The Apostles Table | Patience, Part B | Apostle Mike Woods, Sr. | 18.JAN.2021

Apostle Mike Woods Sr. teaches that patience is essential to receiving God's promises, contrasting Moses, who waited faithfully, with Esau, who impulsively sold his birthright. Woods warns that impatience in marriage, ministry, and social media costs believers their blessings, drawing on his 31 years of ministry experience.

Well, praise the Lord, and yes, welcome to today's edition of The Apostle's Table. I am Dr. Mike Woods. For those of you who are uninitiated And I'm so happy that you decided to join us today. Listen, I'm not going to be long, but I'm always super excited to teach and share the word of the Lord with you. Now, on today, I want to continue a series. Um, matter of fact, really, I'm teaching a series at the church on Sundays and Thursdays entitled 7 Keys to Amazing. I've already covered key number 1, forgetting, and on yesterday I began speak about, um, the key called patience, and I didn't get finished. So today I'm gonna revisit that because I think it's so very important that if we are going to see a manifestation of God's amazing promises and authority in our life, we really got to be patient, and we gotta kick the spirit of impatience in the wrong and make up our mind we're gonna choose to wait patiently on God to do what he's called us to do. And we understand that waiting on God ain't just being still doing nothing. We talked about that yesterday. So let's pray and then I'm gonna dive right into the heart of this today. Thank you for joining us. Please like this, please share, and please comment below. Let us know you're here. I'm so appreciative that you guys watch. A lot of people bounce in and out, people watch the replay. But please say something and just let us know you're here. You know, I believe this word that we're teaching on a day-to-day basis is really equipping a lot of people and it's blessing a lot of people. But the only way that you can participate in that blessing, you gotta share it. You got to tell somebody about it. You know, the Bible says we're blessed to be a blessing. So please like, comment, share. I appreciate you engaging us that way. Let's pray and then we're going to right into this today. I'm excited to teach. Listen, let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, we're grateful, we're thankful, we love you, God. Thank you for another opportunity to come into the lives of your people and share your word with them. We do not take this for granted, God. So I pray that every person that's taken the time to listen to today's teaching, whether by internet or by podcast or by television, however they're watching this message, I decree and declare today today that their life will never be the same. I thank you, God. Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus, for building them up, edifying them, empowering them, educating them under the anointing. And we praise you for it now in Jesus' name. Amen. Well, I'm so glad you're here, and let's dive into the heart of this. Well, first Let me just do a quick review of some of the things I discussed yesterday. One, we, we talked about how, and we, we read in the foundational text in Romans 15:4-6, and what we discovered there is that God gives the gift of power, patience, endurance, and he also supplies encouragement to us as we go through the process that he sets up. And we taught yesterday that the process simply comes to qualify us to keep what God's gonna manifest. See, the reason people gain things— because they get in, they gain things and lose them, they get impatient. This is, this is the reason they gain things and lose them, they get impatient. They run ahead of God. They try and they start working it out themselves, and then they work it out in their flesh and in their carnality without going through the process. And then they're not qualified in character nor integrity to keep what God gives them. And I'm a witness. I've been in ministry for 31 years full-time. And 5 years prior to that, I was in ministry. But at the end of the day, I have made so many mistakes and caused so many delays because I took detours trying to get somewhere where it wasn't time for me to be. And I'm so grateful in my life that I, I've learned how to seek through maturity, go through the processes necessary to receive a promise and keep it. I mean, from having millions of dollars, losing it, from having to work and regain and rebuild those things in my life, from growing an amazing church and losing it all because I was immature. And in many areas, my character and my integrity didn't qualify me to keep where I was at. And by that I mean I was growing, I made mistakes, and I'm probably more honest than you. That I'm willing to admit that I, I had flaws that caused problems. But the quicker you are able to look at your immature areas, fix them. I'm just trying to give you some wisdom so you don't make the mistakes that I made, because I'm telling you, I didn't made them. Now I want to tell you something. The process— and this is what we taught yesterday— is designed so you can win the true life. Life. Hallelujah! That God has for you. We read that in Luke 21:19, that God has a true life for our souls that he wants us to live right here on this earth. And I want to tell you something, it's not some mundane life that's full of lack and sickness and disease and discouragement and depression. That, my friends, is not the life that God has prepared for us. He's prepared a life of super abundance, supernatural supply, health and prosperity. Glory to God. Filled with purpose, power, destiny. Watch this, filled with light, a light that's so magnetic that it draws people to what he has done for us. But you know what has to happen? Listen to me, guys. You have to— oshkia manse, brekora basiata. You have to endure the process through patient endurance. Now, what I want to do today, I want to show you a comparison in scripture, something I find very interesting that these two individuals, uh, glory to God, like night and day when it comes to patience and impatience. Both men who had mandates from God on their life, but one was impatient, one was patient, and the results are totally different. So I want to just really show you the results of impatience and the results of patience by comparing these two men of God. The two men I'm talking about today is Esau and Jake— oh my God, not Jacob, I'm sorry— Esau and Moses. Y'all stay with me. Hallelujah. I'm 51. Glory to God. Esau and Moses. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for bringing things back to my remembrance. I just love him for that. Listen to me. Esau, simple, was patient— impatient, impatient, impatient. Esau was impatient, and I'm gonna show you in scripture how impatient he Moses, on the other hand, was a patient man. Hallelujah! He was a very meek, patient man, even with the people he served. He operated in patience so much that it kept him out of the promised land, and it kept many of them out, because in some areas he went overboard with the patience. But let's look at this. Let's first go to Hebrews. Let's look at Moses, and let's go to Hebrews 24:25. Glory to God. Hebrews 24:25. Ah Lord, I'm gonna teach this a little bit today. Cannot do it. Hebrews 24 and 25. I love the Lord. How about y'all? Hebrews 20. And if you got your Bible, let's go, go with me in your Bibles today. Hebrews 24 24. I'm sorry, not Hebrews 20. Did I say 24? Hebrews 11:24-25. Chapter 11, verse 24 and 25. I told y'all I'm an old man. Watch this. By faith Moses— and now, and by the way, Moses's name in Hebrew means drawn Drown out. And the reason he was called Moses, because he was drawn out. He was sent by— okay, so let's do his story. Uh, because Moses's mother wanted something better for him, she put him in a box. And the transliteration for that word box in the Old Testament Hebrew, it means money case, a coffin basically. It was likened unto his past dying The box separated his past from his future. He went down the Nile, this body of water which is an apostolic body of water representing transition from, watch this, mundane existence into destiny and purpose. So he goes down the Nile in this mummy case. I see many of you because you impatient. His life began with him having to be patient. Here he is, a baby, probably hollering, crying, his mom— separated from his mom. But because he needs to fulfill the purpose of God and be hid in Pharaoh's house, he gets put in a box. He has to get separated from his past, his mundane past, so he can move into a future to fulfill a purpose that only he could fulfill. And many of you, instead of staying in the box while you're floating down to now, moving from transitioning from mundane living, from hallelujah, from meaningless existence into purpose, you bust out of the box and start swimming and start creating your way. That's not how it works. Moses, as a baby, as a child, you got to humble yourself as a baby, as a child. In the sight of God. Let him put you in the now. Let him put you in the money case. Let him kill out of you everything in you that does not belong, so you again will be qualified to keep what he's taking you into. Hear me good when I tell you, he wants to qualify you. So by faith Moses, the drawn-out one. He's drawn out again because now his new mom comes and draws him out of the Nile and hides him in the house of Pharaoh. He grows up as a prince, the Prince of Egypt. See, and what— that's what God will do. God will hide you in the house of your enemy. God— that's a whole nother message. Sometimes he'll hide you in the house so that he can give you the tools and the resources and the wisdom and the insight to to bring deliverance to the people. And that even took patience. Watch this. The more Moses grew, the more he became aware of his assignment. The more he matured, the more he became aware of the God that he was called to serve. See, you miss something when your gift— oh, she amandi asoboku— outruns your maturity. This is for grown folks right here. See, some of you are gifted but you're still a child in the spirit. You have no rank, you have no bars, because you have not gone through the process. You have not— oh, shiama de kuskatai— you have not dealt with— Lord, I love you, I love you, Jesus, I love you— you have not fought battles where you can look back over your shoulder and say, I defeated that demon, I destroyed that devil. And his plan in my life. Oh, that's why you got to go through the process, man. You got to mature, you got to grow up. But watch this, let me read. By faith, Moses, when he was come to years, when he was matured, he refused— watch this— to become the son of Pharaoh's daughter. Now, after a process of time Again, when Moses begins to get clear revelation of who he is, he refuses now to accept an identity that's not him. Some of you, because you've been impatient, uh-oh, and you've landed on something that's possibly making you money, that's possibly made you popular person on social media or whatever. Yeah, I'm so grateful. Yeah, I'm like this. People ask me all the time, they say, "Who would— who—" I'm a comedian guy, so they, they know I love comedians. So people ask me, "Who's a better comedian, Eddie Murphy, Kevin Hart?" Well, in my opinion, Eddie Murphy. In most people of this age's opinion, it's Kevin Hart because Kevin Hart is more popular. And the only reason Kevin Hart is more popular, because he got Instagram, he got Facebook. Eddie Murphy didn't have all that, but yet and still, without Instagram, Facebook, he was, he was able to become this huge, uh, legendary comedian. Now watch this. I've been doing what I've been doing, I've been doing what I'm doing for 31 years. Most of the relationships I have built in ministry— I've been to 4 continents, I've been to 42 states preaching the built those relationships in patience. Watch this, without MySpace, without Facebook, without IG. I'm not the most popular person on the internet, but when I tell you, when I tell you my phone rings every day, somebody trying to get me to do something in ministry or business because I have built these relationships over the process of time. Now, some immature childlike person will look at someone's ministry and say, oh, they're not that popular, they're not effective because they don't have 50,000 followers on Instagram. Listen, followers don't make you effective. I'm telling you right now, at the end of the day, you only need one Stanton Graham. Come on, church. You only need one Oprah. You only need one person to become preoccupied with how you're impacting them, and it changes the whole gambit of how you are able to influence. You can have one person that will out-support 10,000. Take that to the bank. Take that one to the bank, please. Okay, let me move on. But so as you mature, you, you become clear of who you are. Where there's no revelation there's always violation. I'll say it again: where there's no revelation, there's always violation. When people don't know who you are, they will violate you. And watch this, you have to move in a space like Moses here and say, I'm not gonna be recognized. You can't tolerate people who just recognize you. You need people in your corner, people in your circle. You need people in your life as you're building your dream, moving toward your destiny, who you have been revealed to. Listen, I really don't have too much to do with people who just recognize me. I'm nice, I'm friendly, I will communicate, I will love on them, but that's about as far as it's gonna go. Because if I'm not revealed to you, if you don't know who I am in the spirit, if you don't understand my trials, my survival, what I've come through, why I'm still standing, if you don't realize that the devil has has hit me with his best shot and I'm still standing, and my ability to be something for you that you need— y'all not talking— has been qualified through process and patience. I'm slow because you need a revelation of people. Listen, you have revelation of your spouse, you're gonna violate them. You got to know their moods, you gotta know what they like, what they don't like. If you do not know that, you're going to violate them. Where there's no revelation, there's always violation. So Moses here understands, I've been revealed, I know who I am, you can't call me that no more. Listen, atabiki skatalaboso. Stop answering to identities that are not you. Your identity gives you confidence and strength to conquer, to win. Oh, y'all not talking to me here. Oh, let me move, let me move, let me move. Verse 25: Choosing rather to suffer. He said, listen, I know if I leave Pharaoh's house, suffering is connected to this. And this is why many of you will not accept the reality of who you really are, because you don't want to suffer. You don't want the affliction, but do you realize that it— and I'm gonna talk about this tomorrow, how God calls us in the furnace of affliction. That's my message for, for Tuesday. Listen, for the next episode of this podcast, you got to understand the affliction is necessary to qualify you for where you're going. He said, I'd rather suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin, or harmisia in Greek, the pleasures of missing the mark, coming short. Watch this. So the pleasures of sin ain't just fornication, adultery, lying, cussing, stealing. Some of you in sin because you coming short of the glory of God. You coming short of the assignment. You coming short of the standard. You coming short of what God— oh my God— has planned for you. You're living beneath your privilege because you're operating— you coming short because you're impatient, because you want it now and you ain't qualified for it now. Some pastors want 10,000 people in one week. You ain't qualified for 10,000. First of all, you ain't got a building to fit them in. Where you gonna put them if they come? If they show up at your church next Sunday, where are you gonna put 10,000? Come on, come on, tell me, tell me, tell me. You ain't got nowhere to put them because you ain't going through the process to grow and build to get the facilities necessary to put them somewhere. Come on, church. Ah, ah, let's move. He said, I'd rather suffer affliction than enjoy pleasure of missing You know what, the more I think about this, missing it is pleasurable. That's why I grew up in a church that people just get up and testify. We had— you used to have testimony service. You know, you really can't let folk testify now because you don't know what they gonna say. Glory to God. So yeah, we trying to do everything in excellence. So, and everything that people do ain't really a testimony. Glory to God. So sometimes You know, you just can't let that happen. You gotta choose who testify and kind of even monitor what's gonna be said before they say it. Anyway, then the reality is people would get up and testify, say, oh, I thank the Lord for delivering me from a miserable life of sin. Oh, glory! No, sin wasn't miserable. Sin was not miserable. I'm gonna say it again. Sin sin was not miserable. I can think of some sins that'll take your whole check. Yeah, I can think of some sins, glory to God, that'll keep you up all night. Listen, sin had pleasure, and you got to decide that you, instead of operating in pleasure to your flesh and your carnality and appeasing your ego because you want it quick. You need to say, I want to operate in the pleasure mode of God. When, when Jesus was baptized, the only place you'll see the Father audibly speak in the New Testament, one time he said, this is my Son in whom I'm well pleased. He— Jesus lived in the pleasure mode of God. That's our example, not performance. See, when you operate in your flesh, you're operating in the performance mode to please your flesh. So you got to decide, I want to operate in the pleasure mode versus the performance mode. Some of you trying to perform to get likes. You, you, your self-esteem is so low that you check your phone every 5 minutes trying to see who liked your picture, who liked what you said. How many views you got on your life? Listen, that's a problem. You're addicted. If the first thing you check in the morning is Facebook and the last thing you check at night, man, you addicted. You got an addiction and you need deliverance because you, you need people. Watch this. The whole spirit that, that Facebook was born out of, who created it was Mark Zuckerberg, and every other platform basically has been some spin-off of what he's done. Not none of is really original. So here's what you gotta understand: the very spirit that this boy, this billionaire boy, created this platform I'm talking on now was because he had no friends. He wanted to be liked. He wanted a woman, and he was trying to create a way to make relationship without having to come out of his shell. He could hide behind his computer to meet someone. Oh my God, oh my God. It was— it's born out of the spirit of validation. Watch it, because as much as we leverage these platforms to do good, they can also— oh God— be terribly bad to us. So we understand— ah Lord, I'm teaching better. Y'all say Amen. We understand then that Moses preferred— it was his preference to suffer hardship rather than to have the fleeting enjoyment of sin, of missing the mark, because the pleasure of sin comes and goes. Oh my, y'all not talking to me here. It's pleasing. What sin— watch this— will make you pay more than you want to pay. Sin will make you stay longer than you want to stay. And you got to make up in your mind that you're gonna enjoy what God— watch this— the true life, the true purpose, the true destiny, the true passion that God has for you. I'm almost done, y'all. So those who are willing to suffer— watch this— and go through, it's an indication that you are finished. Oh, here we go, y'all ain't gonna like me today. That you are finished with intentional sin. Oh. I'm gonna say that again, that you are finished. Come on, church, in here with intentional sin. Wait a minute, y'all don't believe? Let's go to the Bible. Let's go to 1 Peter 4. 1 Peter 4, because y'all don't believe. I have to give y'all Bible. 1 Peter 4. I'm glad though. 1 Peter 4, verses 1 and 2. Let's read it. For, forasmuch then— I'm reading out of King James— as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, watch this, arm yourself likewise with the same mind. For he that suffered in the flesh, uh-oh, has ceased from sin. Ceased, ceased. Come on, church. Ceased. That is in the Bible. Ceased. Restraint. Stopped. The Greek word is pauo, P-A-U-O, pauo, which means you have ceased, you have stopped. Sin is something you no longer do because you endure the suffering of sacrificing. Oh my God, you don't want to miss the mark. You don't want to displease. You don't want to bring displeasure to God. You work to do what pleases— that's why I said you're, you're done with intentional sin. Let me keep reading. Verse 2: that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lust of men, but to the will of God. I just said all that before I even read this, really. 1 Peter 4, verses 1 and 2. You don't want to spend your time fulfilling the lust of the flesh so you can bring pleasure to you, and so men can like you, and you could feel like you liked by men. But really, you should be living for the audience of one. You should be living for God. Oh my God, you should be living for the audience of one, one, one God. And you need to make up your mind. I don't care what somebody— listen, I always say, you and nobody else ain't got to like me. I'm so happy in him. I want you to like me, I want you to love me, I love you. But if you don't, I'm not losing no sleep, I promise you, right? I'm— listen, I'm telling you right now, I ain't losing one ounce of sleep over you not liking Michael Woods because I live for the audience of one. I live for his good pleasure. I live to please him. Now, there was a time in my life that everything I did, how I dressed, how I talked— oh my God, everything I did, I wanted to get approval of people. That's why I could teach y'all this, because I was there. But I missed so much. Watch this. And I caused so many delays on some stuff. Because I was trying to make sure people like me. I mean, I would preach and God would use me, and instead of me, you know, being— I was grateful to God, don't get it wrong, and I was, and I would thank him, but I was always concerned. Did y'all enjoy it? How was it? Did the message bless you? Then I, I needed that. About now, I don't care whether you enjoyed it or not. I just want you to get I want you to take what you hear and apply it. I'm not really here to be your friend. I'm here to get you where God wants to take you. Oh my God. Oh my God. Okay, 1 Peter 4, we read that. Okay, let's keep moving, let's keep moving, let's keep moving. Let's go to Genesis 25 and let's look at Esau, because Esau Saul was too important in this text we're gonna read to wait for dinner. He didn't want to suffer, and that thing cost him. Let's read it. Genesis 20. So we saw Moses, all right? Moses was patient. Moses, so patient, he matured, got a revelation of his identity, and he only wanted what God See, patient people want what God wants. Impatient people want what they want when they want it. And here's Esau, he's going to show us this. Genesis 25, first book of the Bible. Come on, Bible readers, go with me. Hallelujah. Y'all like the Bible? Y'all want me to entertain y'all? I want— I'm gonna teach you, I'm not gonna entertain you. There's a whole lot of other stuff out here to do that. So y'all go get some entertainment after I'm gonna teach you, because I want you to be patient, go through the process, and get every single thing in the true life for your soul that God has for you. Genesis 25, let's look at verse 29. Hallelujah! Oh, Shemai, I give you the praise, God. I give you all the glory. And Jacob sought pottage. And Esau came from the field, and he was faint. So Esau's been out working. Jacob has the pottage. Esau is tired. Verse 30: And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage, for I am faint. Therefore his name called Edom. Now watch this, watch this. Idom. Uh, this is why. So his name is Esau. Let's just look at these two derivatives. Esau's name— and his name means hairy. He was a hairy dude, all right? He had a bunch of hair all over his body, all right? Now, but because he wants this red cabbage— idom, that's what idom means— red cabbage. He becomes now identified— watch this— by his act of impatience. Oh, you don't want people to look at the fruit of your life and see— I remember, watch this, watch this— and I, I was talking to Apostle Cornelius about this, really, when he was my son in the ministry in Jackson. Jackson. And we got invited during that time. I was— when our church in Jackson had grew phenomenally, we was on billboards, we was on television, covered the whole state of Mississippi. And, um, you know, God was doing, doing some great things, but a lot of things, again, I wasn't ready for. I just did things because I knew how to do them, but I wasn't at a level of maturity to keep me in certain places. And one thing I did know, so we got invited back then— I've been to TBN a couple of times, but we got invited back then to go to TBN, all right? And, uh, I said— I got with Brandon and a couple other people. I said, you know what, this invitation— a couple of leaders in the church, my wife at the time, you know, it's good and it would be helpful, but I'm not ready. I said, I'm not ready. I, I don't want to get this exposure to the world, and I know I'm not ready. I can go on there and look the part, I can say the right things, but the oil that is necessary to sustain me afterwards, I'm not there yet. And this has been proven by a lot of people that weren't ready. A lot of your most A couple of people went on there and they were not ready. I did not do it because I knew what was happening in me. Listen, you don't want to be identified by your acts of impatience and immaturity. Well, I'm teaching better than y'all saying amen. You ought to type something on the screen. You ought to say, man, ouch, stop it, don't hit me like that, Apostle. Type some hearts, say I love you anyway, something. Lord have mercy. But verse 31, and Jacob said, sell me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, behold, I'm at the point to die, and what profit shall this birthright do to me? So Jacob had been working so, so Esau had been working so hard, he about to die. He said, look, I want to eat. He's impatient. He couldn't wait to dinner time. Jacob said, Swindle him. Swear to me this day. And he swore to him, and he sold his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and a porridge of lentils, and he did eat and drink, and he rose up and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. That's heavy. Again, Esau was too impatient to wait for dinner. I'm gonna say it again, he was too impatient to wait for dinner. Dinner is a time of nourishment, it's a time of feeding, it's a time of being served. Are you hearing me? And being replenished. Some of you so impatient you won't even wait to be replenished, to served, to get the nourishment you need so you can do the work, and you sell your birthright because you're not ready. Lord have mercy, Jesus. Oh boy, this is crazy. Many people in the body of Christ— watch this— have lost their God-given inheritance because they sold their birthright. They sold the original authenticity, the original assignment, the original purpose for which they were created and brought into the earth. They sold out. Oh my God, to be popular, they sold their soul. To be known. And their original birthright— I can just start naming names, but I'm not. A lot of these guys still out here, they sold their birthright. It's a sad occasion. And watch this, you don't even have to be in leadership. There are people in the pews that have done it, have sold their birthright to be close to the pastor. Come on, man, what kind of craziness is that? Sold out your assignment to say you connected to a popular person that don't even know you. Oh, that popular person is your covering, but they don't even know you. You can't even get them on the phone if you needed to, and you are under their Episcopal covering. That's a problem. Oh my God, oh my God. Let me move, let me move, let me move. Watch this, let's go deeper. How often do people marry because they're impatient? Oh, it's better to marry than to burn. I'm gonna get married because I'm burning. That's what they used to say in the old church. Then you marry, you want to burn them up, set them on fire. You was on fire, but you get married, you married the wrong person. You married that joker that go to bed looking like Billy Dee and wake up looking like E.T. And you will say, E.T., phone home, go home, do something. Because you was impatient. You married him because he looked good, married him because he dressed good, could quote scripture. But you didn't discern his heart. You didn't get counseling. You didn't get prophetic insight about him. Them. So you ended up marrying somebody that's going upside your head. Now come on, man, come on. But that, that's because you are impatient. Most single people think they're operating at 70% joy. If I could just get me a husband, if I can get me a wife, dog, I'm gonna be all right. No, it's some married folk looking at you saying, if I could just drop this dud that I'm with it and be single again. And then listen, that's why you got to be patient. I'm so grateful the marriage I am in now, but I was patient. I didn't care who wanted me. And listen, I can go down the list, oh my God, of women that had interest, and some I had interest in. But in the day, I was patient because as I discern the heart, discern the spirit, I am not saying they were bad they just wasn't right for me. But in patience, I got what was right for me. And I'm gonna tell you something, get out of hurry, man. Don't marry somebody the first pair of pants that propose. Come on, man. And you listen, you better have lengthy conversation because you listen to me You don't know what you're getting. So you mess around and you don't have a lengthy conversation with these women. Now you get married and because you don't know what you're getting, you're getting a honeymoon room because you're moving impatient, don't know what you're getting. You're getting that honeymoon room, they go to taking out eyes, they take off lips, they take out teeth. They take off hair. Oh, y'all are talking. They break off their leg. And by now you running, they hop around the bed, tell me, don't let me catch you, because you don't know what you was going— you were getting. You better, you better check. If you don't like— if you want long hair for real, you better check that, make sure. But if you can tolerate weave, great. Listen, let me tell you something, just don't be impatient. Take your time. I tell these young preachers, they're in a hurry. I'm like, where you going? And what, what are you, what are you gonna do when you get there? You don't even have the grace. Your grace is here, but you're running over here. You, you way over here and your grace is way over here. You've got to always have the grace to be where you are. And if you, if you run ahead of your grace and grace is developed through patience and process. Boy, I'm teaching! Lord, let me cash out myself. Jesus, somebody ought to give right now because the scripture said if I communicate to you spiritual things, you ought to communicate natural things. Not to me, give it to the church. You can, you can cash out right at church right now because you— I'm trying to help you understand Even if you get it without the grace, without the process, without being patient, you're not gonna be happy and you're not gonna be able to keep it. That's a marriage, that's a business, that's a church. You gotta go through the process. My God, watch this. Not only do people get in a hurry and get married and marry the wrong thing. There are some people that are married to the right person. Here it is, married to the right person, but they give that person up because they're too impatient to wait for their change to come. Oh my God, how many people have lost a good man because you were too impatient to wait for his change to come. He, you, he was the same good man you saw and discerned when you married him. He just had some problems. He made some mistakes. As I always say, when people get married, man, 4 people go home and get into bed. Let me tell you who they are. It's the actual man, the actual woman, Then you have the woman's concept of what she wants the man to be. Then you have the man's concept of what he wants the woman to be. And at the end of the day, you can't have 4 people in a marriage. You only have 2 that become one. And so you can't marry a concept. You gotta marry that person. And that's why you gotta have a lengthy conversation, discern who they are, and have the patience to go through the process to help them mature and get— because watch this, you mess around and went and got somebody worse than your ultimate man you were with. You, you left him and now you're in a worse situation. I know somebody right now, I don't call no name, I'm not gonna call no name, but this person had a good man. I know the man was a good man. I know the man, great man. had some issues, had some problems, made some mistakes, repented, got himself together, start working on him, start trying to reconcile his marriage. Woman too impatient to go through the process, divorces him. Y'all not helping. Y'all not here today. Divorces him, go and get somebody worse. Now she's engaged with a man that she is head over heels for. But watch this, he don't like girls. She just gonna be a trophy. Oh my God, he on the down low. Dude is gay. He really ain't that down low neither, cuz you can see the effeminacy all over him. And he, listen, I discern, I look, that dude is a homosexual. And I'm not saying I don't love homosexuals, so the homosexual people get a hold of this video and say, oh, he, he gay bashing. I don't gay bash. I love all humans, but I am going to tell you the truth. Just like I can't be a hoe and have 5 wives because I live by the Bible— you can choose to live by the Bible or not— you can't be a homosexual or a lesbian. The Bible don't give you that right. If I can't be a hoe, you can't be gay, period. So let's leave that right there. But what I'm saying to you is you done jumped out the skillet into a boiling pot that's far hotter, far worse than where you were, because you were too impatient to let this person get themselves together. You didn't even believe the prayers you were praying. You praying for this man, crying for this man, and then you don't give God time to work through the process, and now the Man's awesome. He's— watch this— he wealthy. He, he was struggling in his finances back then, but he wealthy now. Oh my God, he got a beautiful house, beautiful cars, and he got a new wife that's bad. Y'all ain't got to say nothing to me. You— so you got to be patient, and you mess around and give up something, you don't give away your inheritance, your blessing, because you're too impatient. My time gone, y'all. I gotta go, I gotta go today. I love y'all so much. I don't talk way longer. Listen, let's pray. Hallelujah. Let's pray for your patience. Let's pray that you're not like Esau, but you're like Moses, and you are not willing to endure the pleasures of sin for a season, but you'll rather suffer with God so you can see the will of God manifest in your life. And can I tell you something? Get ready, the will of God is about to emerge in you. Can you stand the process? Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, I thank you for this word today. I thank you for every listener. I thank you for every person that put their ear to this teaching. And I pray, God, that no one under the sound of my voice will be like Esau law. But every person under the sound of my voice will be like Moses, and they will operate in a level of patience that they're willing to endure, go through the process, whatever it takes to see the manifestation of your promises in their life. And Father, we give you the praise for it, we give you the glory for it, we give you the honor for it, and we We thank you that what's to come is indeed better than what has been. Thank you for a generation of patient people who will not get in a hurry and sell their birthright, their assignment, their purpose, your plan for them, your true life. That's our birthright, the true life you planned for us. We will not sell it, God. We'll trust you and we'll wait on you. In Jesus' name, amen. And thank God.
