"The Character of a King, Part 1" | Dr. Mike Woods Sr | 12 Noon |40 Days of Infallible Proof- Day 1

In this opening sermon of the 40‑day series “Infallible Proof,” Apostle Mike Woods explains the biblical foundation for the series and outlines the first set of kingdom principles centered on the nature of a king. He defines “infallible proof” as the irrefutable evidence of Jesus’ resurrection (tekmerion) and uses it to establish the reality of the Kingdom (basileia). Woods then enumerates seven core characteristics of a king—born into power, a birthright, lifelong rule, absolute authority, the king’s word as law, total ownership of the domain, and unchangeable decrees—contrasting the king with democratic leaders and dictators. Throughout, he stresses that Jesus is the King of Kings, whose authority governs all aspects of life, including finances (commonwealth). The sermon concludes with a call to join the 40‑day program, share the teaching, and apply the king’s principles to experience supernatural provision.

Well, grace and peace, everybody. This is Apostle Mike Woods. Welcome to our 12 noon teaching, Inside of 40 Days of Infallible Proof. And listen, I don't know about you, my expectancy is high. Day 1 has started out to be truly amazing, guys. 5 o'clock prayer was supernatural, to say the least. What a prophetic springboard the Holy Spirit gave us this morning into the future he has planned for us, not just in these 40 days, but even beyond these 40 days. And I'm super excited. Listen, do me a favor right now. Share this teaching with someone. Tag someone in the comments. Share it in Messenger. If you're on YouTube, share the link, tweet it out, whatever you got to do. Make sure you be a blessing to someone. This is day 1 of our 12 noon teaching, and today For the next 8 days, actually, we're going to be discussing some kingdom principles that are necessary to establishing commonwealth. And commonwealth is a principle of the kingdom regarding our finances. And I told you that we're going to have discussions over the next 40 days regarding our faith, our finances, our family, and even our spiritual foundations. So I want to get into this one early because people don't like to talk about money, but at the end of the day, everybody wants money. And in the kingdom, money is a subject that has to be discussed because if you're not careful, money will be the very thing that stresses you out or gets you off focus. So let's start today by reading the foundation text of our 40 Days of Infallible Proof, right? The Bible says, to whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them 40 days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Now let me just break this down. He showed himself alive. This is reality, folks. The Bible is not just another book of archaic writings or historical accounts of events. The Bible is truly a living book. These things happen. It is history or his story. Praise the name of God. And the scripture here is telling us that After Jesus' passion, after his life, his death, his burial, his resurrection, he came and showed himself alive by— watch this— many infallible proofs. Infallible proofs. If you put those two words together, they actually form a Greek compound word, and I'm going to give you this word called tek, T-E-K, merion, M-E-R-I-O-N. Tekmerion is irrefutable. Listen to me. Evidence. It's evidence that cannot be reversed. It's evidence that has no room for negotiation. It's concrete. Solid evidence. Your fingerprints are on the gun. You're guilty type evidence. Can I tell you something? Jesus showed himself through infallible proofs, undeniable miracles, undeniable signs that he was still alive and that he had come back from the grave with all power in his hands. Glory to God. Oh, hallelujah. And so the Bible says they were seen of— he was seen of them, sorry, 40 days, and he spoke of things pertaining to the kingdom of God. So in these 40 days, he worked miracles, he gave them proof that he was alive, he moved in power. And then he taught them things pertaining to the kingdom of God. The word kingdom in the text is the word basileia, and basileia means royalty. It means royal power, kingship, dominion. And it's actually not to be confused with an actual kingdom, but rather the right and authority to watch this rule over a kingdom or participate in the king's rule. So I want you to understand, as we kick this off talking about kingdom things, because my prayer today and Father, in Jesus' name, let this word superimpose itself upon the listener. And I pray, dear God, that they will not miss one thing, and that the things that pertain to the kingdom will be the things that pertain to their life from this day forward. And I pray that a hunger would stir in them to advance the kingdom. In Jesus' name, amen. So this gives us an idea that God has conferred upon us royal power to operate inside of the premises and decrees and constitutions of the kingdom of God. Well, the ruler of a basilia, or a kingdom, is the king. You can't have a kingdom without a king. And I want to make it clear today that Jesus is our King of Kings. Ooh! And Jesus is our Lord of Lords. And you got to understand something. He's a real king. And so I think before we go any further in this and even before we get deep into Commonwealth, and supernatural provision, it's important that we understand the characteristics of a king. Really, um, I want you to understand first off that a king is distinct from both a democratically elected leader such as the president or prime minister or a nation as well as he's distinct from a dictator. So he's not voted in. You can't vote him out and you didn't vote him in. I don't care how much you disagree with Jesus. He's the king. And when you really get to know him— and that's why if you're not on this 40-day journey, you need to get in it because it's going to help you graduate from religion. Oh, it's going to help you graduate from religion. Yeah. And it's going to cause you to be catapulted. Listen to me. Oh, we into a place of kingdom living that is beyond anything religion can ever offer you. So Jesus cannot be voted in. He's already the king. And the more you walk with him, the more you fall in love with him, the more you learn just how amazing he is as a king. He's distinct from a dictator, okay? He is not trying to be a totalitarian in your life. He wants you to choose him in terms of— once he chooses you, he wants you to choose to follow him, right? Because you cannot choose to be in the kingdom. He chooses you. The Bible says, you have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. So in every kingdom, the king chooses his citizens. We're going to learn a little bit about that today. So he's not trying to be a dictator, totalitarian in your life. He cannot be elected. So I want to give you some characteristics. Let's start. Number 1, a king is never voted into power. His power is inherent from birth. Democratic leaders are elected to power. Totalitarian dictators seize power. They take over. But a king is born into power. So when Jesus came to the earth, he came to the earth as king of the earth. Psalm 47:7 makes that clear, that God is the king of the earth and he should be praised and worshiped with that understanding. So a king is never voted into power. A king, number 2, is a king by birthright. A king is a king. Hear me, by birthright. His kingship is not conferred upon him by man. You cannot give him a certificate and make him a king. You cannot crown him. He is again by birthright a king. See, elected leaders and this is the difference, they rule by the will of the people. Shew! Dictators rule through fear and repression and coercion. They're constantly trying to get people to be manipulated into following them. You know some leaders like that now, right? But a king rules because he's born to it. Jesus Christ was born a king. I just want to get this home at the top. We do not make him king. All we can do is acknowledge that he is king. In the comments right now, I just need you to type it so somebody scrolling by see it. Just type it in bold letters: Jesus Christ is king. Type it in bold letters. Jesus Christ is king. Because I want everybody to know that Jesus Christ is king, period. Biden is the president, but Jesus is the king. Glory to God. Number 3, I already said this, but I'm gonna repeat it. A king cannot be voted out of power. See, because the kingdom is by birth— hallelujah— given to a king, the king rules for life. Only way the king stops being a king is he dies. Oh, listen, a president can be voted out of office when his term expires. All right, and then he has to leave if he loses the election. A dictator may be brought down by coup d'état or a popular uprising, but kingship— listen to this— is a lifelong office. A human king may be dethroned by force or revolution, but he can never be voted out. A king reigns by the sovereign right of creation. So what are you saying, Michael Woods? Because of this, I need you to understand, Jesus will always be king. And here it is, I love y'all. He's the king of everything. He controls everything. And many of you just don't know it because you have no relationship with the king. Lucifer tried to dethrone the king, but he failed. Human empires and theology. Oh my God. Have tried to go against God. And when I say theology, uh, human, human secular theology that goes against the knowledge of God have tried to dethrone him and make him just a prophet. But the resurrection alone proves that he can't die. They tried to kill him. They tried to crucify him. And this is why we got to have infallible proof that this guy is alive still and he can't die and he's still the king. And that's what these 40 days are about, presenting to the world the king and them seeing manifested proof in our personal lives, manifested proof through our prayer lives. Manifested proof, glory to the God— name of God, that he is still on the throne and he cannot be dethroned. Listen, there have been many regimes of religion that have tried to challenge his sovereignty. Can I tell you something? He was king before the world began. Whoa. And he's going to be king when the world ends. In fact, the scripture makes a bold declaration in Revelation 11:15, the be clause. Let me read it. It says the kingdom of the world, of the cosmos, the cosmopolitan system, cities and states and territory. The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever. So again, you can't operate in the kingdom and in the kingdom principles that are available to us if we don't accept Jesus as King. You will never see infallible proof in your life until you really accept the reality that he's the king of the world and that he is in control of everything. And he wants to position you in the earth to be his representative to bring full control. So here's what I'm saying. No act of either man on earth or of spiritual powers of darkness through demons can ever remove the King of Heaven from his throne. I dare you to say it: Jesus Christ is King. Whoo! He's King. Number 4, I gotta move because I don't want to hold you long. I promise you I don't. The King's authority is absolute. This is why he's not a president. This is why he's not a prime minister. See, presidents must consult with Congress, the Senate. Uh, the prime minister has to speak to Parliament. And if the president makes a decision or if he wants to enact something in law, he has to get a majority vote from the Congress, from the House of Representatives. Now, he can use his power to try to veto a law, but the normal process— he cannot just make decisions without accountability to those in his cabinet. Those who are a part of his institution of presidency. Wait a minute. But when you're a king, hallelujah, you don't have to discuss your decisions with anyone. Hmm. Dictators, while they— how can I say this— exercise absolute power in a certain way, Okay, they use force that is illegal and controlling and manipulative. They really possess no legitimate authority. This is why they have to use forces, because it's not legitimate. So in order for them to stay in control, they got to keep manipulating, they got to keep using force to get what they want. Um, y'all pray for me, but I— one of my favorite shows is Force. Uh, it's an offshoot of the series on Starz, Power. I like Force. I love Power, but I like Force a lot because it shows you an example of Tommy, who was the character on Power, how he goes to another territory And inside of this drug game that they're running— it's TV, so listen, I just like the conflict and all, and then I get revelations out of this stuff, man. Tommy uses absolute force. One man comes in against cartels of people who are already doing the business he's in. He wants to break into the game in Chicago. But he's doing it by brute force. And what you're learning as the series progresses, in order for him to stay in power and grow in power, he has to continue to use force. If he doesn't use force, he dies. And that's what dictators do. Kings are different. When a king speaks, He speaks with absolute authority, and authority from a king is actually inherent in the kingship. It is expected that whatever the king says, we must listen to. Which brings me to number 5, because the king's authority is absolute. His word— number 5— the king's word is law. Listen, because the king has absolute authority, whatever he speaks is law. No one— hear me— can counter man or go against the king's word. So when the king decrees it, it is honored. And this is what we got to get in the kingdom, that the word of God is law. That when God speaks a word of prophecy, it's law. Oh my God. And when God— listen to that— if God says he wants to give you infallible proof, that's law. That's a kingdom principle. If he says that I want resurrection power to flow in your life, that's a kingdom principle. Woo! That can't be denied if you accept it and receive it. Listen, no one can negate the king's announcements, set aside his decrees, or amend his statues. If the king says it, it is so. Let me, let me show you what David said about this. Psalm 19, verses 7 through 9, and then I'm gonna read verse 11. Hear this, the Bible says the law of the Lord is perfect. Reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure. Oh my God, oh my God. This is how we got to view the King. Enduring forever, Listen, the ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. By them your servant is warned, and keeping them, there is great reward. Wait a minute. So when I accept the word of the King and I keep it and I view it as pure and enduring forever, it's going to give light to my eyes. It's going to give me revelation. It's going to cause me to see what I have not seen. Oh my God. So we're going to see the manifestation of infallible proof when we accept that the law of the King, according to Psalm 19:7, is perfect. It said it revives our soul. It gives us life. Oh my God, I don't have time. But really, the King's word, just hear it. It's law. So if he said it, let's obey it. And the reason many times we do not see the reward is because we lack obedience. Great reward follows obedience. Watch this. Disobedience to the King always brings severe penalties. A lot of the things we deal with and go through is because you, you trust religion and your way of doing things more than you trust God's way of reacting and doing things. Listen, the moment you start following your flesh and being— oh my God— controlled by your own devices, you end up imploding inwardly. Oh my God. And you end up sabotaging your kingdom destiny. Oh my God. And rerouting your life in a way that was never planned for you. Many of you right now that's listening to me, you're on the alternate route. Whoo! And that ain't God's will for you. You're on the alternate route. And God is saying, I want to get you back on track. You got to trust the King's word. That's absolute. You got to let his word be law. Number 6, let's move. I got 14 of these characteristics. I'm gonna actually probably only get to 6 and 7 today, but I promise you at 12 noon we'll pick up 8 through 14 tomorrow, cuz we got to lay this foundation before we get into anything else about the King. So number 6, a king personally owns everything in his domain. That's why even in Western culture— oh my God— we don't understand how things actually operate in monarchies, in kingdoms. In England, the king chooses the citizens because he owns everything and he has to share everything through a commonwealth. And that's a whole nother subject we're going to get into, the Commonwealth, and with supernatural provision and the king's provision. But I want you to understand something: the king owns everything. The earth is the Lord's. And the fullness thereof, them and they that dwell therein. Oh my God. He owns every single thing. Wow. He owns everything in his domain. Listen, presidents and other elected officials, they don't own their countries. They're citizens like everyone else, elected among citizens. Dictators, act like they own everything. You know, some people like that. Yeah, but whatever they possess, they pretty much have acquired it by fraud, by stealing it, or by some kind of moral corruption or manipulation. But a king, he personally owns everything in his territory. In fact, the kingdom is the only form of government where the ruler owns everything, watch this, and everyone. Let's see what David says, let's go. So y'all say, "No, nobody own me. I'm my own person." Yeah, that's your problem right now. That's why you come short of infallible proof in your life, 'cause you think you in control of yourself and you really believe that you own everything, and I'm here to tell you, you don't. Let's look at David. Let's look at what David says about this. Psalm 24:1, I already quoted it. I'mma read it. The earth is the Lord's and everything in it, the world and all who live in it. He owns Everything. Watch this. God himself declares in Psalm 50:10, every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills— I want y'all to remember this— is mine. God says, I own the people, I own the animals, I own the plants, I own the land, I own the air around the land. He even owns the value under the earth. Y'all ain't got to help me. So I'm going somewhere with this because we're going to get into Commonwealth and the King's provision. So you got— this is the foundation. He owns the people, he owns the animals, he owns the plants, he owns the land, he owns the air, he owns the— oh my God, the valuable resources under the earth. The gold, the silver, the platinum, the diamonds, et cetera. Woo! He owns the soil that cultivates the seeds. And watch this— he created the seeds and he also owns the seed. Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho ho! He created the seeds and he also owns the seeds too. A king owns everything in his territory. This is why the king is always referred to as a lord. Lord means owner. You may be rental property and have a landlord, so that he's the landlord because Technically, he physically in the earth realm owns that land that you're renting from him, or that home. Well, think about this: God owns that house too, even though there is a landlord. God is the Lord of Lords because he's the King of the Earth. He owns everything. I dare you type it in the comments: God owns Everything. We coming to a close. Number 7: the king's decree never changes. Somebody type that in the comments. The king's decree never changes. In a democratic system, hear me, laws can be amended, and we see it so much in the United States. The United States was built on the Ten Commandments. The Constitution was written and guided by the Ten Commandments, but now it has evolved through amendments and immorality and flagrant lifestyles that go deliberately violent against the word of the Lord. It is now governed by the styles of Paris and the standards of Hollywood. Problem because they have amended laws to say it's okay for two women to get married. They have amended laws to say it's too okay for two men to get married. Amended laws to say in some states where a man can marry a young girl as young as 15, and they're lobbying for 13. They're lobbying for polygamy, and in some states polygamy is legal where you can have more than one wife. Amended laws have gone away from the constitutional value of the real Constitution, which is the Holy Bible, which has made holiness a thing of the past in the minds of some people. But I want you to understand something. No matter how much they amend the Constitution of the United States of America, I need you to grab this. The decree of the Lord never changes. Dictators even reverse their own decrees. And they do it because it suits them, because dictators are selfish. I keep talking about dictators because we got a lot of them in the world, even in the church, that you got people from pulpits teaching doctrines of devils. The scripture said in the last days there will be a departing of the faith. Many have left the faith, and you can't depart the faith if you're not in it. So they have departed the faith and given heed to seducing spirits. A seducer pulls you in, a conducer pulls you through. I'll say it again, a conducer pulls you in, a conducer pulls you through. So we need conducers to pull us through to God. A seducer pulls you into their deception and what they believe is right. So many will give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils that are being taught from the pulpits of churches. Watch this, to appease the appetites of parishioners so that numbers can be maintained. That's a dangerous piece, man, because they'll even tell you in church growth conferences I've been to all of them, that if you want your church to grow, uh, you, you shouldn't mention the word sin, you shouldn't mention the word lesbian or homosexual or whoremonger or lying. You should speak about things that are in the lives of people outside of the church. Just preach Jesus. Yeah, we're going to preach Jesus, but if we can't preach Jesus without having a discussion about his law, about his decrees Listen, a king's word never changes. And once a king who initiates a law, no matter who you are, even if you think you changed it, you can't change it and you will be held accountable. For this. So you got some crazy people out here in the regime of Carlton Pearson and, um, what's this other lady that, uh, Flunder, uh, Yvette Flunder, and all of these that are running with him these days. You know, I, I've been vocal about this in the past and I'm going to remain vocal about it. I don't care who likes it. The reality is this whole doctrine of inclusion is from the devil. It's a doctrine of devils to appease appetites, to justify fleshly appetites that you can't get under control because you never really were filled with the Holy Ghost. You know, when I think about Carlton, who did a lot of things in the name of the Holy Spirit, sung Holy Ghost songs, says he was filled with the Holy Ghost as a little boy, It's hard for me to believe that because the Bible said once you've been enlightened and have partaken of the heavenly gift, it is impossible for you to turn away. So that tells me his actions, his fruit says to me he never really tasted God. Yeah, share this with him, okay? I don't care how many people he packed out in Azusa. That's not the pressure. Behind closed doors, the man did not have a real taste of God. He was too intelligent for his own good, still too intelligent for his own good. And I pray, because I love him, that he comes back to the fold, because he has a charisma that could really bless people even in his old age. The reality is I pray that even before he dies, he would turn and repent and really taste God, because you can't play with God all them years. Oh boy, I'm out here now, and it's a tragedy to die and never really experience it when you play with it. You play with tongues because you learned it in the church, the institutionalized classical Pentecostal church. But never really having encounters. I can speak this boldly because I've had real encounters with God. In my failures, I've had encounters. I've had real conversations that are twofold. I've seen God's hand move for real in the realm of healing and deliverance. I've seen him do things that were tremendous Oh my God, tremendously impossible for— oh my God— the natural man to perform. I've seen him do it in my own life. I've seen the infallible proof. So I speak this boldly because I believe that if you're following these seducers, you're following a regime that is Oh my God, manipulating you with intelligence. Oh, but manipulating you with strong delusion and carnality and luring you— oh my God— further away from God the true King. Because there's a place beyond what popular masses have dictated. Oh my God. To be the end-all or what you can get inside of a religious experience. There's a depth where you can really tap into God and really know the King for real and really see infallible proof in your life. I took too long with that. Let's look at what Daniel says. Daniel is a faithful, God-fearing Jew who was in exile, and he was a high official in the court of Darius, who was a king. And when Daniel's enemies plotted to destroy him, they persuaded Darius, who was the king— why Watch this. To issue a decree that for 30 days, no prayers, here it is, or petitions were to be raised to any god or anyone else except to the king himself. And watch this, the violators of this would be thrown into a den of lions. Of lions. Listen, this decree in Daniel 6:8 is known as the Law of the Medes and Persians, which may not be revoked. But I love Daniel because he had real relationship with the Lord. He didn't let this decree stop him. As a matter of fact, they caught Daniel praying, and catching Daniel praying was a violation of the king's decree. Because again, whatever the king said— watch this— was law. But Daniel knew the King of Kings. Hallelujah. And watch this, Daniel knew they were going to catch him. But his faith was unwavered. And Daniel's enemies took him to the king Darius, and Darius was trapped. Even he could not revoke his own decree because he loved Daniel. The king, because of this torment, he spent a sleepless night. While Daniel was in the lion's den. He had to uphold the decree. But here's what I know about the King of Kings. His word is higher than any earthly king. And the Bible says the Lord delivered Daniel safely to his— and his enemies ended up with the lions instead. Daniel gets out and the enemy goes in. The point here is, is that a king's decree, once it is issued, it cannot be undone. The decrees of the King of Heaven are just as important or even more important. Let's look at Isaiah 40:8. Here we go. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of the Lord stands forever. Let's look at what Jesus the King said. He says in Matthew 24:35, he says, heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. And I'm closing. Glory to the name of God. And we'll finish this up tomorrow. We— Elisha, Tabaya. But I want you to know that the word of God will stand forever. And God wants to give you infallible proof, evidence that he is real, that the delusionists, the inclusionists, and the seducers are liars, and that he is real, and that his power can heal your sickness, his power can heal your disease. His power can eliminate your debt. His power, oh my God, can raise the dead for real. The King is alive. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, thank you for this word. Thank you for your kingly attributes. And I pray this word will go out with power and authority and it will bring deliverance to those that need deliverance, victory to those that bring— need victory. And Father, I pray that it will bring clarity and understanding, for in all our getting we should get understanding, to every listener about who you are. Let them distinctively understand that you are the King of Kings and you, God, control everything. In Jesus' name, amen, and thanks be to God. Hallelujah. Well, thank you again for joining us.
