this is a word from the Lord that we need for times like these right now. So I need you to share this word. I had a great time teaching this on yesterday, and I'm so happy to continue this message today. So make sure you go ahead and share it. And then after this, if you missed yesterday's teaching, make sure you go back and watch it. It's on my timeline. Go back and watch it because we certainly need this word of the Lord to navigate us through these times. I'm really appreciative to God that he would allow me to disseminate this information. So please open your heart, open your spirit, get out a pen, get out a piece of paper. Again, share this, let some— send out a text, let somebody know that we're on live right now sharing the word of God. So I'm excited to share this again today. So let's pray and we're going to jump right back into the heart of the word. And I'm telling you, We're going to be blessed. Glory to God. So let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, we thank you for another opportunity to teach your word. Father, we give you praise. We give you glory. We know that there is none like you nowhere. It's in you we live. It's in you we move. It's in you, God, we have our being. So, Father, today I'm asking you to let your anointing superimpose itself upon me. God, let us experience the light, the illumination, and the intelligence of the Holy Ghost. God, let me say only what you will have me to say. Bridle my tongue to your will, and I give you glory and honor and praise now. And let the word go out in such a way that the weak would leave this live saying, "I'm strong." The poor would leave saying, "I'm rich." The discouraged would leave encouraged. Doubters would leave with faith. And we give you praise and glory for it now in Jesus' name. Amen. And thank the Lord. Lord. Hallelujah. Again, welcome to the Apostle's Table. You're always welcome, and we're getting ready to eat, y'all. Glory to God. So let's eat and let's see what the heavens is saying and that— and what— how the heavens are declaring to us today. So open your heart, open your spirit, and we're going to jump right in this. So yesterday I started teaching a lesson entitled Anointed for the Now. This is a message the Lord gave me, and I'm telling you, it is very appropriate. Matter of fact, the first time he God gave me these scriptures and this message was many years ago. I mean, a matter of fact, when I was on the road traveling as a prophet and an evangelist 20, 25 years ago, this is a message God gave me, and he told me to go back in it, and I started digging in it and opened up this text, and God showed me, "Hey, this is going to work for us now if we receive it and apply it." Let me tell you something. Information or revelation without application is constipation. So it's not gonna really do you any good to hear me teach and preach this and then you don't apply it. So you gotta run out and be a person who makes application. I'll say it again, information, revelation without application is constipation. Constipation means you're stuck, you're straining, everything is hard because you won't apply truth. So I want you to stay with me, don't be scrolling, stay focused, get this truth and then run out and apply it. So yeah, We started sharing this message entitled Anointed for the Now, for right now. We got a lot going on in our world. And so yesterday, just by way of review, I read 1 John 2:27, and we talked about how we have received Jesus and how he came to this earth and he brought his kingdom with him. Are you hearing me? And then when we got born again, received Jesus Christ in the baptism of the Holy Ghost, That same Kingdom that Jesus brought with Him now is in us because Jesus even declared, "The Kingdom of God is within you." So, the King and His Kingdom lives in us. I dare you to touch yourself right there. I'm just reviewing yesterday. Say, "The King lives in me." All right? And you really can go back and watch it. I'm just reviewing some main points that I shared yesterday. So, we kind of shared with you that He brought His world with Him. And he brought that world with him to show us that that same world lives in all of us as believers and the power that he demonstrated on Earth through the anointing of God. Jesus Christ, and we'll see this as we continue through this series, himself was anointed. And the Bible said he grew in the anointing day by day. And so the anointing is something that can grow. It can increase. And I said, shared yesterday, We cannot fight a World War III with a World War II anointing. Matter of fact, the weapons of World War II are obsolete naturally. So I said that yesterday. We cannot have an antiquated, outdated anointing trying to fight the woes of the times we live in. We need a fresh anointing. I recall the Psalmist David saying, "Every morning he anoints me with fresh oil." Somebody ought to shout, "Fresh oil!" And by the time I get through teaching this series, the devil is going to know that you are anointed because I believe those of you that are listening, you're going to receive this, and you're going to apply it, and you're going to go away from this teaching, glory be to God, and you're going to begin to move in the anointing of God, and we're going to see change in our world because I'm going to tell you something. It's not left up to the preacher alone. It's left up to the preacher and all the believers connected to ministry. To move in the anointing and bring change to the world. So let's jump in this. I talked about how the world needs the anointing. I shared with you about the BRICS nations, about NATO, about the WHO, the World Health Organization, about the United Nations, how these heads come together. And I talked about apostles and prophets being the foundation of the church with Jesus being the chief cornerstone. So go back and watch yesterday so you can know where we are. So today, I wanna pick up, because we gotta just get a clear understanding of where we are and what's really happening in our world, okay? So we gotta really know what's going on. The Bible says really we should be like the sons of Issachar, to understand the times, to know what we ought to do. So I wanna just kinda bring a clear understanding of where we are as a body of Christ, where we are in the world. And the way I wanna do that, take a very brief SWOT analysis. SWOT, S-W-O-T, a SWOT analysis. That's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. And I want to show you what our strengths are as the body of Christ, what our weaknesses are, because we have some that we need to correct, and what our opportunities are, and what threats are against us right now. Okay, so here we go. Let's, let's start right here. First of all, let's deal with our strength. Our first strength is that the King of the Earth in these times right here, the King of the Earth, God himself, lives inside of all of us through the vehicle of the Holy Ghost. I want you to catch this because this is a strength. And here's the problem: most people do not understand how to visit the kingdom. Woo-hoo-hoo! Oh my God! If the Kingdom of God is in you, that means you should be able to visit the Kingdom of God. Oh my God! Whenever— Oh, I feel the anointing right now. Glory to God. Jesus. You should be able to visit the Kingdom whenever you feel like it. Are you hearing what I'm saying? You should be able to enter into the Kingdom and spend time with the King and receive downloads. Glory to God. And receive encouragement. And receive healing and receive the benefits of being a Kingdom citizen anytime you want. So the Kingdom is in me, and the King is in me. And if that's one of my strengths, how do I access it, Michael Woods? I'm glad you asked. Oh, I'm glad you asked. Glory to God. Well, the Bible says that God inhabits, He dwells in, He lives in the praises of Israel or the praises of His people. So every time I worship, every time I praise, God descends to His throne that's in my heart, that's in my life, that's inside of my spirit, and He begins to embrace the worship and praise I give Him and allows me access to the— You ought to try it sometime. Hallelujah. Worship until you can enter in. I'm not just talking about singing a song, but stroke God's ego until He shows up and until you can enter into a Kingdom encounter with Him. This is a strength of the church, but very few use it. Secondly, what— secondly, we have a strength. Oh, come on, let me just keep going. We have the prophetic edge. Oh, this is a strength because we do have some rare and authentic apostolic and prophetic types in the world that have a prophetic voice. We have believers who've been baptized in the Holy Ghost who have embraced the fact that they actually have the gift of prophecy available to them. Listen, if you're a believer, you don't have to be a prophet to prophesy because if you're filled with the Holy Ghost, and there is a difference in a prophet and someone with the gift of prophets. Quite honestly, a lot of these prophets out here today who have labeled themselves prophets without proper apostolic authority releasing them and developing them into the office, and they just throw it on them because they could prophesy, Most of these people have the gift of prophecy. Now, you can graduate to the office if you become astute in the gift of prophecy, the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, and the discerning of spirits. Those 4 gifts— every— there are 9 gifts of the Spirit, but these 4 prophetic gifts, glory to the Name of God. Again, gift of prophecy, word of wisdom, word of knowledge, gift of discernment. Every prophet has to be astute and move at a maximum level in these 4 gifts because before you can actually begin and say, "I'm a prophet." And we got a lot of people who call themselves prophetic, and in my opinion, they're absolutely pathetic because they have not sat at the feet of apostleship long enough to learn how to astutely master the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, the gift of prophecy, and the discerning of spirits. So, here's what I want you to understand. We have a strength, a strength. Again, I'm doing a SWOT analysis. We have, I don't have time to teach you about prophecy and prophets tonight, but at the end of the day, I'm telling you, prophetic edge because we do have some people who can prophesy accurately into the culture. And this is no time, prophets, for us to be silent. The prophet must speak. The prophet must put his ear to God's mouth and begin to share what thus saith the Lord because this is a strength for the church. This is a part of our anointing for the now. The prophets have to rise, and the prophets have to speak. The prophetic, not the pathetic, the apostolic, not the apathetic. We need true— not the apostates, but apostles. We need real anointings that will rise and begin to go against the grain and push on the serpents and push on the systems that's trying to take over God's— oh my God— agenda for this planet, which he gave to man, where we should be ruling and having Dominion. Oh my God, it's a strength. We got the prophetic edge. Oh, oh, I dare you, lay hands on yourself and say, I have the prophetic edge. Glory to God. Come on, lay hands on yourself again and say, I have the prophetic edge. Glory to God. We have it and we got to use it. And we got— let me slow down because I'm excited and I feel the anointing. I don't have a lot of time, guys. I got to get out of here, man. Matter of fact, my time really is almost gone. I got to hurry. I got to hurry. I got to hurry. I got to hurry. So, those are our strengths. God is our head. He's our King, and the King lives in us. We have a prophetic edge because everyone is gifted. Everyone is important. That's a strength. Let's look at our weaknesses. Let's look at a few weaknesses that we have in the church. Here's a big weakness. One, we have not learned to harness our numbers. With the number of believers in the world, all over the world, we are too sectarian. We are too divided. There is a— oh my God— wall that has been placed between us, and we got to learn how to harness the systems that God has put in place and respect one another's gifting. Here's the problem: while we can't harness our numbers— I'm not going to even get past swallow analysis today. God have mercy. Y'all got to tune in tomorrow and the rest of the week to get this, but I'm— the Holy Ghost is flowing right now. We got to learn how— if we're going to be anointed from now, we got to deal with this weakness and harness our numbers. We got to stop building kingdoms to ourselves. Oh, oh, it's so many leaders, so many preachers who stand by and build kingdoms to themselves, and that, my friends, was never the will of God. We gotta harness our numbers. We gotta work together. Big churches and little churches, little churches and big churches. We gotta start worrying about who's in and who's out, who's hot and who's not, who's got the most following on Instagram, Facebook. All that stuff is not important if we're spending time using it, building kingdoms to ourselves. We should be building a unified front so that we can be a destructive force to the enemy. We gotta learn to harness our numbers, man. so that we can be helpers one to another. Iron sharpens iron. Glory to the Name. We are family. We're the family of God, and we got to learn how to work together so we can release an anointing that cannot be denied. Glory to God. And we got to eliminate the competition. Listen, I love all my brothers in the city of Atlanta. I, I respect every one of them for what they're doing. Glory to the Name of God. And I'm not in competition with not one one of them. I love Bishop Dale Brunner. I love E. Dewey Smith. I love Jamal Bryant. I love the preachers in our city. Glory to the name of God. All of them, all the ones I know and the ones I don't know. Glory to God. And I'm praying for all of their works. The reality is we have to learn to not be sectarian. We have to learn to come together. And if I can pull something from Dale Brunner, if he knows something I do not know about growing a strong church, local church, did I need to sit at his feet and learn that? If— oh my God, if— oh God, are y'all hearing this? This is a weakness when we don't learn how to do this. Glory to God. I gotta move, I gotta move. So what about opportunities? Here's the first opportunity. The world is in a crisis. There's hatred in the, in the streets. There are riots, there's looting, there's police officers is killing black men. Listen, we have an opportunity like never before to display the power of God, to see the love of God work in a very real way. You cannot be a conduit of God's love if you got hatred in your heart. You cannot fight prejudice if you are prejudiced. Oh my God, we got an opportunity, and we gotta use this opportunity to, watch this, what's the opportunity? What do we got opportunity for? Michael Woods? Okay, I'm glad you asked. We have an opportunity to see men saved, to meet— see men born again, to see the power of God create a culture of, oh my God, renewal and reformation where men come back to God. We have an opportunity for reconciliation where men can be reconciled back to God, but we, we got to be as powerful and bold as Peter was on the day of Pentecost and be able to preach the Gospel to the masses in a way that they will embrace Jesus Christ. I said it earlier this week, this world doesn't need a riot. It doesn't need another protest. It doesn't need another march. You can get mad at me all you want. What this world needs is the power of the living God. What this world needs is some preachers who move in power to take advantage of this opportunity and begin to declare that Jesus is the is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. This world doesn't need an onslaught. We don't need to be burning police cars, glory to the name of God, and marching with picket signs. We have seen from history how little effect that has had. This world needs power from on high, and I'm here to tell you the power is real and the power still exists, and we gotta preach Oh God, we got to be instant in season. We got to be instant out of season. We got to preach it when they turn a deaf ear to it. We got to preach it when they put up their little finger and walk out the door. We got to preach it when they go to the bathroom. We got to preach it when they scroll past it on their timeline. We got to preach it when they don't like it. We got to preach it when they don't share it. We got to declare the gospel of Jesus Christ and declare it as truth. Glory to God. Hallelujah. We got an opportunity to display the anointing so people can get to know God for real. Oh my God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Somebody ought to stop right there and give God praise for the anointing. Right where you are, I dare you just clap your Your hands for about 60 seconds and give God praise and glory for the anointing. God, we thank you for your anointing. We thank you for your power. We thank you for your glory. We thank you, God, that we're winning right now in the name of Jesus. We have an opportunity. I got to pull this in. My time's about gone. I got to pull this in. I got to pull it in, guys. My time's about gone. We have an opportunity. Watch this. Here's another opportunity. Apostles are being recognized. Again, we're doing a SWOT analysis— strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats. So here's another opportunity. Apostles now, in a broad sense, are being recognized. Not as much as they should, because we still got a lot of flaky, fly-by-night puppet prophets and apostles who are not authentic. And at the end of the day, it makes it hard for the authentic voices to emerge. But here's what I want you to understand. There are some people who have been hungry for real government and authority to shift the plane, to, oh my God, to cause an earthquake and a tsunami in the earth spiritually, where structures and systems of religion are being brought down and people are recognizing the authority the authority of the apostle's voice and power to bring that forth. Oh my God, I need you, Lord, right now to help me teach this. We got an opportunity. Why do we have an opportunity, Michael Woods? Watch this. We have the ability— listen to me— to reach the world in our pocket. What are you saying, Michael? You got a phone. And if you're a believer with power, I ain't talking about you just get in front of the phone and you ain't got nothing to say. You ain't prayed, ain't no anointing on your life, you don't have no submission to a pastor, you just running around here, you don't— and if you're a leader with a calling, you ain't even got to cover it, you're out of order. I'll say it again, you're out of order. And again, you ain't got to like it. Matter of fact, if you don't like it, you can scroll past it right now. But at the end of the day, I'm telling you, you cannot be effective if you're moving out of order. But if you're moving in order and you're submissive Authority, guess what? You got the power to change the world in your pocket. You can get on your phone and start declaring the truth of God. Somebody's gonna see it. And I decree and declare right now that the authentic ones, the authentic believers, the authentic priests and apostles and prophets and evangelists and pastors and teachers, that they will emerge and they will begin to take advantage of the opportunity That's before us. My God. Here's our threats. Here's a threat with that same device that's in your pocket. It can also be a threat. Here's a problem. This is a threat. Everybody is a journalist. Oh my God. You know, there's a reason why news outlets require people to go to school 4 years to learn journalism. Now, there are some people that's got a gift for it. And they just know how to do it right. But everything ain't meant to be journalized on social media. Oh boy. Every— this is a threat to the church because we're journalizing things that should be kept in the confines of the house. It's impossible. This stuff is a threat. All of these gossip blogs and gossip talk shows that y'all follow and watching. Y'all love that stuff. But listen, and you know, I don't care if they ever blog about me or say something about me. You know, I learned that one time something happened to me and they was— they wrote an article, was written about me, and I was so distraught, I was so upset that people had things to say. You know, I can give a flying crap about that now. Glory to the name of God. Because at the end of the day, let me tell y'all something. I know— first of all, I stripped the enemy of his artillery, and anything anybody can say. I tell them myself because I'm very transparent. But so here's what I want you to understand: that stuff right there is not fruitful when it comes down to— and some people may say, well, I'm exposing this and I'm just, uh, just sharing the news, I'm just sharing what everybody's already saying. Listen, that stuff is dangerous because there's a non-believer who's looking at that who needs to be saved And ma'am, sir, your blood could possibly be on the— oh my God— your hands. Because if they don't come to Jesus because you exposed the preacher, you exposed the singer, you said something about their weakness, something, a decision they made that probably was wrong. Heck, we all have done it. We've all made mistakes. We've all dropped the ball. We've all blundered. We've all done things we're not proud of. But thank Thank God for his grace and mercy. But some things are not meant to be journalized because it stamples the anointing. It strangles the anointing that needs to be released. Oh my God. Lord, help me today. Please, please help me today. That's a threat, y'all. I love all my brothers and sisters, even those that's doing that and feel like they got a good reason to do it. I don't hate none of them. But what I need us to understand, there's a way to do anything. And what we don't need to do is hurt the whole cause by putting things out in public that need to be dealt with in private. Oh my God, oh my God. So that's a threat. Some, some things we— there's some people that write stuff that are not theologically sound. There are people that are preaching on Facebook Live and they don't even know how to handle. Me and Apostle Stuart was talking today. There's so many people out here that don't know how to handle the text. So they, they preach what they heard on YouTube. They preach, glory to the name of God, what they heard on somebody else's Facebook Live, or they preach what they saw on TV, or it was in their VCR tape library, and they don't know how to properly engage their text so the anointing is released when they Oh God, we got a problem, y'all. That's a threat. Let me move on. Here's another threat. We got a lack of consecration. Nobody wants to spend time in prayer. Nobody wants to spend time with God. That's a problem. A lack of consecration is an issue that we need to deal with. Oh my God, oh my God. You can't present yourself under the— and say you are under the auspices of the anointing if you don't spend time. The anointing comes out of consecration, a time with God where you're broken in His presence because you're so in awe by His awesomeness and His ability to be God, and He anoints you out of that experience. Hallelujah! We got to— and sometimes it takes pain to break us to consecration. But when the pain is over, most people stop consecrating. You need to consecrate every day so you can stay anointed. We need an anointing for the now. It's a threat. We got a bubblegum church. I talked about this yesterday with no power. It couldn't heal a flea with a headache. Have no authority over sickness, no authority over disease. The devil is a liar. God wants us to move in a consecrate— with, watch this, with a heavy consecration and a deep anointing. And I'm talking— I'm not talking about a deep anointing where we sound deep and we speak deep. I'm talking about anointing that goes deep in the depths of my soul, that living water flows out of us, that we bring about change to people we come in contact with. It's a threat when we're not consecrated. It's a threat when you read to preach. It is. It's a threat. Glory to God. When you read books to preach, or you preaching from your iPad and you got a book in the iPad You ain't even studied. You ain't even made a hermeneutical or homiletical pontification to the text so that you can articulate it with sense. Do you know the word, watch this, word in Greek, there are two words. One is rhema, which is revelation, which is, rhema is the thought process of God, watch this, made clear. It's revelation made clear. Logiskos is logic. That's the other word for word. That's the expression of rhema. So you should be able to express it with intelligence and understanding. Glory to God. I got to go. I got to go. I got to go. We got to get back and we got to deal with our strengths and use them. We got to deal with our weaknesses. We got to seize our opportunities and we got to deal with these threats, man. I got to go. I got to go. Y'all, my time is gone. Y'all come back tomorrow, please. But we need an anointing for now. Let me put my scripture for today on the end. Daniel 4 and verse 17. It says, "The decision is announced by the messengers. The holy ones declare the verdict." Who declares the verdict? The messengers are the prophets. Glory to God. So, we need to be prophetically positioned so that we can announce as messengers of God what God is saying about what's going on on in this hour. We need to be prophetically sound with our ear to God's mouth so that we cannot preach what we feel, what we think sounds good, what's going to make us popular, but we got to announce the decision of what God wants to say to the earth. He says, the holy ones declare the verdict so that the living may know. Watch this. So the holy ones, the ones that are set apart with God, The ones that spend time in consecration, the ones that understand that the King and the Kingdom lives in them, and they've rubbed up against the King, they come and announce the verdict so that the living may know. So that every living person on Earth may know what? That the Most High God, oh my God, is sovereign over all. All the kingdoms. My God. So that's why we declare the message. That's why we declare the verdict. So not for ourselves, not that people can know how great we are, how smart we are, but that the living may know that the Most High God is sovereign over every kingdom. He's over every kingdom. I don't have time to go into it, but he's over the kingdom of politics. He's over the kingdom. Y'all not talking to me here of economics. He's over the kingdom of business. He's over the kingdom of government. He's over the kingdom of entertainment, education, military. He's over every kingdom, so much so that we should begin to propagate it, align with His Word, so that at the end of the day, they will declare, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord." of our God. That's what we aim for. I love you guys. Thank y'all for joining. My time is gone. Let's pray, and then we're going to get out of here. Father, in Jesus' name, I thank you for your word today. I thank you for every person that listened to us today, and I decree and declare that your word went out with power. It went out to bring change. It went out to bring deliverance. And I ask you, dear God, that you will cause this word to land on the good ground of every heart and let Let them reap it in this season now. I release the anointing over our planet, over our cities, God, and I thank you that we have the victory. I pray, God, that you help us to recognize our strengths and use them to your glory. Help us to make our weaknesses, hallelujah, become strengths, and God, help us to seize the opportunity and demolish the threats, and we ask this in Jesus' mighty name. Amen and thank God. If you listen to this message, I'm so glad you did. And you may have said, listen, I want to be anointed. I want to experience the things you're talking about. I want to maximize my strength. I want to walk with God. I want to understand the things of the Spirit. Well, if you listen to this entire message and you're not born again and you, you want to understand it, it starts with receiving Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. So it's really a simple process. The Bible says you have to confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus died and he rose again from the dead. He said if you do that, just that simple, you're saved. Let me pray with you. Would you repeat after me if you're not born again and you say, Michael Woods, I want to be saved. Let's pray. Heavenly Father. Say that. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins. For my sins. I confess I am a sinner. Say, Lord, come into my heart and live in me. Say, Lord, I believe that you died, you rose again on the third day. Say, Lord, I open my door and I invite you in. Fellowship with me. Say, Lord, fill me. With your Spirit, and I receive it now in Jesus' name. Say, today I am saved. I say yes, Lord, to your will and to your plan. In Jesus' name. Amen. And thank God. Listen, if you prayed that prayer with me today, I want you to know you're saved. You're born again. And ain't nothing the devil can do about it. If you did, I want you to go to the link on the screen, rhodachurch.contact, and say, hey, Dr. Woods, I prayed with you today. I gave my life to Jesus Christ. What are my next steps? I want to send you exactly what you need to make— take the next steps to take— I'm sorry, to take the next steps in your walk with God. I love you guys. My time is way gone. Y'all be blessed. Don't forget to tune in tomorrow right here at 12 noon. You're always welcome at the Apostle's Table. Peace.
