The Apostles Table | The God of Plenty, Part 9: HIS RICHES IN GLORY | Dr. Mike Woods Sr | 7-31-2020

In this livestream sermon, Dr. Michael Lyris Woods Sr. continues his “God of Plenty” series, focusing on the biblical teaching that God is the source of all provision and that He blesses believers according to His limitless riches. He opens with a high‑energy invitation to share the message, then grounds his claim in several key scriptures—Philippians 4:19, Matthew 6:11, Haggai 2:8, and Ephesians 3:8—explaining that God supplies every need “liberally” and “in accordance with” His wealth. Woods challenges listeners who rely on their own effort, jobs, tithes, or other people for provision, urging them to trust God alone. He links creativity and innovation to the Holy Spirit’s gifts, arguing that these gifts unlock divine wealth and enable believers to receive “more than enough.” The sermon includes repeated declarations, prayers, and a call to worship, followed by a clear invitation to accept Christ, repent, and contact the ministry for further discipleship. Throughout, Woods emphasizes that God’s riches are beyond human comprehension and that believers must align their faith with that reality to experience supernatural provision.

I promise you, this livestream contains the truth, and if you apply it to your life, it will indeed set you free. I want to jump right into what we're gonna discuss today. Let's pray, and then we're gonna jump right into the word. I'm really excited to teach this, and I want you to stay with me. And listen, while you are coming in now, I need you to share this. Amen. While I'm teaching, I want you to share, share, share, share, because this word is so necessary. People really need to hear it. So let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, we thank you for another opportunity, God, to teach your word. We praise you for life itself, for Father, it's in you we live and move and have our being. We're nothing, we're nothing without you, but through you we can do all things. So Father, we thank you for what's to come, and we decree and declare now that what's to come is better than what has been. Father, we praise you that we stand victorious. Yes, Lord, we're victorious over the enemy, and we declare today that no weapon formed against us will ever be able to prosper. Father, we thank you for your goodness, your mercy, your grace, your kindness, and your favor. Father, let us experience today the light, the illumination, and the Intelligence of the Holy Spirit. I yield to you today, God. Have your way in me, and I praise you for it now in Jesus' name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Well, hallelujah, and God bless you again. Listen, welcome to the Apostle's Table again. If you're just joining us, please share this live stream. Uh, the Bible says we are blessed to be a blessing, right? So let's be obedient to that fact. Let's share this word and make sure we're blessing somebody else with it. So today, glory to God, we're continuing— I mean, it seems like this is an everlasting series. Just when I think I can finish this, the Lord shows me something else. Glory to God. And so we're continuing our series today on The God of Plenty. And what I've really been doing in these teachings is sharing with you, you know, a personality trait of God. God is not the God of empty. He's not the God— glory to God— of lack. He literally is loaded. He's the God of Plenty. I dare you, just get that in your spirit. Say this with me. Say, God He is the God of Plenty. Come on, say it again. I want you to get it in your spirit because I want you to be very clear that he is a resource that you can depend on. He is the God of Plenty. Praise God. So today we're going to kind of pick up where we left off. We start talking about the Covenant of Wealth last time, and we kind of closed it out. But I want to make an inference and bridge into an idea that, glory to God, we have a right once again to all that he is and all that he has. And I want to show us how this really looks in scripture, okay? Now I'm gonna tell you right now, some of you are gonna supremely disagree with this teaching. It may even offend some of you, so let me apologize in advance if you become offended. But the only reason you will become offended by what I'm about to share is, number one, you do not believe the word of God. Number two, hear me good, number two, you choose to stay stuck in a reality that's just not real. Because if you're a believer, you have right. And I've already taught this. This is part 9 of this series. So there are 8 other messages that build us to this point. And I'm almost certain there's going to be a part 10 and possibly a part 11. But you got to understand this piece right here, and it pulls all of this together. So stay with me, okay? Because today I'm going to talk about his riches His riches in glory. And I'm going to just really break down one scripture and back it up with some other ones that we quote so much. Watch this. We quote it probably more than any other text in the Bible, but we see very little manifestation of this text in our life. We quote it all the time. We say it all the time. We claim that we believe it. But the reality is we see very little manifestation of this text in our life. Are you hearing me? Glory to God. So today I pray that you stay with me, that you do not leave. So let's go to Philippians 4:19. All right, Philippians 4:19. And we're going to read it first out of the King James Version, because I think it's very important to hear this verse. Glory to God. In a few different translations so that we can understand exactly what the writer is saying. Okay, so Philippians 4:19. Let's go there. Hallelujah. Glory be to God. I feel the Lord. Hallelujah. I feel the Lord. This is going to bless you today. Glory to God. Hallelujah. So let's, let's look at this. Philippians 4:19, King James says, my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus the righteous. Okay, hallelujah. Let's read this. Glory to God. In the NIV, let me just read it in the NIV. All right. Glory to God. NIV says, hallelujah, and my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah. So the, the substratum of this verse, first of all, is my God shall supply all your need. Now, I wonder if a lot of believers apparently believe this is not for them, because when you look around, there are a lot of believers who have needs who are not being met. Again, some of this may be offensive to you, and apologize if it offends you because that's not the intent. The intent is to challenge you to trust God over your flesh, over your ability over your intellect, over your labor. Are you hearing me? To be the source of your supply. So the scripture says, my God shall supply all your needs, not some of them. So that means that, that's, that means I shouldn't be full of needs being met on this side and then lacking needs being met on this side. So that this, this says to me that God wants to supply all of my need on every spectrum of my life. Now let me read this in the Amplified Version, that just that part, my God shall supply all your need. The Amplified Version says, and my God will liberally supply. Wait a minute, so it didn't say he was just going to give you enough to make it. So the transliteration, the idea is this, that he will liberally supply, fill to the full, your every need. Which means you'll never lack a thing as long as you believe this word and put it in application in your life. He says, I'm gonna liberally supply. That also means if I don't have it, I'll make it. That means if what you need doesn't exist, oh boy, that's big right there. God says, he's saying technically, If what you need does not exist, I will create it if you need it, because I'm going to liberally supply, fill to the full, your every need. God wants to give you surplus. He wants to give you way more than enough. Why? Because he's the God of plenty. Oh my God. God, listen to this, is the source of everything that we need. Not people. Listen, I had to learn a long time ago to stop depending on tithes and offerings and people to sustain what God had called me to do. Because guess what? If I depended on that, we'd never do anything. Because most people don't believe— glory to the name of God— how important it is, even in a pandemic, to give your tithe, even in a pandemic, to give your offering. How they don't understand that the economy of heaven is greater than their own personal economy. And so I understand clearly that people are not the source of what I need or what you need to do what you're called to do in the kingdom of God. It's not, watch this, people are not the source of what you need to survive. Your job's not your source. I'm not telling you to run out and quit your job, but I need you to be very clear The job is not your source. God has the ability to make you be so liberally supplied over and above what you make on your job, it will blow your mind. So you gotta trust God for every single thing. And the problem why most of us are hurting, we're broke down, we're tired, we're frustrated, because we've depended on ourself for so long. Because the question becomes, Who's really supplying the need, you or God? Do you have something that you can look at in your life and say, God liberally supplied that? Or are you looking at it and saying, well, I was able to afford that because I got it, because I worked for it. And I'm not saying— I'm not trying to take away work ethic. Everybody needs to work. If a man don't work, he shouldn't eat. I hear that. I'm clear. That's why I work every single day, because work is important. The only place that success comes before work is in the dictionary. I'll say that one more time. The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary. So you gotta work. Here's what I'm saying to you. The energy you need to work on your dreams, the energy you need, glory to the name of God, to fulfill your purpose, it comes from God. God supplies that energy. But he wants to also make you aware that every resource you need, that's why you gotta get some dreams bigger than your paycheck. Oh my God. You need some dreams bigger than your bottom line. You need some dreams bigger than what's on your W-2. Glory to God. So that God can show you and prove to you that he's able to supply everything you need, not people, not your own energy. Are you hearing what I'm saying? God is the source of everything we need, period. Now I'm gonna show you through this text how we assess that. I'm gonna show you in this teaching today how we position ourselves to see the manifestation of this in our lives. Let's go to Matthew 6 and verse number 11. I want to show you something real quick. Say that with me. Say, my God shall supply all my needs. I need you to believe that. Come on, say it one more time. My God shall supply all my need. Oh my God, come on, say it one more time. My God shall supply all my need. Now I need you to rap back like the old preacher and just say, my God shall supply all my need. Glory to God. You ought to give God praise because that's the truth. Now your ability to believe that, is indeed your ability to receive that. Now again, if you're dependent on supply from somewhere else, your sugar daddy, you're dependent on supply from flesh. If you're a preacher, a leader, you're depending on supply from people, you're missing God. While people are supposed to— let me tell you something, let me just say this right here— people are supposed to do what they're supposed to do regarding ministry, but if they don't You understand if God told you to do something, he's going to supply. You know what I discovered? It only take one person to be really preoccupied with what you've— you're called to do. And if you get a dream enough, big enough, God will preoccupy somebody like Oprah, Tyler Perry. He'll preoccupy the right person to your heart's vision so you never have to worry about the supply. Oh my God, Matthew 6:11. I ain't forget. Let's go there. I'm just excited about this. Say it again. Say, my God shall supply all of my need. All of it, not some of it, all of it. Matthew 6:11. Praise God. The Bible says, uh, it says this is, this is a part of the prayer that Jesus was teaching the disciples when he was giving them a model to imitate when praying. And, um, verse 11 says, give us today our daily bread. Just that simple. In other words, the prayer saying we trust God for what we need daily. The, the Passionate Translation of the Bible in Matthew 6:11 says We acknowledge you as our provider of all we need each day. I need you to be clear. God, the Lord Jesus Christ, is the provider of all you need each and every day. Are y'all getting that? I'm gonna say it again. He's the provider of everything you need each and every single day. Wow, that's good to me, man. He's the provider of everything you need every single day. He don't miss a day, he don't miss a beat. So touch yourself one more time and we're gonna move on. Say, my God, my God, Hallelujah. You got to make that thing personal. Say, my God shall supply all my need. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Say it one more time. I'm telling— I'm trying to get this in your spirit because the next time you go to doubt, next time you're living in lack, I want you to look up to heaven and say, God, you said in your word you would supply all of my need. Hallelujah! Glory be to God! So let's pray that really quick right now. Father, in Jesus' name, you said in your word that you would supply all of our need. So I decree and declare right now, Lord, for every person under the sound of my voice, I decree that lack is being eliminated now in the name of Jesus, and the supply Hallelujah! Is being made available to them right now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I call it forth, I say it is so, I bind up lack in the name of Jesus. So be it and it is so in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Glory be to God. You ought to praise God right there for the supply. Hallelujah! Now let's move into the other part of this verse. He says, I'm going to supply all your needs, but watch this, according to— let's stop right there. According to— the word according in Greek is symphaneo, which means in accord or in alignment with. Hallelujah. When something is in symphony or symphaneo, It means that, glory to God, it can be different but aligned. It can be different but one. Oh my God. If you look at a symphony, there are different sections. There is a brass section. There's a percussion session. There's a woodwind section. Oh my God. So at the end of the day, the different sections can play a piece of music in the key of C. And if every person in the symphony is playing their different instrument in C, It makes one sound, one very beautiful melodious sound. What God is saying, I want to supply your needs in symphony. Listen to this, or in covenant proportion, or in covenant correspondence. Oh my God, with what I have. Notice it says according to. God says, I'm not going to bless you out of what I have. I'm gonna bless you according to what I have, in accord, in alignment, as one with what I have. In other words, let me show you how that looks. I can tell you I'm gonna bless you out of what I have and give you a check for $5. I have just given you a blessing out of what I am, not according to. But if I bless you according to what I have, the check is going to be far larger than $5. And God says, I'm going to bless you according, in accord, in oneness with what I have. Well, what does God got? Let's go to Haggai 2:8. Haggai 2:8, minor prophet, Old Testament, says this. It says, the silver is mine. The gold is mine, said the Lord of Hosts. Lemme read that again, 'cause it's just alright to read the Bible. The silver is mine and the gold is mine, says the Lord of Hosts. Wait a minute. So if God is blessing me out of what he has, he can give me a small piece of silver, a little pinch of gold, but he blessing me according to what he has when he says all the silver is mine, All the gold is mine. When he says a cattle on a thousand hills belong to him, wait a minute, he don't need no cattle. So he's saying them cattle he got, they're for us. So he's gonna bless us with out, not out of, but according to his land, according to his cattle, according to his silver, according to his gold. And guess what he just said? All of it is mine. He owns everything. Oh my God, he owns everything, and he's going to bless us according to what he owns. Do y'all, do y'all hear that? Do y'all hear that? Do you get it? I mean, seriously, I mean, again, I told you this was going to offend maybe some of y'all because you want to stay where you are. You want to choose to believe that God smiles upon our lack, and he doesn't. He says, I want to bless you according to what I have. According to what? His riches. The Greek transliteration for the word riches here is his wealth, his money. Look it up, get your Strong's and look up the word riches in Greek, and the transliteration is going to give you wealth money, possessions, abundance, richness, valuables. Hallelujah! God says, I want to bless you according to my wealth, my money, my possessions, my abundance, my richness. Oh my God, let me tell you something. God's wealth and riches is beyond human comprehension. You can't even comprehend what God has. Watch this. You can't even count it. You can't even take inventory of what God owns because he owns everything. His wealth is so massive and so abundant, and any wealth that is experienced on earth— watch this— is because God has shared what he has with those— oh my God— who've learned how to amass it. And strange thing to me is, is that very few people who claim to be his children have learned to assess the wealth that God owns. You know why? Because we— because, watch this— innovation and creativity is a gift from God, just like tongues, just like prophecy. Oh my God, just like worship, just like casting out the devil, just like healing the sick, just like those are gifts I want you to be very clear, creativity and innovation is a gift. Matter of fact, it is a characteristic of the Holy Ghost. We ought to be creative because he lives in us. Why? Why do you say that, Michael Lyris Woods? The Holy Spirit created the heavens and the earth. God created everything. So if he's creative, you ought to be creative if he lives in you. And the problem— money is what you receive, wealth is what happens to you. When you give somebody something they cannot get without you. And the wicked wealth that has been amassed has been amassed in many instances illegal because the innovators tap into familiar spirits. They begin to innovate and create out of familiarity because of their work ethic. Watch this. God honors work. He allows the wealth to be shared because of their innovation, because of what they give to the world. They may bust hell wide open, but they gave the world something that the world was willing to pay for. Some saints are going to go to heaven and never reap the harvest of wealth on earth because they refuse to be innovative. Come on, say this right now. Say, I am a creator because the Holy Spirit lives in me. Abba, brish kelede bekunda bahai. Come on, say that again. Say, I am a creator because the Holy Spirit lives in me. I dare you to decree that out of your mouth one more time. Say, I am a creator. Oh, glory! Because the Holy Spirit lives in me. Come on, say it again. Say, I'm a creator because the Holy Spirit lives in me. And some people will remain stuck and broke because they will not go into the innovation part of them. You can go to church, speak in tongues, blow bubbles, have holy hands, and pockets be empty. Again, I apologize if this offends you. I'm trying to get you to understand that there's more available to you, and it's, and it's so much. Oh my God, it's so vast, it's limitless if we learn how to tap into it. I thank God I'm finally learning how to tap into what God has beyond my own abilities. I could just be transparent with you. So much of my life I was trusting in my own gifting, my own ability to start a business, my own ability to preach, my own ability to, to be gifted and be talented and make things happen for me. But you know what? I'm learning to lean like never before on Jesus Christ because he is my provider, point blank period. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. And guess what? He'll take good care of us if we trust him. He'll give us ideas that no man have if we trust him. He'll open doors that no man can open if we trust him. He'll give us favor with people and in places— oh God— that we never thought we have favor in if we choose to trust him. Oh my God, it's according to his riches, his wealth, his money, his possessions, his abundance, his riches, his valuable bestowments. That's how he rolls. People can go out and buy a car and get arrogant because they got a S550 or S600, a Maybach or a Bentley or a Range Rover. Come on, man, God's wealth is so much more vast than that. Listen, I was in Vegas, my wife and I was in Vegas, and we were staying in a suite of one of the finest hotels in Vegas, and I was sitting in that room. And I was like, you know what, if these people, for the purposes of wickedness— Lord have mercy— can build— oh my God— a $60 million hotel, what could we do in the kingdom if we tapped into God's heavenly storehouse and trusted him, how much more would our Daddy give to us? I'm telling you, and the Father said to me, he said, son, it's limitless. I just need you to not put limits on what I bring to your mind, not put limits on what I've called you to do. And I'm saying this to you watching me today: stop putting limits on what God can do. See, when you go to do something, here's your problem. You're looking at your bank account and not God's. I'm gonna tell you right now, stop counting your money. Stop counting your money when it comes to something God is telling you to do and start counting God's money. His bank is limitless. His accounts are never overdrawn. Oh, glory to God. His cupboards are full. His vats are full. And he wants to fill your barns with plenty because he is the God of plenty. Lord have mercy. Ephesians 3:8, in the Amplified Version, let me read this. According to his riches, according to his riches, not according to your riches, according to his riches, according to his riches. I'm gonna say it again, according to his riches. Hallelujah. I ain't gonna get to the rest of this today. I'm gonna read this scripture, I'm gonna be done. Hallelujah. He says Ephesians 3:8, to me, though I am the very least of all saints, hear this, this grace was granted and graciously entrusted, hear this, to proclaim to the Gentiles the unending, boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless the unending riches of Christ, wealth which no human being could have searched out. Oh my God, his riches, his riches, and he wants to give it to the very least of us. Oh my God, you just got to open your heart to receive that. Not according to your riches, his riches, his wealth, his money, his possessions, his abundance, his valuable bestow me. His riches again are beyond natural comprehension according to Ephesians 3:8. He wants to graciously entrust you, hallelujah, to declare. And how can we really declare it if we're not experiencing it? I dare you, lift your hands right now, and I'm closing, and say, Lord, help me to experience it. Say, Father, in the name of Jesus, I want to experience your riches in glory. Say, Father, give them to me now, and I receive them in Jesus' name. Say, God, give me the incalculable, phantomless, powerful wealth that you have given me through Christ. Say, Father, in the name of Jesus, make me an innovator. Say, I am creative. Say it again. Yeah. Say, I am creative because the Holy Spirit lives in me. In Jesus' name. Amen. And thank God. Listen, right where you are, I need you to begin to worship the Father. I'm closing, but I need you to worship the Father for what he's getting ready to do in your life. And I'm telling you, he's about to blow your mind. He's about to do something that you thought could never, ever be done. I dare you to give him praise and glory for it right now in the name of Jesus. My God, I'm closing my Bible. Listen, I'll finish this up on Monday, but I'm so glad that you tuned into the podcast today. I'm so glad that you tuned into this live stream on this Friday. I pray in the name of Jesus that your life will never be the same. Take the principles that you've heard and apply them. Listen, by chance, perhaps you've been listening to me today by replay or live and you're not born again. Don't you dare scroll past this video if you do not know the God of Plenty. This This is God, the Lord Jesus Christ, that I'm preaching and teaching about today. And you want— you say, Dr. Mike Woods, I want to know him and the free pardon of my sin. Listen, I want to pray for you. Glory to God. I want to pray that you will receive Jesus Christ into your life. It's really simple. The Bible says first you have to confess with your mouth. Secondly, then believe what you confess in your heart, that Jesus died I know it's a hard task, but you can do it by faith, and that he rose again. Because I'm telling you right now, not only do I believe it because it was preached and taught to me, but I believe it because Jesus is now resurrected in my life, and he actually for real lives in me. He's alive. He walks with me. He talks with me, and every day he He tells me I am his own. Listen, if you want to be born again, it's just that simple. Repent of your sin and invite Jesus to be your Lord. If you want to pray with me, I want you to pray right now. Come on, stretch your hands towards your phone, your tablet, your TV, and repeat these words with me. Say, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, say, I repent of my sins and I thank Lord, for your forgiveness now. Say, Father, I believe that you died and you rose again. So I open my heart and I invite you in my life. Say, come in, Jesus, save me. I want to be saved. In Jesus' name, amen. And thank God. Listen, if you said that prayer right now at this this moment, you're born again. And there are some vital steps to your salvation I want to help you through. So you've done the first part. So I want you to write me at the website on the screen, rodderchurch.com/contact, and say, hey, I prayed with Dr. Woods today and I need more information about my walk with God. And I'm going to send you everything you need to get started on this journey. Listen guys, my time is purely gone. But I'm so grateful every day I get to share with you. Thank you for joining us. Listen, share this message, and remember, share the word with a friend. And you're always welcome at the Apostle's Table. God bless you. Peace.
