The Mystery of Dominion Part 17: Dominion & Gates, Part B | Dr Mike Woods | 15 March 2026

In this evening sermon, Dr. Mike Woods leads the congregation through a high‑energy worship session and a doctrinal teaching series titled “The Mystery of Dominion.” The message focuses on the symbolic “gates” described in Nehemiah— the Sheep Gate, the Fish Gate, and the Old Gate— and explains how each gate represents a specific aspect of God‑given authority and the church’s mission. Woods argues that dominion cannot be exercised without understanding and rebuilding these gates, and he outlines a “metron” (measure) for the church: turning followers into leaders and leaders into agents of dominion. He stresses foundational truths— the blood of Jesus, the new birth, and the Holy Ghost— as non‑negotiable pillars that must be upheld, warning against modern trends that water down sin, hell, and holiness. The sermon interweaves prophetic interpretation (prophetic DNA in the lineage of Nehemiah’s builders), practical exhortations to claim personal power, and a call to pursue spiritual perfection (teleios) through obedience, repentance, and the gifts of the Spirit. The latter part of the service adds an extended intercessory prayer that binds sin, deception, and demonic influence, declares the activation of diverse anointings (prophetic, teaching, apostolic, entrepreneurial, inventor), and urges participants to physically hold each other's hands to “possess the gates.” The congregation is also prompted to give offerings, commit to upcoming leadership training, and spread the message of dominion to new faces, reinforcing community mobilization and outreach. The session ends with declarations of victory over spiritual opposition and a collective affirmation to obey the Spirit’s leading.
Chapters
More of him so when you stand before your Goliath, you don't shake with fear but have more strength in your spirit and more courage in your bones. More of him so when seasons of darkness surround you, you can declare more of his promises over your life. More of his presence filling you. More of his Holy Spirit walking with you. Jesus is calling you to more of him each and every day. So stand up in your spirit, put on the full armor of God, declare with authority that Jesus is more than enough. Speak it over your life, over your family's life, over your future. Make this the declaration that marks the next chapter of your incredible story, that you were made for more.
Put your hands together right there. We were made for more. Hallelujah, hallelujah, glory to God. Hallelujah. Yes, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me. Forevermore.
Yeah, we worship and adore you, Father. We thank you tonight for your goodness, your mercy, your grace toward us. Thank you, Lord, for opportunity to worship you on a Sunday evening. Thank you for the sacrifice of worship and praise. I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord. Thank you, Lord, that we're here and we can receive. So do what you will tonight, God. We give your name the glory. We give your name the praise. It is to you we give glory. It is to you we give honor. You've been so good to us. There is no one else like you, and we bless your name. We bless your name. I dare you take just a few moments to worship him. Rebescatataia! Robeseteteheh! Otande sukutaya! Rebesantetebonsai! Ota mamandedelididiyototo bantsi! Rebamamandelebosotokosaye! Otande databambantatabaiah! Hey, we bless your name Jesus! We bless your name Jesus! We bless your holy name, your holy name. We bless your name, we bless your name, we bless your name. You alone are worthy, Jesus. You alone are worthy, Jesus. You alone are worthy, Jesus. Your name alone is worthy. Your name alone is worthy. Oh, your holy name. We bless your name. We bless your name. We lift your name on high. There is no other name given among men whereby we can be saved, whereby we can be healed, whereby we can be delivered. Whereby we can take dominion and authority and control. Ah, Jesus, we lift up your name, God. Ema sutatabaya, your holy name, God. Hallelujah, hallelujah, we bless your name, Jesus. Yes, Lord, we bless your name. We bless your holy name. We bless your name. Your holy name. Come on, lift your voice. Give him the fruit of your lips. Come on, worshipers! The quality of a service is not determined by the quantity of people in the room. Quantitative value of our experience is all about him. It's all about him. It's all about him. You are God alone. You are God alone. You are God alone. You are God alone. And I worship you. You're always in my heart. Your love is so brand new, wrapped up in your arms. I love my time with you. I bow before your throne, Lord. I worship you, for you are God alone. Shaka taba soto rabakai. You alone are holy. You alone are worthy to be exalted and be lifted up. We worship your holy name, God. We bless your holy name. And Father, tonight as we open your word, and on our ears to hear, God, what the Spirit would say to us. I hear you, Father. I hear you. And I say unto you, my little ones, I have brought you into a season where I am removing the veil. I am lifting the veil, and you shall see like you've never seen. And you shall see the bloodstained banner. You shall see the redemptive value of your life. You will know completely in this season how much I love you. You will not be able to question my love, for I will cause you to see the pain, the suffering. I will cause you to understand what I did for you. Your eyes will behold it in perspective. You will not just know it from what you've learned and what you've been taught and what you heard. But because of where I'm taking you, I want you to be clear of how much I love you. So in this season, I'm opening your eyes to see things about me, saith God, that you've never seen before. You will understand the blood sacrifice, the epicacious vicarious laying down of my life that I gave for you, and I will overwhelm you with who I am. And because of this, your life will enter into a perpetual season of peace. Well, oh, Shiku, a season of peace where you will have the presence of my assistants, and it will bring you joy to know that you are not alone. But I am here to walk with you, and every promise I made to you concerning dominion, you shall fulfill. For I'm with you and I'll never leave you alone. I am your Father, and I love you so dearly and completely. Joyfully-yam. I hold your hand even in this moment. I carry you through every storm, and for the days ahead, I have prepared you. Trust me, trust me, for the doors that you're about to walk to— fear will grip you as I open the door, and you will even question whether or not it is me or not. But no, I say unto you, it is me, and I'm swinging major gates and major doors open for you even now, says the Lord. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah! I need somebody to thank him for the gate swinging open. Come on, shaketa mande kosi. The gates are swinging open. Yeah, the gates are swinging open. Hallelujah! Glory to God, we bless his name. Hallelujah, we bless his name. Shanda, he's a good God, he's a good God. Hallelujah! We bless you. We going to get in this word tonight. Glory to God. Really quickly. Glory to God. I'm thankful to God. Hallelujah for the opportunity to teach his word anytime I get a chance to do it. Glory to God. So tonight we're continuing what we started, uh, this morning. Well, really what we started, uh, 16 messages ago. This tonight is part 17. Glory to of the mystery of dominion. Glory to God. And this is Dominion and Gates Part B. On this morning, just by way of review, glory to God, we went through a few things. And, um, say this with me. Say, gates have power. Say, gates represent authority. Come on, say it like you mean it. Say, gates represent authority. Say this with me. Say, Dominion is impossible without gates. Say, because of that, God needs me to show up at the right gate at the right time so I can take dominion in the rightful place. Say this with me. Say, gates determine What enters and what leaves. Say, the church must rebuild its gates. And that's really in a nutshell. I said it a lot of different ways this morning, what we covered, all right? And then we started talking about the Sheep Gate from Nehemiah 3:1. Now I want to say this to you, in Nehemiah, we're going to go through all of these gates There are 12 gates, and there are prophetically 12 governmental gates that represent prophet— because watch this, Nehemiah is a prophet. He's not a major prophet as one would suppose when you consider the continuity of scripture with minor prophets and major prophets, but Nehemiah indeed is a prophet. So he is painting a prophetic future of how the church today and kingdom citizens today should be operating, what we should be controlling, what should be important. And that's the real piece right there, because I think the church really don't understand what's important. I think a lot of times we think jumping, shouting, speaking in tongues, spitting blood, blowing bubbles is the most important things But they're not, because if we show up in here again— and I'll say this till I die— and do all of that and never show up out there, we missed the purpose for being the church. Because one of the last things Jesus said to the church was, 'Go into the world.' And if we stay in the church and never go, we've missed it. So we talked about this morning the Sheep Gate and really understanding that In the Sheep Gate, that deals with your value. It deals with the care of the flock, the care of God's people. And we start talking about how you're so important to God's process of dominion. Touch yourself, say, I'm important. I'm important. And we dealt with this idea that the Sheep Gate— glory to the name of God— did not— it represents the church not scaling just because it's excellent at organization. Because it's popular, because the preacher is popular, because people are very iconolistic, so they'll gravitate to a person. The reality is the Sheep Gate deals with the individuals in the church showing up in the world, being who God called them to be. God never called a man or a woman to build a kingdom to himself or to herself.
All right.
We're called to develop and deploy people, and we talked about that this morning, so that they can establish dominion in their fear of influence. And then secondly, we talked about the fish gate, and the fish gate just reveals to us that dominion requires kingdom expansion. You got to go fishing. Amen. The word has to multiply in the fish gate. The Bible said the word of God increased and the number of disciples multiplied. In the fish gate, glory to the name of God, we understand that the things that expand is the mission of the kingdom and not the mission of men. Are y'all hearing this? All right, because a lot of times man's agenda is completed and God's agenda goes lacking, and that's never what we want. We want to finish his course, all right, and the plan that he gave us. So I want you to write these down because I didn't get— the Holy Ghost kind of took over. I started preaching this morning, but I want you to get these about the Fish Gate. First of all, the Fish Gate teaches us to launch into the deep. Secondly, write this down, it teaches us to cast the net. So that means we got to cast the net and go fishing. I asked the question, when was the last time you went fishing? Thirdly, the Fish Gate teaches us to reach beyond our inner circle. To reach beyond what's familiar. There are people in society that need the church's influence, and we got to show up. Amen. We— I think I hit this this morning while I was preaching, but I want you to write it down because this is important. Fish swim in streams. Glory to God. What, what carries a fish distances is that they find a stream and they get in it and they just kind of flow with it. The reality is you got to find the stream that flows out of you. Saint John 7:38 says, if you believe on me, as the scripture has said, it says, out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. So I want you to understand something. You got to find the stream that should be flowing out of you, but you got to believe on him As the scripture has said, because when you show up in the world, something ought to be streaming out of you that brings change to the people you're called to affect. Are y'all hearing me? So the fish gate teaches us that fish swim in streams, so we got to tap into our stream. Are y'all hearing this? Here we go, number 6. Watch this. Some fish swim in oceans. There are some fish too big for streams. Are y'all hearing this? So when you start flowing in streams and then you flow into rivers, then you get in the ocean, and we start talking about this morning that big fish anointing where you could impact people who swim in oceans. But if you're in a creek and you never grow beyond the creek, you're never going to touch them. All right, are y'all hearing this? It's not that they're untouchable, you're just in the wrong body of water. Are y'all with me? You gotta get in the right body of water so you can touch everybody. So, and so it's progressive through the process of dominion. 6, we understand the fish gate teaches us that each ministry Hear me, glory to God. Each ministry has a measure of rule. Say this with me, say each ministry has a measure rule or a metron. So every church that God puts in the earth, there's a metron on that ministry to produce a certain measure of people that'll show up in the world. The metron on this church is to produce people of dominion, dominion heirs for lack of a better word. My job is to deploy you into the world as a person of dominion, a person who shows up as a leader. Matter of fact, part of our mission is to take followers and turn followers into leaders and leaders into agents of dominion. That's what we're here to— that's the mission statement for this church. Followers into leaders, leaders into agents of dominion. So you can't really come in here and stay a follower. That ain't the metron on this church. That's why, again, it, it progresses slowly, because it's enough mega gatherings in this city. And I told you, to do what we got to do, it ain't enough chickens in Georgia to finance what we got to do. We can't sell enough fish plates and chicken dinners to finance this. We need supernatural provision. So it's not about who's in here, it's about the metron on our life. Because if 25 of y'all go into the world and become billionaires, guess what? We good. Y'all ain't got to talk to me here. But that's why you got to get the teacher, because that's the measure on this house. A person that just wants to be a follower wouldn't survive in here. They're gonna have to go up the street and find them a pastor that has a pastor metron on their life. That's not what's happening in this room. When we come in this room, this space has been created. And when we move around the corner to the new building on Boulder Crest in September, guess what? That room is going to be the same thing. We're going to be treating people in a way that they're a follower that's going to become a leader, and a leader that's become an agent of dominion. That's what we're here for. So we got to understand our purpose. Our purpose really is not to visually be busting out the seams. You know what I want? I want 25 of y'all to be busting out the seams in your bank account. Y'all gotta talk to me here. That's what I want. I, I, I, I— because we can have 150 folk in here. Y'all are talking to me here, and, and everybody broke. Now I'd rather have 25 millionaires. You only got to talk to me here. Then 1,500 folk that ain't— that can't even get the concept that I need to expand my pockets. Now I'm not saying anything wrong with that, but that ain't the metronome on my life. If you come to me like that and you listen and you got the capacity to learn, when I get through with you, you're gonna be Agent of Dominion. Are y'all hearing this? Okay, that's the transformation we want to see. So we, we kind of COVID those things. So regardless of the size of the net, watch this, we are called to fish. The question is, what are we fishing for? All right, and again, there's a metron on every ministry. We're not all fishing for the same thing. I'm telling my metron is to fish for those that are followers and want to be leaders, and leaders who want to be agents of dominion. That's the metron on the life of this church. Are y'all, y'all getting that? So let's go to Nehemiah 3:6 and let's get in this tonight. Glory to God. Thank y'all for coming out on a Sunday night. Glory to Jesus. Wonderful Savior. Nehemiah 3:6. I think it should be in there, Mario. Yeah, Nehemiah 3:6. We're going to talk about this next gate, the Old Gate. Somebody say the Old Gate. So let's read Nehemiah 3:6. It says, moreover, the Old Gate repaired Johaida son of Paseah and Masullam son of Besodia. So I want you to see something here. There are three Glory to the name of God. Sons of prophets. So Pasia was a prophet. Hear this, uh, glory to God. Just, just see, Jo— Jehoiada was a prophet. Mashallam was a prophet. Basadiah was a prophet. Somebody say, 'Four prophets.' Mashallam was the son of a prophet. Jehoiada was a son of a prophet. Here's the indication here is that prophetic strands or prophetic DNA, it runs through your genes. Even if your mama or daddy wasn't a prophet— watch this— Jesus was the chief of all prophets. Okay, are y'all hearing this? So you have Jesus in your spiritual DNA. And if we're gonna watch this, he said he's made us kings and priests in Revelation. So, and that Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy. Yeah, so if Jesus Christ is the Spirit of Prophecy, then you ought to have a prophetic inclination on how you should strategically move forward into the future. Now I want you to see something interesting about this text. These prophetic men had the assignment— watch this— to repair the old gate. See, most prophets think they're pushing people into something new. Are y'all with me? You got to understand this: you're not pushed into something new by the prophetic. You're actually being pushed into what God already decided, because the prophets taps into God's historical mind. And watch this, it's an old gate. You just got clear of it. Are y'all hearing this? It's actually an old gate. It's new to you, but it's old to God because it's in the dimension of the spirit. Are y'all with me? So, so these prophets now said we got to build the old gate so the emerging generations can pass through this old gate. And this is why we cannot disdain old foundations, the people that have gone before us, because they have tapped into some things sometimes that we have not tapped into. The Bible said they laid the beams thereof, they set up the doors thereof and the locks thereof and the bars thereof. So they rebuilt the gate, put the locks on it, made sure it was secure, made sure this gate would never fail. Are y'all hearing me? Say this with me, say the old gate will never fail. Say, what God has ordained is perfect. I want y'all to get this now, because a lot of times when we come into new revelations and stuff, we think that we have to set aside the old gate, and that's not what they're saying. When you get a new revelation, it's just really to build on the foundation of the old gate. We're not to do away with the things of the past. Are y'all hearing this? I remember growing up, I remember, uh, Mother Estella Boyd and Mother Elsie Shaw. These women flew, they flowed in such power. Are y'all hearing this? I mean, and they, they wasn't like the church look like now. But they could get up and go to saying, just tell you, say thank you, Lord. Clap your hands and say thank you, Lord. That's where I get a lot of that stuff from. That comes from the old gate because I will see Mother Shaw get to doing that and people in wheelchairs, this, and it wasn't no cameras on this stuff. Folk we know who was crippled and sick with palsy, with AIDS and cancers, the power flowed through these women's soul, they would get healed. You know why? Because they were praying women who laid at the old gate with God. And some of this stuff, because it sounds new, we think it's God's new way. But it sounds new with no power. Are y'all hearing this? Give me power with God any day. And there's power. We're gonna see this in a minute in the old gate. And watch this, not saying we should dwell there, but now what I'm telling you, we cannot get rid of it. It's what we're built on. If we take that away, we will fall. Are y'all hearing this? So let's get into it. So the— these gates, the old gate should not be abandoned. Say that with me. Say the old gate should never be abandoned. So if they, if they represent foundational truths that we need to always hold dear, and this is why the church has gone haywire and confused, because we've gotten away from these foundational truths that we should be practicing and hold dear to our heart. Okay, let's just talk about a few of them. These include number one, the blood of Jesus. Anytime the church gets away from the power of the blood of Jesus, we have gone too far. Are y'all hearing this? None of us are here without the blood of Jesus. It's that redemptive, efficacious, vicarious, substitutionary Oh my God, redemptive work of Calvary that makes us who we are. And I'm gonna tell you something, there's still power in that blood. And I remember mothers in our church would just get up and plead the blood. They would plead the blood over the children, plead the blood over the church. Nobody ever broke in our church, no one broke in our houses because we kept the blood over our house. Are y'all, are y'all hearing this? These are things we cannot leave away from. Say that with me. Say, there's power in the blood. So, so you ought to be— you ought to plead the blood every day. Oh yeah, because there's power in it. You depend on your insurance, put the blood over— you better put the blood over your body. You better plead the blood over your body before you need the insurance. If— watch this— if you make the blood important, insurance won't be urgent. I'll say that again. You make the blood important, insurance won't be urgent. Oh yeah, are y'all hearing this? Because the blood of Jesus will cover you. But the church have lost interest in these things because it didn't— it in deep. We'd rather tell folk you're gonna float and you're gonna fly and we're gonna do all this stuff, and we want to lay in the floor. Are y'all hearing this? The reality is, don't worry about it, y'all, we good. Just don't let it take you out of what we're doing. Glory to God. We— they'll watch it later if it ain't live right now. Glory to God. Somebody said we need the blood. Come on, say it again. We need the blood. The reality is the same blood that saved you heals. The same blood that heals provides. The same blood that provides takes demons out of play. Do you know what? If the blood of Jesus is covering your life, demonic forces have no place. I think some people have built a market around warfare. Y'all ain't got to talk to me here. They built a whole market about chasing demons and casting demons out and warfare, but I promise you, if you learn how to walk in the blood, there won't be no need for a lot of the warfare we think we need to do. God, plead the blood over your mind. God have mercy. Okay, all right, so that's, that's one. We can't abandon the blood of Jesus. This is a good one. Y'all gonna think we are automatically doing this, but I'm telling you we're not. The second one We cannot abandon the old gate of new birth. If any man be in Christ, he's a new creation. All things are passed away, all things have become new. Thomas, where everybody believe that? But there's some folk— it's a, it's a big movement of inclusionists out there that'll tell you there's no such thing as a new birth. That everybody that's saved is already saved. The teaching and the doctrine says that if you were born into the world, the cross already applies to your life whether you receive Jesus or not. And the teaching is therefore there is no hell because the blood and everybody's saved. And one of the dummies that came up with this foolishness is a homosexual who couldn't believe— he, well, he, he never was an open homosexual, but he certainly died a homosexual. He was a homosexual. Glory to God. The reality is, because as smart as he was, he was dumb. Are y'all hearing this? Smartest this man was, and I loved his preaching, I loved his teaching, but dumb. Because for you to come to a point to believe if God won't deliver you from being gay and you can't stop being gay, then he won't send you to hell for it— the devil is a liar. You, you need deliverance. You need to plead the blood over your life and get them demons out of your life.
We—
when you get born again, you ought to be a new creation. Are y'all hearing this? Say new birth. Say, watch this, even Jesus said to Nicodemus, you must be born again. Nicodemus said, well, how can a man enter into his mother's womb again? No, no, no, no, that that is born of the flesh is flesh, but that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Are y'all with me? Number 3, number 3. We can't abandon Holy Ghost. Holy Ghost is in the old gate. There's some people that really believe— first of all, when you get saved, as soon as you say, 'I repent of my sin,' that the Holy Ghost moves in right at that moment. That doesn't happen. Calvary and Pentecost are two different experiences. Are y'all with me? So you go to Calvary to get redeemed from sin. You go to Pentecost to get power. After they got redeemed, the instruction was go to Jerusalem and wait there till you be endued with power from on high. And the Bible said, Acts chapter 2, when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they was in one place, in one accord, and the Holy Ghost fell. Like it came, there was a sound from heaven like a mighty rushing wind. And when that sound hit, the Bible said cloven tongues sat on the head of everybody that was there, and they began to speak in tongues, and everybody understood one another in their language. That's an experience. The old gate teaches us this because, watch this, people don't want to take time to make sure people get filled with the Holy Ghost these days because that takes time. When I got filled with the Holy Ghost, it was in a tarry service on a Friday night. I got on the altar and I called Jesus until the Holy Ghost took over my life and my tongue, and I started speaking in other tongues. The reality is That didn't just happen on one Friday night. I had to come a few Friday nights before I actually got it. The church today is lazy. We don't want that kind of tearing, that kind of pursuit. And I'm not just saying you got to do it that way, because there's another way. The Bible said the apostles laid hands on them and they were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke with other tongues. I've seen it happen that way. I've laid hands on folk and bam, they got filled, spoke immediately. Either way, it's a different experience. So we got to repair the old gate. We cannot settle for what everybody else is doing because it's convenient. Watch this, because people like it, because the church now caters to what people want. Instead of what God wants. Do you really believe— I mean, I want y'all to really understand something, because I think some of y'all think this is tyranny or something, coming back on Sunday night. You really believe I won't be in here on Sunday night? I'm here out of obedience to God, just like you. God said do it, and I'm obeying him because I don't know what he's going to do in these services. There's something he's setting us up for in this experience. Are y'all hearing this? So we gotta align ourselves and be obedient. And you got people complaining about it, and the reality is you're complaining about a blessing and an opportunity to obey God. Listen, I'd rather be at home doing something else. Are y'all hearing this? But God— I take pleasure in obeying God. And one of the ways we're going to build this old gate, we, we're going, we're going to be able to come in here and have a whole lot more freedom than we would on Sunday morning. Are y'all hearing this? So we, we can't get rid of the Holy Spirit and his gifts, his anointings, his multifaceted abilities that he manifests through us. We just can't come in church, have church for 75 minutes, and don't let the gifts flow. We got to repair the old gate. The church ought to be full of power. I'll never forget this. This is years ago, and my wife— man, bless her, she's gone on to be with the Lord— but her brother David Curry was playing at the time for Bishop G.E. Patterson. So I remember when David got that job, he said Brother-in-law, I'm gonna know how I'm gonna do it, but you gotta preach at G. Patterson Church. I'm gonna get you up there. And finally he got me up there and I preached. But when I got through preaching, I had an altar call. I started praying for people, casting out demons, started prophesying, people getting filled with the Holy Ghost. And some of the elders was looking at me like, what is he doing? You in a whole Church of God in Christ Pentecostal church and you don't understand what I'm doing? I mean, this is what should be happening in here. Are y'all hearing this? And Bishop was overjoyed. He would come out and say, man, I love it, we need that in the church. The reality is those are manifestations of the Holy Ghost. We need his spirit to operate in the church. Church can be too dead. No gifts ever go forth. People come in one way and leave the same way. That's not the way it should be. When I was growing up in church and we was in the old gate, somebody got healed every week. Somebody got filled with the Holy Ghost every week. Deliverance happened every week because we understood this is what we came for. I was talking to my daddy today. They're getting ready to celebrate, uh, 40 years of the church being there, and he wanted me to preach during the 40th anniversary for the church. And me and him were talking. He said, it's because he asked me, he said, well, whenever you want to go, I'm gonna let you come, and then I'm gonna put everybody else around you. I said, well, I think it's only befitting I come first because I was there when nobody else was. Oh yeah, so I'm gonna be the first one in this because out of the 40 years, I was there when it started in the living room. But when we started in the living room, people were getting healed then. Breakthroughs were happening then. Are y'all hearing this? So I need you to understand, and it was in a house. Oh y'all, listen to this. The reality is that's what the church should look like. Not this old, dead, dry, going to sleep. Are y'all hearing this? If you go to sleep in church, that bout mean you're in the wrong church. Because not only are you wrong for being sleepy showing up But the church so boring— are y'all hearing this— that you can't even stay awake. Something's wrong with that. It ought to be something happening that's so exciting about God that you can't sleep, man. I ain't never— I got my season ticket holder for the Hawks. I never went to a Hawks game and looked around the arena and seen nobody sleeping. They be locked in for them whole 48 minutes. Are y'all hearing this? Cheering and jumping and yelling and going in for a basketball team. Are y'all hearing me? But we come to church and can't stay alive for the word for 45 minutes. I mean, sometimes even in worship we about gone. And the devil is like, we shouldn't be sleeping in worship. Oh yeah, okay, all right. So there was no way you were gonna sleep in the church I grew up in because they were gonna find something to make some noise with— a hanger, a washboard. We didn't have no whole drum at one time and somebody just go beating the one bass drum, just beating it. You gonna be woke. Are y'all hearing this? Tambourine shaking, because there was gonna be some noise in there. Yeah, I mean, we can't have— because that's— those are manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Fourthly, watch this. This includes the old gate, the first principles. Listen to this, of faith. Go to Hebrews 6, verses 1 and 2. Hebrews 6, verses 1 and 2. Let's read. That. He said, therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ. Now watch this, he didn't say cut off from it. Leaving— the word leaving there means to mature and grow up away from the foundation. So if you look at a tree, that tree is not cut away from its roots, because you cut it away from its roots, it's going to die. It's still attached to the roots you don't see. Are y'all hearing me? That's why a lot of times, as I've grown up away from my roots, who I am still exudes through my growth. Because watch this, if the roots that you don't see— say this is an apple tree, it's still an apple tree. Somebody could have took all the apples off, it's still an apple tree. Are y'all hearing this? And the root suggests that it is. And you're going to exert, or what is in you is going to emerge, that's connected to your rooting. Watch this, the root determined the fruit. So who you are is based on the principles, should be, of the doctrine of Christ. So if I start getting off the doctrine of Christ, because you can start teaching some stuff— are y'all hearing this— that doesn't connect with what Christ taught. Okay, y'all ain't got to believe, but there's some preachers out there, listen to them long enough, some of this stuff they talk about ain't connected to what Jesus is saying. Okay, all right, let me keep reading. He said, lead the principle, grow up away from your roots. Don't detach, but grow. Become the tree, become the person of dominion you're called to be. He said, let us go on to perfection. You know, that's for the folk that make the excuse, ain't nobody perfect. The option for perfection is there. If you stand on the doctrine of Christ, you literally can be perfect. You just gotta wanna be. And, and you're at this age and stage in my life, I, my everyday, I'm like, Lord, I want to perfect perfection. Someone said that may be impossible, you're human. But if I stand on the doctrine of Christ You're not gonna preach to me and tell me I got to sin. People create theologies that uphold their failure, that make them feel good about doing something wrong, when this in the Bible too. I'm saying, well, that ain't what that means. Yeah, teleios in Greek means to mature beyond infractions. So that means teleos means you, you are complete, you are mature beyond infractions. Oh boy, do you want to grow beyond infractions? You just have to want that. It ain't gonna just drop in your lap. You gotta want to mature beyond infractions. You gotta want to mature beyond fornication. Oh God, the homosexual has matured beyond homosexuality, lesbianism. You can go on to perfection. Well, I got grace. Yes, you do, but if you really want to go on to perfection, you can. Watch this. Jesus was tempted and tried on all points. He was a righteous example, right? The Bible said he was yet without sin, tried on every point, no sin in his life. Touch yourself, say, I can be perfect. I have to stand on a solid foundation. Watch what he says. Let us go into perfection. Not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works. So in other words, if as you mature, you're not going to be repenting about the same thing over and over again. Well, Lord, I woke up in the wrong bed again. Please forgive me. Are y'all here? At some point you should get past that. Are y'all with me? You should get past coming short of the glory of God. Repentance is metanoia in Greek, which is a change of mind, a change of heart— here we go— and a change of behavior. So when I really repent, I stop doing what I ask for forgiveness for. So it really ain't true repentance until you stop. So if you're still doing it, you really kind of in sin. You might not be a sinner, but you sin-ish. Y'all hearing this? Okay. Yeah, so you, you got to figure out how can you not lay this foundation again. I'm just saying, if you want to be a dominion there. A person of dominion— to whom much is given, much is required. Now you can play the grace card all your life and, and slide into heaven, but guess what? You ain't gonna never have heaven on earth because every time you sin, you separate yourself from God and you got to get back in rightful place. Are y'all hearing this? So you might as well go on and grow and stop doing those dead works, those things that don't bring life, those things that are not profitable. Are y'all with me? So, so the old gate is important. They taught us holiness at the old gate. Somebody say that when I say holiness is still right. Lord have mercy, it's still right. And, and, and somebody told me one time, where's your church? Gonna always be small 'cause you preach about holiness too much. You preach about sin too much. Well, if that's gonna be the case, we gonna always be small. Even though I didn't receive that because I believe that revival is gonna come and there's gonna be a people that wants to be right. There's gonna be a people that wanna be holy. There's gonna be a people that wants to be saved and live before God. Watch this, with practical Christianity. and responsible holiness. Are y'all hearing this? And guess what? I can stand here and tell you with both of my hands above my feet, I ain't always got it right in my life. I have made mistakes and I've had to repent, but I realized that I had to find a road to perfection because the works that I was performing in my flesh was dead works. And they was not productive. Are y'all hearing this? And you know what, when you call to dominion, I'ma just be honest with you, there's some stuff others can get away with that you can't. Yeah, they can do it and shout and preach and be all right and have no conviction. But you're gonna be convicted, you're gonna feel bad, the Holy Ghost is gonna wear you out because you got too much to bring forth. Are y'all hearing this? He said, let's not lay again the foundation of repentance from dead works— watch this— and faith toward God. Lord, how did we get so bad? Because this is at the— faith toward God is at the old gate. We got to believe God is God. I think this generation of people put more stock in the preacher— oh boy— and the building where they go worship than they do God. And when you do that, you end up idolizing a man. And then what God says, I don't— he'll tell you, okay, I told you to have no other gods before me. So when you make that man an idol, he will strip him and show you he's a man. Are y'all hearing this? I don't want to— I don't have to name names, but over time we've seen major ministries exposed because people were idolizing them. Are y'all hearing this? And the reality is there's only one God, and we got to put our faith in him. He's the one that gets it done. He's the one that opens doors and makes ways. He's the one that keeps us. We're living and breathing because of him. That's not because of any man. So our faith has to be toward God. Watch this, not even in his ability, in him. See, a lot of people say, I got faith, I got faith, I trust God, but they really are only saying that because of what they want God to do. God is not a sugar daddy. He's not a pimp. Are y'all hearing this? He's not the Candyman. He is your King. He is your Father. And when you put total trust in him, the rest of the stuff is available. So you have to begin to ask yourself, on the road to perfection and dominion, what are you really trusting God for? Him or his stuff? Do you want his heart or his hand? His secret: if you chase his heart His hand comes automatically. But if you just chasing his stuff and you say because you trying to wait him out to see what he gonna give you— there are a lot of people in church who really don't believe there is a God, but they kind of waiting it out to see if it's real. They're kind of waiting it out to see if what they've been hearing and what they've been preaching and believing all this time is really real. It's real. You have an opportunity to have a relationship with your Daddy. Are y'all here? He says repentance from dead works and faith toward God and of the doctrine of baptisms. You still got some ignorant folk who will fight you tooth and nail about how you were baptized, and they'll tell you you ain't saved if you weren't baptized like them. He says, let's not lay that foundation again, because there are people who believe if you weren't baptized in Jesus' name and you were baptized in the name of Father, Son, Holy Ghost, you ain't saved. I just choose to believe that God's got more stuff to do to judge you based on whether you went down in the name of Jesus or in the titles that represent him. They still represent him. Yeah. Now, for the record, if I baptize you Because I am an apostle, I'm gonna baptize you like the apostles baptized. And in Acts 2:42, 2:38, the Bible says that they— you repent, be filled with the Holy Ghost, and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of your sin.
Now, I'm—
that's how I'm gonna take you down, in Jesus' name. Everything you're doing, word or deed, do it in the name of Jesus. That's the apostles' doctrine. But I'm not going to tell a person that's been down in Father, Son, Holy Ghost Well, you weren't baptized right, and you ain't going to heaven because you went down that way. There's some people that say that foolishness. I know a preacher, he would tell folk, you cannot go to heaven unless you come to this church and join, because we're the only church in the city that's going to make sure you're filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus' name. Because he, he was telling that lie till he died. And the reality is, glory to God, we can't lay that foundation of doctrine of baptism. Let's go on down whatever name you— next year is Jesus, or Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Now I might have something to say to you, you've been down in the name of Buddha. Yeah, ain't no power in that. But, but we're talking about the ways it speaks of in the Bible. Jesus, the one that even said baptizing them in the name of Father, Son, Holy Ghost. How you gonna argue with Jesus? He said that himself. And if you still got a problem with baptizing folks, just do it both. If you can't get it right, just throw them down, say in the name of Father, Son, Holy Ghost, name of Jesus. You're done. I'm just saying, we can't lay that foundation Amen. Because guess what? If you don't change in the heart— because John said, there's one coming mightier than I, Matthew 3:11, whose shoes I'm not worthy to latch. He shall baptize you with Holy Ghost and with fire. So if you ain't been baptized with Holy Ghost and fire, the water is just another bath you took. You just got wet. Are y'all hearing this? So it says, look, look, look, let's not lay that foundation. He says, let's go on to perfection. Somebody said, we gotta grow from the old gate. And of laying on of hands. Oh boy, we got to lay hands, man, and we can't fight about this. But there are some churches that'll put you out if you lay hands on somebody. I preached for a guy one time in Richmond, Virginia. He was, uh, this was way back when everybody was having the clear pool pits, and you know, everybody wanted to be a Word of Faith church and be like Copeland. And they were walking and talking like him, and glory to God, all that stuff. And so he was one of them guys. And so I went, little Pentecostal preacher, when he invited me to preach because he had saw me preach at another church and he enjoyed the word. He said, man, my people need what's in you. So he invited me. I wasn't finished going. First of all, back then everywhere I went I was preaching in cassocks, robes. So I came out with my robe on And, you know, they were looking at me crazy then. He couldn't appreciate that because, you know, they walk around with suits, right? Which is, you know, maybe I probably should have did a little more research and wore a suit. I didn't. I mean, I was young, but I came in there and preached, just preached, man. People going crazy. And then I started prophesying to folk and laying hands. When I got through, that man said, I ain't tell you to touch my people. Your people. Are y'all hearing this? He said, I didn't tell you touch my people. He said, nobody told you to lay hands. We don't do that here. I brought you here to teach the word, and then you should have wore something different. That kind of stuff right there. But these people were blessed, people were healed, people were delivered, people were set free. But you didn't want that. And there's so many in the church now that don't want that, but hands laying is necessary. That's why you got to be in the right place so you can make sure that there's integrity laying hands on you, because there's a such thing as transference of spirits. See, what he didn't realize— see, he couldn't discern that I was anointed because he wasn't anointed. Because the anointing recognizes the anointing. Y'all ain't got to talk to me. If you're anointed, you know the anointing. See, and he would have been okay if he would have understood that, but he wasn't because he didn't understand the anointing. The reality is you should lay hands on no man suddenly, and you shouldn't let nobody lay hands on you suddenly. That's why y'all got to be careful, because in the old gate they taught us you can't go to every meeting. You don't need to be everybody conference and everybody church and everybody— you don't know what them folk doing laying their hands on you. If you know like I know, I'm telling you, I know what the road is like. I know what these people be— and that's why I work so hard to live a holy life when I traveled, because these people be out there sleeping with folk in every city. They had folk at churches that they slept with at every church they went to. They had a whole wife at home. That's why their wife never traveled with them. Okay, so we have to be careful who put their hands on your head. Are y'all with me? When you operate in dominion and you want to perfect your life, you can't allow things that are not of God to put their hands upon you. 'Cause, oh boy, you don't want— and then you wonder why you thinking certain stuff. Okay, all right, why you dream that? You had the wrong hands on you. Are y'all hearing this? Have to be careful of laying over hands. And watch this, of the resurrection of the dead. This, this is about even Jesus getting up. There are some faiths that believe Jesus didn't even really get up. He actually got up for real. Other faiths teach us that their gods died and stayed dead. They teach that Buddha's still in a cemetery somewhere, Hare Krishna still in the cemetery, Muhammad's buried somewhere in America. Are y'all hearing this? I'm talking about Elijah Muhammad, then the other Muhammad, he buried over there in the Middle East. And in most other religions, you find— watch this— people sacrificing for their god. They will die for their god. Muslims will come up to you with a bomb on them and die for their god. But only in Christianity, our God dies for us. Oh God, how awesome is that? And only in Christianity our God actually rose from the dead. Somebody said, Michael Woods, how are you so sure that you weren't there? Well, I thank God that not only did he get up from the grave, but that resurrection power also, when Holy Ghost moves in, he resurrects inside of me. The old song we just sing in Sunday school. He lives, he lives, Christ Jesus lives today. He walks with me, talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives, he lives, salvation to impart. Ask me how I know he lives. He lives in my heart. That's not just a cute little song. He really lived there. And you gotta know that he's risen and that he's alive. Watch this. And of internal judgment. This is one we do not want to talk about. About, but the old Gate talked about it a lot. Let me tell you something, if there's a heaven, heaven can't have context without hell. Are y'all with me? What purpose is it for you to have heaven and there ain't no hell? You listen, if you don't live saved, you're going to hell. If you live right, you're going to heaven. Are y'all hearing this? But you're gonna be judged. I'm gonna be judged. We're gonna stand before Jesus and have to give an account of our life on earth. The question is, will you be ready when Judgment Day comes? Watch this, and it's going to start at the church. The Bible said judgment starts at the house of the Lord, and the Bible said the righteous scarcely make it in. So we definitely ain't got people out here now that don't want to talk about building this gate because we want people to— we want to preach hope. Most preachers, that's what they are. They're named dope dealers, they hope dealers. And all they doing is preaching hope, when in reality we need to tell people that the other side of that is you won't inherit that hope if judgment don't turn out too good for you. Are y'all hearing this? Oh yeah, okay. So these two verses— and I'm, and I'm almost done, for real— they, they share with us that foundations must remain intact. We can't stop talking about heaven. We can't stop talking about hell. We can't stop talking about the resurrection of the dead. We can't stop laying on hands. We can't stop baptizing. We can't stop having faith in God. And we got to stop repenting from dead works. Are y'all hearing this? Yes, sir. Because it's dangerous, man, that in some season again, a fresh revelation. The church has abandoned these principles for the sake of money, for the sake of numbers. I went to a pastor's conference one time, and the whole time all them guys up in there— Bill Hybels, Rick Warren— all them guys talk. If you want to grow a church, they said 3 things you should never preach about. One is sin. I said, well, then if this the principles I got to go by, I done lost already. But I thank God that I know better than that. Like, he said, can't preach about sin, do not preach about sexuality, keep— don't talk about what folk do at home, don't preach about the homosexuals, the lesbians, or the fornicators or adulterers. Don't ever openly say those words. Don't ever openly say anything about sin. Then thirdly, don't ever mention hell. And if you— and he said, if you don't do these things, he said, there are so many other things to preach about in the Bible, your churches will grow. And these are men that everybody in there except me probably thought they was an authority. Because they had the largest churches in America. Are y'all hearing this? They were seeker-sensitive churches who built ministry around people who are seeking membership in a community. But if I got to water down the word to make you feel good to be a part, I'm not doing my job. Are y'all with me? We gotta tell the truth. Man, last scripture, go to Ezra 3 and verse 11. It should be on the screen, and we're going to close with this. Well, go back to that one. Let's read that one first. Uh, glory to God. Ezra— well, that ain't, that ain't Ezra, that's Psalm 23 and 4. Maybe I ain't got Ezra up here. Let me just read it to you. The Bible said, Ezra 3:11, it said they shouted hallelujah and they sang responsibly, praising and giving thanks unto the Lord. Why did they do this? They did this because the foundation of the temple had been laid. So you should rejoice that there's an old gate, not trying to tear it down and do away with it. There's nothing wrong with the old gate. Well, Apostle, you know, Apostle Woods, the— you cannot put old wine, new wine in old wineskins. Well, that's the word. And this— we're not trying to put new wine in old wineskins. We're trying to build on the foundation of the old gate. Remember, gates are entrances and exits. A wineskin is the skin of a fruit. Two different outcomes. If we build on the old gate, we'll have new wineskins to pour in because we are increasing what we've learned and magnifying it in the light of the new revelation, not tearing it away. Some people are called a prayer, an old wineskin. And like I said, the Holy Ghost, an old wineskin, and it's not so. Listen, and I'm gonna close with this: dominion cannot be established, it will not come forth when foundations are weak. And I'm telling you, for where we're going, God is laying a foundation for us. So that we can erect a model of dominion that can be imitated, that people can ascribe to. It's got to be strong. You play sloth— softly, Pastor Jeffrey. I'm done. It's got to be rigid so that when others come upon it, we won't be moved. Watch this. I heard you, Lord. This process will often be attacked. I just heard that in my spirit because people don't understand and people fight what they don't understand. They'll call this a cult. They'll wonder how in the world we're doing what we're doing because they don't understand that we're possessing the gates and that we're trusting God to do his part in our life. So it'll always be attacked. We on this road, people are not going to understand. People will try to discourage you. They'll tell you that's too much, you're praying too much, you're studying too much, you go to church too much. How in the world you can go to church too much and you go to work every day? Are y'all hearing this? What if I told you the closer you get with God, the less you have to work? I'm talking about you, you, you can put yourself in a position where you work for him and you don't need to report to anybody else. So when God gives you opportunity to find ways through gates that'll get you closer to him, that's going to eliminate things in your past, you should embrace them. Y'all stand, I'm done. But you shouldn't buckle when you get attacked. I want to encourage you, don't buckle your knees, don't let them see you sweat, but stand through and say, I'm going all the way with the Lord. Did y'all learn something tonight about the old gate? Glory to God. We're gonna pray. Grab one person by both hands tonight. We're gonna pray really quick. Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus. Just squeeze those hands you're holding. For your name is great and greatly to be praised. For your name is great and greatly to be praised. Come on, put some pressure in that hand you're holding. Your name, your name. For your name is great and greatly to be praised. Oh yeah, oh, for your name is great. And greatly to be praised. Oh Lord, we love you tonight. For your name is great and greatly to be praised. Oh, for your name is great and greatly to be praised. Squeeze that hand. Father, in the name of Jesus, come on, just begin to pray in the spirit that the person you're holding will begin to possess the gates, and that no gate that hell has built will be able to stop their life, their purpose, their dreams, their destiny. So come on, begin to pray really quick. We give you praise, God. Hallelujah. We thank you for the Sheep Gate, the Fish Gate, and even tonight we thank you for the Old Gate. Father, we pray now that we will leave the principles of the doctrine and move on to perfection. And even as we're interceding tonight, we thank you for perfection in our mind, perfection in our body, perfection in our thought process, our behavior, perfection when it comes to obedience and doing the things that you've called us to do. God, we'll lay aside every sin and weight that easily besets us from the dominion of the king. And God, tonight, in the name of Jesus, we declare that we will forge forward into new spaces and new places. I release under the sound of my voice the spirit of dominion, and I thank you that under the sound of my voice tonight, whether in this room or on this video, I decree and declare that the spirit of dominion rests on every person that hears my voice. And I decree and declare that they'll dominate their atmosphere, they'll dominate spaces and places, they'll dominate in society, that they will show up and you will do great things in their life. And we give you praise and glory for it now. Thank you, God, that we will live in live works, not dead works. Works. The things we do will pertain to life. The things we do will uplift you. The places we go, the people we're connected to, will bring glory to your name. And we bless you for it now. In the— in the name of Jesus. And we thank you, God. We believe eternal judgment is real. And so, Father, I thank you that under the sound of my voice, that those that hear will live right. Because I heard the song say, if I live right, heaven belongs to me. And I declare in the name of Jesus that our behavior will reflect not just where we're going, but where we are, and that we'll have heaven on earth. I bind up the spirit of sin. Bind up lying, bind up cheating, bind up fornicating, bind up adultery in the name of Jesus. Cast the devil out of the mind and break down every stubborn will. We bind up deception and delusion. We bind up every place we come short, not doing our assignment, not fulfilling our purpose, God, bring us higher so that the judgment will be favorable, and we praise you for it. In the mighty name of Jesus, we declare it, we declare it. Not only will we go to heaven, but we'll carry heaven on earth. And because of the old gate, the glory through gifts and the Holy Ghost will flow in our life. Stir up every gift. Under the sound of my voice, every prophetic anointing, every education anointing, every teaching anointing, stir it up, God. Every apostolic anointing, every entrepreneur anointing, every inventor's anointing, stir it up in the name of Jesus. And I declare it to be so. And I declare because of this, we'll have streams that flow into the world. Thank you for big fish that'll be attracted to what's on our lives. And thank you, Lord, that they'll be saved and their lives will be changed in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. And thanks be to God. Would you lose your hands and just shout in this place for a few moments? Come on, shout it for the new gates, the new places you're entering into because of the old gate, because you embrace the principles of the root, because you're being resurrected with him. Hallelujah! You're operating in power in the Holy Ghost. And your behavior is responsible. We give you praise, God. We give you glory. In the mighty name of Jesus. In the mighty name of Jesus. So be it. And thanks be to God. Clap your hands again and give God praise. Come on. Hallelujah! For your name is great and greatly to be praised. For your name, your name and greatly be praised. Thank you, Lord, for your name is great and greatly to be praised. Yes. Sata bhai. For your name is great and greatly to be praised. Clap your hands, everybody, and love on him. We're going home. Glory to God. We're going to give really quickly. Get your best offering, whatever that is, and bless the Lord on tonight. We give God praise. Thank you guys so much for coming out. Whatever that is, just get it, give it here or on the way. We're gonna pray all at one time. Y'all standing, everybody stand. Oh yeah, for your name is great. Greatly to be praised for your name, your name, your name, your name, for your name. And greatly to be Hallelujah! Oh, your name is great and greatly to be praised. I'll say yes. Yes, Lord, yes. To your will and to your way, I'll say yes, Lord, yes. I will trust you and obey when the Spirit speaks to me. With my whole heart I agree, and my answer will be yes, Lord. Yes. Thank you, Jesus. Yes, Lord. Yes, we're going to your will and to your way. I'll say yes. Lord, yes. Y'all tell him yes. I will trust you and obey when the Spirit speaks to me. With my whole heart, I'll agree, and my answer We'll be— yes, Lord, yes. Hallelujah. Father, bless every gift, every giver. Return it back to them a thousand times more. Bless every person that made a sacrifice to be in this room tonight. And Father, may this Sunday night service continue to grow. God, add new faces to this Sunday night experience. This. Send visitors and people from the north, the south, and east and west to experience what we're hearing, what we're learning, to, to experience the message of dominion. And we give you praise and glory for it. Now we say yes, God. We're here on Sunday night because we said yes. And God, we're going to say yes to you and to your will and your plan, and whatever you tell us to do, we're going to do do it in the mighty name of Jesus. Bless us as we go. I pray this week that even for our cruise, you will cause there to be an abundance of phone calls, not just from our church but from people everywhere that will see the advertisement, that they will get on this boat and experience the message of Dominion, and that their lives will be changed. And we give you praise and glory for it now, in the mighty name of Jesus. We bless you. Hug somebody tonight and tell them you love them. You are dismissed. Glory to God. Don't forget our leadership training on tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. Leadership training, 8 o'clock.
